For me this is a very good mobile phone. It have a little software problem but it can be fixed but simply formatting the mobile. I have never dropped the mobile so I don't know what will happen then. But for now this is the best for price.

Returned one as battery only holds charge for a day.

New one has arrived, worked OK but turned itself off & will not now turn back on.

Will need to return it to supplier again.

Hate design, think I may just buy another phone for the SIM card!

Never again.

Undoubtedly the worst mobile I owned, purchased it new 6 months ago through Telstra the phone has been back for repairs 4 times in the past 2 months Telstra will not replace it even though it is still under warranty they claim it is an issue I should take up with Nokia.

This 6120C turns off by itself an cannot be turned back on unless the battery is removed & replaced the last time I got it back from repairs within 6 hours the camera turned on by itself & was taking random pictures every 20 to 30 seconds, again unable to stop it as none of the buttons worked even taking the battery out & replacing it didn't stop this problem as soon as the mobile was turned on it went into camera mode instantly, I will never purchase a Nokia again & will never deal with Telstra either as they are very customer unfriendly.

Can confirm that this is the worst phone I have owned. Battery lasts less than a day. Texts take up to a day to arrive, or is that Orange. Missed calls register sometimes.
Notifications of messages always several hours later. Gets very warm on a call which worries me that its frying my rapidly depleting brain cells. Camera is good to be fair, but that's about all, but I didn't buy it for that!

The 6120 is very handy & is so easy to use. The multi tasking tool makes it easy for you to send a message while sending images on Bluetooth, while even you're on a music playing mode. Very good phone! The multi task option is cool!

I THINK THAT THIS IS ONE OF the MOST FASCINATING PHONES I EVER SEEN. LET'S START WITH the LOOK, Nokia's 6120 CLASSIC IS AN OK LOOKING PHONE. The SCREEN IS A NORMAL SIZED 240 x 320 BUT IT HAS AN ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING 16 MILLION COLOURS! IT HAS A 2 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA WITH FLASH, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'VE DONE BUT IT'S AS GOOD AS A Sony Ericsson K800i's 3.2 MEGAPIXEL CYBERSHOT CAMERA & WHEN YOU LOOK AT the PHOTOS ON A PC IT IS CLEAR THAT THERE ISN'T THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE. ITS BATTERY IS GOOD & LASTS FOR 9 DAYS. IT HAS A GOOD MUSIC PLAYER WHICH SUPPORTS THESE FORMATS MP3, M4A, eAAC+ & WMA. WMA IS A FORMAT USED ON the CD'S & A COMPUTER'S RECORDER RECORD IN THIS FORMAT ASWELL. IT HAS 35MB INTERNAL PHONE MEMORY & of COURSE YOU CAN BUY A MICRO SD 2GB CARD WHITCH IS ENOUGH IF YOUR A NORMAL PERSON. IT HAS A BRILLIANT SOUND RECORDER WHICH RECORDS IN WAV FORMAT, NOW THAT'S BRILLIANT. The SPEAKERS ARE VERY LOUD INDEED & VERY HIGH QUALITY. Internet IS VERY FAST & YOU HAVE EMAIL. The PHONE CONTAINS APPLICATIONS SUCH AS SKYPE WHICH IS FREE TO CALL IF YOU'RE ON THREE, eBay FOR SHOPPING & SELLING, Google MAIL, Google MAPS, Google SEARCH, MOBILE MAIL, YAHOO, YAHOO MESSENGER, YAHOO GO, WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER WHICH IS ASWELL FREE TO USE IF YOU'RE ON THREE & FINALLY SLINGBOX, NOW THIS IS A VERY USEFUL & EXCTING APPLICATION WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO WATCH WHATEVER YOU ARE WATCHING ON YOUR PC BUT YOU NEED TO CONNECT A USB CABLE FOR THAT, & the REALLY GOOD THING IS THAT YOU CAN RECORD THOSE CLIPS WITH QUALITY. IT HAS AN OPERATING SYSTEM V3.70. THIS PHONE'S FEATURES ARE FM RADIO, JAVA, LOUDSPEAKER WHEN MAKING OR RECEIVING CALLS, VIDEO CALLS WITH IT'S SECOND VGA CAMERA WHICH IS AT the FRONT, WAP BROWSER (JUST A POSH NAME FOR Internet), & the MUSIC PLAYER.

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE PHONE, I THINK IT'S the BEST VALUE FOR MONEY & IT'S JUST AN EXITING & NICE PHONE TO HAVE.

TO SUM UP I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS PHONE!

Well I have the Nokia 6120 classic I think its one of the best phone you could ever have with high speed usability, the camera is fantastic, well actually I bought this phone in Italy for 190 Euro, so I was thinking if a phone was that expensive it must be a good one. I have had this phone for a year now & nothing has gone wrong with it, the memory might be small but you could always buy a 2GB memory card trust me its worth it.

I just have to say its the phone for me.

I have owned this phone for nearly a year now & I think it's awesome!

At first I didn't know that it was a Symbian phone & when I'd bought it I checked reviews & thought that I had made a mistake by getting this phone but its turned out to be an absolute joy! The phone is handsome looking, rough & tough & the battery life is great too. Other than that, the camera is excellent, the music player has more audio settings than most music phones, the audio quality is way better than a 5310 XM or N73 me (I tested these). The web browser is great as well & because its S60, you can stuff it with applications.

A word as to the calling, the phone DOES NOT GET HOT while calling! Whoever says this has not used the phone properly or has some 3G network problem or something. The build quality is great & despite months of extreme usage this phone has no creaks or falling buttons. The phone is very fast as well & responds immediately to keystrokes unlike most people have suggested.

This is the worst phone ever invented. It was OK for about the first month I had it, however after this it started to fall apart, the back of the phone falls off when I even touch it, so it is now taped together. The central button has come off which makes the phone very difficult to use.

When calling people half the time I cannot hear the person & they can't hear me. Also it has started to hang up on people for no reason, which is very frustrating. Texts don't always get through & can take up to 5 hours to get a text, this is not a signal problem as I was able to call people, but their texts were not getting through.

I got this phone as it was a Nokia & my mum has had her Nokia for 6 years so I thought that it was a good make, clearly I was wrong. I will never buy another Nokia it is complete rubbish.

Extremely poor experience with this phone. I received it free on an 18 month contract from T Mobile who have kindly replaced the handset 4 times. The first handset worked for less than a month until the speaker broke & was rendered mute.

The second phone froze the first time I switched it on & would repeatedly reset itself mid phone call or even just picking it up to check a text message. The phone was sent back to T-mobile who updated the software. This one crashed when they turned it on in the shop to put my SIM card back in.

I received a second hand 6120 in replacement which I complained about & promptly I received another one. Unfortunately considering purchasing another phone due to continuing erratic behaviour.

Over the last few weeks the phone has taken to adding email inboxes every time I check a message. I have over 200 now which has slowed the phone down immensely. Finding a way through the menus is irritating (they cannot be configured with the Nokia software) & each one takes just under 4 minutes to remove. The phone now just refuses to show my mailbox when I receive a message.

T mobile have always been helpful but I expect a service that works & it just doesn't.

I have had this phone for 15 months on an 18 month contract with 3. I have been with 3 for several years & to be honest I have never been very impressed with their 3G phones.

I intended to end my previous contract with 3 as I was not satisfied with their phones or customer service. Being able to understand them would help greatly. I was foolishly convinced in store to give 3 another chance as the salesman claimed the Nokia 6120 classic was a great phone. My first impressions were good but it didn't take long for the cracks to show. It gets very hot very quickly.

Battery life was acceptable but soon deteriorated quickly & now I am lucky if it lasts 1 day. I am often unable to hear the person on the other end of the call & have to switch my phone off & back on to correct the problem. It becomes a bigger problem when calling another 3 user on the same model phone as neither person knows who has to switch their phone off & so the norm is for both of you to do it. Just the other day it took in the region of 10 minutes to resolve this exact problem when I called my wife who also has a 6120 classic with both of us switching our phones on & off until eventually we could hear each other. What a circus!

I have had 3 of these phone & these problems have applied to all of them. It is an easy to use phone with a clear screen & has survived several impacts which maybe it shouldn't have but I am convinced that once 3 get their hands on a phone they spoil them. I will never have a phone from 3 again. Hope this helps.

It's a great phone, I've had it for 9 months & it didn't give me any problems. The screen resolution is great & sound quality is good as well. Easy to use, it's a Symbian so you can get some cool software on it. The only downturn is the camera, images get pixelated. Otherwise really good phone & cheap,

I've had the phone 15 months & after initially being very pleased, had a number of issues. The chrome effect has started to peel off in a few places. There are times when I have been unable to hear the person I am calling & had to switch the phone off & back on. Battery life is not good, but I learnt that it does improve if you shut down applications. Those suffering terrible battery life may find that it helps if you press the launcher button & go into any app that has the indicator above, reopening it & exiting using the button will retain the battery. I also found that it did get on the warm side when on a call. My other complaint is that the flash for the camera is useless. It takes better photos without it. The features are very good although I could find little use for the office applications. The screen quality is very high resolution.

Overall it was OK, but I am happy I am now due an upgrade.

I am half & half with this phone. I've had mine for 18 months now with three. (YES my contracts up thank goodness I absolutely hate 3. BAD customer service, Can never help with a problem. I can't understand them half the time either. Terrible price plans.

When I first got it I really enjoyed it. But after time it started to fall apart!

- the reasons for the design rank being 50% for me is, the back came off first, Then the front cracked, my keys cracked & I've had cellotape wrapped round it for about half a year now! I've had quite a few technical problems with it also. Had it sent back to be repaired a few times although once was when I dropped it on the floor & it kept turning itself off but that was to my fault.

- the keys always manage to type something different to what I am trying to do. & it's so annoying when you go to click a button & it clicks 3 at once instead of 1 with your Internet popping up & going into another menu too. Because when you press one key it always manages to think your pressing more.

- Calling can be terrible. The phone gets hot after a short period of time & makes your ear itch (ha ha) & it feels so uncomfortable! & as I've read from a few reviews on here, the calls always cut out & the caller cannot hear you & you have to end up turning it off then back on which is so time consuming!

- the phone tends to freeze from time to time.

- the sound quality when I bought it was quite good/fairly loud. But after about 3 months it deteriorated & got quieter & quieter! I am not sure why. Maybe it's because I play music on it so much but that shouldn't mean the audio quality should get poorer & poorer.

- I find it so annoying when I am listening to a song on it & it all of a sudden stops! & then I put it back on. Put my phone down on the side. Then half way through it just stops again! Sometimes searching for a song on it can be a little annoying but that's probably because I have so many songs on it! My memory on it is all used up.

ALTHOUGH, the phone is quite a nice little thing, It's compact, lightweight & it looks quite pretty (only stays pretty for a while though, until it starts to fall apart on you! )

The memory on it is quite large, especially the inbox although I would like to save more messages in the sent box which only holds 20 at a time.

There are quite a lot of different gadgets on there. There aren't loads, but this phone wasn't designed for the gadgets. That is what the N-Series of Nokia's is what your looking for.

If I had the chance to go back & choose a different phone I would. I chose it out of impulse because it looked nice. But looks deceive! I am now moving on to the Nokia N96. GADGET PHONE! We'll see how that goes.

If you've read, thanks for reading. I do not recommend you buy a Nokia 6120 Classic.

This phone was touted by Telstra as the greatest thing since sliced bread when a new phone was in the offing. When it was turned on the screen was very confusing until I made it do in list form (after being frustrated with where to go to do this). To find anything on this phone is nigh on impossible unless you have a very good memory of where to navigate. I do not like the screen where you can only get into contacts one way. The buttons are hard to press & small.

Overall I would not go for this type of phone again. Bigger screens & qwerty keyboards are better.

I have had this phone for 16 months & been nothing but disappointed.

Bad.
- Shocking battery life (about a day).
- Speaker crackles & heats up & burns my ear.
- the text vibrate has stopped working & texts just go straight into the inbox without telling me.
- Camera is poor & images have a green tint.
- Charger doesn't fit & has to be carefully placed so it will charge.
- Scratches too easily.
- Takes a few attempts to get a connection for calls & sometimes I never get one so have to reboot it.
- Texts don't come through for hours.
- Can't take camera flash noise off.

Good.
- Massive inbox space.
- Symbian phone.
- Indestructible (it fell 50 ft off a fair ride onto concrete & still works. Unfortunately).
- Easy to navigate.
- Easy access camera button (it fell off though).
- Card slot

Basically just don't buy this phone you are guaranteed to be disappointed, bring on the C905.

An atrocious phone, the worst performer I've ever had, bar none. TERRIBLE battery life. The most annoying of all however is the connectivity issue. You can hear the incoming callers voice, but they can't hear you. It is a well known fault on this phone but Nokia does not recognise it as such. There is no upgrade or download to sort this out. In order to solve this, you have to switch off then on again! VERY slow to react when certain functions are requested. Nice looking that's about it! Stay well clear.

Although this phone has functioned averagely I would not recommend it because.

- The phone heats up when used for more than 1 minute to the point where it is uncomfortable to hold against your ear.

- The keys have a tendency to fall off (I have been without an 8 key for some time now as I have no idea where it went.

- The audio for ringing, alarm, videos etc works as & when it feels like it.

- The phone itself scratches & marks really easily.

- Choosing a contact to text to is the most awkward way they could have thought & takes ages to get used to.

- Buttons very small & close together so therefore you may end up logging onto the Internet when you want to just go to your options menu.

I have this phone on the 3 network. I've contacted them many times about dropped calls & loss of audio on this phone. They say they have no knowledge of audio loss being a problem with this model. Interesting considering the amount of three customers reporting the same problem on this site.

This could be a really excellent phone but I miss so many calls by either it not ringing or not being able to hear the caller when I answer. It does not function as a reliable phone.

In my opinion Three have good deals but terrible customer service. I can't recommend the phone or the provider.

I've had the 6120 for fifteen months. A farcical upgrade this week (I won't bore you) has proved it's much better at signal acquisition than the more recent 6600 slide. It's relatively easy to use, though it can be frustratingly slow to respond to key strokes.

On the down side the camera's not great. But its most serious fault has been its habit of rebooting itself. More than once a week it'll switch itself off & back on again but forget to include things like sound. It means I've regularly missed calls as there's been no ring. When this happens outgoing calls can be made but neither caller nor recipient can hear each other. A worrying feature, unless reliability's low on your priority list. For this reason I can't give it more than 30% for usability.

Fantastic little Smartphone. I was expecting it to be slow & a pain to do things that a phone should do, you know, like texting & making phone calls, but it behaves just like a regular phone. Then you add on all the features that you expect from a Smartphone & it's size (it's tiny! ) & this is the perfect phone for me.

People don't believe me when I say that I can do pretty much everything you can do on a PC, on the 6120. But it's so small! They say.

A few caveats, it is very small so if you have large fingers the keypad might be a problem, & the case does fingerprint easily (you'll be wiping it after every use) & less mention of the camera the better.

However even today it still holds its own against the touch screens, because it's just so tiny!

The phone is nice & well designed. The screen is fantastic & very sharp. The camera is also quite good. The Nokia PC suit works fine with my Vista HP Laptop. There are a couple of things I mind, however: the buttons are quite small & I usually strike 2 at the same time & the battery life which is really poor. The phone does get hot after some talking time, but is not an iron what you get close to your ears. I've had the phone for approximately 2 weeks, so let's see what happens as time passes by.

Bought this phone because of the features (high speed web, email, etc) although now I've got it I hardly use any of them.

The good.
- It is small, neat, all the features work well. The Symbian operating system means you can load third party applications, & you can spend hours playing with the OS, etc, if that's your thing.
- the Voice dial feature is AMAZING, with a Bluetooth headset, you simply say the name & it finds dials the contact. You don't have to record or store a voice, it recognises the name that was typed when you created the contact, simply excellent.

The bad.
- It DOES get warm when making calls, not burning hot, but noticeably warm, I've heard that this is due to the 3G circuitry, may not be so bad if not on the UK Three network.
- the battery life is poor. Again, I think this is partly due to the three 3G network. If used for actually talking (well it IS a phone! ) then you will be lucky to get a day out of it.
- I also dislike some of the day to day features, replying to texts is awkward, & it seems to take lots of key presses to choose contacts when sending texts. Other makes I've used are just slicker, easier & faster to use for these normal tasks.

Summary.
I've mixed feelings about this phone, I LOVE the nature of the S60 system (CALCIUM calculator is superb), & I LOVE the voice dialling with Bluetooth headset, awesome for in car calls. I HATE the poor battery life, & get frustrated by the warm screen when making calls, & the poorly designed texting.

Overall I'd recommend the phone (just) but be aware of its shortcomings.

NB perhaps the new 6220 with 5MP camera might address some of the issues.

I do love the features of my Nokia 6120 but after just 5 months of daily use the paint is starting to come off the centre button & the other buttons all appear a bit loose & clicky.

Also, the phone does get mega hot when in use, if you are on the phone for longer than 2 minutes you have to change to loudspeaker unless you want cooked ears, surely that's not good. The casing smells of hot plastic after a call of over 5 minutes, so this is something Nokia need to look into.

Other than these two issues, the phone is good, but I don't think I would recommend it.

I am on my third 6120 since December, the sound went on the first, the second kept switching off & now the battery on this one refuses to charge & it also switches off regularly. It's had the software updated twice by T mobile with no benefits seen. It is almost impossible to connect to the Nokia PC suit so if you're after synchronisation or backup, tough. The connection problems are a common issue & I can't see anyone has a solution. I was told it was a fault USB cable, since it is about the most common cable & I have 6 behind me in a draw I can safely say this is not the case. The features are very good, the interface tidy & the looks & screen are in my opinion also very good. I like the inclusion of office tools (handy for reading client briefs on the train) & customisation of the interface. It is a shame that this feature packed, sleek looking phone has been put together using spit & the software assembled by someone who couldn't care less.

A very good little phone that does everything you could ask of it. Easy to use, excellent value for money, & has many features more common to its big brothers of the N-Series. The only thing missing is Wi-Fi but that doesn't really matter if you use 3G & have an unlimited Internet access plan from your service provider. The design is not very outgoing but not bad for you want it to do. I've had this phone for nearly a year now & am very satisfied with it. The only problem I've had with it is that dust gets under the screen very easily & I had to get the front cover off with a pen knife to clean the screen underneath. Other than that it has been an excellent & reliable phone that I would recommend to anyone. I got this phone after I had a Nokia N80 which was absolute rubbish, & by far the worst phone I have ever owned. I really feel the difference between the two & the 6120 is miles better. If anyone wants this phone, don't hesitate in buying it.

To all you people out there that buy a phone for a cheap camera, FFS GET A CAMERA. There are heaps of cheap 8MP cameras out there to be owned.

Now the phone, I bought an ASUS V1210 which was total rubbish, 3 out of 5 months in for repairs. Thank god that Vodafone eventually offered to replace it with the option of paying the extra for the 6120C. Since buying mine, 6 other friends have followed suit & love the 6120C. I have found the Symbian OS is excellent & easy to work with, & plenty of applications to add into the phone. Maybe Microsoft can learn something here.

Considering that I own a PDA, a multimedia player, a notebook PC, the 6120 is handy to have as an assistant to all these products. It is small & light, perfect fit for the pocket compared to the N95 that my brother bought to out do me. The only thing that I can fault is the battery life, but when you look at 3G technology phones in general, none of them have exceptional battery life without being a brick. Yes I have notice the screen does get hot during a lengthy call, but either I have I have gotten used to it now or the phone has settled & this is no longer a problem.

For those who want a phone to be a media centre or a game station etc, stay well away. This phone works extremely well the way it was designed as not being a toy. Just a shame that Nokia & the Australian telco's have not marketed this phone in the way it should have.

Got this on the 3 network phone (free on contract) 2 weeks ago with new contract but used the SIM from previous phone. No problems so far apart from phone getting hot after 5 minutes of talking, & the talk time battery life, it's not bad in standby mode though. It came with pre installed with Skype, MSN messenger which seem to work OK. If you sign in to Skype & leave running in the background (as if to wait for a Skype call) it may cane the battery because it refreshes every 10 seconds or so. Also comes with QuickOffice & Adobe PDF reader & the usual Nokia stuff. PDF's can be time consuming to read as you have to zoom & keep scrolling, which can be a bit slow if you're looking at a train timetable looking for a specific time. I assume it's the same with Quickword, Quicksheet & Quickpoint. The 3G HSDPA Technology for browsing is very fast if you have a 3.5g signal. Buttons can be fiddly for those with larger hands. All in all, I have not had the problems that others here have had & I am happy with it.

This is my sad story with the Nokia 6120c. First of all let me explain that I am not a Symbian newcomer, 6120c has been my third Symbian s60, so I am pretty familiar with such toys. I bought my 6120 classic for Christmas, because the feature set & the weight seemed impressive for the price point (around 250 euro). My first impression was that although the mobile was fast & nice, the build quality was worse than my previous S60s (N70 & n gage). This was especially evident in some plastic pieces, the battery cover was like 1mm loose in all directions & the plastic cover for the loudspeaker was a little weak also. But anyway I was pretty satisfied of my purchase.

After a couple of days the phone started to have random problems with the sound. The mobile vibrated but no sound appear from the loudspeaker neither from the earpiece. The phone was not even able to reproduce sounds even in the music player or in the modes screen. The only way to recover it was to turn on & off the phone & no! The phone was not in silent mode :) After searching on Google I was able to find that it was not an isolated case, the net is full of such reports. This is such annoying failure because you lose calls as you can't hear the caller, you need to reboot the phone & call later.

After 4 or 5 incidents in two weeks I started look for a new firmware after noticing that there was no new firmware in NSU. The only thing that I was able to find was that there was a new version 4.21 that appeared on early December but was pulled in a hurry from the NSU servers after 3 or 4 days (I am myself a firmware engineer & I know what this means).

Last Monday January 7th tired of problems I returned to the shop & after explaining the story, the shop manager gave me a new one. The funny thing was that he asked me if my SIM card was old. He claimed that the phone had problems with old SIM cards. After googling a little I was able to find some references to that in Italian forums.

The new phone had also problems with plastic pieces, again the loose battery cover & now the memory card door was loose & produced a rattling noise on vibration. Again I could accept that, I wanted the mobile. After a week the phone has done the same than the previous one several times, today 3 times! Again I have checked for new firmware but the only thing that I have found is that Nokia has even pulled the support of 6120c from NSU. Hey these guys are having a real problem.

Not knowing what to do I have decided to give Nokia a last chance & call the care line in Spain to contact an operator & ask if the issue was known & Nokia was doing something? the guy seemed to know nothing, & was absolutely uninterested, the only answer was go to the care point & install new firmware. On my question of if there was a new firmware he answered that he did not know. He was unable to log a case to any escalation team, he said to me to send an email through the web. Tomorrow I am back to the shop to have a refund. I do not want another unit. I am totally disappointed. Nokia you have lost a good customer, a fan.

For your info, both mobiles were 6120c 1 rm 243 Firmware 3.83 B1.04, the SIM is a brand new one from the Spanish operator Yoigo & I am using a SanDisk SD micro of 2GB. This is my sad story with the Nokia 6120c.

Don't buy it! Nokia have a serious problem with this phone. I have had mine 4 months & of course use it daily. The silver plastic is peeling off & the buttons are already getting tatty. The REAL problem is that it continually looses all audio (sound) at random intervals. It means you don't hear it ringing, & if you do answer you can't hear the caller. The only way to fix it is to power it off & on again. There is no soft or firmware upgrades to try. I have been a long time fan of Nokia phones but this one is a real lemon!

I have had this phone for the better part of a year on a 3 contract, & all I have to say is brilliant, it looks nice, does everything you need it to, & I can honestly say that when people say it's the smallest Smartphone around, they are not lying! Compared to an N73 its tiny LOL, besides the minor drawback of the insert SIM thing coming up every morning its great (by the way, if you use alarms & the insert SIM message comes up stopping your alarm from going off then just switch your phone to offline mode on the profiles menu, problem solved! )

Having bought this phone, I have begun hating the much hyped N-Series & the rest. I mean, look at this marvel. This plastic piece is just awesome. It's got all the features this whole connectivity world can provide & plus. It fits into your jeans pockets. I have nothing more to write than all you people have written NICE of this phone. Display's great & the 2MP camera works just fine, unless you are some award winning photographer. Right now, I am hearing music from the phone, from the loudspeaker & let me tell you, this can well match with any of the Sony Walkman phones available in the market today. The only complaint I have got is that the back of the phone is highly susceptible to scratch. I have been taking care of this phone like a baby & I can't help but worry over the scratches it's got on the back.

Nokia 6120 CLASSIC HAS A RUBBISH CAMERA. I've been using this phone for a couple of weeks. This is my last Nokia.

- the 2 megapixel camera is unbelievably poor & completely useless. It doesn't give the right colours. There are always greenish tinges in the pictures.
- Camera somehow works only in sunlight. There's no focus either. You can hardly use this camera.
- Sound quality isn't good.
- the battery life is poor.

These are expected, as Nokia makes rubbish phone this days. They're fully intended to style rather than quality of the phone. Don't buy Nokia. I think Sony Ericsson is 10 times better than Nokia.

Apart from usual Nokia features.

Handset becomes too hot after talking for about 5 minutes & you can't really continue talking.

Funny problem is, try switching to silent mode (by pressing #) from profile other then General & press # again, you will be in General mode!?

You wouldn't be able to listen to caller sometimes, the only way to fix is by switching it off & back on again.

In nutshell, not happy with this little, smart, sleek phone.

This is a beautiful phone. Considering it only cost £100 on pay as you talk, it really is the best value phone out on the market today. I've had mine since it first came out in August & have no complaints.

Some reviews on here complain about Insert Sim or Sim Registration Failed or something similar to this. THIS IS NOT A PHOBLEM WITH the PHONE. I always got this message when the phone was left on charge or the phone got cold. This problem seems to lie with the 3 network. I asked for a replacement Sim, it came in the post & hey presto, no more insert Sim messages. It has been a week now & since the new sim arrived, not one of these messages.

Symbian S60v3. Wow, on a phone this cheap takes some beating. Apart from Sat Nav, WLAN & a 5MP camera, the 6120 Classic is a power packed N95 in a smaller size, I should know as I have a N95 as well. I rated 90% for Design because the menu & cancel buttons are a little small & someone with big hangs might find it awkward, apart from that, a superb phone with the power of Symbian. This phone can have what any other phone has, & more. Having used both the 6120 & the N95, the 6120 is noticeable quicker which to me indicates & more powerful processor to what the N95 & N73 have. It's a slick, quick & reliable phone which never crashes like the N95 sometimes do.

The Internet connection of 3.5G is superfast for a phone, download what you want in seconds & browse the Internet with no problems at all, at least not with the 3 network. £5 per month for as much Internet as you like.

PC connection couldn't be simpler thanks to Nokia PC Suite & a mini USB connection in the phone. Once you connect the phone with the cable, you have three options, PC Suite, Mass Media or Media Player. It really couldn't be easier to use to transfer pictures, videos, to syncronise with your PC or even browse the Internet using your phones Internet connection through your laptop or PC.

My wife has now took over my 6120 Classic & left me with the N95. I am getting a divorce LOL.

I strongly recommend buying this phone.

Two months in on the second one & this one has broken too now. Full aerial signal but won't connect to the network at all (SIM is fine in another phone). I received it FREE on upgrade so can't complain about the price:). OK here goes. My friends one (black version) always gets hot & drops calls, my one (white version) just gets hot slightly when on a long call.

The battery could be more powerful (its only 890mAh) BUT at least it lasts longer than the N95. I like the features & the small size (if only all the N82 features were packed into this size phone) & yes it would've been nice to have a better camera at least 3.2MP BUT the 2MP is fine for my needs.

I prefer the 6120 classic more than my previous N73 because the N73 has a fiddly joystick, which was always loose & broke on several occasions too. The 6120 has a much louder earpiece volume too, better than N73 which is a really useful.

I have got a 2GB microSD in it with plenty of applications on & so far so good. I just hope the on & off button doesn't break like the 6230's did.

Part II of my review, the website, perfect in most of the wap sites. It's called Mini Map, & it is the new standard S60 browser. Where Mini Map doesn't arrive, you can always use Opera Mini beta 4.

The embedded flash player works wonderfully, & it should also be integrated within the standard browser, although I couldn't find any site working with it. You can use flash Lite content as screensaver, by the way.

N-Series themes are made with SVG open source vector graphic standards, & therefore they are very shiny & always good looking. Check out the new menu views, & the icons moving very smoothly.

As a lot of people have said, the handset gets really hot after about a few minutes use & after about ten minutes use, it's got to be put down & allowed to cool before it can be used again. A lot of people I know are having the same problem but my network provider won't do anything about so maybe Nokia should.

It's going into the store today for another repair & if it doesn't work this time then it's going straight back to Nokia. Also, the Bluetooth has never worked which renders it totally useless for passing on & receiving pictures or music.

Don't buy this phone. I am stuck with it for 11 more months on my contract & I've already bought a replacement Nokia handset, one that doesn't burn your ears off. So, Nokia win all round (if only Sony Ericsson made a better operating system).

Hello, I bought the unbranded phone for 190 EUR last week. It has simply wonderful software features, a 369 Mhz ARM processor, a 240x320 hi-res screen, HSDPA (3.5G) capabilities & much more packed in a casing very smaller than my previous phone, the N70.

Everything is slick on the phone, it's very fast especially when using internal memory for the basic applications (I.e. SMS). Messaging is very powerful, despite the hard-to-press keys, especially after installing the Conversation software from Nokia Beta Labs.

I don't like the audio playing so much, but by this time I've tried only the bundled headphones, with 2.5mm jack, & I hope to find better ones soon. Nokia HS-44 Headphones, if they also work with external keys to control music, may be a good deal with this phone. I have been pleased, though, to see that it has got audio FX such as Reverb, Stereo Expanding, Bass Boost & Equalizers presets editable.

I agree with the guys talking about the bad quality of the main 2MPX camera, which impressed me for how bad it is. (I recommend you, guys, to play with the night mode & the white balance to get better results). Instead, the panorama mode is very funny to use & it achieves very neat results. The video quality, at 320x240 & 30fps, is very good & the videos are smooth & not so grainy. The picture editor that comes with the phone is similar to the N70's, but the video editor has been improved & now allows you to use also MP3's as background music for your videos!

The battery life is average, just what I expected from a Nokia Phone with all these features. With the right tricks, such as turning Bluetooth & 3G off, setting the energy-saving mode with a short delay & so on, you can carry on a single battery load a quite long time.

Ah, by the way, did I tell you that you can switch between 3G on & off without restarting the phone? It was very annoying on my previous N70, having to restart the phone when I needed 3G connectivity.

Part II coming soon From Luigi.

My first Nokia phone in two years & after a 48 hrs I have gone back to using my K880i. The phone's interface is nice, the Symbian software seems reliable & it's light & sleek. The music player is basic, but works well. The Internet works quite well too with a nice page scrolling feature.

However I can concur with other reviews that the phone does indeed nuke your ears after about 4 minutes use & I mean it gets unbearably hot, unpleasant! The audio quality is poor, the voice dial feature is virtually useless, the battery life is poor. The Bluetooth audio is inconsistent when connected to my car kit & finally the camera quality is sub standard. It would seem Nokia is making quite a name for itself as a producer of rubbish & this phone meets those standards. You seriously can't use this phone on a daily basis without it getting on your nerves. All this has relegated the phone to the draw. I could not recommend this phone to anyone other than a student as it makes quite a nice MP3 player & it can microwave your pot noodle!

Best value for money phone ever! At USD255, 6120 has great combination of features in a good size body that would normally cost over 50% higher. However, display screen could have been slightly bigger at 2.2' or even 2.4' maximum & then it would have been absolutely perfect!

6120 has long list of useful & power features like Quad band, 3.5G, dual camera, Symbian 9.2 Smartphone OS, fast 369MHz cpu, multiprocessing, FM stereo radio, Bluetooth 2.0, full colour QVGA display, good multimedia player, QuickOffice & PDF file viewers, Nokia Map, Nokia PC Suite, included mini-USB cable & can take micro-SD up to 4GB now! Battery life is over two days with active use in GSM mode, good enough for weekend trips. Nokia Map 2D & 3D can be paired with an optional Bluetooth GPS receiver for full but tiny navigation! BT GPS receivers are now available for below USD50.

In my opinion, Nokia keep this model low profile so that its other higher priced but advertised models would not suffer some sales decline to 6120.

A real shame as the phone itself is great, it's super stylish & a joy to use. Pity the case is easily marked by fingerprints & needs constant cleaning to look its best.

The only other hassle I had was transferring my contacts from my N70. Paired OK with the 6120 via Bluetooth but the N70 refused to run the transfer packet sent from the 6120. It gave an error of something like 'license has expired or time incorrectly set'. Come on Nokia - please get the basics right!

I've just acquired this phone as an upgrade from three as a replacement for the Nokia 6280. I was extremely impressed with the Internet performance & the rapidity with which I familiarised myself with the enhanced features & the menu system. I found it quite intuitive.

I can only note that I find the speaker tonal quality a bit less than that of the 6280 & noticed that the top of the phone body gets warm when making a 4 minute plus call (without the phone casing pressing on my ear). I removed the back casing following a longish call & found that the warmth is apparently not generated by the battery pack.

The hard copy manual supplied with the phone is written for people who are familiar with the modern mobile phone technology & I was very aware that a novice would be somewhat baffled by the content & jargon.

Overall the phone is very well balanced & tactile. To the Nokia familiar, like myself, a joy to own & use.

The best phone I've owned so far. It's a smart phone that looks like it's a normal small & stylish phone yet provides easy-to-use advanced functionality. I got this phone because I lost my Sony Ericsson P990i & really, no regret.

I receive push email (3 mobile mail) have installed Google earth, the standby screen shows my upcoming appointments & reminders, the clock alarm works even when the phone has shutdown on low battery (saved the day that one), I sometimes watch ITV news bulletins & just realised that there were a few youtube clips to watch. Web browsing is a lot better than I expected, with very clear fonts, bright screen (readable in the sun) well thought out rotate (the buttons layout follow the screen layout) & when you go back the browsing history, the browser shows previews of the pages you are going back to.

The camera is good in both photo & video modes & will suppress these 'I wish I had a camera' moment, without replacing an Ixus though. Call quality is very good, battery life OK (beware of push email though), in short I love it.

This phone is truly a marvel. With a main processor quicker than the N95 & N73, slim & sleek style, Internet faster than a lot of home Internet connections & the same Symbian v3 operating system as the N95 & N73. OK, the N95 comes with a 5MP camera where as the 6120 Classic comes with a 2MP camera & no Sat Nav on the 6120, but with the old 35mm cameras being the equivalent to 2.2MP, who cares.

Unless you are David Bailey, the camera is more than adequate. The 6120 Classic has downloadable maps with all the bells & whistles of the N95 but in a smaller package. The 6120 Classic is truly a mini PC in your pocket. Add to the fact it is currently the smallest Smart Phone in the world at an affordable price, I would recommend it above any other.

The only set back this phone has is when installing themes. Sometimes it comes up saying 'certificate expired', but after changing the date back one year, installing the theme & changing the date back, it is a slight annoyance Nokia should look into as I believe other Nokia phones have the same problem. All in all, I wouldn't swap my 6120 Classic for any other phone currently on the market today.

Can't company's test the software themselves it doesn't say beta version on the phone software therefore I don't want to be a beta tester! , will try another replacement phone tomorrow seeing as the is no software update for the audio problem, PS I am not the only one with this problem!

Just got this phone on the £15 a month 3 tariff & it's excellent. It looks great, is very slim & compact & it has a wealth of features for its size & cost.

I am a texter & the keys are quite small & close together - which could be a problem after a few drinks :-) I also noticed that on 'vibrate only' mode - the phone vibrates once, so you might miss a text in your pocket.

The quality of downloaded video footage is a bit grainy sometimes, & sound through the speaker is a bit tinny. The quality of still images is very good & the flash is excellent.

Comment below about not having a lens cover. If you hold the phone to text then naturally your index finger rests on the lens - this does make it dirty but easily wiped clean, & to be honest it makes texting easier as the phone is very slim to get a grip on.

One additional comment - the back cover is VERY hard to remove. You really feel that you're going to snap it which is a worry. Maybe it eases over time.

Found that the camera was not giving the right colours had more of a greenish tings. Works well in natural light. I have not got the way around to work the radio till now.

Overall a very good phone, Nokia phones are sturdy so I am expecting the same from this model.

I like it being small but in some ways it is too small - for my fingers & my eyes - but that's part of being in my 50's I guess.

Main problems:

- I can only use the built-in, auto generated, voice tags. The online manual says I can create my own but the menu entries are not there.
- Bluetooth handset (weirdness), erratic BT auto connection, intermittent ability to answer calls, occasional non-playing of prompt for voice call (although even without the prompt it usually seems to work).

My 6255 did all of these things exactly right. I am told that menus in NextG phones are mandated to be similar across all makes so the changed menu structures may be where some of the problems come from. I eagerly await a firmware update.

I just received this phone this morning & I absolutely love it. It's lovely to look at, really small & thin & light.

I have had a slide phone for almost 2 years (Nokia 6280 & 6288) so when I go to use this I keep trying to push up the keypad with my thumb LOL but I am sure that won't last long.

This is also the first time I have used S60 as opposed to series 40. Seems good though & there are loads of extras on it.

The only difference I have noticed up to now is, when texting (as I do quite regular) the option to add recently used recipients is not there, which I used to use a lot on the 6288. You can either insert the number or choose contact. Apart from that, still lovely to text on.

Not got music on it yet because waiting for memory card I have ordered to be delivered so can't comment on the sound but the radio is good.

Anyway, overall I think this phone is brilliant & looks the business too.

Thanks for reading, Tracey.

If you want a compact, lightweight, inexpensive Smartphone & you don't expect your phone to be a replacement for a real camera, this is the phone for you.

The only Smartphone of similar size & weight is the Pearl 8100, but the Blackberry is no match for the 6120 Classic in terms of features & connectivity.

The talk time according to Nokia's specs is a rather disappointing 180 min, but in real life the battery lasts quite a bit longer & you can't beat Symbian S60. This phone is equipped with the best smart phone OS currently available.

There are a few shortcomings, though:

- Can't charge battery through the miniUSB port
- No cover for the camera, so the lens gets dirty real quick
- No Wi-Fi

I love the design of the phone. In this department I am a FAN. I actually bought it because I wanted a bog-standard Nokia like the old days. I loved my 3210 in the early days of mobile phones. The size & weight was a big factor in me getting it too, great stuff.

The camera is 2 mega-pixels which are not enough for some but I am not too fussed as I am not a big photo's man on my phone. It has Radio which is useful for me when I am commuting to work over the summer & will be useful at Uni as well. Video stuff is pretty much like camera, I don't use it much as I am not that bothered, just the occasional drunken recording at the moment!

Some will feel the buttons are too small & I DO sometimes stumble upon the wrong key. But to be fair, to some extent this is mainly because I am re-adjusting to predictive text on a Nokia after using a Samsung for the last couple of years!

I would buy. But of course I would. I already have.

The 6120 Classic is significantly faster in operation (opening menus etc) than all of the others. I've been very impressed. Regarding battery life, it seems on a par with other new handsets.
