Bought as Xmas present last year, the worst phone I have ever owned & I have had mobiles since 1992, freezes on texting, camera controls bizarre, but far & away the worst feature is no auto key guard! Can't believe Nokia would not install this as a feature, I have spent hundreds of Euros dialling people from my pocket! Don't BUY, TRUST ME!

SPEAKER SOUND WHILE PLAYING MP3 IS JUST WONDERFUL & LOUD, IT'S A STRONG MODEL FROM Nokia NO DOUBT, SYMBIAN LOVER'S CAN ENJOY the LATEST V3 SOFTWARE IN IT :) ITS A MUST HAVE PHONE NO DOUBT! & BATTERY LIFE AFTER A GOOD USAGE IS 2 DAYS!

This is an amazing phone for music lovers, but not for people who send a lot of text msgs, cos it takes about 5 minutes to send a single msg & freezes the phone.

Phone looks nice with good quality pictures & video. Good music player & can upgrade memory.
DO NOT BUY: if you have a need to use the messaging facilities regularly, it's ridiculous how long it takes to send one message. I had to give this to my kids as is was useless in business.

This phone as got all good features an is a good design but I can't stand the it takes so long to send a text message. I text all the time an I can't believe how long it takes its so bad, its really frustrating that you have to wait 4 at least 5 mins before it sends while the phone freezes an you can't use it till its sent its really annoying so if you send texts a lot then I wouldn't buy it unless your really patient, however if you don't really use text then buy it because everything else on it is good, don't no if I will end up keeping this phone as text messaging is the most important reason I have my phone an I can't stand waiting so long to send what should be a quick text.

It's cool mobile, & sound is superb I think this is the only one in sound, camera is good not bad but there is little noise in camera. But this Mobile has strong supports of formats you can play many formats files like aac, eaac, & many more it takes 1/4 size of MP3 with good sound quality. So if you are interested to buy it that's you are right decision. So let's the music play now. Enjoy.

I've heard so many comments about the thing in sending messages that takes long to be sent, does this apply both on Nokia 3250 & Nokia 3250 xpressmusic? I mean, they got the new one just having a bigger slot of memory. Is it true for both that it takes long to send messages?

There's no grade lower than 5%, it's a worthless piece of kit!
Or just maybe I am one of the unfortunately friends who bought it (mind you it's a 5 mos gap) which has the same problem. Can that be of the same batch manufactured?
The problem I had with this phone is when sending a message it, at first it takes about 2 secs then 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8 then you'll just know it takes about 2mins where you must restore factory settings on your phone & delete all existing data, & start all over again.
& for its other features, frequently the phone hangs up when you execute them.
SO PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PHONE. IF YOU HAVE ONE THROW IT IN the MIDDLE OF the OCEAN!

This phone is really great! The design really attracts me. I love the functions & the camera is quite impressive. This phone has a good sound quality. I change the headsets because the original provided earphones are bad. However, after I changed to a better earphone. The sound is really fantastic. There is nothing much I need to worry about this phone except one thing. WILL the phone loosen after I use for a while? I mean the twist design. I am really afraid if it loosens up. Twisting will spoil right? Or not? I am not sure. Hope it doesn't happens =)

It's excellent, I use this last 8 months & I never had a problem with this. It's one the most spectacular sound quality mobile of its kind.
Reviewer: Martyn - UK
Date: 12th Nov 2006
I had one huge problem with this phone: SMS messages take a very time to send.
OK, perhaps trivial to some, but the delay made it impossible to have a quick back-&-forth conversation via SMS as most of the time was spent staring at the "Sending Message" message on the screen. According to my local mobile shop, the Symbian technology in most new Nokia's is to blame & not my local service provider.
It's a shame because apart from this the phone is great. OK, a bit chunky & heavy, but no other complaints. & the "Twist" design isn't a gimmick either, it's actually really useful. The camera, particularly the ability to shoot 1-hour-long videos of your own, is brilliant, I was astonished with the picture quality.
So if you rarely use SMS then no problem. Otherwise, have your SIM card ready & send out a couple of messages in the shop before you buy so you can see for yourself.

Slick phone folks. Screen is largest on the market although not the high-resolution out side in the light not inside when its dark as it is missing flash. The music is excellent loud & clear compared to the Walkman the Sony Ericsson w series is rubbish.

I have had this phone for four months. I am currently on my second Nokia 3250 as the first one went away to be repaired & I had to have a second phone, which has also now gone away to be repaired. The features are fantastic, when they work. I have had the same problem with the screen freezing. Text messages take AGES to go through as the screen just locks. If could change this for another phone then I would. I have this with O2 & have found them to be most unhelpful. Never again would I take out a contract with O2. All in all, I hate this phone.

I've had this phone for about 5 weeks now & I'm overall happy with it! It has a vast amount of features for a phone especially the flash player (I've wanted them to do this for years). As with other comments, the 2mp camera leaves a lot to be desired & only 176x144 video capture is a bit disappointing but the video quality is surprisingly good seeing as the camera quality isn't. I'm very impressed with the connectivity features, the standard pc suite is quite good & the fact that you're not restricted to this by being able to use it as a mass-storage device is awesome! That's such a handy feature I can't begin to describe it. I generally get approx 1mb sec transfer speeds to my 512mb microSd card as well which is perfectly acceptable although sometimes it's a lot faster. I've converted several different video formats for it & it plays them all! 3gp, 3g2, mp4, rm, ram all work fine! It even plays south park episodes downloaded straight from the web (in .rm) without reconverting albeit with a little stuttering (typical quality 320x240, 220kbps vbr). However, the mp3 features are not all as good as Nokia would like you to believe, I've had some trouble with long audio tracks (over 45 mins), it doesn't seem to let you scan past the 45 min mark for some reason, it will just start the track again (VERY annoying)! I've also had a few troubles with installing extra software (.sis only) there doesn't seem to be ANY software that will install on this phone, very puzzling (& yes the software I've tried to install is s60 v3 compliant). I know I've gone into some detail here but this is the stuff I wanted to know about before I bought it which I could not find. Overall a great phone with maybe a few bugs that may put-off an experienced user but nothing somebody looking for a great phone should have to worry about! Did I also mention that it's currently free from o2 on their cheapest contract? Bearing that in mind you can't go wrong!! I hope this is useful to whoever reads this! Nice phone Nokia! Shame it's made from cheap parts but great phone none-the-less.

Damn...this phone is sooooo cooool! This Phone has all the features that I need. Awesome Music player. Time to say good bye to my IPod. In many reviews it is given that the sound is not as good as Sony Ericsson Walkman Phones...Never believe those. They are just fake. Just try yourself. I can give you 100% assurance that the mp3 playback is awesome. Camera is also as good as K750i. I've compared the photos taken by 3250 with my friends K750i. They are just same. Nokia did the job again by this cool phone. Nokia Rockz. Don't wait ...go & get one!!!

Well all what I can say it is such a cool phone. I got it for a month & half. All features r so cool. Just connect the mp3 adaptor to ur headphones, car, stereo & u can listen freely to ur songs & radio, which works with loud speaker wow. All r great. Twisting is so cool.
U can also take pic or video without getting anybody attention when u twist the lower part so that the play stop buttons be up.
The only bad thing was the camera, ya... Although it is 2 mp but it is made of bad materials...n70, n71 cam is so better...if they put n7o's cam is 3250 it would be the best phone. I sold my 3250 & got n71 it is really so cool but I regret buying it cuz of the high price cuz I could have bought n70 for lower price & nearly same options.
What do u think? The loudspeaker of n71 is much better than that of n70 but still not like the fantastic one in 3250. I want ur opinions for what I wrote.
Thx

Due out soon, it should have a large following as it is a bit of a concept phone with the addition of the swivelling keypad it looks a nice piece of kit.
