After reading all the (mixed) reviews I went & bought this phone from Carphone Warehouse. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I don't think you can get a better phone for that price (mine cost £29.95). Battery life is good if you remember to do the 16 hour charge at the beginning.

I bought this phone 4 days ago. I just love it. I bought it in the gold colour. It looks really different from all the others. It has a good sized keys, all the instructions in the manual are easy to understand & at least you get a whole book. My Samsung only had one sheet. My 8 year old son loves it, think I will have to get one for his birthday but different colour. The camera is excellent, so clear. My previous phone it took you all your time to see them. Radio is very clear & good sound. Haven't tried video yet, sure it will also be great. All features are colourful, exciting to use. The voicemail is very clear to listen to. This is my fifth mobile & by far the best. I usually spend too much time at the telly but since I got the phone NO TELLY. I am HAVING TOO MUCH FUN! I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone. My first phone was a Nokia, they really know what they are doing with mobiles. Buy one & I promise you won't be sorry. HAVE FUN. THANKS Nokia.

A neat & compact phone. The keypad is truly excellent & sets a standard for all other mobiles. The slightly raised & the illumination of the keys make the phone a delight to use.

Three suggestions if Nokia will take any notice.
- the volume of incoming phone talk needs to be raised.
- the option of a slide cover instead of a flap would be good as the flap makes it more difficult to operate with one hand.
- Upgrade the camera to a minimum of 3 Megapixels but preferably 5.

Does anyone else agree with me? From David.

This is a great phone. It's very light, & is very stylish.

The camera is VGA, so not brilliant but it's decent. The flap at the top is actually quite easy to take off, as is the back cover compared to my old Nokia 6230i.

The keys are really great to use, & are nice & big. There is even a hole for phone charms under the back cover.

This phone is almost perfect for me. It has decent sized text when messaging & is very easy to use. The camera isn't great but then if I want to take serious photos I'll use my camera. I have had 1 dropped call but don't even know if it was my phone or the other. It was good value for money & is even better than I had hoped.

This model is a fantastic product & really its value for money! One gets almost every basic feature in mobile communication (e.g. Calls, SMS & MMS, Radio, still images, video clips, Internet) here in this model under a very affordable price. GSM connection is also flawless (I am using MTNL Dolphin service) with this set & at least, I never got any disruption or call cut with this phone. Roaming is also trouble free with this phone.

I had been using a Motorola C139, which was a fantastic phone, however something went wrong with the battery. I sent my Motorola off for the warranty claim, & the Cellular One store talked me into purchasing this phone, the Nokia 2760. I was sceptical at first, & I should have trusted my instincts. Like many newer phones, this one can't hold charge for very long (about 3 to 4 hours of solid talk time). There is a rubber flap on the top of the phone which covers the phone's various input holes, & it is very difficult to move out of its place. I almost cut it off, but didn't for aesthetic purposes. This phone is really terrible when it comes to actually talking on it. The ring volume capabilities are good, however it is somewhat difficult to hear the person whom you are talking to, even on loudspeaker (compared to other phones). The worst part about this phone is the service. I have had no problems out of two other phones (Motorola C139 & a Nokia 6030) with getting good reception in my home, but recently with this phone no one has been able to hear me, they cannot get through to my phone (it goes straight to voicemail & I never hear it ring), & it is CONSTANTLY dropping my calls. It's extremely aggravating trying to talk to anyone using this phone, so much so that I have started using MSN instant messenger more to communicate with people. Save yourself the money & DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!

This phone was miss sold to me by the spotty faced youths in the UK O2 shop as being a quad band device I.e EGSM900, 1800 & GSM 850, 1900.

The Nokia website is also misleading as it shows as being 1900MHz capable. I would have spent a week out of contact whilst in the USA last week, if I had not also had my eight year old Nokia 6310 (Note best phone ever made! ).

My next stop will be (Hertfordshire) trading standards authority, a bit of court prosecution & fines should do the trick!

I've only had this phone a week or so. In general it seems to work OK. However there seems a problem with the battery indicator, as the phone just dies with a flat battery, although the indicator shows battery full until that time. Maybe I have just bought one with a fault on it. I am checking it again & then it is going back to the shop.

Recently I bought Nokia 2760. Here I want to tell you something about this mobile. I am working in Software Company in Mumbai, India. The Place where my office is situated is surrounded by very high buildings. The problem with my phone is that it is unable to catch the signal inside the office or even outside the office. The interesting thing is that colleagues working with me are using different handsets of Nokia & they are getting proper signal inside or outside the office. When there is any call on my mobile, the voice is always breaking & the phone is disconnected many times while talking. I am very much frustrated with this Nokia phone. Please do not purchase this phone.

I really like this phone, but it has at several design issues which make it difficult to customise. In particular, the front display (mini display) turns off after 15 seconds so you can't see the clock on the display any more. This is unfortunately type which has a much poorer performance because it relies on LED's to be viewable.

Another problem is that I have not found a way to disable the tone associated with service messages giving you your account balance. Consequently, after every call or text the service message plays your text tone. This means that you can't quietly send a text message without alerting everyone, which is a pity, because it is handy to have the balance on a PAYG phone. Your provider can only disable the whole message - not just the tone.

There may be other issues I have yet to find, but it is a good phone so far in many other respects - great at text composing after my struggles with Motorola V360. Just a pity to be let down by thoughtless firmware design.

Yea, as Madan Kumar said this voice problem persists only with Hutch Vodafone services. I have met Nokia Service guys, even those guys were facing same network-voice problem with Hutch connection. I have tried with other services like Airtel & others, there is no problem with those services.

Even Vodafone guys are arguing that there is no problem with their service! The question is: Whether the Vodafone service is not compact with Nokia 2760 or Nokia 2760 is not compact with Vodafone service!

- Signal catching is very poor. I kept three different models of Nokia with hutch connection for all. When I try to call each mobile, all mobiles except this model rings.

- If I get a ring, I start talking & in 2 to 3 seconds the person on the opposite end starts shouting hello hello (this is repeated for me continuously).

- If I make a call & if I am able to connect then again I am facing the same problem as case above. I found a work around for this problem. I.e. I need to switch off my mobile & start again & give a try. (I have taken care that my sim & battery are properly set). Only additional burden with this method is I need to call from some other mobile requesting the person to call me again.
- When I try to call someone it shows 'error in connection' message. This is not happening when I try to call simultaneously with other Nokia mobile (it is connecting).

I have read thoroughly all the instructions & followed them as given in Nokia booklet. In spite of this I have to face all this problems.

Imagine if you purchase a new car (can be any model) & the next hour you come to know all the problems with the car, the first thought that comes to your mind is to get rid of that car & no one ever wants to send a car for service for repair on the very first day. I found all these problems the next hour I purchased this model & I felt same as mentioned above.

I can understand that the technical problems can a raise in some models but not at the rate of having multiple problems with basic connectivity. I have spent my precious time to write these problems keeping in view that my opinion really does count! I can provide my mobile details also if you feel that I am writing this just to pass my time. Any one is most invited to test my mobile to verify whether my words are true. I am the luckiest person if some would give me a solution for these problems.

Since I have decided on a low price entry mobile & after two days of meticulous use, I can fully recommend this phone. For people like me who need reading glasses to see the contact names on other models, this mobile is a beauty. Huge font size on the screen, no need for glasses. FM radio to keep me company on the train, if you want capacity for MP3 songs, go & get a MP3 player. This is a mobile phone not a MP3 player. Be realistic. I am fully happy with it.

Why release a phone nowadays with only VGA camera, I can't see it flying of the shelves.
