I've had a fair few problems with this phone. It doesn't have a music player, & the infra-red has stopped working after 6 months of use. I've dropped it a few times, but now the SMS doesn't work either, nor the Internet. The menus also have a fair bit of lag, so it's a slow phone. Good first phone but not great as an all rounder for me.

I like Meecho, previously had the Nokia 1110i, & bought the 5070 for $79 on Virgin Mobile.
I quite like it, but it would have been nice if it had come with a cable to connect it to the computer, or an infra-red dongle so you could transfer your own files to it. Also, the lack of memory in it is unnerving.

G'Day, I find this phone exceptional. I did have the Nokia 1110i which by this website is a great phone, but I prefer the Nokia 5070. I don't really need the use of a camera but when I do I am not worried about poor quality pictures. Down here in Aus I got this phone from Virgin for $79 making it extremely affordable & I am not being cheap in buying it because I think that it is the best 2G phone available. It's amazing! Great Phone buy it!

One word characterises this phone, SLOW. You press the menu button & it takes about 2 seconds to load up the menu screen. Similar delays for most features. It's about as responsive as an oil tanker.

I am on my third 5070 in less than 2 months. Phone crashes & dies usually when using camera. I am just waiting for this one to go so that Optus will finally give me a different model. Huge loss of information each time, especially in the second one. Some photos I will never get again.

I was using the 6600, that was bulky, I have maximized its capability, from memory, applications, games, videos players. Good one. Later I don't want to carry it any longer. Too heavy. 5070 is the best, small enough to carry & texter friendly, anyways you don't get to show all features to your friends. Just install the new ones. After a month get replacements on its applications.

I don't like this phone at all! I have the Nokia 6070 & this is just the same! It has no MP3 player or Bluetooth just like the Nokia 6070 & it also has a rubbish camera! All they have done to change this phone is put Orange down the sides! Come on Nokia someone was going to notice! Please don't buy this phone it will let you down! The only good thing about it is it is easy to use! I am getting a Sony Ericsson instead! :)

Great phone but can anyone tell me how to stop the screen from dimming every 10 seconds? It's massively annoying when looking at pics or reading texts.

To get the front of the phone off, take off the back & get something small like the end of a pen. There are a couple of little latches on you can see through the back around the side & if you unhook those, then you can pull it apart, it still takes a bit of effort though.

The phone is good & nice because it is so portable.

For one having a low budget & needing the basic features, as well as to experience some high resolution like video capability & FM radio, this functional phone is just right for me. Its downside, however is low memory. Hope Nokia has heeded clamor for increase of memory of Nokia 5070 from its clone Nokia 6070.

Good phone, but does anyone know how to get the front cover of the phone off? Tell me please!

The SQUARE ARROWS BUTTON IS A BIT TOO SMALL & NARROW. The DISPLAY COULD HAVE BEEN SLIGHTLY WIDER & CAMERA IS NOT THAT SHARP. HOWEVER RADIO IS EXCELLENT! PERHAPS ADDING GPS FEATURES CAN BE MORE USEFUL THAN VIDEO OR CAMERA. LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE GOING FOR OUTDOOR TRIPS.
