I agree this mobile phone is great. But I cannot video call. I somehow agree on Georgina Bates. My phone fell, & the MP3 Button broke, it's also sharp & my video camera quality is POOR. I don't know how come the quality is poor. But the camera quality is great. My phone fell again, & now, the light is off. I can't see anything, only if I go under a light. The music speaker isn't loud. This phone should have a loud sound system as it is XpressMusic.

This is the best phone that I ever had. During the past two years, I've exchanged 4 mobile phones. The phones I used fell from heights & broke. This phone also had fallen from heights but it is still the same & is well functioning. I really love this phone, don't think I'll ever change this one.

This phone is rubbish I have had 4 or else 5 replacements I have never dropped this phone when it gets a slight knock in my bag all the settings go back to the factory settings, all the buttons fall off, the easy slider for the MP3 radio button surrounding has cracked & is sharp. & the really bad thing is that Nokia & O2 have been not given me a different phone of the same spec at the end of the day I pay 35 pounds a month for my contract & I paid for the phone. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE TOTALLY & UTTERLY USELESS.

Well, if you're in to toy phones this one is for you. But, the design is awesome, & it has VERY GOOD keys. However, that's about it.

Build quality is rather poor & the slide feels very unsteady. The music player sound is not particularly good, despite it's a music phone, & I can assure you that it's a LOT better in the N82 (yes, I have one & yes, I know it´s expensive) & Nokia, why on earth do you put a 2.5 mm ear plug contact on a music phone?

Conclusion. If you're a Nokia fan & can't even think about any other phone, OK, go on & get one but I can't recommend it because it's definitely too expensive. At least if you compare it to many other music phones. E.g. Sony Ericsson w760, which has a MUCH better build quality. It's a little more expensive but you will get A LOT MORE for the bucks.

Cool looking Phone but awful to use so unreliable! Battery is rubbish, it freezes all the time, once it turned off & wouldn't come on for days, oh & did I mention it keeps freezing on me! The slider on the phone is not very robust.

Last night I went out & was in the pub pulled my phone out of my pocket, at the time it was off so I tuned it on & put it on the table it then over the next half hour or so decided to constantly turn on, off, on, off, on.

Due to last night's poor performance I thought enough is enough so today I bought a Samsung soul.

I am in two minds to put this phone on eBay but to be fair I don't think you could give it away if you tried!

From the design, it's really awesome. But when it's come to its slider, you'll find a bad experience. It's keeps breaking. & I really have no respect for Nokia Care Center who always told me they don't have any slider spare.

Secondly, it keeps freezing although I had upgrade the software. Just for the sound I give a perfect score. Another ithan that it is bad. I recommended not to buy, except you don't mind if you have a sliderless phone.

This phone is the best phone I have had in a long time.

Good points, looks great, very good camera (same as the one on the Sony cyber shot), easy to use, has a lot of features, crystal clear sound, although internal memory is not the best, you can use a micro SD card up to 4GB in it, although it looks flimsy, it's actually quite robust.

Bad points, screen is fingerprint magnet, directional button around the play & pause take a little time to get used to.

I've had the phone for about 6 months now with no issues apart from every so often the ring tone reverts back to Nokia tone.

I wish the speaker was better as I haven't always got my earphones with me.

The keys are a bit plastic & the screen scratches too easily (I am very careful not to put phone face down or anything like that).

Easy to use & great for music with headphones. Slider seems good & robust, quite a novel way to change the mode.

I love the design of the Motorola.

I would strongly recommend the Motorola but I would recommend the Nokia because of the freezing up if it wasn't for the freezing up I would definitely have kept the Nokia for a while longer.

This phone has been delivering everything it promised, except initially it gave few problems of freezing & corrupt software. Besides these few glitches, this device has been working like magic for me. It's a beauty, very solid & expressive. I am impressed with Nokia 5610, it surely is one of the most enduring & satisfying device, Nokia has produced in the Xpress music range. In many ways this device equals the performance of any Nokia Smartphone.

It comes with 1GB memory which is perfect for when you just get the phone. The cameras great for a phone but N-Series 40 3rd edition software makes this phone great because with Nokia, you have to get the right phone or else it is rubbish but this phone is the best phone I've ever had. It's perfect & whatever anyone says, this phone has no problems at all. BUY THIS PHONE! THANKS.

This phone is indeed good for music, but as a lasting piece of equipment it is useless. I personally tend to keep phones for a year or more, I treat them with care, yet this phone just let me down. Its personalising options are limited, the slider mechanism which allows quick & easy access to the music player & FM radio cracked after three months & then completely snapped off, making the phone unusable. In comparison to my last phone the Samsung E900, it didn't even compare. I would happily trade my Nokia 5610 for the Samsung E900. Moving onwards & upwards, the Samsung Soul on the other hand, is a complete success in every way.

Nokia 5610 is one creaky plastic junk phone. It freezes every now & then, it has a highly unreliable software & fragile plastic body. Nokia is one company which gives a damn for the customer service. Nokia care in Chennai is one of those places, where you meet some of the most un concerning & cold people. The online customer service gives vague response to the issues regarding this rubbish. Always advising to take this dumb instrument to the Nokia Care for repair. I fully agree with Layvijai, Nokia 5610 is one of the worst mobile phones, since mine had been crashing more than often, & had been for a repair within a month of purchase. The sound recorder is shaky, since the output of this is not audible even with its speaker on. To top it after repairing this silly device two weeks back, once again it is crashing. Nokia please replace this rubbish with some other better models, or refund my money.

Within a week of buying this device, it started freezing by itself for a day or two, next day onwards it started freezing at the receipt of a call or message during music play. This went on for a week. To resolve the issue I had to remove the battery every time, since there is no other alternative of buttons, which goes unresponsive during this. One fine day the same thing happened, but after removing the battery the mobile didn't respond. It started switching on & off by itself.

So I took it to a service centre of Nokia at HCL Infinit Anna Salai, Chennai, which is pathetic in customer service. Thankfully I received my mobile the next day, after they resolved the issue of the software. Since then thankfully except for few glitches, the set is working fine.

But yes the material used in 5610 is highly questionable, since on slight press it goes creaky. The glass of the mobile feels to be highly fragile. Therefore I have been very cautious in handling this fragile instrument till now.

The volume of the voice recorder is not audible through the speakerphone, though the speaker works fine with the music. Headphone provided by Nokia is of low quality. Music & FM reception is good. The camera is useful but the video recording is not up to mark. Pim function is fine but the ringtones are highly mediocre when even compared with E51.

Nokia should put more effort in bettering its design, apart from this, appoint properly trained & educated staff at the Nokia centre franchises & HCL infinit for better after sales service & experience.

It might not suit other people because it lacks the latest features like N Gage & Symbian OS, but it's still a great phone & MP3 player filled with great features to keep you entertained on the go. I have had this phone & I do think the camera is good but the tiny speaker is not. I have had three replacements since December. The design is nice but not perfect as it is very slippery, when the phone falls the screen scratches. To be honest I would not recommend this phone.

What a rubbish phone. Never expected such a downgrade from Nokia!

Camera is of a very poor quality, my old Sony Ericsson 2mega pixels is much better, screen is blurry the same 16M colours on Nokia 6300 is much better! You cannot record video clip of more than 20 seconds & yes the speakers are loud & clear but it doesn't help if you cannot put your phone on SILENT!

Even if you follow the guide, put it on silent it will still ring! So you have to mess about & go to settings & change the whole thing to beep once setting. What a disappointment! Don't buy this phone if you need more than just a music player!

This is the best music phone from Nokia it is better than the 5700 that has too much twisting. Its camera is fabulous it would me much better if it had something to protect it.

The horizontal thing is so cool & is better than most walkmans also the screen colour is good. The headphones would be better if they were 3.5mm & it's speakers are loud.

This phone is great! If you are looking for a great phone for under £200 this is the one to get! After comparing it with Samsungs & Sony Ericsson's in this price range I can safely say this is by far the best.

Ignore the comments about the bad camera it is extremely good & slightly better than the W810i, I compared pictures taken of the same object in the same conditions & compared them on a high res comp screen.

The sound is good, much better than the average phone speaker, but the internal memory isn't great, however it does come with a 1GB card as standard :).

Yes this phone is wonderful, if you have a spare £180 you should definitely get one of these. The sound is loud the videos are clear the cameras a bad boy & if your like me & got a 4gig you can have plenty of tracks & stuff on it.

So BUY the phone!

After giving this phone a poor review (further down) I decided to go back & give the poor blighter a second chance.

unfortunately I now hate this phone more than I did the first time I reviewed it. Yes the music player is loud but I cannot get over the phone deciding how's best to store your music.

But alas, the volume of the music is now also a downside. Because the built in speaker distributes sound at a fairly decent volume it is now easier for youngster to play their music loud & it annoy me quicker by constantly playing vile RnB stuff on the bus.

I have decided rubbish & pants are the best two words from my entire lexicon to sum up this phone.

Fortunately for me I am loaded so I am off now to pay cold hard cash for a Sony W960i, with my Nokia 5610 either going in the river en route to the phone shop or I am just going to give it to the first homeless person I see.

Hi everyone I got this phone 10 days ago, it is fantastic two little things.

- It would be better with a built in aerial for the radio the lead is a bit long with the aerial lead connected.
- Nokia who stocks the blue one none of the mobile company's do they all only stock the red one for some reason why is this.

Other than that the 6510 is faultless beats Sony 5 Star.

Hi all, I got this mobile ten days ago & N-Series mobiles. I was not convinced. I was very eager to listen to the crystal clear sound of this mobile phone.

Here came a thunder to my head. When I charged the phone & tried to start. Bam! Nothing like this happened, but it refused to start. Don't think it requires a software upgrade.

But to its Pros, a lot to say.
- Style.
- Super clarity Camera with Flash.
- Crystal Clear Sound. (Love it baby).
- Overall Good one.

People before buying this mobile do check if it has the latest firmware updates in it. Or we need to do this & in each firmware update there is a problem waiting for you.

This phone is just plain nasty. Once again Nokia have decided that they know best & have made sure the 5610 follows in the footsteps of the N95 & uses meta tag info for any MP3's you upload to the phone, so any compilation folders of all your favourite tunes you just happen to have compiled get split into individual albums for each artist in your own compilation, with the same being done with artists.

I uploaded one folder of music containing 45 rock tracks by various artists, went to the music player, selected albums & was greeted by 27 album folders (27 artists in my one compilation).

You can access your music in the original folders that you upload your music in by going Gallery, Memory Card, whatever you call your music folder but that's by the by. Nokia should stick to plain old phones & leave the music side of the biz to Sony Ericsson, who I am promptly returning to.

Any piece of music your stick on the phone can be applied to various different things, ringtone, message alert tone, etc, except adding something directly to a contact. For this you have to actually edit your chosen contact & add their own ringtone that way, or as I like to call it, the long & annoying way.

No handy little section to remove to get to the memory card, sim battery here, oh no. The whole back is coming off, & unless you have super strong pointy finger nails I'd keep a Bic biro lid handy as its pointy enough to pry the back off & soft enough not to damage anything.

Admittedly the phone does look good & is immensely loud through a decent (not the Nokia ones supplied) set of ear buds (skull candy smoking buds are fantastic) & I suspect this phone will appeal to the folks who post on these review boards who have trouble spelling properly & use words like Innit & Ting but if your used to Sony Ericsson's then stick to your guns & leave this one well alone.

& the Nokia PC Suite software totally strangled my PC, to the extent it took over 2 minutes to get onto Google.

Got this phone 3 weeks ago & so far it rocks. The music's good & clear plus the videos are comparable to a dedicated video player. The camera's OK though it's not all that. Only special thing about it is the flash which really works. The picture quality on the camera is not as good as that on some 2 megapixel phones I've tested. Hope they don't brand it because it'll get really slow. Not frozen, though when viewing pics it moves rather slowly from one pic to the next. Don't know if this is true but I read that clearing the battery life on first use without charging prevents freezing & crashing.

Nice weight & feels strong though the plastic on it makes it makes it feel fragile (contributing to the 90 on design). The screen really attracts fingerprints though it's nothing that can scare you away from the phone. It also keeps sliding up in my pocket & somehow playing the crystal clear videos (hence the 95 on usability). Apart from that it's a great phone considering it's my first upgrade since the 3200 which was rather a toy with only 1 mb of memory.

Overall great phone & would recommend it to anyone who loves music & an easy 2 use phone.

I got this phone for Xmas. Here is what I think.

Pros
- Music Slider key easy to access music anytime.
- Pictures from camera are very clear & flash is good.
- 4GB max of MicroSD memory.
- Music quality along with the stereo widening on.
- Equaliser easy & good to use.
- screen resolution is very good & clear.
- Good speakers.

Cons
- Very little internal memory.
- Camera speed is slow (Capturing takes at least 2 seconds).

Overall I quite like this phone :). But, I think the price of this phone is a bit expensive.

Hi. This phone's features are very good but the only problem is the camera lens is out of the backside when the back cover is opened. So it is very easy to get damaged. This is the only problem, there is no Wi-Fi & there are no more problems. Everything is excellent & the sound quality is excellent.

The good, great design with some interesting features, like the new slide button for multiple menus & MP3! The material is great, with very good button to click, smooth & enjoyable to touch! A very nice 3MP camera & all the other functions of the Nokia.

The bad, the colour options is not for everyone & the lack of Wi-Fi.

Conclusion, it's a 'very' well made phone, great for music, good for photos & an amazing design! But is no future proof!

Score 8.6.
