I loved this phone when I bought it, but 3 months after it was bought it started to freeze, & it has continued ever since. After a further 3 months down the line it is obvious that the phone cannot cope with more regular use & you need to keep a very close on the memory.

Now, I cannot switch off my phone without it freezing & then breaking when I turn it on, very frustrating.

I just bought Nokia C3 golden white for around one week. I find the design of the keypad colour (golden white) & lighting are very bad under the sun & light. I have great difficulty to see or read the keypad as there's reflection. As the keypad light is on automatically once I start typing. To be sure whether it was my eye sight problem, I requested 7 other people to test this phone on this problem. All of them found the same difficulties. This keypad is very good during night & under the dark. I feel that the designer should not design it in this manner that's just good for night use & under the dark. Any user experience the same problem in using this golden white Nokia C3? Hope to receive some comments before I make a complaint to the manufacturer.

Is this is the best Nokia now has to offer?

Had this phone for a month but found it was very buggy, I needed something for email & according to the Nokia site it was a good choice but sadly that's where it all ends, the phone would not always connect to check mail & a lot of the time I had to reboot it to do this, I tried reloading the software without any luck, other features on the phone are OK, although the opera browser can sometimes be painfully slow even when connected via Wi-Fi, the hands-free earphones supplied are cheap an tinny & there is also no USB cable supplied, charging is still done using a dedicated charger & I was surprised with this being a latest release that it was not designed to charge via USB.

Don't expect this to be like the E71, E72 or E63 as it does not have the features or power of its big cousins, for me it was rather a letdown in both features & operating system, the keyboard even feels cheap & tacky.

Perhaps Nokia will iron out the email problems & add better features in future updates, but for me it's time to move on.

My original opinion of the C3 was high, easy to use, & well made however after just a month I had problems with it. The phone started to freeze & this included the clock meaning my alarm didn't go off! Also several times after making a call I couldn't hang up & had to remove the battery.

While this is a good looking phone it lacks the features of others, such as the ability to upload photos directly to Facebook only giving you the option of Flickr!

Overall I think this is a good budget buy but the camera is very poor & not really for me. After just a month I have given this phone to my daughter. Not very impressed & not Nokia's usual standard.

I am in love with this phone I just got for Christmas, its £20 each month for 2 years (got Xbox with it for little brother) my dad wanted to get me a reliable phone because I have to keep it for 2 years. I would recommend Nokia phones because the manufacturer is reliable I didn't want to get a Blackberry or something because my mum had the Blackberry pearl & she says it rubbish.

I WOULD recommend THIS PHONE.

The things wrong with the phone is I wish there were nicer colour models you could choose from because the pink & the gold & white one are utterly repulsive LOL.

I purchased a C3 a few weeks ago as I wanted a phone with a QWERTY keyboard & Wi-Fi. I had no problem connecting to my WLAN at home & the e-mail worked just fine but whatever I did the phone would not connect through my Wi-Fi to the Internet & I was being charged by my provider each time I connected as I was on pay & go. Several visits back to the shop & lengthy phone calls to Nokia finally found that the software on my phone was out of date & would not support a Wi-Fi Internet connection. I had version 04.45 & I should have had version 04.60. I had to download this new version, be warned as the phone then reverts to its factory settings, only to find that my email no longer worked. More calls to Nokia. I had to delete my email account & then reinstate it. After a very long, aggravating & lengthy process the phone finally connected through my Wi-Fi to the Internet. I have complained to my provider & also to Nokia (awaiting reply). If you are going to buy one of these phones & want to use Wi-Fi, check the software version on the box before you purchase. Now it appears to be working it is fine. It is certainly not particularly sophisticated but it now does what I want it to do. The email formatting is fairly poor but it suffices. For the not very technical (like myself) this phone does suit. The camera is pretty poor with indoor shots as it does not have a flash but I have not tried it yet in daylight. For the price it does have reasonable features as the next step up for me would be a Blackberry which is twice the price.

I love this phone. Excellent value too! Got mine for £70 from Vodafone including £10 phone credit. Just a note for Sabi re saving text message drafts: there is a way round this. Write your text message in a Note (go to Applications, then Notes) which you can save & later edit if you need to, when ready go back to the note press 'options' & 'send as message'!

Great phone, basic & easy to use, long battery life, if using on Vodafone be aware there is a software problem where the Wi-Fi is concerned, it doesn't work! Check this out on Vodafone Forum, wish I had. They are hoping to fix it soon however.

What drew me to this phone was the WiFi, & the blackberry look.

The screen is OK, but I am used to something slightly sharper. When the phone open & closes application, this is also slower than what I am used too. But this is reflected in the price. Looking at the cost of the unit, then the price for the phone is fair.

The keyboard is easy to navigate & use, something which I was wary about beforehand.

However, this phone has WLAN issues. I got mine from Vodafone UK. But having now read several post on the Internet is seem the c3 firmware has issues with some units & operators branded software. Despite having my WiFi connected, the C3 insisted using the mobile web connection for the Internet. On the few occasions I did get the WiFi to connect it would last no longer than twenty seconds & switch to mobile web without telling me. This could be costly.

Again from reading forums on the Internet, phones which are unbranded or have had the network SIM lock removed do not have this problem. So it is most likely a clash with operators branded software.

It is a nice little phone, I have only given it such a low score because of the WiFi issues. When these are resolved I can see it getting higher marks.

Being a Nokia phone fan I was really desperate to get this phone, so much so I even changed networks as the network I was on didn't do it.

When it comes to the design, functions, graphic etc of the phone I have no complaints. The reason why I only marked this as 50% on features is that it has one thing missing & for me this is quite important. It has no drafts box!

Why on earth would they fail to allow a mobile user to save a draft. Yes it's great we have quick access to all these lovely new features. But please retain an old one too.

I use drafts quite a lot & if you are not a common draft user, this phone will suit you. If however you like to say messages that you can later edit & forward on (note you cannot do this in their archive box) then be warned. On none of the adverts I saw for this phone was it said no drafts.

I purchased this phone a few weeks ago & I think it's great. The QWERTY keyboard is so easy to use, the keys are spaced out nicely making text messages & emails easy to type & send. It has a great MP3 player on it allowing you to use your own headphones with the 3.5 jack. The camera isn't brilliant at 2 megapixels but no problem to me as I have a camera. Battery life is fantastic, I am always messing with my phone & the battery seems to last forever.

So if you're looking for a phone that is not touch screen I would recommend the Nokia C3.
