Motorola MOTOSURF A3100 3G Phone Review

The Motorola A3100 is a 3G touch screen phone which comes in a sleek black coloured casing which has a curved edge design. This stylish handset is also known as the Motorola MOTOSURF A3100. The user can enjoy the large touch screen which is 2.8 Inches in size & provides a 65k colour display which has a resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels. The touch screen allows the user to input text & make feature selections with ease using finger control, the roller ball navigation or the stylus provided with the Motorola A3100. The touch screen supports handwriting recognition which allows the user to use the stylus to write text & this built in feature will select the appropriate letters to correspond with the written text. The A3100 works on a Microsoft Windows Mobile® 6.1 professional operating system. This highly capable touch screen handset weighs only one hundred & nineteen grams which feels good to hold in the users hand without weighing the user down with a heavy handset. The overall size of the casing is slim & compact for a touch screen phone which measures 110mm by 59.7mm by 13.7mm.

This 3G capable mobile phone comes with two hundred & fifty six megabytes of flash memory & one hundred & twenty eight megabytes of RAM memory. The Motorola A3100 comes with a memory card slot which allows the user to insert a memory card to expand their handsets memory further. The phone works on a quad band network which covers four GSM networks as well as HSDPA. The Motorola A3100 is a 3G HSDPA phone which supports high speed Internet access & the 3G technology supports communication features such as 3G video calling capabilities. The A3100 supports easy to use connectivity such as USB connectivity which allows the user to connect their mobile phone to other devices which have a USB connection port. The user simply uses a USB cable to connect the two compatible devices to each other when transferring data files. This phone supports Bluetooth® technology which allows the user to enjoy a wireless connection to other Bluetooth® compatible devices which are up to ten metres away from the Motorola A3100. The user can enjoy high speed data transfer rates thanks to the built in EDGE & GPRS technology. A fitted battery provides up to six hours talk time when fully charged & up to 288 hours of battery standby time.

The user can enjoy connecting to the Internet using the built in Web browser which allows the user to enjoy surfing for information & services on the World Wide Web. The Motorola A3100 supports RSS feeds & allows the user to access popular social network sites on their mobile phone. The user can communicate with others compatible messaging users by sending a SMS text message, email, instant message or MMS multimedia message. The Motorola A3100 supports MMS messaging which allows the user to send a message containing a picture or a video clip to compatible users with sound & text to enhance the message further. An instant messaging service allows the user to communicate with compatible instant messaging users that are online using text & symbols to communicate during an online chat. The phone comes with document viewing capabilities which allows the user to view documents in popular formats such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint & Microsoft Excel documents. The A3100 comes with a GPS navigation system with AGPS which allows the user to gain directions to unknown location or simply get guidance to their next location.

An integrated three megapixel camera allows the user to enjoy capturing still pictures as well as recording moving video footage using the integrated camera feature. The camera comes with a built in digital zoom which allows the user to get up closer to their target & a built in flash will brighten up those darker surrounding. The user can capture pictures & video easily using the camera key & enjoy gaining the best quality finish using the many features & imaging options available on the Motorola A3100. The phone comes with a second camera which is mainly used for 3G video calling purposes & therefore the lens is located at the front of the handset which will record the user's expressions & surroundings when taking part in a video call with other compatible users. The phone supports video recording which allows the user to record, store & share their funny moments & memorable moments in their day. The user can playback video in popular MPEG4 or WMV format & enjoy viewing video footage sent from others users or simply view their own stored recording. A built in music player allows the user to enjoy downloading new music onto their mobile phone for entertainment & listening to music which has been transferred from the user's personal computer or other compatible devices. The music player supports MP3 format & WMA music format. The Motorola A3100 supports ringtones in MP3 & polyphonic format.
