Nokia 2650 Review

The Nokia 2650 is a very modern fold open mechanism mobile phone which comes in silver, brown or red colour casing. The opening mechanism is the same as the Nokia 2652 but the 2652 comes not only in different colours but with motifs on the casing. The 2650 is a very compact & stylish mobile phone with some very useful features. The phone comes with a good 4096 colour screen which has a 128 x 128 pixel high resolution.

The 2650 has a great phone book which can hold up to two hundred & fifty six contacts & each contact can have up to five entries each. The phone offers the user many features that allow the user to get organised which include a customised date & time screensaver, alarm clock complete with snooze functionality, calculator & a converter. The user can use the vCards feature to send & receive business cards to colleagues & family. The vCalendar notes feature allows the user to schedule meetings, view busy & free time in their diary.

The ringtones can be changed very easily with the Nokia 2650 & this allows the user to have a tone to suit their mood. The phone comes with polyphonic ringtones with up to four chords.

The messaging service can be great fun on the Nokia 2650 & it comes complete multimedia messaging service. Multimedia messaging (MMS) allows the user to send & receive messages complete with images, text input & MIDI audio sound. The text messaging service (SMS) comes with a flashing light indicator feature which flashes when an incoming SMS is made & this will surely get the users attention. The phone offers extra text message storage for up to fifty messages in the phones memory.

The Nokia 2650 XHTML browser over GPRS means that the user will only pay for what they actually download. The phone allows the user to download Java™ games & it is very user friendly which makes the 2650 such a fun phone to have at all times.

I love my phone, it is perfect to make calls & do texts! & that is all you need it for. I want to get another one but they are about four years out of date. They snigger when I ask in the phone shops. Take heed. This is a very good phone & I suggest Nokia make them again.

You can send & receive text messages from this phone, & make & receive calls. It is also cheap to buy, also fits snugly in your bag or pocket. What more do you need? You can use pay as you go with Orange which works out about a few pounds per month. It also has a flip top which means the screen stays unscratched from keys & coins.

I bought this phone 2 years ago & here is my experience with it. The interior rubber cover separated from the phone. The connection between the two parts is not functioning well, so the phone turns off when opening or closing it & sometimes asks to insert sim-card. It lacks all methods of connectivity; Bluetooth & infraraed. Very poor display. No MP3. No reason to buy it!

Hello. I really enjoy the phone, because of its capabilities, but sometimes the sim port usually go faulty, as a phone software installer, its makes it difficult for me, I repair the phone in many occasions & hope Nokia will do something about it, because I prefer Nokia phones than any other manufacturing company.

Your phones are very strong & durable. Thanks

This mobile wears off real easy. The rubber interior doesn't last long. Signal reception gets bad at times. Otherwise it's an OK phone.

Struggled enough with it for a year. Anyone going for it. My advice. Think a thousand times before getting one. You get a lot other ones at the same price range.

This phone is unique & cool & very easy to use! People nowadays are obsessed by things on mobiles such as bluetooth, cameras & radios but phones are designed to receive & make calls & texts! So thats why this one is cool....its basic but looks cool. 1 problem tho! It doesnt show caller ID unless the country code is there! Thats a bit annoying but we get over it!

I absolutely adore this phone!! So easy to use & very sleek!! People always comment on it! But I've lost it! Can anyone tell me where I can buy another one? I want the red one, my previous one I bought in Finland, & I've been searching for a red one here, but have had no luck! Any ideas?

This is the phone for me. It is a phone & only a phone & that is what adds to its appeal. It does not have the all singing all dancing top of the range features & that suits me. It is lovely to use & is very reliable. Got a red one & it looks really good...

I am really happy with my 2650, it has a clam shell opening which I wanted desperately on my phone. It has great messaging facilities which can be great fun sending the MMS messages to my friends & family. Use the calendar all the time & it much better than any other calendar I have had on a phone. The alarm clock is used every morning & never lets me down although I do use the snooze button a couple of times each morning. The overall look of this phone is very good & it feels super in my hand. Really pleased with the battery life & the overall reliability of the 2650. Great mobile.

Okay, but a bit of a budget phone. It is a good reliable phone but it is only a phone & not a lot more. Worth a look if you are not really wanting too much out of your next mobile.
