Our Motorola QUENCH Review

Overview
This 3G touch screen Smartphone comes with a super MOTOBLUR user interface complete with live widgets. The Motorola QUENCH has a neatly design casing complete with its colourful touch screen & smooth edged casing. It comes with an Android operating system version 1.5 complete with its stylish user interface this Smartphone is a pleasure to use. It supports built in technologies including WiFi®, 3G HSDPA, GPS with A GPS & the Motorola QUENCH comes with social network integration for useful communication. With its user friendly call feature & messaging service the user can stay in contacts with friends & family on the move.

Appearance & Size
The QUENCH has a sleek looking casing & its touch screen provides easy to use touch controls as well as a colourful display. Its capacitive touch screen is 3.1 inches in size when measured diagonally & it has a 320 pixel by 480 pixel display. Below the touch screen is a touch panel which allows the user to gain easy access to the phones main menu & much more. The user can simply turn their handset & the touch screen will turn from horizontal to vertical mode & visa versa depending on the handset position. The Motorola QUENCH is available in three colours which include a black coloured casing, purple or a licorice coloured casing & it comes with elegant chrome coloured edges. The back of the casing has a textured appearance which makes this handset easy to handle as well as looking very modern in design. It measures 11.68cm tall by 6cm wide by 1.24cm deep & it is one hundred & thirty grams in weight.


Imaging, Media & Entertainment
The user can view videos on their Smartphone in many formats which include MPEG4, H263 & H264. There is a built in music player which provides high quality sound & easy to use music playing controls. The user can play their music in MP3, eAAC+ & WAV music formats. The Motorola QUENCH has an integrated radio feature which supports a FM tuner & a radio data system known as RDS. The user can tune into their preferred radio station to listen to their favourite radio shows & music, plus the RDS feature provides text information from the radio station. Games can be enjoyed on the QUENCH & the user can add new games to their phone & play their games for entertainment. It's built in 5 megapixel camera comes with easy to operate setting & the user can edit their photos on their phone. There is an automatic focus feature & a LED type flash built in to the camera feature. The Motorola QUENCH supports GPS navigation which allows the user to enjoy a photo geo tagging feature on their phone. When capturing their photos the user can also capture location based information thanks to the built in GPS & geo tagging feature.

Communication & Messaging
A built in MMS service allows the user to communicate with other MMS compatible contacts by sharing photos or video with sound & text in a complete message. The user can communicate with online contacts in an instant messaging conversation which allows the user to share text & symbols in an online chat. The Motorola QUENCH comes with a direct push email service complete with Gmail support. A SMS style message can be shared amongst SMS contacts & can contain text with punctuation style symbols, plus the user can enjoy a predictive text input method. The user can communicate with friends & family with ease whilst enjoying this Smartphone's user friendly call features. The phone book holds all the users contact details including contact names & numbers. A speaker phone feature allows the user to chat to their contacts over the phones integrated microphone & speaker system for a hands free call experience.

Technology & Internet
This 3G Smartphone works over 3G HSDPA networks & 2G networks GSM 850, 900, 1800 & 1900. It will automatically switch between networks depending on the user network & connectivity needs. A fully charged battery will provide approximately five hundred hours of standby time when the handset is used over a GSM network or four hundred & fifty hours of standby time when used over a 3G network. The Motorola QUENCH supports GPS with A GPS navigation complete with a Google Maps application which provides detailed map information for the user to view whilst finding their desired destination. Its 3G HSDPA technology provides fast speed connectivity & its WiFi® technology allows the user to connect to the Internet via a WLAN or hotspot connection point without the use of cables. When the QUENCH is connected to other devices the user can transfer files at high speeds thanks to the phones built in EDGE & GPRS support. The QUENCH can be connected to other devices including the user's computer, laptop, printer & to other mobile phones. A micro USB connection can be gained using a compatible USB cable & the user can enjoy this easy to use connectivity option. A Bluetooth® connection can be gained between Bluetooth® compatible devices & the connection can be made with no cables necessary. The Motorola QUENCH comes with 512 megabytes of ROM & 256 megabytes of RAM. Its memory card slot supports MicroSD™ type memory & the handset comes with a two gigabyte card included, plus the user can add a card which is up to thirty two gigabytes in size if further memory is necessary. The QUENCH has a Google search facility plus the user can access social network websites on their Smartphone to catch up with friends on Facebook™ or Twitter™ plus view fun video clips on YouTube™.
