Overview
The Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is a 3G Smartphone which comes with a slim shaped casing & a varied selection of built in features to suit its user's mobile communication & entertainment needs. This touch screen designed Smartphone is from the same family as the Motorola MILESTONE & although these handsets differ in overall design they both share a selection of powerful capabilities & user friendly features. The MILESTONE XT720 is an imaging & camera focused Smartphone which comes with an amazing 8 megapixel digital camera, plus this handset has no opening systems providing its user with a full touch screen experience. This Smartphone supports an Android operating system version 2.1 & a variety of technologies which makes it a power Smartphone with fast connectivity to the Web.

Appearance & Size
Its casing weighs one hundred & sixty grams including its fitted rechargeable battery which is a solid weight for a Smartphone, although this weight will not weigh the user down when holding & carrying their new handset. The Motorola MILESTONE XT720 has a slim design casing which is only 1.09cm in depth & it is 11.6cm tall by 6.09cm wide when in its upright position, plus this Smartphone can be viewed & used in either horizontal or vertical mode depending on the features being used by the user. Its casing is mainly black in colour providing a smooth & sleek exterior finish, complete with chrome accents around the edge of the casing for a truly sophisticated appearance. Its 3.7 inch capacitive touch screen fills the front section of the casing providing the user with a colourful 16 million colour display & an impressive 480 pixel by 854 pixel screen resolution. Music is a fun way to pass away the time & the MILESTONE XT720 has a built in radio feature as well as a music player, allowing the user to enjoy a mobile music experience whenever the user desires. The music player supports popular formats of music whilst the radio feature supports FM tuning & a radio data system function for a visual & informative display whilst the user is listening to their preferred radio station. Its camera feature supports a wide selection of imaging focused features to ensure the user captures the perfect shot when taking a photo or recording a video. It has an 8 megapixel camera lens which is located on the back of the casing & this camera supports a smile detection feature, a geo tagging function, a xenon flash & an automatic focus when required by the user.

Customising ringtones will ensure the user can hear their handset ringing, so therefore will always pick up that all important call. The Motorola MILESTONE XT720 supports MP3 & WAV format ringing tones & the user can set their handset with the call ringtone & message alert of their choice. Messaging services provide a fast method of communication when a call is either not possible or not adequate for the users communication needs. The user can create an email which can be shared with other email compatible contacts, plus the MILESTONE XT720 supports Gmail™ email service if required. A SMS text message can be shared with others & is a quick way to share information using text & symbols to communicate. Picture messaging is a fun service known as MMS messaging & this allows the user to share their video clips & photos with others by creating a quick & easy message. When the user is online they can communicate with other instant messaging contacts that are showing as online, & enjoy an online chat using text & symbols in a conversation style message format.

Its 3G HSDPA capabilities allow the user to experience fast connectivity when desired plus use a multiple of features at the same time, for instant browsing the Web whilst taking a call. The Motorola MILESTONE XT720 works over 3G networks HSDPA 1700 & 2100 plus over GSM networks GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900, which will automatically switch between networks depending on the users network requirements. Its rechargeable battery is recharged via the power adapter provided & when fully charged the user can gain up to nine hours of 3G HSDPA talk time. There is a built in digital compass & the user can enjoy this Smartphone's navigation features as well as location capturing via geo tagging when capturing videos & photos. Its integrated assisted GPS with a Google™ maps application allows the user to gain step by step instructions to new locations. The MILESTONE XT720 comes with & expandable memory card slot which can hold up to 32 gigabytes of external memory plus there is 150 megabytes of built in memory, 256 megabytes of RAM, 512 megabytes of ROM & the handset comes with an 8 gigabyte memory card to get the user started. The user can connect to other compatible connectivity devices using either a USB connection or a Bluetooth® connection. Its WiFi® WLAN technology allows the user to connect their Smartphone wirelessly to a close by home hub or hotspot to gain a connection to the Web. A HTML Web browser comes with a Google™ search facility allowing the user to browse the Web whilst enjoy this easy to use search facility.

Android is the best.

I thought Moto had stopped making phones.

This phone may bring them (as a company) back onto the playing field, let's hope so they did so well with the RAZR etc but went rapidly downhill after that. My niece has this phone & she is thrilled with it, its Android which is a huge thumbs up IMO.

Just got the phone to replace my Sony Ericsson Vivaz. The touch screen is really responsive, so are the touch buttons. Phone is very fast. Loving the android 2.1, phone looks great too. Awesome phone! Love it.
