Rubbish. Impossible to make a quick text! All functions are complicated, try using it from memory finger touch & you'll fail. Poor, poor phone, 6500 is far superior.

I bought this phone for rs 9700. The battery backup is excellent. Still camera quality is good but motion pictures are very bad. Look of the sliding form is excellent. It supports most applications. Good processing speed. Only bad thing is motion picture quality.

I have always used Nokia phones & thought this one looked great however after using it I have found it lacks previous features from other Nokia's, for example, no shortcuts when texting, no graphics, longer process to send text, having to scroll through more pages. I have also found just recently that the phone freezes whilst texting, & you have to wait until it catches up with you. The camera is also harder to use due to the one button, & you cannot zoom in on any pictures you save, this could be done before. I will probably look at another make of phone now.

Recently upgraded from 6500 slide & wish I hadn't bothered. Quite simply the worst phone I have ever owned by far (already gone back to the old phone even though it's falling apart!). 6700 looks cheap & is very complicated to use. With a 5 megapixel camera it's probably better used for taking pictures than making calls or texting etc!

I've rated this highly only on my first few hours of ownership. Just got for £10 per month on O2 which is very good, & the phone seems likewise. Long term use will give a better perspective of course. Only thing noticeable is a slightly poorer quality feel to the buttons compared to my old & similar E65. Like how the favourite contacts scroll with pictures across the top, like the recent Nokia touch screens, like how contact history is shown for each too. For £10 month I think I've got a good deal. Hope it stays reliable.

Sorry, I am not impressed with it, VERY complicated to use & missing loads of the nice shortcut touches I appreciated in my 6500s, mainly on the texting side. For example the 6700s has so many menus to scroll through & simply trying to send a quick text has become really laborious, i.e. selecting the person that you wish to send a text to requires many button presses & menus! The text size, even when I have selected LARGE is still really tiny & I imagine that people with poor eyesight might have a problem with it.
The camera is good but a bit tricky to operate, with there being so many things to set up before taking a photo, & only one (tiny) button to take the picture. Unfortunately obstructive, & have lost images as a result. Also there is no apparent means of zooming on an image, or of viewing it in full screen mode like on the 6500s. Perhaps I'll find that out later.
The phone comes with a surprising lack of themes & graphics, but with the usual multitude of appalling ringtones. I don't have the time to fiddle around downloading something better!
On the plus side, the phone does look great, it's just that the case does not look remotely durable so I am having to carry it around in a padded case, & the screen & keypad get smeary as soon as you handle the phone.
I don't know about any of the Internet features as I haven't used them yet. The phone is definitely geared towards sharing anything & everything online.
To summarise. A disappointment for me, as the 6700s seems too complicated & has lost the wonderful simplicity that I admire from former Nokia handsets. Perhaps I am just a spoiled brat, but I will probably be returning to the 6500s for headache free & effortless communication!

I bought this phone just a couple of days back after doing lot of analysis, reading reviews etc.
My first opinion, it is very good handset you can get from a reliable brand like Nokia at a price tag of INR 9800.
For those who don't want to go for touch screen (like me), I would recommend this phone without a second thought. I have just started using it, the rating will change after couple of days & I have confidence that it will be in positive direction :-).
So as of now. Just go for it.

Nokia 6700 slide is a simply beautiful all round mobile, camera shoots excellent pictures, music player is good, speaker volume is good, Nokia the other name for mobile phones has come out with yet another gem at a reasonable price, very very user friendly, most reliable mobile phone, the name Nokia itself stands for quality, durability, user friendliness at its best.
Three cheers for Nokia, keep up the good work.
AFTER USING Nokia ONE REALISES NO MOBILE PHONE COMES NEAR TO Nokia.

Well just bought this phone yesterday & it's a blue one for me. This is a great phone for someone who just doesn't want a touch screen phone. The camera is great & has duel LED Flash & a video light for video recording in the dark which is awesome. It has a secondary front camera which can also be used to capture images. I wouldn't say the phone has a plastic feeling at all, its metal & its small & nice & not really flashy & bulky as it looks in the pictures on the Internet, you can trust me on that. Overall it has a cool & beautiful design. The sound of the phone is good, but if you compare it to any music phones out there in the market, this wouldn't win at all because this is not a music phone but has nice sound & plays well even at full volume. I found it fast enough to jump through menus on the phone, the only drawback with this phone is that it has no volume controller on the sides & no 3.5 mm jack for music, but again at this price, its full packed with features with just Wi-Fi missing.
I give this phone a 10 out of 10, would recommend it to anyone.

This little phone is gorgeous to hold & use, very easy to get around the menu & features & is perfect for all those who just don't want a touch screen. My only concerns are that it is rather small & feels like it won't last out my 2 year contract. I'd like to know if the silver casing is easily dented & whether the whole plastic feel phone will last. I would recommend it for its intuitive user ability & simplicity of use but am dying to hear other reviews, there are none out there!
