Mobile is good, but the faults I found were if you speak more than 5 minutes lot of heat waves are generated around your phone. I got heavy ear pain & had to consult a doctor. Doctor advised not to use this Phone. When I went to customer care with heat problem, they sent the phone to head office for replacement. I got it back after 75 days, but replaced mobile also had the same problem.

Do not buy this 3110 Classic, Nokia Care Service centres are a bunch of cheaters so don't trust them.

I had this phone for over a year & I loved the music on this phone & the battery life was AMAZING. This phone has only one problem. It keeps restarting itself & finally turns off, that was why I had to get myself another phone. Now I have the Nokia 7210 supernova & the supernova is the most USELESS phone I have ever owned. I think Nokie is going through a bad phone phase because all of the recent ones are getting horrible reviews. Time to switch to another brand.

My dad had a Nokia 3310 before & thought it was high time for a change because of the small font the 3310 had. Had to do a lot of scrutiny before deciding on this. Now let's talk about the phone.

- Looks, When I saw this for the first time in the net, I had decided this has to be the phone for my dad. Just loved the black, glossy look of the phone. It has a big keypad, good navi button, nice screen, ergonomics etc. Looks very sleek & light on the pocket as it weighs only about 87 g.

- Build, the phone is very solidly built. It has a rubbery portion at the back that gives you great grip. It has no creaks (not expecting any also). The big keypad makes dialling & messaging a breeze. But quick typers will take some time to adjust because of spacing between keys. The navi key is very good & functional.

- Features, This phone might be light on the outside but on the inside it is LOADED! It has a 1.3 mpx camera that takes decent enough pictures, FM Radio, Bluetooth, exp memory up to 2GB, huge that can store 2000 numbers, decent sound quality etc.

The best part is that it runs on the N-Series 40 interface that is very customizable, user friendly & less prone to software issues.

The phone has a feature of voice commands which one can use rather than searching through the phone menu. For example, if one needs to switch on the FM (headset should be plugged), just say Radio ON. But voice recognition takes some time to get used to. A great feature in my opinion for a budget phone.

I have put a 64MB memory card which I got when I bought my Nokia 6233 (will write on that too) so no problems for space as it is for my dad who is not into much of songs, themes & stuff.

The phone comes with 9 MB internal memory which is higher than my 6233 which has only 6 MB.

- Connectivity, this phone provides all the basic connectivity options to the user. It has Bluetooth, infra-red & Mini USB. Sadly, Nokia doesn't provide a data cable neither a PC Suite CD.

- Battery, this phone has a good battery backup of about 2-3 days standby. But all car chargers, be prepared to change your chargers because Nokia has given a smaller charging slot than the conventional one.

Overall, this phone is good buy for all the budget oriented users.

Hey guys one more advantage is that it comes with a 512MB card all for free. So those who don't have to do much with songs n themes stuff, it's a good for them.

Here is the NEW BUDGET KING!

- 10th February, Nokia care resets the Phone. WOW. What a great idea.
- 12th February, Nokia care opened & did something. I will ask them what they did.
- 14, 15, 16th February, Tried, tried went to Nokia care.
- 16th February, replaced batttery. Worked intill 10pm.
- 17th February, Again not powering ON.

Nice classic design which is what I wanted & fairly easy to use for a newcomer to Nokia. However, one thing, there is no info displayed showing date & time of calls or messages sent & received. Not sure if this is because I haven't set up correctly or a design fault. I have always had this facility on my previous 5 mobile phones. Can anyone advise please?

I've been connecting this phone to my PC. So I am able to store my files. But last night I tried connecting the cable from my phone to the PC a couple of times. Surprisingly, it didn't work. So I tried the Bluetooth & the memory card, & both of them didn't work also (but I haven't tried them at all). After a while, I turned on my phone, & it takes 10 to 15 seconds before my wallpaper appear. & when it finally appeared, it turns into plain white every 5 to 10 seconds. The Menu disappears & then backed after 5 to 10 seconds again. The LCD is still OK. & the last time I fell it was a month ago. So I really don't know what caused the big change. Does anybody know what happened to my phone? & also the solution. Please do reply. I really need it.

I had this phone & it is a great messaging phone because it has nice keypads & it is also quite durable. But it will auto restart when surfing the web even sometimes when I am listening to the music & doing other task like deleting text message. It has a low resolution small screen & a little memory. Sometimes it will hang when starting the phone. I am using the Nokia OEM 256MB memory card. I hate it & I am going to change it to Sony Ericsson W595.

Well I guess for a cheapish budget phone it works alright, that is until you start to use the Internet or insert a memory card. The camera is average, 1.3 megapixels, & also has average screen display & quality. The music player works OK until you insert a memory card (micro SD), & the phone has killed my 1GB memory card & my 2GB new one. Sound quality is rubbish, & fairly quiet. However, through its fashionable (if not a little bulky) looks, the phone manages to slightly redeem itself. Texting & making calls is almost perfect, except for missed calls.

Overall, I would not recommend that you get this phone, as even if it does only cost around £40 in the UK., it destroyed £40 of other stuff I owned & caused a great deal of problems to me (e.g. Freezing, vibrating randomly! ) so I would recommend forking out another £20 or so for the Sony Ericsson W610i, which has the impressive Walkman, track id & has a memory of 60MB, comes with a 512 MB memory card & can take up to 2GB around 700 songs. The 3110c should not be purchased, however attractive its looks may be.

Hi guys, I have been using this phone for about a long time. I don't think it's a bad phone. Well, it's obviously worth the price, it contains almost all the features.

I supports themes, java games & even software's. It's a great phone. I have Nokia 6600, Nokia 7610.

I think these phones get hanged at some time. But there is no such problem for the 3110c. It runs smoothly! I love it!

I bought the phone last January 2008 & bought a 1 GB card soon after. I started to have problems with the phone. Sometimes it would just restart & at other times it would just shut down. Now after eight months, the phone has suddenly gone dead on me for no reason at all. Can somebody please help me.

Whilst the phone is a nice size & reasonably easy to use we have had 2 phones know & in both cases had problems with Blue tooth connection for people using blue tooth a lot, in fact I have tried 5 different Nokia models including the N73 & all seem to have quality problems with blue tooth & maintaining a clear connection. So far the best phones seem to be the Sony Ericsson's. Has anyone had similar problems, our ear pieces are all Jabra, this may or may not have something to do with it.

The phone is simply designed. It's not fully planned. The cost is OK but the phone is not worth the cost. I like this mobile because its mine. It hangs continuously. My disadvantage that I feel, the call feature on summary is not good. The camera clarity is very less during night time. Sorry to say this, I do not recommend this mobile to others.

It is good & best low rate phone in Nokia Series. I like this phone very much it having all features what a phone of today should have no problems with it at all to me. The only thing is that 3110 Classic (collaboration with classic) is Nokia Series.

Only bad defect is that the screen of the phone which reflects rainbow shades it means it's not as original Nokia phone screen (NOTE THIS POINT).

Otherwise good, overall I like it using it.

I chose this phone after losing my 6630. I deliberately went for a non 3G model as I'd found the 6630 slow & prone to software problems. But it's a case of from the frying pan into the fire.

The 3110 has had a tendency to restart when using email or Internet or when the battery gets low, but most of all when you have a memory card installed, when it goes into a permanent state of restarting until you take the card out.

As there is little internal memory, a card is essential for using the MP3 player, camera, video etc, but after trying two different brands of micro SD it's clear that this phone does not like them, so the music player, camera etc are rendered unusable.

Also there is no way to adjust screen brightness. I used to have my old phone on minimum brightness to conserve battery life but this phone doubles as a torch!

Very disappointing.

When I first bought this it was brilliant, good battery life & good features, but after 2 months it stopped working. Now I cannot use the memory card or use the Internet or my phone will restart. I tried to update the firmware but the Nokia website says there is no online support for this phone you have to go to a Nokia service centre. This is a horrible, life-wrecking, saddening, disgusting piece of plastic that Nokia has made. I had a Sony Ericsson for 3 years before that stopped working & I purchased this & this doesn't last 2 months. I hate Nokia & will never purchase anything from them again.

This is probably the best phone I've ever come across. Some people have said that the design is very ordinary & innovative, but its looks are probably the smartest & simplest.

It has a big keypad, & the phone is very fast in its functioning. The back has a velvety touch which feels very nice to hold (with the optimum weight of the set).

The camera is not very good, but does enough for Caller Images.

About the music, I don't know why someone said that the Nokia earphones are useless, I have no idea what they expect from a phone. The music quality is excellent in its own class, & the earphones are fairly comfortable & have a decent bass response.

The screen is good & fairly large. The buttons are sturdy, smart, responsive & lovable!

The only thing I didn't like about this set is that the loudspeaker isn't very loud! The ringtone is not very audible, & this becomes a bit of a problem when you are in crowded areas. About the design & placement of the speaker, I have no idea why they have placed it on the back of the phone (where the sound is always suppressed when the set is kept on a tabletop).

The battery backup is decent (not very good).

All in all, the set is a good buy for anyone. The amount of features it offers for its price is phenomenal!

Continuously restarting. If I remove the memory card & sim & start the mobile. It works. After I put the sim card & switch it off & I put the memory card it works. This problem occurs while I connect the gprs connection & download the jar applications.

MMC is up to 2GB available. But I have 512 MB. It is hanging while operating the mobile.

So, this phone is used for to make a call & receive a call, not used for store the images, ring tones & songs.

This is a basic phone for people who don't want a battery draining camera or MP3 player or diary system. It is cheap & reliable & an easy to use Nokia menu system that still beats other manufacturers. If you have had any of the old skool Nokia's this is the best to change to for the price. It does seem to have a software fault of restarting itself but luckily after switching it on & off a few times it sorted out problem & I have had this a while now & fault hasn't returned. I find the best thing is just to leave it switched on all the time & charge it while it is on. Hope this helps previous reviewer.

I have been waiting for a phone like this to come on the market for ages. The main thing I have been looking for is a keypad with good sized numerals & letters. I need to use glasses for other phones & have been stuck with a Nokia 3510i for ages, as it was the only phone with reasonable sized letters.

The phone is also fantastic value for money at £47 & free delivery from Dial a Phone. It has a good camera (1.3 mega pixels) & all the other features expected of a modern phone.

I cannot fault it. My advice is. BUY IT.

Good phone but hands up who else's screen has broken. It broke in my pocket. I've never owned a Nokia until now, I've had Sony Ericsson's that have lasted me 15 months & fault free, this breaks in two weeks. Also my Fiancée had a different Nokia that she had replaced no more than 3 times & the third one still broke. She now has a different phone & it's OK. The old Nokia's seemed to last forever what's happened? the new ones are like the fords of the phone world, everyone has one & regrets it because it keeps breaking down. It's going to cost me £20 for a new screen or £40 for the same phone again. Hmmm choices choices. Think I'll go back to my old one. Shame apart from that it was a well laid out user friendly phone.

No sooner than I got this phone home & switched on it went back in the box & back to the shop for a refund. Wow, the screen is tiny & the graphics quality shocking. Bought it PAYG to replace a lost contract phone but will stick to an old contract phone I have from 4 years ago the Nokia 6600 as even though it's old it is much better quality than this one. Can't comment for anything else as the screen quality meant I have ruled this phone out. However I must say the phone looks very nice for a cheap handset & it also has big keys which is a sensible design idea shame they crammed the navigation keys close together at the top.

Nokia 3110 classic has got some serious problems. When I bought the phone, I found out that there was a bug in the firmware or software. I couldn't set the alarm for PM for items like reminder, notes etc, neither it allows me to enter a time in 24 hour clock. One day I just tried the Reset Factory Settings option & guess what, it solved the alarm problem. It allowed me to set AM or PM, but, the on & off button on the top stopped working immediately. When the battery ran out & the phone switched off, I am not able to switch on the phone even after charging the battery fully. The ringtone volume is bad too. There are so many negative points people have posted in many forums too. This phone is not so good. Will not recommend to anyone.
