Dear friends please do not ever waste your money on this rubbish phone. Poor battery, I need to charge minimum 6 times a day. The centre button has fallen off & whenever I make a call I can hear some weird sound in the background. Motorola really is not good! Nokia rocks any day!

Pros.
- MP3 player.
- Decent Design.
- 2MP camera.
- MicroSD card slot.
- Sort of small.

Cons.
- Cannot use alarms unless phone is on (no charging phone in off mode at night if you want to wake up on time).
- Battery dies in 8 months.
- MP3 player depletes battery quickly.
- Camera has no flash.
- DEFECTIVE BUTTONS, the centre circular button WILL fall off, I super glued mine back on. The centre button within the circular button ALSO will fall off, I lost mine.
- My ON & OFF & End Call button died. I now have to turn off my phone or end a call by yanking my battery out, ridiculous.
- DEFECTIVE SPEAKER PHONE, the speaker phone speaker went out within the first year. Now, alarms are quieter. Also, you cannot obviously play your music from the phone without headphones.
- BAD SOFTWARE, the contacts pictures consistently cause the phone to freeze - the result is you can't add pictures to more than 3 contacts.

Although this phone has a lot of nice ideas as features, the phone physically doesn't last & the features cause problems due to software problems. In the end, I feel like I have a what used to be nice (the plastic taints over time) looking phone, that has some features that are currently still in date, has some nice accessibility features (the MicroSD slot) but ultimately lacks the basic requirement of functioning as a phone for two years.

DO NOT BUY.

Well, nobody's perfect & technology is never stable. For me, this phone is the best. I can be paparazzi with this phone. I can surf the Internet. I can take notes. This phone is very helpful in controlling my anger. Instead of bursting out, I just put on my headphones & listen to Radiohead. I also use it listening to podcasts. My Motorola ROKR Z6 is packed with the coolest games & applications. If you are resourceful enough, you will fall in love with this phone.

Hi friends, ROKR Z6 is really a nice one. It has lot of nice features. Bought it five months back. Of course battery life is too low (charging twice a day) & sometimes it displays operation failed & files corrupted. The wheel like button has fallen but I have fixed it with glue now that button is somewhat okay. But I am happy with my phone. But my kind advice, think twice before buying it.

I have had 3 of these within 3 weeks.

The first one.
- The keys locked up & I had to take it back & get a new phone. & when I opened the contacts it had the wrong picture next to the Contact.

The second one.
- In the middle of a call it would drop the call & the screen would show the Motorola powering symbol, though the phone never actually power cycled. & when I opened the contacts it had the wrong picture next to the Contact.

The third one.
- Same problem as the second PLUS when I receive a text & I select read it goes to the Motorola Power Off screen & then it actually POWERS OFF! & when I try to use my shortcut soft keys it brings up the icons on the home screen & freezes for a little bit. I absolutely hate this phone.

Plus, the smudges & fingerprints are never ending! It is hard to text on because the 1, 2 & 3 are up under the slider. The letters & number are all gooey from where the filling is coming out. (I have only had this phone for about 2 months).

I will never buy Motorola again. Before these ROKRs I had 3 RAZRs & a KRZR that all glitched & crashed.

I DO NOT recommend THIS PHONE TO anyone!

Pro's.
- Looks good.
- Easy to use.

Con's.
- Audio quality (I keep hearing like if there were scratches on my MP3's).
- ONLY 6 hours MP3 play time.
- Battery does not last.
- MP3 Player kept saying that the list was corrupted, had to restart the phone for it to stop rebuilding the list.
- Phone does not show the correct battery charge sometimes.

Had 2 of these phones in 3 weeks. First started clicking random keys when opened so I changed it. Second did all the above. So I got another phone.

I would not recommend this phone to anyone wanting to use it as an MP3 player.

The first Rokr I got I took back within a week because it was broke right out of the box. It kept corrupting my picture files & then it would restart & not turn on.

My second Rokr worked for quite a while, but then the memory card would stop reading stuff. After a while the phone simply wouldn't load (it'd start & I'd get the Motorola symbol, but it wouldn't actually get me into the phone screen) while the memory card was in. After I reformatted the memory card it was fine & happened again. The programming on the Sound menu is bugged. All I see except for a few random letters are boxes like it's trying to display characters it doesn't know. Finally lately it's been restarting constantly & occasionally I'll get an invalid battery message even though it's the one & only battery the phone has ever known.

For as soon as it bugged, horrible phone.

My Rokr is terrible! It randomly shuts off, says invalid battery, & also has extremely low battery life. I tell everyone who ask if my phone is good, to git a different one! I don't think I am ever going to buy a Motorola phone after this one breaks, which will probably be soon.

My buttons on the phone keep falling off & I've only had it since December! It gets poor battery life I often have to charge it like twice a day. I want a new phone so bad. It is very nice looking though. To many people have it now way to common if going for just looks I would go for it but I want something a little more functional.

This phone looks nice. But it's a piece of junk. It ALWAYS freezes the exterior buttons fall out (not only mine but my friends as well) when you send a text half the time you have to turn it off & on in order for the text to send. The camera & video is pretty good, it has a lot of nice features but on the hole the phone is a piece of rubbish.

Yeah it's a nice phone on the outside but inside it screams hardware problems. I have this phone for only 3 weeks & it auto shut off & the only option is to replace with new hardware. Totally unusable because it shuts off when it likes to & turns on whenever it feels turning on. Such a shameful product of an electronic giant cutting cost by giving it to Chinese manufactures when we all know china is the worst manufacturers in the world. I urge the other people thinking of buying this product to think twice because of the defects namely.

- Intermittent auto shut off.
- Low volume on non-blue tooth headset.
- MP3 player usually prompting file corruption.
- Camera has problems when you point storage to memory card.
- Glass screen attracts dirt, usually from fingerprints.
- Frequent hang up & restart.

Don't BUY THIS PHONE READ the reviews you will find other people with the same problem with me.

Motorola SHOULD recall or give better software stop shaming Linux it is very stable software unlike what you put in your phone.

I got this mobile phone as a gift for my birthday in December. Everything about it was great. Until, I tried to download games to my phone, & at one time I was able to access them on the MY STUFF tab that comes on when you push easy edge for US MOBILE PHONE users. But after a while, I went back to click on my games like I was able to before & I couldn't get the tab to open. I even reset my phone according to the rep at the US Cingular store & nothing they don't even know what is wrong with it! It's now April tomorrow & I still have yet to find out how to get my phone repaired! I am paying for Internet & I cannot even play the games I paid for! Had I known this phone would have cost me so much lost money in downloads I WOULD NEVER HAVE PURCHASED IT! TERRIBLE! ALL THOSE CONSIDERING IT, BEWARE! THIS IS the LAST Motorola PHONE I WILL EVER BUY!

Hi Guys, I am using this phone last six months. The plus points for this mobile are louder sound my friends were amazed about it (we had compared to Nokia N73, 6680 & Sony Ericsson k790i), nice looking design, camera flash, BATTERY Life (I am charging once in two days) the guys were feeling battery power wasn't good please put the power save into ON mode. Negative points are if it came with FM even better & we can open only one Java application at a time.

Very good mobile. Nice system, great design.

To the ones who can't make the battery last longer, I can give some tips, Go to Settings, Phone Settings then Display Settings.
- Low the Brightness of your screen.
- Low the Backlight Timeout.
- Low the Display Timeout.

Go to Settings then Phone Settings.
- Turn the Battery Save option ON.

I still testing it, but if you follow the tips, you will have good results indeed. Keep in mind that the use of any applications will consume power, especially Java ones. Merry Christmas & a happy new year for you all!

The slider is armed with auto-opening mechanism, making the process of sliding the Z6 open single handily a breeze. Thanks to the CPU running at 628 MHz! Breezes aggressively while operating the menu! The ring tones volume is average, while MP3 tunes sound a bit louder than that, guaranteeing that you will hear its alerts from just about anywhere, the silent alert is average or slightly above average strength wise. Overall it is a typical Motorola. Apt mobile for a gizmo freak! Brainless ones will find it a bit odd to use. It is a revolutionary change in Motorola. One of the best displays in the market, very vivid & natural, decent camera with flash.

I bought my Z6 a week ago. I am now using my 2nd unit (replaced just yesterday) what I really like about this phone is its sleek looks, easy to navigate keys, 1GB memory card included & very fast processor. However, the low battery life is a big minus. It lasts only for a day even though I am not into music playing very much.

The problem I had with the first unit is that it can't recognize the memory card. The store replaced the phone & then after a night of using the new one, when I turn off the phone then turn it back on, the memory card needs reinstalling every time (the power should be on for the unit to recognize the card reinstallation). If this keeps up, either the memory card or its holder will surely give me problems due to constant removal/reinsertion. This coupled with the low battery life is a big let-down.

As the name suggests this phone really rocks, good camera, good music player & overall a good operating system to work on is all about Z6. Ringtones played are very good & you can easily hear it in the noisy conditions. Camera works well in the night only when you have its flash on. Camera results are extremely fine in daylight conditions. The only bad thing about the phone is its battery life. It is really bad the users. Overall I would give this phone 9/10. Thanks Motorola for making such a great phone.

It is a mid range phone with all the features a music mobile should have. The main feature of this mobile is that it has linux-os technology. It makes the mobile process very fast when compared to other mobiles.

Phone is not that bad. But somebody tell me, why does my phone shut down on its own at times. I just had it for a week & it's creating this problem of shutting down on its own & restarting.

But apart from that, the phone's OK. Need a little getting used to in terms of navigation. But that's normal.

It's a little bit challenging when using a text message to erase because I keep rapidly hitting clear & my finger slips & hits the end key that's really annoying but other than that its a great mobile overall & I would recommend it to any one who slides & I also like that I was trying to choose between a RAZR & a chocolate but as soon as I saw this its like a mix the only part I liked about the RAZR is the laser cut key pad & I like everything about the chocolate except for colour a manufacturer the Motorola ROKR z6 is a mix & that's my biggest reason why I enjoy this phone.

Great phone with very quick responses to menu items & lot of features. What I liked the most was the:

- Voice quality. Really clear.
- Music quality also. The music sounds much better on its headphones.
- USB speed. Download songs from PC much faster than even video iPod I have.

The phone in India comes with 1GB memory card & a pre recorded live concert from Roger Waters. Must for Pink Floyd fans. One drawback on design is that keypad is bit small for those with big hands. But otherwise built quality & display is very good.

If the people who have used it could tell the reasons for which they like/dislike it, then it would be a great guide to me while deciding to whether buy it or not.

Please tell me about:

1) Battery life
2) User friendliness
3) Voice quality
4) Build quality

Also if you can add other valuable data, then tat would be a great help. Thank you.
