I just read that this phone costs 9 pounds (about FjD$30) & in Fiji Vodafone sells it for more then $160 thats about 53 pounds. Good on you Vodafone. :)

I lost my Nokia by the river while fishing last year, my boyfriend's nephew found it about 3 months later. It lived through all kinds of weather. He gave it back to me, I charged it up & got rid of my new Samsung picture phone & Nokia lives. Love the phone, best reception I've seen on any phone.

The phone is the best phone because it is easy to handle, use, understand, & has many superb features including flashlight.

The girlfriend wanted a new phone, I think hoping for something fancy. I got her a Nokia 1200, & she is very happy with it. So much so that she got me one when she decided that the battery on my old phone (also Nokia) was going flat too quickly for her liking, putting me out of contact.
Actually the frequently flat battery suited me just fine.
Still the 1200 does have some useful features, light weight, clearer sound, the torch, the analogue clock & the date to name some.
What I do not like most about it is that the keyboard is too small for my fingers, but that seems to be true of just about all phones these days. It is a bit of an issue, I tend to text more than talk.
The other thing I dislike is the mostly musical ringtones which I detest. I settled for the bullfrog as the least intrusive, but I preferred the chirrup I used on my old phone.

Fantastic battery life! I had to get an Orange SIM phone because Vodafone reception was no good in my new job. So I got this phone. My main communication is email & desk phone, so I just needed a cheap mobile, & camera phones are generally barred for security reasons. So this phone was all I needed. Small in size & weight, but buttons are sized OK. I can look around me for prettiness & colours. I just need a phone! Strongly recommended.

Good for someone who would only want to do things a phone can do & not fancy things but for the younger users no!

When I started at my new job they bought me an HP IPAQ 514 providing me with PDA facilities, Internet, email, etc, etc. My view is that one would need an honours degree from Cambridge in electronics to work this phone. It went straight back to its box & went out & bought the 1200.
What a difference! All I want in a phone is to send messages & answer calls & the 1200 suits me just fine. My first phone was the Siemens M35 & I also hated Nokia with a passion. Not so now. The 1200 emulates the M35 & the only feature missing on the 1200 is a feature which switches off the phone automatically at a time pre-selected by the user (hence the 95%). Apart from that, it's perfect.

Great battery life, excellent torch, all the functionality you NEED from a mobile, intuitive & quick to boot up, etc. If you want a no nonsense phone at an almost throwaway price, this is it.

Perfect small phone. Great for taking on holiday & using with a local SIM card. Great for a child or older person. Great for a second phone. Great for someone who just wants a cheap phone for occasional use.

Strangely that it comes with such a small User Guide. Actually, from it I got to know that the phone has a flashlight, & about Authenticate hologram, but there is very little information & I couldn't find that there is a more detailed manual around in the Internet. What helps me, I have a manual for my old 3310 & that much can be guessed & discovered intuitively.

Nokia 1200, an unacceptable mistake! I've got a Nokia 1200 for 2 days, I restored the factory setting. Then log in the SETTING & PROFILE, personalized the name of the profile MY STYLE & (my name). Then I selected the applications that would appear in the GO TO & return to the main screen. If we log in the Go to & choose any application, the 1200 will automatically shut down & restart. I've tried with 7 phones & things happen in the same way!

Pros. Flashlight, Time Tracker, battery backup.
Cons. Bad things are there is no Soulful Ring tone (1110 has), Not showing all lines of calendar, flashlight doesn't have focus, Menu System is too cheap, No speaking Alarm (1110 has) & No talking clock (1110 has).

Fantastic battery life, even better than the 1100. I was surprised to see that the operating system is a significant re-vamp of the one that's been pretty much unchanged from the early 3310 right through to the recent 1100. I got my phone off eBay as it's not out in the UK yet, & there are some significant bugs in the software which will probably be ironed out by the time it's released officially. Notably that if you're getting a call from an anonymous or withheld number it doesn't display that but rather displays the number of the last person who called you. Also notice it doesn't work with my Nokia 1100 headset which presumably should considering it's the same jack socket. Apart from that I am well pleased with it & highly recommend it to those who just want a reliable call-&-text phone.

This phone is an improvement of its predecessor the Nokia 1100. The construction is not as sturdy as the 1100 but it'll survive a reasonable rough handling. Just don't submerge it underwater because it's not water resistant. The flashlight is much brighter than the 1100 & I am glad that Nokia has added a loudspeaker feature & a calendar. I only wished that Nokia should also have added a voice recorder for those times that the consumer needs to make quick notes using voice dictation method. That's a very handy feature you see.
The phone is small, compact & very easy to use. This is the type of phone best suited to those who prefer a no non sense phone with all those bells & whistles. It is a perfect phone for texting & making & receiving calls.
Overall, I think it is a worthy successor to the old time best selling Nokia 1100.

Really a rock Nokia 'basic phone'! It is just like the reproduction of Nokia 8210 but what better is the long lasting battery life. I don't need to charge it for 4 days with about 10mins conversation every day! However, I am still not happy 1200 doesn't have the traditional 'ring ring' tone as built-in the 8210.

This is what I need, a good battery for texting & calls. Thanks Nokia for a SUPERB phone. The Nokia 1200 is now available in the Philippines (texting capital of the world) & it is slightly expensive than that of the Nokia 1112. Grab one now!
