As with most phones produced by Motorola this is a Bad Phone, ugly, chunky design with poor features. Cheap & nasty. Motorola isn't a patch on slick European producers.

I just wanted a cheap phone to make calls & text. For under forty pounds I also got a camera & WAP plus much more. I ran over my C261 with the front wheel of my car as I left a friend's house & it was left on the drive all night in the pouring rain. After a night on the heater & a charge it works fine with no more than scratches & a crack on the screen. Brilliant!

I have the c261 but it pretty much got destroyed, it was a great phone. The only problem that I had was that there is no key lock, so random things got punched in while it was in my pocket. I have a question though; does anyone know if I got a new c261, can my pictures & my phonebook get transferred over to the new one? Thank you very much! Enjoy.

Its basic phone with basic features, which is what I wanted.
But, the camera is too dark. Less than year old, cuts out for no reason, on/off switch unreliable. Has been back to manufacturer twice & they've replaced the unit, now it won't charge & can't find network.
No replacement battery was offered. Won't be buying Motorola again.

It's an all around pretty good phone. Other than it doesn't have a side volume bar or a video camera.

Motorola C-261 is not a bad mobile phone. but its camera is good but sound is very poor than any other mobile set of Nokia. I think sound quality must be improve.

This phone is cool but like its annoying you can't do to much with it & sometimes the camera doesn't work that well because its to dark. Otherwise it's good.

The best phone around.

To be honest for the cost this is, this has to be the best of the under £30 phones out there, if you want the perfect starter phone, this is it.

Features are very flawed, camera seems decent, but no Bluetooth or USB. No organiser. Worst of all, battery life is weak, unbelievably poor. Liable to cut out after a few minutes of talking.
Leave well alone.

It is a great phone in that it is cheap, ok looking & it has an ok camera & that is normally hard to find at the price the phone is.

Motorola never seem to impress me, & this is another example for it. This phone has a decent slim design, however, it appears larger & wider then other phones. Motorola only ever seem to use VGA Camera's, they need to improve & keep up with today's features.
The C261 is a no no, bad phone, bad features.
