The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition is a Smartphone which comes with an integrated & highly user friendly navigation feature. This 3G Smartphone is from the same Nokia range as its brother the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic but the handsets differ in features as the 5800 Navigation Edition comes with extra navigation focused features. The 5800 Navigation Edition comes in an elegantly designed casing which is a glossy black colour complete with a chrome coloured section around the edge of the casing. This handset has a solid weight which is one hundred & nine grams which provides a quality feel for the user. The Smartphone measures 11.1cm tall by 5.17cm wide by 1.55cm deep which feels good to hold in a single hand. Its casing is a good size when considering the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition has a 3.2 Inch touch screen which dominates the front of this handset. This touch screen displays up to 262 thousand colours with a screen resolution of 640 pixels by 320 pixels. The touch screen has a built in screen accelerometer & the user can simple change the way they view their screen by turning the handset & the screen will automatically change to suit the users viewing position. The user can enjoy an onscreen keyboard when inputting text & the 5800 Navigation Edition supports a handwriting recognition feature. This Smartphone supports a Symbian operating system 9.4 with S60 software. The user can enjoy eighty one megabytes of internal memory & the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition comes with an eight gigabytes of MicroSD™ memory card but this handset supports up to sixteen gigabytes of external memory.

A built in assisted GPS navigation feature is the main feature on this stylish phone as the user can turn their mobile phone into a portable navigation devices which will assist the user when travelling on foot or when the user is travelling via car. The 5800 Navigation edition works over a 3G HSDPA 900 & 2100 networks as well as being a quad band GSM network handset allowing the user to roam worldwide with their new handset. Its built in call features include a push to talk call function, a hands free speaker phone feature for a call over the phones speakers & the user can access their call log which holds a record of calls received, calls dialled & missed calls. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition has a rechargeable battery which will provide the user with five hours of 3G talk time or up to four hundred & six hours of standby time when fully charged. This Smartphone's supports 3G HSDPA technology which allows its user to enjoy high speed connectivity on their Smartphone. The user can connect to other devices using either the handsets micro USB port to connect to USB compatibles devices or the user may wish to connect to Bluetooth® compatible devices using as a Bluetooth® wireless connection between the devices. The 5800 Navigation Edition supports Wi-Fi technology which allows its user to gain a connect to the Internet via a WLAN or a nearby hotspot connection point which can all be carried out without using cables. The user can hear their music in high quality thanks to the stereo speakers & the volume is easily controlled using the well positioned volume key. The 5800 Navigation Edition supports MP3 format ringtones & polyphonic sound allowing the user to add new ringtones to suit the user's style. A built in camera feature allows the user of this Smartphone to capture still photos & record video footage easily by selecting the camera feature from the main menu. The camera is a 3.2 megapixel camera complete with a rear facing lens & Carl Zeiss optics. This camera comes with a dedicated camera capture key & the user can capture & store photos or videos quickly & easily which can be edited, shared with others or stored on the Smartphone. The main camera comes with useful features such as a zoom, automatic focus & a built in LED flash.
