I bought this phone as I just needed one that was simple & easy to use.

A few issues I have.

- As someone already said there is no screensaver so it's hard to know if your phone is on or off.
- Another thing is that if you want to use an image of your own as a wallpaper, the quality is not very good.

Apart from that it's a great little phone.

I find this phone easy to use & the FM radio is much better than my old Nokia phone. It also feels a bit more substantial. My only complaint (& this may be because I don't know how to use it properly! ). I saved a picture of my son as wallpaper yet it was obscured by the time & date. I had to switch the time & date off just to see the picture! Also, whenever I get a call it just says call, so I don't know who is calling! Is there any way to show who's calling me? Am I being thick!?

Brilliant phone for the money. However it has poor memory I tried to Bluetooth 'across' music from my wife's phone but it has no memory to do this. What's the point? But other than this I cannot find fault. As I said great for the low price but looks much more expensive. Battery life is exceptional. The best I have experienced in a decade of frequent phone buying (at least 25). All in all great little phone.

Replaced my old Nokia which did not appreciate a washing machine cycle. Only £14.99 at Orange who also set it up. I use PAYG calls only & the economy for a light user is amazing.

I bought 2330 to replace old Nokia which showed time in standby mode so I knew it was switched on. The 2330 shows a blank screen after a call or message (Orange shop said is a screen saver) so I don't know if it is switched on or not. Any suggestions on how I can get something on screen while phone is on standby please?

The above report is incorrect you CANNOT use a USB cable on this phone as I have just found out to my cost so my pictures are stuck on it unless I spend more money on setting up Bluetooth. Opening the covers on the charging part & the rear for the battery are a nightmare & take ages or you will break them. Even though I am a light user after 4 months it is chipping by itself. The manual is very poor & gives little info. Inside buildings you can struggle to get a signal.

Yes it's easy to make a call but the advanced functions can be difficult to operate.

Really annoyed as there is a USB slot but apparently that is only for the Nokia Service Dept which isn't clearly stated anywhere but on Internet forums.

I wouldn't have one again.

The phone itself is good but the key pad isn't so good & the body chips easily. The Internet does not work & I don't know how to stop the package data not available to stop coming up. The games are OK. So if want a good reliable phone that does not cost much, it will be great for you.

I think it will also be great for first time phone buyers.

I needed a phone with Bluetooth & didn't want to spend a lot of money as the phone I was using was working well. Price was a big factor as I am not into expensive phones & just needed to text & speak. My daughter, who is into expensive & all singing & dancing phones, laughed at the price (£19.99 PAYG, Carphone Warehouse) but immediately fell in love with it when she saw it in the flesh. It is slim, neatly sized & looks expensive. It does what it says on the tin, easy texting & clear signal when talking.

Honestly, if you want a nice looking phone that does nothing more than texting & speaking you can't go wrong.

I bought this phone yesterday as it was the smallest I could find & a lot of features for the price (£30) & I guess fairly hardwearing owing to the metal keypad. The fact it has a camera doesn't bother me as all I want is to be able to text & occasionally phone. I haven't as yet used it owing to the fact I am unable to remove the back to charge the battery. Having pressed the release button I could just managed to lever up the top end a few millimetres & I am reluctant to force it too much in case I break it. Compared to all the phones I've had before the back cover is very flimsy. After reading a couple of the reviews here regarding the same problem, I shall now attempt to lever the whole back away from the phone. All the phones I owned previously had a click & slide back, but this is an awkward one. There's no indication in the manual as to how to actually remove, 'press the release button & remove the back cover', not even on the diagram, very poor. Average ratings given as I just gave them in order to submit this, & not used it yet! Of course the phone's lightweight is partly due to the fact the back is made of light plastic I suppose. One other thing, I am hoping is not going to be the case, is the fact that someone I know has one of these & have said that they are unable to send or receive picture messages. Has anyone else had that problem?

I bought this phone as it was cheap & has good design. Overall it is a decent phone at this price. Battery is good, lasts long. GPRS is pathetically slow, applications are slow on this phone takes a long time for almost everything.

But anyone who is looking for a decent phone where he just needs a phone without many features this is it.

Yes, this phone looks great. But the sound quality is rubbish. By 'sound' I don't mean downloading songs. I mean simply listening to someone talk on the other end of the line, the primary purpose of a mobile phone. It sounds tinny, scratchy, rubbish & this is compared to my previous phone, which was prehistoric (okay, 10 years old). & you will sound tinny, scratchy, rubbish to the other person too.

Basically an okay phone for a 'I am outside the library, pick me up' exchange, but not an actual conversation. If you don't believe, me see if you can try it in the shop. But of course, that's not easy to do.

This is a brilliant phone for the money. It does exactly what I want & also does more but I haven't found my way around all the features yet. For the younger person who wants a phone do a million things then this is probably not ideal but for phoning & texting I think it's great value for money.

Hey, I brought this phone for my dad for Christmas which is ideal. Nokia's are simple to use, as we all know the older generation find technology quite confusing.

The design & feel of the phone is amazing for only £20 & looks more expensive than it is.

However the screen colours & logos aren't very good. The logos are boxy & are not neat.

Other than that the phone is well worth £20 & is a great buy for the older user.

A bargain phone at £30 from Carphone Warehouse & with regards to removing the back cover to fit the battery & SIM its easy, as it says on the box press down where it says & prise the sides open with your finger nail or something very thin hey presto open! The phone won't appeal to the young Brits but you cannot please everyone! A well made middle of the road phone, as for the camera not bothered as I own two Nikons the rest of the features are well thought out & easy to use. Finally, a middle of the road phone for a middle of the road person what more can you get from £30.

Having read all the good reviews, I went out to buy another Nokia as my present one is playing up, despite full battery, phone kept cutting off. Only wanted a basic phone for calling & texting. Had problem trying to open the back cover to install battery, SIM etc. Took it back to Tesco to swap as I thought it was just a faulty one but the unfriendly staff claimed that was the way it was designed. Well I own a Nokia & haven't had that problem with mine. I took more than 10 minutes trying to prise the back cover off (as did my hubby & the Tesco staff).

Has anyone had the same problem please as I am still keen on it?

Please ignore usability rating as I haven't even had the chance to try the phone & sending it back. Had to put something otherwise can't submit.

This phone is relatively cheap, light, slim & has excellent battery life.

In terms of connectivity to the PC, it only has Bluetooth.

Its S40 OS is a tad slow compared to more featured S40 phones like the 3120 classic.

The camera is nothing to talk about.

It makes for a great backup phone although it could be a bit too light on features for most people.

Best option for the one who don't like to hold costly gadget as phone in their hand & still need all the classic features.

Being slim this phone is almost equal to lowest model in battery life. FM recording option makes it superior than 2660 & 2630.

The model is sleek & stylish to handle.
