I bought this phone for my daughter as she was going away with her grandparents & needed a phone, I chose it because 1 it's pink! & 2 it's a Nokia & they are the easiest phones to use. But I am very disappointed with the phone in the last 6 weeks we had had 2 phones due to a battery fault with them, the first time it went wrong was when she was away on holiday so therefore was unable to use her phone for the duration of the holiday so we replaced it when she got home & have experienced the same problem again.

Nokia 2690 is a really good phone, it has all we need at its exceptionally low price.
Advantages.
- Media player is nice for video viewing it supports 174 x 144 video size at 15 fps & 128 kbps audio in mp4 format, smooth playback, better than 5130 & 2700.
- Loud speaker is better n louder than Nokia 5130xm & 2700.
- It has good looks high glossy finish.
It may not have a equaliser but other java music player solve this problem.
