This was the first phone I had. At first It was brilliant, good sound, a memory card is a good feature to buy, looks good & eay to use. However recently every time I switch it on, it switches itself off, then on again, 3 times, ending with off. If I remove the memory card it works fine. I am using a SanDisk 2GB Micro SD. Can anyone help?

Man this phone is awesome phone. It has all the features of a modern phone. I have got a 2GB memory card & it's more than enough for me storing my MP3 files, videos & etc.

I was just blown away by the low price of it. But the only fault is the screen. It kind of gets scratched very often. Other than that it's almost perfect.

This is probably the best phone I've ever come across. Some people have said that the design is very ordinary & innovative, but its looks are probably the smartest & simplest.

It has a big keypad, & the phone is very fast in its functioning. The back has a velvety touch which feels very nice to hold (with the optimum weight of the set).

The camera is not very good, but does enough for Caller Images.

About the music, I don't know why someone said that the Nokia earphones are useless, I have no idea what they expect from a phone. The music quality is excellent in its own class, & the earphones are fairly comfortable & have a decent bass response.

The screen is good & fairly large. The buttons are sturdy, smart, responsive & lovable!

The only thing I didn't like about this set is that the loudspeaker isn't very loud! The ringtone is not very audible, & this becomes a bit of a problem when you are in crowded areas. About the design & placement of the speaker, I have no idea why they have placed it on the back of the phone (where the sound is always suppressed when the set is kept on a tabletop).

The battery backup is decent (not very good).

All in all, the set is a good buy for anyone. The amount of features it offers for its price is phenomenal!

For restart problem, while updating music library update to Firmware version 6.01 which is currently only at Nokia Care centres in your city. The new firmware is not available through Nokia software updater yet.
I use, 2 GB memory card & had the same problem which is resolved after updating to new firmware. Good Luck!

Continuously restarting. If I remove the memory card & sim & start the mobile. It works. After I put the sim card & switch it off & I put the memory card it works. This problem occurs while I connect the gprs connection & download the jar applications.

MMC is up to 2GB available. But I have 512 MB. It is hanging while operating the mobile.

So, this phone is used for to make a call & receive a call, not used for store the images, ring tones & songs.

Its better no one recommend this phone to others.

This is a basic phone for people who don't want a battery draining camera or MP3 player or diary system. It is cheap & reliable & an easy to use Nokia menu system that still beats other manufacturers. If you have had any of the old skool Nokia's this is the best to change to for the price. It does seem to have a software fault of restarting itself but luckily after switching it on & off a few times it sorted out problem & I have had this a while now & fault hasn't returned. I find the best thing is just to leave it switched on all the time & charge it while it is on. Hope this helps previous reviewer.

I have been waiting for a phone like this to come on the market for ages. The main thing I have been looking for is a keypad with good sized numerals & letters. I need to use glasses for other phones & have been stuck with a Nokia 3510i for ages, as it was the only phone with reasonable sized letters.

The phone is also fantastic value for money at £47 & free delivery from Dial a Phone. It has a good camera (1.3 mega pixels) & all the other features expected of a modern phone.

I cannot fault it. My advice is. BUY IT.

Good phone but hands up who else's screen has broken. It broke in my pocket. I've never owned a Nokia until now, I've had Sony Ericsson's that have lasted me 15 months & fault free, this breaks in two weeks. Also my Fiancée had a different Nokia that she had replaced no more than 3 times & the third one still broke. She now has a different phone & it's OK. The old Nokia's seemed to last forever what's happened? the new ones are like the fords of the phone world, everyone has one & regrets it because it keeps breaking down. It's going to cost me £20 for a new screen or £40 for the same phone again. Hmmm choices choices. Think I'll go back to my old one. Shame apart from that it was a well laid out user friendly phone.

I purchased this phone about 6 months ago & it was brilliant from day one. Having accidently dropped it down the toilet, I looked round for another phone with all the features that the Nokia 3110 Classic has, but I could not find one within my price range, so I purchased another.

You can enlarge the text if you have poor eyesight, listen to the radio, play games, play MP3's & a host of other things.

I am well pleased.

No sooner than I got this phone home & switched on it went back in the box & back to the shop for a refund. Wow, the screen is tiny & the graphics quality shocking. Bought it PAYG to replace a lost contract phone but will stick to an old contract phone I have from 4 years ago the Nokia 6600 as even though it's old it is much better quality than this one. Can't comment for anything else as the screen quality meant I have ruled this phone out. However I must say the phone looks very nice for a cheap handset & it also has big keys which is a sensible design idea shame they crammed the navigation keys close together at the top.

Why is it so difficult to find a mobile phone that is just good at being a mobile phone? I don't want it to do a zillion other battery draining things. This is the best example I have used since the 6310. Doesn't scratch in your pocket, doesn't run out of battery in a couple of days. Nice easy to press buttons.

Nokia 3110 classic has got some serious problems. When I bought the phone, I found out that there was a bug in the firmware or software. I couldn't set the alarm for PM for items like reminder, notes etc, neither it allows me to enter a time in 24 hour clock. One day I just tried the Reset Factory Settings option & guess what, it solved the alarm problem. It allowed me to set AM or PM, but, the on & off button on the top stopped working immediately. When the battery ran out & the phone switched off, I am not able to switch on the phone even after charging the battery fully. The ringtone volume is bad too. There are so many negative points people have posted in many forums too. This phone is not so good. Will not recommend to anyone.

After power on the phone often restarts several times & if the restarts exceed a certain number the phone switches complete off. The reason seems to be a problem with micro sd cards & music files on it. I had this problem with a 2GB sd card.

Sometimes it works fine after the power on & sometimes it shows the restart problems (the content of the sd card is unchanged). If I manually update the music library then there is a great chance to produce the restarts.

I will return the phone to the shop. Note, I use the latest software version V5.50.

I got this to replace my 8210, which I have had for 5 years, so it had a lot to live up to. I wanted a simple phone with a good battery life with features that were useful & didn't just get in the way. So far I am very happy with it!

The first 2 weeks I had it, it was just left on standby & I sent a few texts, as I was waiting for it to be unlocked, & it lasted the full 2 weeks on one charge. Over Christmas I played a LOT of games & music on it & made maybe an hour of calls on it & it lasted about 5 days.

It lives up to its CLASSIC title, as I had no problems using the menu & features after using nothing but my 8210 for 5 years.

Overall an affordable, durable, well designed, easy to use, simple phone with good battery life.

I bought this phone yesterday & I must say I am very pleased with it. It has everything I need. It looks way better live than in photos. It's very simple to work with (or wouldn't be a Nokia). The system is fast & responsive. It has thoughtful details (congrats Nokia). Camera isn't strong but even so, better than I thought it would be. Sound quality also impressed me. It's light & fits very well in the pocket. It's early for me to speak about the battery life but it seems to last long (as I expected). I've been playing a lot with the functionalities of the phone & battery is still full (& I had to write all my contacts to phone memory, by hand). Good screen too.

Before I decided to buy this phone, I was undecided into a Samsung D900i because of its size & weight. But because of its short battery life, I went to this phone. I think I made the right choice! The only con I noticed was the back rubber, that is cool, but seems to save fingerprints & with time maybe some marks of hand grease.

It has little memory too, but I didn't buy it to be a MP3 (since I got one). I'll buy a 256Mb or 512Mb memory card just to feel more comfortable. If you want a good, simple & functional phone with cheap price, & with great modern look. I recommend you Nokia 3110c!

This is the best feature packed phone the money can buy, it has many features that even some N-Series & its rivals from other brands don't (like the stereo FM & mini USB connector). I am using it for 5 months now, it works great except one thing, the speaker sounds low on level 4 & too high on level 5, this little problem was solved in the latest firmware V 5.5.

I can easily grant its design a full mark but the speaker position is not good, it would be much better if the speaker was on the right or left side of the phone, also the phone battery could not be charged through a USB cable like Motorola.

I like the idea of letting the user to update the phone firmware directly through the USB cable (I did that myself & updated it from the original 4.9 to the latest 5.5, & hey you will not lose any of your data in the phone's memory including the phone log data like the duration counters, data counters.)

One last word, if you are on a tight budget & you expect a lot from your phone, do not hesitate, go & buy yourself one.

I've been using this phone for the last two months & I must say that this is one of the best phones that Nokia has ever made yet. Being a user of Sony & Motorola, I wanted something different for a while & so I choose the Nokia 3110c. I must say it was a wise choice that I made. Not that I haven't used Nokia phones before, this one has hit the spot for users who wanted a perfect value for money phone.

The phone is extremely easy to use, one of the best OS to play around with. I have loaded (I literally mean it) my phone to its brim with themes, games, software & videos. One of the most amazing things that I liked about the phone is its ability to download large files using a GPRS. I've been able to download files that are over 5MB! Using the USB cable is another breeze in this phone. Its ability to connect to any PC without the software CD makes it an ultimate feature on the phone.

Coming to the camera on the phone, let's say it's just adequate. The music quality on the phone is pretty good, but the headsets are a big letdown as the rubber rings around the headsets tend to fall off quite often (I've lost one of the rubber rings).

But on the whole the phone is an ultimate entertainment unit for anyone hunting for a value for money mobile phone.

I have been using the phone for the past 5 months. Initially it looked a great phone with all the possible features in a budget price. However, the phone boots frequently, if you are using a 1GB on more memory card especially while changing the themes (If the themes are stored in the memory card). The FM Quality is very poor. I have a Nokia 6610i whose FM is far better than that of this one. Also, the stereo effect is hardly noticeable during FM operation even for stereo songs. The camera is useless at dark lights. Additionally, the music player sorts the music stored as per alphabetic orders & therefore you have to sort the song of your choice every time you intend to listen to your favourite music. The stereo widening effect is useless.

The good things are:
- It looks are great.
- the sound reception is good.
- It has a very good battery backup almost 3 days.
- It is easy to use as buttons are placed conveniently.
- It is a value for money phone at so many features at a good price.

It is very useful because of its functionality & features within a reasonable price. As it's a new phone there might have some software problem. I've faced some of them.

I use this phone as an edge modem connecting with my PC using data cable. Performance is awesome. But the problem is sometimes it disconnected. & sometimes it restarted. Although, it takes less than 1 second for restarting. But when it restarts I have to connect to the Internet again.

The design is perfect. Camera performance is just perfect. Phone accessing speed is very fast. But I think I should be 100% perfect if it got a large screen. A tiny screen doesn't math with this phone.

Overall performance is amazing.

The only problem I found was now Nokia has a smaller & more delicate charging sockets. They should have stuck to the older type for commonality & ruggedness.

Data cable is not in the package but then this is a standard USB data cable & not much of a hassle.

But for this value for money product

If you are looking for a phone with features like MP3, radio, camera, Bluetooth, & gprs with a budget price this is the phone you should go for.

Great phone for the price you pay 5800Rs.I bought it last month. Good day time photos, reasonable night photos if night mode is on. Snaps look better once you transfer to PC. Yahoo software preloaded makes logging on to yahoo mail & other yahoo services a breeze. Internet is fast. Voice clarity, Signal reception & ease of use of keypad excellent. Downloaded snake 3 from the Nokia site.

Greatest Advantages are:
- Voice recorder which can record for 1 hour (if you put in a good capacity SD card-I am using a 1GB card. But don't try to play it back through the speaker-best results if you copy it to the PC & hear it or, use the stereo head phones. Can record conversations during phone calls also, works best in this setting.
- Phone Book Memory of 2000, don't think any other phone in this price range has anything near.
- All the control buttons below the screen are customizable.
- PC sync with Outlook express was great.
- Can use as a memory stick via a mini USB adapter.

The only problems I am facing are:
- Inability to browse the net using the Nokia browser. It just says connecting I waited almost 5 minutes before giving up.
- Speaker phone in hands-free mode volume is too low-looks like a software bug as the speaker plays back MP3 songs at good volume.
- On accessing Gmail, the phone retrieves the oldest mail, not the latest! Peculiar. Any one has any solutions?

I bought this phone a month ago. It's really cheap & affordable for student like me. Design is cool, especially the keypad, cause it's the only Nokia phones with a large keypad on it. The interface is bad, maybe because of its price. If you want a nice phone, you should buy Sony Ericsson instead.

The big problem it's on the screen & the camera. The screen is bad, when I get pictures from other phones, the image looks blurred & poor quality, & it's really annoying, because it's looks great at other phones (previously I use N-gage, & the image its totally better than this phones).
Secondly, it's the camera. I only use the camera twice (I never use the video) & it's totally useless. Nokia, why don't you stop making 1.3 MP & start to make 2 MP instead?

Overall, it's a moderate phones, really suited for the tight budget. But if I had more money, I'd rather buy 6120 classic or Sony Ericsson.
