Solid mid range mobile with very minor niggles.1.3 mp camera isn't hot but hey. It's a phone! There's room for a larger memory card which is really useful for contacts & files etc. Could do with a better loud speaker & the text message tone (which ever one you choose) only sounds the once I.e. Doesn't repeat which is an inconvenience. Excellent battery life & it's not a bad little phone & you could do a lot worse for the price.

Great phone. ALL YOU PEOPLE, YOU KEEP ON COMPLAINING ABOUT the PHONE RESTARTING ALL the TIME. WHY DON'T YOU READ the LIMITATIONS OF the PHONE FIRST? ! Anyway, the only problem is, you'll lose your signal even though you're in places you should have a lot of signal. People that complain that it's restarting just keep putting files in the phone, even though the phone can't handle it anymore.

Mobile is good, but the faults I found were if you speak more than 5 minutes lot of heat waves are generated around your phone. I got heavy ear pain & had to consult a doctor. Doctor advised not to use this Phone. When I went to customer care with heat problem, they sent the phone to head office for replacement. I got it back after 75 days, but replaced mobile also had the same problem.

Do not buy this 3110 Classic, Nokia Care Service centres are a bunch of cheaters so don't trust them.

I had this phone for over a year & I loved the music on this phone & the battery life was AMAZING. This phone has only one problem. It keeps restarting itself & finally turns off, that was why I had to get myself another phone. Now I have the Nokia 7210 supernova & the supernova is the most USELESS phone I have ever owned. I think Nokie is going through a bad phone phase because all of the recent ones are getting horrible reviews. Time to switch to another brand.

My dad had a Nokia 3310 before & thought it was high time for a change because of the small font the 3310 had. Had to do a lot of scrutiny before deciding on this. Now let's talk about the phone.

- Looks, When I saw this for the first time in the net, I had decided this has to be the phone for my dad. Just loved the black, glossy look of the phone. It has a big keypad, good navi button, nice screen, ergonomics etc. Looks very sleek & light on the pocket as it weighs only about 87 g.

- Build, the phone is very solidly built. It has a rubbery portion at the back that gives you great grip. It has no creaks (not expecting any also). The big keypad makes dialling & messaging a breeze. But quick typers will take some time to adjust because of spacing between keys. The navi key is very good & functional.

- Features, This phone might be light on the outside but on the inside it is LOADED! It has a 1.3 mpx camera that takes decent enough pictures, FM Radio, Bluetooth, exp memory up to 2GB, huge that can store 2000 numbers, decent sound quality etc.

The best part is that it runs on the N-Series 40 interface that is very customizable, user friendly & less prone to software issues.

The phone has a feature of voice commands which one can use rather than searching through the phone menu. For example, if one needs to switch on the FM (headset should be plugged), just say Radio ON. But voice recognition takes some time to get used to. A great feature in my opinion for a budget phone.

I have put a 64MB memory card which I got when I bought my Nokia 6233 (will write on that too) so no problems for space as it is for my dad who is not into much of songs, themes & stuff.

The phone comes with 9 MB internal memory which is higher than my 6233 which has only 6 MB.

- Connectivity, this phone provides all the basic connectivity options to the user. It has Bluetooth, infra-red & Mini USB. Sadly, Nokia doesn't provide a data cable neither a PC Suite CD.

- Battery, this phone has a good battery backup of about 2-3 days standby. But all car chargers, be prepared to change your chargers because Nokia has given a smaller charging slot than the conventional one.

Overall, this phone is good buy for all the budget oriented users.

Hey guys one more advantage is that it comes with a 512MB card all for free. So those who don't have to do much with songs n themes stuff, it's a good for them.

Here is the NEW BUDGET KING!

- 10th February, Nokia care resets the Phone. WOW. What a great idea.
- 12th February, Nokia care opened & did something. I will ask them what they did.
- 14, 15, 16th February, Tried, tried went to Nokia care.
- 16th February, replaced batttery. Worked intill 10pm.
- 17th February, Again not powering ON.

Nice classic design which is what I wanted & fairly easy to use for a newcomer to Nokia. However, one thing, there is no info displayed showing date & time of calls or messages sent & received. Not sure if this is because I haven't set up correctly or a design fault. I have always had this facility on my previous 5 mobile phones. Can anyone advise please?

I've been connecting this phone to my PC. So I am able to store my files. But last night I tried connecting the cable from my phone to the PC a couple of times. Surprisingly, it didn't work. So I tried the Bluetooth & the memory card, & both of them didn't work also (but I haven't tried them at all). After a while, I turned on my phone, & it takes 10 to 15 seconds before my wallpaper appear. & when it finally appeared, it turns into plain white every 5 to 10 seconds. The Menu disappears & then backed after 5 to 10 seconds again. The LCD is still OK. & the last time I fell it was a month ago. So I really don't know what caused the big change. Does anybody know what happened to my phone? & also the solution. Please do reply. I really need it.

I had this phone & it is a great messaging phone because it has nice keypads & it is also quite durable. But it will auto restart when surfing the web even sometimes when I am listening to the music & doing other task like deleting text message. It has a low resolution small screen & a little memory. Sometimes it will hang when starting the phone. I am using the Nokia OEM 256MB memory card. I hate it & I am going to change it to Sony Ericsson W595.

Well I guess for a cheapish budget phone it works alright, that is until you start to use the Internet or insert a memory card. The camera is average, 1.3 megapixels, & also has average screen display & quality. The music player works OK until you insert a memory card (micro SD), & the phone has killed my 1GB memory card & my 2GB new one. Sound quality is rubbish, & fairly quiet. However, through its fashionable (if not a little bulky) looks, the phone manages to slightly redeem itself. Texting & making calls is almost perfect, except for missed calls.

Overall, I would not recommend that you get this phone, as even if it does only cost around £40 in the UK., it destroyed £40 of other stuff I owned & caused a great deal of problems to me (e.g. Freezing, vibrating randomly! ) so I would recommend forking out another £20 or so for the Sony Ericsson W610i, which has the impressive Walkman, track id & has a memory of 60MB, comes with a 512 MB memory card & can take up to 2GB around 700 songs. The 3110c should not be purchased, however attractive its looks may be.

Whilst the phone is a nice size & reasonably easy to use we have had 2 phones know & in both cases had problems with Blue tooth connection for people using blue tooth a lot, in fact I have tried 5 different Nokia models including the N73 & all seem to have quality problems with blue tooth & maintaining a clear connection. So far the best phones seem to be the Sony Ericsson's. Has anyone had similar problems, our ear pieces are all Jabra, this may or may not have something to do with it.

It is good & best low rate phone in Nokia Series. I like this phone very much it having all features what a phone of today should have no problems with it at all to me. The only thing is that 3110 Classic (collaboration with classic) is Nokia Series.

Only bad defect is that the screen of the phone which reflects rainbow shades it means it's not as original Nokia phone screen (NOTE THIS POINT).

Otherwise good, overall I like it using it.

I chose this phone after losing my 6630. I deliberately went for a non 3G model as I'd found the 6630 slow & prone to software problems. But it's a case of from the frying pan into the fire.

The 3110 has had a tendency to restart when using email or Internet or when the battery gets low, but most of all when you have a memory card installed, when it goes into a permanent state of restarting until you take the card out.

As there is little internal memory, a card is essential for using the MP3 player, camera, video etc, but after trying two different brands of micro SD it's clear that this phone does not like them, so the music player, camera etc are rendered unusable.

Also there is no way to adjust screen brightness. I used to have my old phone on minimum brightness to conserve battery life but this phone doubles as a torch!

Very disappointing.

I tried to update the firmware but the Nokia website says there is no online support for this phone you have to go to a Nokia service centre. This is a horrible, life-wrecking, saddening, disgusting piece of plastic that Nokia has made. I had a Sony Ericsson for 3 years before that stopped working & I purchased this & this doesn't last 2 months. I hate Nokia & will never purchase anything from them again.

This is probably the best phone I've ever come across. Some people have said that the design is very ordinary & innovative, but its looks are probably the smartest & simplest.

It has a big keypad, & the phone is very fast in its functioning. The back has a velvety touch which feels very nice to hold (with the optimum weight of the set).

The camera is not very good, but does enough for Caller Images.

About the music, I don't know why someone said that the Nokia earphones are useless, I have no idea what they expect from a phone. The music quality is excellent in its own class, & the earphones are fairly comfortable & have a decent bass response.

The screen is good & fairly large. The buttons are sturdy, smart, responsive & lovable!

The only thing I didn't like about this set is that the loudspeaker isn't very loud! The ringtone is not very audible, & this becomes a bit of a problem when you are in crowded areas. About the design & placement of the speaker, I have no idea why they have placed it on the back of the phone (where the sound is always suppressed when the set is kept on a tabletop).

The battery backup is decent (not very good).

All in all, the set is a good buy for anyone. The amount of features it offers for its price is phenomenal!

This is a basic phone for people who don't want a battery draining camera or MP3 player or diary system. It is cheap & reliable & an easy to use Nokia menu system that still beats other manufacturers. If you have had any of the old skool Nokia's this is the best to change to for the price. It does seem to have a software fault of restarting itself but luckily after switching it on & off a few times it sorted out problem & I have had this a while now & fault hasn't returned. I find the best thing is just to leave it switched on all the time & charge it while it is on. Hope this helps previous reviewer.

The phone is also fantastic value for money at £47 & free delivery from Dial a Phone. It has a good camera (1.3 mega pixels) & all the other features expected of a modern phone.

Good phone but hands up who else's screen has broken. It broke in my pocket. I've never owned a Nokia until now, I've had Sony Ericsson's that have lasted me 15 months & fault free, this breaks in two weeks. Also my Fiancée had a different Nokia that she had replaced no more than 3 times & the third one still broke. She now has a different phone & it's OK. The old Nokia's seemed to last forever what's happened? the new ones are like the fords of the phone world, everyone has one & regrets it because it keeps breaking down. It's going to cost me £20 for a new screen or £40 for the same phone again. Hmmm choices choices. Think I'll go back to my old one. Shame apart from that it was a well laid out user friendly phone.

No sooner than I got this phone home & switched on it went back in the box & back to the shop for a refund. Wow, the screen is tiny & the graphics quality shocking. Bought it PAYG to replace a lost contract phone but will stick to an old contract phone I have from 4 years ago the Nokia 6600 as even though it's old it is much better quality than this one. Can't comment for anything else as the screen quality meant I have ruled this phone out. However I must say the phone looks very nice for a cheap handset & it also has big keys which is a sensible design idea shame they crammed the navigation keys close together at the top.

I couldn't set the alarm for PM for items like reminder, notes etc, neither it allows me to enter a time in 24 hour clock. One day I just tried the Reset Factory Settings option & guess what, it solved the alarm problem. It allowed me to set AM or PM, but, the on & off button on the top stopped working immediately. When the battery ran out & the phone switched off, I am not able to switch on the phone even after charging the battery fully. The ringtone volume is bad too. The phone has a serious problem with memory cards & the integrated music player. After power on the phone often restarts several times & if the restarts exceed a certain number the phone switches complete off. The reason seems to be a problem with micro sd cards & music files on it. I had this problem with a 2GB sd card.

Sometimes it works fine after the power on & sometimes it shows the restart problems (the content of the sd card is unchanged). If I manually update the music library then there is a great chance to produce the restarts.

I will return the phone to the shop. Note, I use the latest software version V5.50.

I got this to replace my 8210, which I have had for 5 years, so it had a lot to live up to. I wanted a simple phone with a good battery life with features that were useful & didn't just get in the way. So far I am very happy with it!

The first 2 weeks I had it, it was just left on standby & I sent a few texts, as I was waiting for it to be unlocked, & it lasted the full 2 weeks on one charge. Over Christmas I played a LOT of games & music on it & made maybe an hour of calls on it & it lasted about 5 days.

It lives up to its CLASSIC title, as I had no problems using the menu & features after using nothing but my 8210 for 5 years.

Overall an affordable, durable, well designed, easy to use, simple phone with good battery life.

I bought this phone yesterday & I must say I am very pleased with it. It has everything I need. It looks way better live than in photos. It's very simple to work with (or wouldn't be a Nokia). The system is fast & responsive. It has thoughtful details (congrats Nokia). Camera isn't strong but even so, better than I thought it would be. Sound quality also impressed me. It's light & fits very well in the pocket. It's early for me to speak about the battery life but it seems to last long (as I expected). I've been playing a lot with the functionalities of the phone & battery is still full (& I had to write all my contacts to phone memory, by hand). Good screen too.

Before I decided to buy this phone, I was undecided into a Samsung D900i because of its size & weight. But because of its short battery life, I went to this phone. I think I made the right choice! The only con I noticed was the back rubber, that is cool, but seems to save fingerprints & with time maybe some marks of hand grease.

It has little memory too, but I didn't buy it to be a MP3 (since I got one). I'll buy a 256Mb or 512Mb memory card just to feel more comfortable. If you want a good, simple & functional phone with cheap price, & with great modern look. I recommend you Nokia 3110c!

Excellent phone. It's got lots of features that you would expect. Very user friendly especially for people accustomed to Nokia Phones. Camera is good but it is very dependent on light. If you're having problems on its clarity use it's Night Mode, you'll immediately see an improvement.

This is the best feature packed phone the money can buy, it has many features that even some N-Series & its rivals from other brands don't (like the stereo FM & mini USB connector). I am using it for 5 months now, it works great except one thing, the speaker sounds low on level 4 & too high on level 5, this little problem was solved in the latest firmware V 5.5.

I can easily grant its design a full mark but the speaker position is not good, it would be much better if the speaker was on the right or left side of the phone, also the phone battery could not be charged through a USB cable like Motorola.

I like the idea of letting the user to update the phone firmware directly through the USB cable (I did that myself & updated it from the original 4.9 to the latest 5.5, & hey you will not lose any of your data in the phone's memory including the phone log data like the duration counters, data counters.)

One last word, if you are on a tight budget & you expect a lot from your phone, do not hesitate, go & buy yourself one.

I've been using this phone for the last two months & I must say that this is one of the best phones that Nokia has ever made yet. Being a user of Sony & Motorola, I wanted something different for a while & so I choose the Nokia 3110c. I must say it was a wise choice that I made. Not that I haven't used Nokia phones before, this one has hit the spot for users who wanted a perfect value for money phone.

The phone is extremely easy to use, one of the best OS to play around with. I have loaded (I literally mean it) my phone to its brim with themes, games, software & videos. One of the most amazing things that I liked about the phone is its ability to download large files using a GPRS. I've been able to download files that are over 5MB! Using the USB cable is another breeze in this phone. Its ability to connect to any PC without the software CD makes it an ultimate feature on the phone.

Coming to the camera on the phone, let's say it's just adequate. The music quality on the phone is pretty good, but the headsets are a big letdown as the rubber rings around the headsets tend to fall off quite often (I've lost one of the rubber rings).

But on the whole the phone is an ultimate entertainment unit for anyone hunting for a value for money mobile phone.

Data Cable is not provided with set. So when you buy all these accessories (Memory Card, Data Cable), It makes your budget more than Rs.7000 but its design is very good & its having almost all features.

I have been using the phone for the past 5 months. Initially it looked a great phone with all the possible features in a budget price. However, the phone boots frequently, if you are using a 1GB on more memory card especially while changing the themes (If the themes are stored in the memory card). The FM Quality is very poor. I have a Nokia 6610i whose FM is far better than that of this one. Also, the stereo effect is hardly noticeable during FM operation even for stereo songs. The camera is useless at dark lights. Additionally, the music player sorts the music stored as per alphabetic orders & therefore you have to sort the song of your choice every time you intend to listen to your favourite music. The stereo widening effect is useless.

The good things are:
- It looks are great.
- the sound reception is good.
- It has a very good battery backup almost 3 days.
- It is easy to use as buttons are placed conveniently.
- It is a value for money phone at so many features at a good price.

It is very useful because of its functionality & features within a reasonable price. As it's a new phone there might have some software problem. I've faced some of them.

I use this phone as an edge modem connecting with my PC using data cable. Performance is awesome. But the problem is sometimes it disconnected. & sometimes it restarted. Although, it takes less than 1 second for restarting. But when it restarts I have to connect to the Internet again.

The design is perfect. Camera performance is just perfect. Phone accessing speed is very fast. But I think I should be 100% perfect if it got a large screen. A tiny screen doesn't math with this phone.

Overall performance is amazing.

The only problem I found was now Nokia has a smaller & more delicate charging sockets. They should have stuck to the older type for commonality & ruggedness.

Data cable is not in the package but then this is a standard USB data cable & not much of a hassle.

But for this value for money product

If you are looking for a phone with features like MP3, radio, camera, Bluetooth, & gprs with a budget price this is the phone you should go for.

Great phone for the price you pay 5800Rs.I bought it last month. Good day time photos, reasonable night photos if night mode is on. Snaps look better once you transfer to PC. Yahoo software preloaded makes logging on to yahoo mail & other yahoo services a breeze. Internet is fast. Voice clarity, Signal reception & ease of use of keypad excellent. Downloaded snake 3 from the Nokia site.

Greatest Advantages are:
- Voice recorder which can record for 1 hour (if you put in a good capacity SD card-I am using a 1GB card. But don't try to play it back through the speaker-best results if you copy it to the PC & hear it or, use the stereo head phones. Can record conversations during phone calls also, works best in this setting.
- Phone Book Memory of 2000, don't think any other phone in this price range has anything near.
- All the control buttons below the screen are customizable.
- PC sync with Outlook express was great.
- Can use as a memory stick via a mini USB adapter.

The only problems I am facing are:
- Inability to browse the net using the Nokia browser. It just says connecting I waited almost 5 minutes before giving up.
- Speaker phone in hands-free mode volume is too low-looks like a software bug as the speaker plays back MP3 songs at good volume.
- On accessing Gmail, the phone retrieves the oldest mail, not the latest! Peculiar. Any one has any solutions?

I bought this phone a month ago. It's really cheap & affordable for student like me. Design is cool, especially the keypad, cause it's the only Nokia phones with a large keypad on it. The interface is bad, maybe because of its price. If you want a nice phone, you should buy Sony Ericsson instead.

The big problem it's on the screen & the camera. The screen is bad, when I get pictures from other phones, the image looks blurred & poor quality, & it's really annoying, because it's looks great at other phones (previously I use N-gage, & the image its totally better than this phones).
Secondly, it's the camera. I only use the camera twice (I never use the video) & it's totally useless. Nokia, why don't you stop making 1.3 MP & start to make 2 MP instead?

Overall, it's a moderate phones, really suited for the tight budget. But if I had more money, I'd rather buy 6120 classic or Sony Ericsson.

Pros:

- Packed with features! You get 1.3MP camera, music player, stereo FM, Bluetooth, infra-red, EDGE, WAP browser.
- Low price.
- Classic Design & Big Keys.

Cons:

- Lacks the features of Symbian phones.
- Camera is N-Series.
- the '8x' zoom is digital zoom, not optical zoom, so it's useless.
- the headphones are N-Series.

It's too bright & un-adjustable & it doesn't display certain colours (especially dark tones) well compared to my other Nokia phone: 6070. It's absolutely impossible to shoot a good 1.3MP quality photo in low light conditions (again compared with the 6070, which only has a VGA camera is able to shoot a satisfying pic in dim light).

Other than that above, I am satisfied with the overall of the 3110 classic. The design is excellent, keypad is totally user friendly.

Oh yeah, I am quite annoyed with the music player. Music files are automatically sorted alphabetically. So I can't play music according to the folder it's in.

At last a phone with great features, with brilliant sized buttons although they could have been spaced out more & more built up (usually Nokia tries to fob us off with rubbish features with phones that has big buttons etc well done Nokia) but apart from that great well done Nokia bring more phones like that.

Why Nokia couldn't have come up with a phone like this years ago I don't know, it would have saved me so much money buying rubbish phones waiting for some one to design a phone which has a keypad to suit the human finger! At last I can press one key at a time - I can see the figures on them! Well done Nokia, lets see if the other manufacturers can finally realise that microscopic keys & a large screen are not the way to go! Even better it has a USB socket, woo hoo at last connection to a PC is possible! Who cares if the camera is rubbish, if you want to take pictures buy a proper camera!

I am really pleased with this one, it's a keeper.

Though the features & usability are good, the design is very poor (with very big size number keys). They could have reduced the size of the number keys & utilize that space for some other special buttons like the menu & other buttons in Nokia N70.

One of the pure functional & value for money & no nonsense phone by Nokia. Design looks a bit boxy but considering the other features it can be easily ignored. Screen could have been a bit bigger & better resolution since 1.3 MP cam totally gets lost due to that. today's latest news states new lowest best buy prices at Indian rupees 5999/-only. Even a USB data cable in that package could have been an added advantage. Stereo widening a good feature. Nice sturdy & user-friendly.

Despite its big but uncomfortable keys & few other underwater rocks in its usage, this phone has everything a phone should have & even more. The keys & poor inbuilt speaker quality are the only major problems I can think of at the moment actually, even though there was something else phone's so great I've completely forgotten what they were. To put it simple - phone's great.
