I wrote a glowing review of this phone shortly after I got it. Well, I would now like to apologise for that review, having had the phone for a year, I cannot wait until next January when I can upgrade out of the mess that is Nokia.

I previously had the 5800 Xpress Music, & I thought this was an upgrade from it, better camera, QWERTY, etc. Sadly, it wasn't - due to Nokia's inability to give a damn about their products & customers, many of the useful apps on the 5800 don't work on the C6. I am talking about the BBC iPlayer & Sky Plus remote programmer, so those are quite major omissions. I've contacted Nokia through Twitter, & I got some lame nonsense back about screen resolution, they just weren't interested.

The Ovi App store is an absolute joke, I've done my best to find something even remotely interesting on there & largely drawn a blank. Ovi Maps are good, in fact, they were one of the major factors that led me to choose this phone, along with the keyboard (which has since cracked & won't be replaced under warranty).

I've had Nokia's for years - the 6300 is probably the best phone I've ever owned. The 5800 was okay, but should have been a warning. The Nokia C6 was the last straw. I've had two phones from Nokia on the basis of the superb quality of their old phones - well, that quality is well & truly gone.

So here is my new & proper review. Put down the Nokia C6 & get yourself an Android phone instead. I could have got an HTC Desire at the time, but I plumped for Nokia, a decision I have bitterly regretted for months. I shall be getting a Sensation or Galaxy S2 on my next upgrade & waving goodbye to the shambles that is Nokia forever. It'll be with some regret as their old phones were just SO good, but you can't live on past glories. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

This is the worst mobile phone I have ever had. I am onto my 4th handset (yes 4th) & every one of them have the same faults.

- Freezing when checking emails then need to turn it off.
- Continually dumping running apps.
- Screen pixelating along the top (landscape) or down the right hand side of screen (portrait) & then restarting (this is the most common problem).
- Not alerting you when you receive a text or call as it's froze for hrs before you notice.

Credit to Vodafone who are sending me out a new phone model now & have been very good throughout this 2 months of C6 ownership.

The camera is good however.

I got this phone as an upgrade from my 5800. I didn't want to go back to a button phone, but I wasn't overly happy with using a touch screen keyboard. This little beauty solves both problems. The keyboard is an absolute delight. I found it very easy to use & get used to. The phone itself is excellent, it has all the usual great Nokia features, including the free sat nav. One slight criticism I have is that scrolling through photos can be a little hit & miss as the touch screen doesn't always respond how you think it will. Other than that, it's a beautiful looking phone & feels very solid in the hand. It has enough features for gadget freaks, but may not be the ideal phone for a beginner unless you're prepared to get stuck in & really investigate what a phone can do. If you're upgrading from a 5800, the C6 fits the carry case perfectly! Whatever you're upgrading from, you should definitely give this phone your consideration, it is another winner from Nokia.

What a little beauty, easy to use with or without the keyboard. My last 2 phones were touch only, but back to the old school keyboard has made me realise I want both. If I could change one thing, I would make it more metal, but other than that 9.5 out of 10. More metal & it's a 10 from me!
