Good no frills phone for a low price, but user manual doesn't say security code (12345). A great mystery how to set the phone volume level? Not the ringtone, but the hearing level during call? No information in the user manual. Again!

OK guyz. Look. Were talking about low range phones here OK? Don't expect it to be a top of the line phone.

Basic. What do you mean by basic? Hmm. It means that it can only do simple things.

If you guys are getting annoyed about setting the time again after you've put the battery in. OK this is how to prevent it. When you have set the time & you wanted to take out the battery & want to put it again, do it fast. That's all you have got to do.

I love this phone! Bought it yesterday for 35 euro, & believe me it was not a waste. This little baby has great ringtones, cool radio, & way more. I love the flashlight too.

If you are really into phones & want all the features in the world on it, then don't get this phone!

But if you just need a phone at a low price, this is the phone for you. The only thing I don't understand is how to get to the voice recorder. Could someone please explain this to me? But great job Nokia!

Nokia featuring 1650 existing many more features & look that attracts you all the way. If you are thinking of changing handset then this is the better one for your gossip. Nokia 1650, mobile having useable feature & if you have less budget & you want a phone having FM as well as colour screen then you go for this model. The handset has beautiful dimension of 102 x 44 x 17.5mm & having weight of 77g. However when it comes to SMS & handling, the keypads are very good at all. Network connection of the phone GSM Dual band EGSM 900 & 1800 MHz keeps you always in touch with your operator & relatives & friends. Also handset has 65, 536 colours, 128 x 160 pixels CTSN display of screen which gives you the best view of your text messaging & themes. Other basic features included in the handset are MP3 grade, 32 chord polyphonic MIDI ringing tones, MS, picture messaging, SMS distribution list, Calculator, Spreadsheet, Convertor, Calendar, Organizer, Reminders, Integrated hands-free loud speaker, Time Tracker, Call Duration Log & many more. Fantastic battery backup of this Nokia handset is of 8 hours of talk time or 17.5 day standby time. Its inbox can hold up to 250 messages & come already with preloaded games which include snake xenia, beach rally & soccer league game which is a fun selection of games for the user to enjoy in their free time.

I would only recommend this phone to anyone looking for a temporary phone, or people who are only going to use it for calling or occasional texts. In which case, it's good value for money. If you intend to text frequently, buy a different phone. Seriously, the rubber keypad is simply awful, it's impossible to text quickly without hitting the wrong button by accident. & I didn't find a way to turn off predictive text by default, which was also rather annoying. No camera, no Bluetooth, no music player, no memory card, nothing. The only feature besides calling & texting that might be remotely considered useful is the torch.

Value for money best symbolised by this Nokia wonder!

Radio is good. Headsets are fine. But I think extra rubber rings should be given.

If you compare with Nokia 1600 added features
- Bigger display.
- Radio.
- Headsets.
- Better games.
- Better ringtones.
- Calendar.
- Spreadsheet.
- Torchlight.
- More than double the inbox message capacity.
- Larger memory.

Frequent messaging people excuse as the rubber pad is not very friendly for typing rapid messages, but is still manageable! Not a point to reject the little wonder!

All in all a wonderful handset!

Hi all the Users of Nokia 1650. Could someone tell me please, which other phone has also the torch & flashlight & FM radio both the functions at a time because I am very annoyed due to the following flaws of Nokia 1650. So I want to replace my phone against this Nokia's model that I am already using from the last 14 months & so. Therefore kindly suggest a different mobile device ASAP.

DRAWBACKS, FLAWS & TECHNICAL FAULTS of Nokia 1650.

- Very bad & dreadful Keypad's buttons setting that interrupts to type a fluent text message.
- Poor quality of FM Radio reception specially indoor's response is so deprived.
- the sound of the Ringtones are very low, particularly the composed tones are extremely stumpy.
- Absence of SMS storage meter, so the users can't detect & watch the numbers of stored messages inside the Inbox, Sent & Drafts items folder, either in Phone memory or a SIM memory.
- Assigned numerical values for the Contents of Menu & sub menus are missing. For example if any end user does press 1 or 2 or 3 & 8 or 9 after pressing the menu key, could not browse the desire location directly.
- Where the 8MB memory does exist in Nokia 1650 & how could we utilize this utility?
- the back light timing is required in form of Time duration (I.e. Mm:ss) neither in the pattern of (Normal, Extended, Off) time periods.
- We can fix only ten reminders in the dates of calendar & user can not view their assigned schedules with Date & Time individually as well.
- User can fix the Time tracker only above than 30 seconds not less than 29 seconds.
- the installation of torch & flashlight is also faulty because if we open the front cover of this cell-phone the Torch light is not exactly in the central position that is why consumer could not utilize the full advantage of this function so some adjustment in this regard is also required.

Thanks & best regards!

Just bought this phone today for £20. It's an excellent phone. Some people were expecting to have Internet or a way of downloading ringtones etc. What do you expect for this sort of money. I didn't even expect a radio at that price. I just wish there was some way of increasing the volume from the headset. If you want Internet on a phone then save up. You don't buy a mini & expect it to be like a Ferrari.

AN ASSESSMENT (Advantages & Disadvantages) IN the VIEW OF Nokia 1650 ASPECTS.

Pros, (should be realized & appreciate the following existing features in Nokia 1650).

- Very useful & essential features are available with a reasonable Low price tagged.
- Big & bright colour screen, good battery backup (standby & talk time), FM radio & a torch flash light makes this mobile phone very handy to a normal end user.
- Nokia is such a reliable & a trusted brand but beside this low price tagged, Nokia 1650 budget mobile phone looks like a precious & good looking handset.
- An excellent & clear call-reception, good quality built in hands-free, fine vibration alert, sufficient memory space for Contacts numbers & SMS messages as well.

Cons, (should be modified & recover the following existing flaws & absent features in Nokia 1650).

- Bad Keypad's buttons setting that interrupts in texting flouncy.
- Poor quality of FM Radio reception.
- Very Low sound of the Ringtones.
- Absence of SMS storage meter.
- Assigned numerical values for the Contents of Menu & sub menus are missing.

Any remark should be appreciated regarding the above noted comments for Nokia 1650.

YES, I do agree that the Nokia1650 mobile phone is not a bad choice but Nokia have to improve & modify with this Budget phone handset technology regarding its FM reception, Ringtone loudness, SMS capacity display, Assigned Numerical values for the Menu & their sub menu, & specially with the inconvenient Keypads setting which gives us always a difficulty to type the messages.

- Bad Keypad's buttons setting that interrupts in texting flouncy.
- Poor quality of FM-Radio reception.
- Very Low sound of the Ringtones.
- Absence of SMS storage meter.
- Assigned numerical values for the Contents of Menu & sub menus are missing.

Except all the above mentioned issues other stuffs are OK & fine. As the matter of fact this is an elementary Mobile Phone where the End User does not need to play with GPRS or Downloads the data inside this simple & Low cost tagged phone.

So please Nokia give an instant attention & take some immediate actions to eliminate the above mentioned Genuine Problems ASAP, if possible in the next mobile phone version I.e. Nokia 1690 or Nokia 1700 etc. Remember please that the Handy Features I.e. Torch, flash light & FM radio are required indeed in the upcoming models with some additional features as well.

Thanks & best regards!

Nice Phone every thing is fine. But I don't understand one thing that even if I select sim memory to be used it still shows all the contacts from phone & sim memory together. Don't know what is wrong. But the price is OK only 1800 I paid.

This is the best Nokia phone that l have used. I like the design, Theme personalising & the FM radio for just a price of R600, it's great.

I bought this phone last week, it is very nice & neat though it's not the best feature wise because it doesn't have camera & features like sms ringtone etc but at its price (7500 Sri Lanka Rupeesor 75$) it's worth it. The good quality large colour display is the envy of my friends.

I am looking to buy this phone. The ringtone sounds little low but for the price it is cool. Here it priced at 2050 rs. & for that price I think we should compromise.

Excellent entry level no frills phone though battery power might be suspect. Still went for 3 days without charge & about 3 hours of talk time. Highly recommended.

I got this phone one day back. Phone is good. But key pad is not as expected. It's really tough to type message on this keypad. I can say Nokia 1100 was far better than this. Design is good. Screen is big. I am having one 3110-classic. In specification both screen are same but after comparing it both I found 3110-classic screen is far much better than this.

As price performance ratio I give this phone 80% from my side. Regarding battery backup. It will take some time to judge me the exact backup by this phone. So update you latter.

This phone seems to be great. As we already know about Nokia that they know how to lead in mobile market. Too good & awesome phone for low-end phone section. Anyone having information when this phone will be available in India. I am waiting for this :-)
