Had one of these last year, very simplistic design that is reminiscent of an older Samsung model slider type phone from 4 to 5 years back, but it works well & with Nokia's straight forward user interface it is a pleasure to use, decent 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, MP3 player, 16GB micro SD capacity & ease of use makes this another winning phone from Nokia, I dropped mine down the toilet when I was drunk & texting, & I now have a Nokia 6303 Classic, this is a good phone but I miss my old Nokia 3600 slider.

Fab design & easy to use with good range of features BUT very annoyed about the battery life. My old Nokia needed charging every 5 days but this one is so bad I thought it was faulty & returned it to the shop. The second one is no better & with very limited use texting mainly, I am having to charge it up every other day! Not good & I see other users have had the same problem.
Don't BUY as I haven't even used most of the features dread to think what the battery would be like then. Definitely not a 10 day use on standby!

I have just purchased a Nokia 3600 Slide, after doing a lot of research & reviews on this model.
I have had this phone for less than a week, & have been trying to charge the battery, the charge bar goes up & down but is lit in red, this indicates to me that full charge has not been reached, also a message has appeared now stating Charge Not Supported! Help. I am very disappointed as I have not even had the chance to use this phone yet. I have since seen other reviews that state the same problem, anyone got any idea what this problem is? I have been in touch with Nokia, & they have told me to take the phone to a Nokia outlet for them to look at it. But this means I am going to be without my phone for however long it will take them to sort this problem out.
Any advise please? Thank you, Titch.

I use it mainly for just calling & texting, but there are some design flaws. The cap you have to remove to insert the SIM card & battery is VERY hard to open, took me ten minutes, a screwdriver, & now a few scratches on the back. The buttons 1, 2, & 3 are a bit annoying to press because the upper part of the phone is in the way a little.
It has a lot of options I don't use, which I think is annoying, but in no way is a design flaw. However, I really hate losing a dollar every time I press a wrong button.
Overall, for the price it had, it's totally worth it though. Only 50 dollar, it's small, long battery life, it looks nice, & does pretty much what you would expect a phone to do.
One more thing, when I press the button on the side that is supposed to make a picture, it will focus, but when I let go it doesn't take a picture. It would be nice if that worked.

I have been searching for a phone for months & months now. Then I came across the Nokia 3600, I knew it was my kind of phone!
I haven't actually got the phone yet, but by what I have seen & what I have heard. This is a GREAT phone, I am still a bit missed up about the camera quality. The camera isn't really a big deal breaker for me so it isn't going to draw me away from this wonderful phone! I am very excited to get this phone because I think I will be happy about my choice.
Once AGAIN Another GREAT phone from Nokia.
Rated 50% not to affect the overall ratings.

Nokia 3600 has got everything you want in a phone & so easy to use, the camera is excellent, I can't say there is anything about it I don't like & with comments I have been reading all I can say to that is whatever you buy there's always going to be a faulty one.

I have been using this phone for the last 6 months. It is not a very good & stable phone from Nokia. If you switch your call to loudspeaker it is hardly audible. The loudspeaker is of pathetic quality & it is based on the back side of mobile & therefore it sounds reduces further more if you put the phone down on its back.
I had issues with keys & phone hangs in between of calls. I have serviced it once a month ago & will be taking it for next service again. I would not recommend anyone to buy this phone, its sound output is extremely low. Only good point is its 3MP camera.

Really nice phone, with everything I need, however I have just sent the second one back as there appears to be a design fault with the slide mechanism, it scratches the keys. Anyone else experienced this problem? Real shame, as I like everything else about it!

Had this phone one week. Could not get the back off for a long while until another user friend with a Samsung G600 got it off for me. Still find it difficult to remove it. Now after 18 hours of charging it won't power up. My friend tried without success. So what do I do? Going to see shop to change for another one or seek advice about another model. Currently use Nokia 1100 which has never failed me. I am hard of hearing & need a phone that I can hear better, which is why I was recommended the Nokia 3600. I will write again when I've sorted it.

I have been using this mobile phone for the past 8 months now. Broke just once, it was my first phone ever but had loads of regret buying this. It does not allow that much of multitasking. My keypad gets scratches due to the slide. The volume is not so loud especially alarm volume. No perfect cover to keep it protected. Really don't like it. Loads of regrets. I only like the camera with flash. Built in memory should have been at least 1GB. Hands-free broke within a month. Come on Nokia WAKE UP warranty provide should be at least 2 years.

I bought this phone a few weeks ago. My first refused to work (see comment below).
It worked fine, took a while to get used to it however. However today, I removed phone from pocket to find the screen blank, except for multicoloured stripes all over the place. It still does phone calls provided you can remember the number. Just the screen is pretty much useless.
Not impressed & will be returning this phone & buying a different model. Not recommended.

I have been using this mobile for the past 8 months & I got to say, I am not a big fan of Nokia but this model really got me to love Nokia. It is such a user friendly mobile, the speaker is loud, the camera is amazing also the flash, the battery life is really long, I can just go on saying. The price is even not bad at all.
I only found one problem, which is, my keypad got a few scratches because of the slide & its looks kind of bad. But the mobile is worth every penny spent, I PROMISE, cheers!

I just bought this phone, after reading reviews upon reviews of different phones for months. & went & got this one because it seemed pretty darn cool.
I charged up the battery fully, excited to try work it out, & it switches off, at the part when meant to enter the date & time. It doesn't get past it, & won't allow me to press enter or anything.
Not overly impressed by this, & will be returning it & finding a new phone. Real let down.
Going back to Motorola as I have had my one for the past 3 years & it still works, sort of when it's not busy dying & refusing to take a phone call.

Having claimed on the breakage of my old O2 cocoon & being told it was no longer made so I had to have an alternative phone (thank god) I was given 4 phones to chose from, after much deliberation I chose this phone & don't regret it one little bit, it's a great phone, easy to use, loud & has everything I need. Fabulous that you get a USB lead in the box too which makes it so easy to transfer music & mine even came with a memory card already inside, bonus!
Really can't fault this phone, the texting keeps up with me on predictive which I was worried about, sound quality on calls is great.
Only one thing I can say which is hard to forget, lock the keys when you close the phone! All you do is press the middle button but I suppose I forgot to do this as my previous phone was a flip phone so I never needed to lock they keys anyway.
Great phone, love it.

Another super flop phone from N-Series) since launch of 6600 & 3250.
It appears that the phone is cut out from 6500 Slide, body changed to plastic with ceramic paint, Carl Zeiss excluded, Nokia Maps added & released into the market. The phone is built fragile & does not impart any sign of confidence among users. The quality of images taken from its 3.2 MP cam is mediocre with the AWB system struggling hard (unsuccessfully) to balance even the fluorescent lamps of my room. Result. Strong yellow casts in all images taken with AWB.
The signal reception quality is again mediocre & causes frequent call drops. One more interesting fact, while I am on a car drive with a friend (who uses the services of same network provider but uses an S.E phone), she talks to her B.F seamlessly for long hours. At the same time (to my agony) when my B.F tries to call me, I am out of the coverage area!
This shows the fault lies with the phone itself.

Pretty reasonable phone for its price range. Moreover, it looks really elegant with the colour & slim slide design similar to those expensive Motorola sliders. So if you want functionality & great looks for a limited budget, try this for size, it sure will fit.

This phone is amazing! The design is great because it is really slim & stylish. I also love the colour! I have the purple one & it is really dark purple with a lighter back. It has almost every feature that you can think of Bluetooth, Internet, games, loads of memory, battery life is good, a great 3.2 mega pixel camera, MP3 player & loads more!
The only thing that I would say to any one that has it or is getting it is this: In the memory card, don't change the name of the Extras folder because (& I don't know whether this happens on everyone or not) it could change the name of the 2 folders inside to videos & music.
Overall I think that this phone is DEFINITELY worth buying!

Having had an old Nokia for years this is a revelation to me. I love the design & the colour (I have the plum coloured one). The usability is the reason I've chosen a Nokia again & I've not been disappointed. It's dead easy to navigate around even with all the new features I've not had before. I am generally pleased with the camera, good quality pictures in the daylight but not so good at night. I've been disappointed with the quality of the video, rubbish when I downloaded it & watched on the PC. Maybe I am expecting too much for the price. It's great for what I want though & looks really cool.

I bought this a week ago.
VERY POOR BATTERY LIFE. Claimed standby is 10 days. But if I use it only for talking (N series or Motorola ZN5 which need charging only once a week, on low usage, then this performance is totally unacceptable. I am going to give it to the service centre to look into this, but the dealer from whom I bought this has been most unhelpful. He says that standby of less than 2 days is normal & acceptable for the phone & points out that it says UP TO 280 hours on the cover.
NICE PRACTICAL DESIGN, cute, attractive & slim. I really like the camera click & autofocus feature using central button. Only Nokia can come up with such practical design.
GOOD CALL QUALITY.
DECENT FEATURES, FM radio, music, auto focus, flash camera with various image quality options.
BUT LOW USABILITY. FM radio & flash are not of much use with poor battery life. Average music quality. Autofocus is practically of no use. The image quality is same with or without auto focus. Auto focus only makes it longer to take a snap.
OVERALL VERDICT, as of now I regret my decision not buy Motorola ZN5 (Poor service for Motorola in India) or Sony F305 (Doesn't support MicroSD format).
I WOULDN'T recommend THIS PHONE or any other Symbian phone to anyone unless the battery life issue is resolved.

The design his so ugly. All the sliders phone are, but for Slider style it's not so bad.
Features, minimal stuff only, nothing new under the Nokia suns, Nice but nothing special.
Usability, a few bugs in the program like the automatic dictionary, but very easy to use & nice to look at.
The sound & the camera are not so good, but not so bad also.
The Nokia 6131 his much cheaper & a lot better, so I recommend this phone.

I've only just bought this phone to see me through the last 9 months of my contract (broken Samsung G600) & for the price it's really good so far!
The keypad feels slightly plasticy but the phone overall is a really nice small size, lightweight but in general also feels quite sturdy.
Really impressed with the Nokia maps I had preloaded (it's quite a fast app too), & for EDGE the Internet is really quite fast.
The camera is pretty good at 3.2MP (not as good as my N73 but that had a Carl Zeiss lens to be fair), I wouldn't count on it to take professional photos but if that's what you want then buy a camera!
The sound quality is really good. I was slightly worried at first because it seemed really quiet but the phone was set to a really low volume as default.
Overall a great phone for the price I paid. Nokia have done a great job again!

Just got this phone for my birthday, it's a really nice deep plum purple colour (better than the black or red), upgraded from my 2.5 year old 6230i which was getting a bit tatty. I just love this phone. Compared to my old phone this is fantastic, much bigger screen, much better camera etc. It feels silky smooth & the keys are super soft. Navigating around the menu is really easy to do. Like the idea that I can increase memory up to 4GB (ample space for pictures & music) not sure of standby battery life as I've only had it just over a day but if it's anything like my old Nokia then it'll be fine. To me this is the perfect phone (plus it's purple which is a massive bonus).

I was completely torn when I went to the retailer to buy a phone & what two phones was I torn between? the LG Cookie Smartphone & this one, both same price.
The LG screen was huge & the phone was sturdy & heavy. The Nokia was smaller, lighter, had firmer & greater responses & its sound was louder. I loved the way the numbers clicked beneath the fingers so you didn't depress the wrong one! Both cameras were same spec, same memory & same colour. The Nokia was easier to use & navigate. The LG technology in its infancy concerned me.
In the end & after much debating (sorry Jacob) the Nokia won me over. The camera could be a little better it's true, but I had a 2 megapixel before & this is an improvement.
As for music quality, well I didn't buy it for that, but for ease of use, it just wins hands down. I like it. Good old Nokia, once again.

Most people complain about the camera on this phone. Do the following & the picture quality & camera performance should improve. Remove the plastic sheet protecting the camera. Set the picture quality to medium. Once you do these things, you will find the picture quality improving greatly & the camera performs much faster. I think that the camera comes from the factory set at the highest (largest) picture quality. Setting it to a smaller picture setting makes the camera much faster.
I've had this phone for a few days now, & after making the above changes, it is proving to be a great phone. It is also cute with a silky touch.

Though the looks are killing, there are a few things which I don't like, my one is less than 24 hours old. The keypad has a very plasticy touch. My phone hangs when I try to capture the pictures with the camera button on the side, I am not sure what the experience is of the other users.
I am going to take this mobile back to my vendor to sort out the problem. The interface is cool, typical smartness of Nokia.
The camera is 3.2 megapixels but the image quality is rubbish. My three years old 2 megapixel N70 takes better pictures.
Anyway if the camera button problems are solved, it can be an average phone.

What a phone, this phone is really excellent, 3.2 mp camera picture is perfect even in dark, sound is really good same as Sony w300i, keypad is soft, thanks to Nokia for such a fantastic mobile.

Design could have been better & Battery backup is not good.
