Nokia 6086 Review

The Nokia 6086 is a compact mobile handset which provides the user with the latest WLAN & EDGE technology. The 6086 comes with a fold open mechanism which provides the user with quick & easy access to their phone features. The handset looks stylish in design & comes in a silver with black coloured casing. The handset has an external & internal display which allows the user to view information when their phone is in its open or closed position. The external screen is useful for viewing information regarding who is calling when the phone is in its closed position & provides the user with a black & white 1 Inch external display. The internal screen provides a bright 262k colours for the user to enjoy on a large 1.8 inch screen. The Nokia 6086 comes with an internal keypad complete with soft keys & a navigation tool. The handset comes with dedicated camera & volume keys which are situated for ease of use.

The phone comes with built in memory which allows the user to store up to 5 Mbytes of information & the user can expand the phones memory up to 2 Gbytes with a swappable MicroSD™ card. The 6086 measures 92 x 46 x 23 mm which provides a quality & compact handset for the user to carry with them where ever they go. The handset weighs only 84 grams which provides a lightweight mobile phone with high quality built in features.

The user can keep themself entertained with the built in music features which include a digital music player & FM radio feature. The user can download all their favourite music onto their mobile phone & enjoy a fun filled music experience when they are on the move. The Nokia 6086 provides seamless multi network use with unlicensed mobile access over WLAN. The phone comes with EDGE technology which provides a high speed data transfer for the user to enjoy. The phone comes with a XHTML Internet browser which allows the user to view Internet site on their mobile phone. The Nokia 6086 works over a quad band network which will automatically switch between bands & provide the user with worldwide coverage depending on the network service provider.

The user can create a personal look & feel to their phone by changing the wallpaper & screensavers to suit their style. The phone supports animated wallpapers which provide a fun & effective wallpaper for the user to enjoy. There is good Nokia quality here. I find this to be a very nice phone. The reception is very good, both in remote rural areas & in buildings. The sound quality is excellent, both spoken & heard. The screen is bright, colours good, & images sharp. The functionality is first class - it is very user friendly. I have not used the MP3 player or FM stereo. The pictures are marginal, but okay for what they are (little phone pictures! ). The speaker phone works well. The phone itself is solidly built without being bulky or clunky. The battery holds a good charge, with standard use of texting & phone calls it lasts me about 4 days, standby is considerably longer. It charges quickly, in about 1.5 hours. I would certainly recommend this product.

Lovely little phone, ideal for first time users as the menus are simple & easy to use. It looks gorgeous as well, very sleek & ideally sized to fit into a pocket or a small handbag. I can't fault it.

Wanted a basic, good sound quality, quad band phone & as a bonus for me are the additional rudimentary features such as camera, video, etc that I'll probably never use. Transitions from Wi-Fi to GSM to Wi-Fi well. Tried others & bought this one as the sound quality impressed me.

Look it's just a phone to go with your calls in & out. For best pictures N95 needed absolutely. The rest works well. It's not the best, but a rather good phone. Liked it & going to use for a while.

I use to own a high-resolution with my mobile phone. There is no mobile phone with good optics.

What I wanted was a good mobile phone that can work as a phone. This thing comes through. Not only can it act as a portable music/video player it also get good radio reception, works like a charm over Wi-Fi (saving you $ & giving you perfect coverage in your home) gets FM radio. & just plain works.

It has a Micro SD port. I can just swap the card between my real player & this thing. Useful for when I really just want to take one device. But a dedicated music player is obviously always going to do its job better.

It does not have the best screen. The outside screen could have been better. But whatever. Does the job & does it well.
