This is a nice phone for a moderate price & works great so long as you use quality 3rd party apps. I am glad I bought it.

Pros.
Excellent audio quality, screen readable indoors & out, microSD up to 32GB, 600 MHz ARM processor, camera comes up as a MTD under USB connection so you don't need to install any PC software, 3.5mm headphone socket, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth A2DP, 3G, Camera can produce surprisingly nice images IFF you use 'User Defined', multi-tasking that works, Symbian 60 means many 3rd party apps are readily available, comfortable in the hand & pocket, excellent keypad, charging via USB, FM & Internet radio, nice Podcasting client.

Cons.
IMO side buttons are silly, you are inevitably going to press them by mistake, volume steps are too large at the loud end, default email app won't work, Nokia apps are second rate & buggy, battery life only about 5 hours under heavy usage, if you leave dormant apps in the background during standby the battery will be flat overnight, camera flash is useless since it forces a 1/15 sec exposure causing blur.

Conclusion.
This is a full featured keypad Smartphone, missing only GPS & orientation sensors, the hardware is generally excellent. In particular: Google's Search, Youtube & Maps apps show Nokia how it should be done, ProfiMail is a nice email client, Opera is an excellent browser, DivX & Real are good video players, MobiReader is great for eBooks, etc. When it comes to online contacts & calendar synchronisation use the 'Mail for Exchange' app & sync with your GMail account.

I was looking for a good & easy to use phone with 3G & with the Nokia 5630 got so much more. In fact I find it so good it seems Nokia gave me a present although I paid for it.

A full feature list is found above so I will just list some of the highlights for me.

It have does Wi-Fi & when connected I can do free browsing & Google calls, fantastic.

It have does 3G so I don't need a dongle.

It has no mechanical parts that can go wrong, the screen is great & the keyboard is possibly the best I have used.

It comes with free music download for 1 year, so if you often buy music you can cover the cost of the phone in no time. Almost too good to be true.

The music player is great & means I can sell my iPod.

The camera is even good too, something I have never used on a mobile phone before.

The menu is easy to navigate & everything seems very well planned & logically designed.

The battery life is fantastic for any phone, & with so many features it is even more incredible.

The size is just right & it looks good.

It has a standard 3.5mm phone socket so you can use any headphones & easily connect to a car stereo (also via Bluetooth)

It has a standard micro USB port & charges via a computer.

It comes with a very good PC software (Ovi), & for the first time ever I have now been able to synchronise effort free so my address list is now in order. I got the same phone for my wife & I can sync both phones from the same PC.

It has an excellent map function & you can download the complete maps for most countries.

The memory is 4GB standard & can be expanded to 16GB.

This is an admirable piece of engineering & I am hugely impressed. I give a standing ovation to the Nokia team that developed this phone. It also shows how the mobile phone technology now finally seems to be getting mature & more stable.

I find iPhones just a bit too big & for me the Nokia 5630 is the ultimate in usability. I now have instant access to standard phone calls, SMS MMS, email, & Google. & remember, whenever you are by a Wi-Fi point most of this access can be had for free.

In brief, you can't go wrong getting this phone.
