Having owned the X6 for a short time I am no expert on it just yet.

I read two reviews below from Tony from UK & Paul from UK & would like to add that the phone can be slow at times but then I am expecting it to jump through hoops as I am a heavy user who flips from one application to another & expects instant response, well quicker than instant actually. All in all this is a great Smartphone & has no major flaws to mention, a well priced Nokia Smartphone I would say.

If you are considering buying the X6, just make sure you know what features 7 application it comes with before being swayed by others, too many people buy a phone the complain it does have 3G or Wi-Fi or a decent camera, happy shopping guys. Read a few reviews too, it will help you make the right choice.

I got this phone with trepidation as I am not that brilliant with mobiles but am pleasantly surprised at just how easy it is to use, after a quick flick through the manual I was up & running! The touch screen is very responsive & large enough even for the biggest fingers (other touch phones I've used have been too small & it has taken long times to send texts), it can be operated with one hand easily & it is easy to navigate through the menu's (something I've had problems with before). The camera takes fantastic, sharp pictures even in poor light.

Overall a smart looking phone & my only complaint is the cheap casing which ruins the look of this marvellous phone. I thoroughly recommend it even to those with limited knowledge of mobiles.

Great phone but after 5 months, a few annoyances.

Nokia please put the antenna on the tops of your phones in future, not on the base where you want to hold it. Drains the signal, not good in poor areas, & therefore also the battery life unnecessarily. If you use this device in landscape mode or just hold it by its edges you'll have more than twice the number of signal bars available!

It can be frustratingly slow at time but seems to sort itself out. Not sure what it's doing when it does, it can take a few days before its back to its normal self. I think it may have something to do with applications you install. Be careful to only get ones approved for the X6. Get other Symbian stuff for similar phones & it may cause issues.

It's no match for an iPhone or android phone in terms of applications & processor power. Beats iPhone on camera though & web browsing using opera mini is speedy & enjoyable. If that doesn't work, the built in web browser is slower but has better support for more complicated sites.

Don't run too many applications at once. I like the GPS too, though sometimes it has been a bit slow on newer version of ovi maps. Google maps is much quicker but it will download on the fly so ensure you have a good amount of cheap Internet access on your contract or pay as you go bundle if you want to use it.

Proving to be the best Smartphone ever owned. Got it free on a new contract, I was waiting for a Nokia Smartphone of this calibre for too long but at least I got there in the end. I could be picky & moan about response time etc etc but in all honesty this is a great Smartphone & there is not a perfect phone out there, but in my experience this has to be one of the best.

I have to agree with the reviewer below, Paul from the UK, this Smartphone can be a little slow due to Symbian but software but it is a massive improvement on many Smartphone's I have had the pleasure & not so much pleasure of using. X6 is a great Nokia Smartphone which I would most definitely recommend, I am enjoying this phone for all my business dealings which is nonstop at the moment, so thumbs up to Nokia, a huge improvement.

This is more of a question than a review which I'll do later as I just got my phone. Can someone please advice if I can connect this phone to ANY Bluetooth headset & also, do the blue lines at the top & bottom light up or are they just coloured blue?

The Nokia X6 is a big improvement on the Nokia 5800. At first there may not seem to be much between them, but in practice the small differences add up.

The X6 comes with a capacitive screen which is so much more responsive, & as its glass it looks amazing, the resolution & detail are at least as good as an iPhone. I picked this up for the 1st time in a shop & went wow. I'd been trying the Nokia N97 before hand, which I liked, but this seemed better.

Another improvement on the 5800 is the camera (it needed to be improved, the 5800 was terrible in low light) which is now 5 megapixels & has a much better sensor. It'll cope indoors better than most phones. Much better for video now too, supporting 30fps at 640x480. More than enough for most uses of a phone.

Music is well catered for with an excellent music player that has a great way of selecting albums. Easier than iPhone. In fact it terms of music this has got the iPhone beaten. On many tariffs it comes with Nokia's comes with music. This allows a year's worth of music downloads at no extra cost. & you can use them on one PC too. Sound quality is surprisingly good. I mean it's not going to be a high end CD player, but run this into my hifi & the experience is certainly a listenable one, as good as iTunes downloads.

Browsing is also pretty good although not great, iPhone wins here. Symbian browser can be fiddly & slow on some websites. Better than most phones but not up to safari on iPhone. When opera launches a mini that works properly with touch (the current one is buggy with touch), then it'll probably be as good with advantage of compressing images to suit the phone screen speeding up browsing if not using Wi-Fi.

Reception, call quality, & text messaging facilities are excellent & even better this phone now comes with a proper email browser.

Downsides. The processor is a bit slow. Scrolling down emails, running multiple apps & doing a lot at once such as playing a song & browsing the web with email app running in background will slow the phone down. It's like running windows with the computer on battery saving mode.

Doesn't quite feel smooth. It does if you have less stuff running. These bugs are more limitations of Symbian. Firmware updates should hopefully help get the full potential out of the phone.
