Overview
The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is a mobile phone complete with a built in navigation feature allowing its user to gain step by step directions to new locations. This compact phone comes with an integrated two megapixel camera feature, music player & easy to use call features which makes communication easy for its user. The 2710 Navigation Edition comes with a Nokia battery, car charger, car holder, connectivity cable, compact charger, user guide & a two gigabytes MicroSD™ memory in its start up box. Nokia have designed a range of navigation focused handsets which include the Nokia 6210 Navigator, Nokia 6710 Navigator & the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition but each handset comes with differing features & technologies to suit a variety of users needs. The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is lower end of the market handset which provides its user with a navigation feature on a well priced handset.

Appearance & Size
It comes in two casing colours which include a jet black coloured casing & a warm silver coloured casing depending on the user's preference. The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is a lightweight handset which only weights eighty seven grams including its fitted Nokia battery which is perfect for carrying & handling purposes. This phone has a bar shaped form which measures 11.12cm high by 4.57cm wide by 1.37cm which provides a well proportioned casing which is easy to hold in a single hand. The front section of the casing has a 2.2 inch colour TFT display which supports a screen resolution of 240 pixels by 320. This colourful screen provides a clear display when the user is viewing there navigation maps, messages, pictures, videos & call details. The screen supports themed wallpapers & screensavers which the user can change to suit their style. There is a square shaped navigation control & a neatly etched keypad positioned below the screen.

Imaging, Media & Entertainment
The 2710 Navigation Edition has a rear facing camera lens which provides the user with a two megapixel camera feature which supports both still picture capturing as well as video recording capabilities. This camera feature comes with an easily located camera key & the user can enjoy the 4 x digital zoom when capturing a shot. A built in FM stereo radio which supports a RDS feature allows the user of the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition to enjoy a mobile music experience & the user can connect compatible earphones for a private listening experience. There is an integrated video player which supports video playback in MPEG4 format, H263, H264 & WMV video format. The user can view videos sent from others or playback their own video creations on their 2710 Navigation Edition mobile phone. A music player feature is accessible via the phones main menu & the user can download or transfer their favourite track which can then be played for entertainment as the user is on their travels. This built in music player supports music in MP3 format, WAV, eAAC+ & WMA music format & good quality sound. There are preinstalled games on the phone or the user may wish to download new games onto their phone for a new gaming experience.

The user can store all their contact details in the phone book which is easily access via the phones main menu. The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition supports call features which include a speaker phone feature for a loud speaker calling experience & a conference call feature for a meeting type call experience. There is a variety of messaging services which allow the user to communicate with friends & family without even making a call. The user can create & share messages with their compatible messaging contacts in the form of a SMS text message, MMS multimedia message, email message or even use the instant messaging service for an online text chat with friends.

This handset focuses on its built in GPS with A GPS navigation feature which supports a Nokia Maps 2.1 Navigation application & provide its user with a user friendly navigation feature on their mobile phone. The user can slot their phone into the car holder provided & use their Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition as a navigation device whilst travelling. The Nokia battery provided with the phone supports up to 12.5 hours of talk time or up to 490 hours of battery standby time when the battery is fully charged. This mobile phone supports Bluetooth® wireless technology which allows the user to connect to other Bluetooth® compatible devices wirelessly when the user wishes to transfer data between two devices. There is a connection port which allows the user to insert one end of the connectivity cable provides into their phone, & the other end of the cable into another compatible device which provides an easy to use cabled connection between the two devices. It comes with a HTML & XHTML browser which allows the user to access the World Wide Web on their phone for information, service & entertainment. The Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition comes with sixty four megabytes of built in memory & a two gigabyte memory card is provided with the handset, plus the user can extend their phones memory further if desired by inserting a memory card which is up to sixteen gigabytes in size. This handset works over GSM 850, 900, 1800 & 1900 network bands & will automatically switch between bands to gain the best network coverage for its user.
