Our Nokia 6216 Classic Review

The Nokia 6216 Classic is a 3G handset which has an elegant bar shaped casing. This bar shaped handset allows the user to view their screen whilst inputting numeric or text input. It comes with a well positioned keypad which is situated neatly below the screen & has the keys etched into the surface of the phone. The 6216 Classic has a curved lower edging on the handset which makes it easy for the user to hold when in use. This attractive handset comes in a coco pearl coloured casing which also gives it the elegant look it deserves. Its casing is compact in size which measures 14.5mm deep, 41.7mm wide & 114.7mm tall which makes this 3G handset easy to carry & hold for its user. The Nokia 6216 Classic weighs eighty eight grams which is lightweight & therefore it will not weigh the user down when carrying their phone. A two inch QVGA screen fills half of the front section of the casing & provides a clear & bright viewing experience for the user to enjoy. This screen can displays up to 16.7 million colours for the user to enjoy when viewing videos & pictures on their new phone.

An integrated Opera mini Web browser allows the user to access the Web at high speeds & surf for new websites using the Nokia mobile search feature. The user can experience a HTML & XHTML Web browsing on their Nokia 6216 Classic. When it comes to staying in contact with others, the user can make a call or share a variety of messages with compatible contacts which is a fun & simple way to communicate on the 6216 Classic. This compact phone supports a selection of messaging services which include Nokia audio messaging, multimedia picture messaging, text messaging & email. An audio message allows the user to share sound & music with compatible messaging contacts whereas the multimedia messaging service allows the user to share pictures or video with sound & text, which can be shared between compatible contacts supports the same messaging service.

This classic looking handset comes with easy to use call feature which just make life that little bit easier for its user. The call features include a flight mode option which allows the user to access a selection of features on their phone whilst in mobile phone restricted areas such as on board a plane. A speaker phone feature allows the user to enjoy using the phones built in speakers & microphone to enjoy a call out loud for a handsfree & speaker type call experience. The user can create a conference call with up to six contacts per call which allows the user to enjoy business meetings on a call or the user can simply get all their friends together on one call to arrange the next party plans or meeting place. A push to talk call feature works like a type of walkie talkie call as the user can push a key to talk to their contact & on releasing the key the user will hear their contact talk back to them. This handset also supports a vibrating alert which will let the user know if a new call or message comes in by the handset making a vibration movement when their phone is set to silent with a vibrate alert.


A built in two megapixel camera feature supports both still image capture as well as video capture allowing the user to capture moving footage when required. This camera feature comes with easy to locate settings & supports an 8 x digital zoom function along with a flash which will add light to those darker surroundings. This built in camera feature on the Nokia 6216 Classic comes complete with a viewfinder which allows the user to view their desired shot or video recording on the 2 Inch screen when taking the shot or recording the footage, which works just like a standard digital camera or digital camcorder. The user can adjust the colour tone or scene mode to ensure the best finish is captured when using the camera feature. A video can be captured just as easily as taking a picture by using the camera key & the user can record footage at up to fifteen frames per second. A video zoom allows the user to use a zoom when recording video which provides the best quality results when the user needs to get up closer to their desired target. The Nokia 6216 Classic also supports a video calling feature thanks to the handsets built in 3G technology, which allows the user to enjoy a face to face calling experience with other compatible video calling contacts.

This phone is a 3G handset which allows the user to enjoy features such as 3G video calling as well as high speed connectivity on this handset. It comes with twenty two megabytes of internal memory & the user can insert an expandable memory card in the form of a MicroSD™ card to extend the handsets storage capabilities further. The 6216 Classic work over a quad band network which depending on the user's service operator, allows the user to roam worldwide with this phone. The built in Bluetooth® technology allows the user to experience a wireless connection to other devices which support Bluetooth® technology which is useful when the user wishes to transfer files with devices which are up to ten metres away from their 6216 Classic as a Bluetooth® connection can be enjoyed. This phone comes with a USB port allowing the user to insert a USB cable into their phone & the other end of the cable can be connected to another compatible device to gain a cabled connection between devices when transferring data. The battery provided will allow the user to enjoy up to 300 hours of battery standby time or up to 3.3 hours of GSM talk time, when the battery is fully charged.

A built in music player & radio feature allows the user of this classic handset to enjoy listening entertainment on their phone. The radio is a FM radio which also supports a visual radio feature. It's built in music player supports many music formats including MP3, WMA, AAC, eAAC & eAAC+ so the user can transfer their CD's if desired or download new music if preferred. A built in calendar feature comes complete with a monthly or weekly view depending on the user's needs & allows the user to stay organised. The Nokia 6216 Classic has a phone book storage which allows the user to store all their contacts names & numbers for easy access. The user can add up to one thousand contacts to their phone book & enjoy adding images to contacts for a fun display to appear when each contact calls.
