The Nokia 6730 Classic is an attractive 3G phone which is a Vodafone exclusive handset. This phone comes in a beautiful white coloured casing complete with a subtle Vodafone logo on its casing. As this handset is a Vodafone exclusive phone it comes preloaded with Vodafone features & extras which include a Vodafone Music Client feature. Its overall size is small & it is a lightweight 3G handset. The handset weighs eighty three grams including the fitted battery which gives the casing an incredibly lightweight feel when held in the user single hand. It measures 112mm tall by 46mm wide by 12.6mm deep which makes this handset easy to carry & hold. The Nokia 6730 Classic is a member of the Nokia Classic range which includes other handsets such as the Nokia 6216 Classic, Nokia 6720 Classic & the Nokia 6700 Classic, but all of these handsets have differing features & functions to make them unique in design. This phone has a Symbian operating system with series 60 version 3.2 which allows the user to enjoy a user friendly interface. The front section of the handset has a 2.2 Inch sized TFT screen which provides a large & clear viewing display which can display up to sixteen million colours complete with a high screen resolution.

A built in music player allows the user to hear their favourite music on their mobile phone. The user can playback their music in MP3, eAAC+ & WMA format, & enjoy transferring their favourite music files onto their phone using the connectivity options available on the Nokia 6730 Classic. As mentioned previously the 6730 Classic comes with the added bonus of a Vodafone music client which is available due to this handset being a Vodafone exclusive. The 6730 Classic supports a selection of ringtone formats & the user can change their ringtone to suit their own style & taste. The user can tune into their preferred radio station allowing the user to enjoy a portable radio experience on their mobile phone. The radio comes with a FM tuner & supports a RDS radio feature which allows the user to view radio information on their 2.2 inch colour screen whilst hearing the radio. The Nokia 6730 Classic comes with integrated AGPS navigation complete with Nokia maps support.

The 6730 Classic supports 3G HSDPA technology which allows the user to experience high speed connectivity as well as multi usage of integrated feature, for instance browsing the Web whilst taking an incoming call. The handset comes with forty eight megabytes of built in memory & the phone comes with a one gigabyte MicroSD™ memory card which can be fitted to expand the phones memory capabilities. The Nokia 6730 Classic can support a MicroSD™ memory card which is up to eight gigabytes in size. This phone works over a quad band GSM network as well as covering HSDPA 2100 & 900 networks. The user can connect their phone to other devices using either a Bluetooth® technology when connecting to compatible devices or the user may wish to connect to other devices using a USB cabled connection as the Nokia 6730 Classic supports micro USB connectivity. The user can use the connectivity options when transferring data files between devices including the user's computer, other mobile phone handsets & many more devices. When the phones battery is fully charged the user can enjoy up to five hundred hours of battery standby time or approximately ten hours of GSM talk time.

The camera feature allows the user to capture still photos during their day as the user will always have their mobile phone close to hand. The Nokia 6730 Classic has a 3 megapixel camera which supports video recording as well as photo capturing capabilities. This camera feature is easy to use due to the easily located camera capture key & user friendly imaging settings. The user can switch between a video recording mode & a photo capturing mode. The Nokia 6730 Classic also supports high quality video playback allowing the user to view videos from the Web or sent from other contacts. This 3G phone also supports a video calling feature which allows the user to have a face to face call with compatible 3G video calling contacts. The user can communicate with others via the built in messaging services which include a SMS text messaging service, email service complete with document attachment feature & a MMS multimedia picture messaging service. An integrated Web browser provides access to the Web which can be used for fun or as a useful tool for the user on the move. The user can use the WAP browser & enjoy a high speed Internet experience.

A tough compact Nokia phone packing some of the high end features usually exclusive to Nokia's top devices. Setting the trend for inbuilt GPS with turn by turn maps this phone literally talks you in the right direction.

Released on August 1st the 6730 classic is available only on the Vodafone network. Base contracts start at only £25per month, but include unlimited Internet & free roaming, so no international call fees when calling from abroad this summer.

From handling the device it feels solid & robust. Software is simple & fast to use. If you're coming to the end of your contract I would definitely consider upgrading to this device!
