I've had this phone now for about 2 years & am now considering getting a new phone as I want one with the latest features etc.

The U8360 was a great buy when I first got it, but soon realised that the texting is very slow & annoying as I am a fast texter & it doesn't work out for me so I get frustrated easily.

The camera & video is alright but it's only 1.3 MP, which these days isn't the greatest.

Bluetooth connectivity is great for quickly picking up devices & sending files etc.

The size of the phone is pretty large measuring at about 28 cm's which stands out in your pocket a lot.

Fairly good phone otherwise LOL.

Superb phone! Had mine 3 years now & everything still works (as a bike courier in London it has been frozen, dropped, sat on & got soaked) & it all works A OK. Yes text is slow but I don't do much anyway. USB does work but not quite according to instruction so you need to be reasonably PC savvy to work around, though I can't get my PC to store the phone numbers properly, drops the O's from the front. Newer phones have better cameras but till I see a phone with the same standard as my Panasonic I'll stick to separate items for these different functions. Compared to the phones I started with which really were a brick it's not bad but is a bit thick, only real gripe is the external Ariel which catches in pocket, Bluetooth works fine too.

FOR THOSE WHO PLAN TO BUY THIS MOBILE, READ THIS!

Okay so, I own this Mobile Phone. Actually my second phone I've ever had. So, here's what need to be fixed to make it ULTIMATE, or close to it. First off, less laggy. It lags so much when you go around the menu & everything. Which doesn't happen to those newest Sony Ericsson or Nokia mobiles. Second, the design. Yea, there's no nice design I see. Some 'animation-glass' thingy should be needed, about every Sony Ericsson mobile got that. Well. The camera quality is really great, when I take a picture, then it looks really fine with the colors. & not like those Sony Ericsson mobiles, yes I know that the newest Sony Ericsson mobiles have good picture quality. However, the video quality is not good for me. Yes, the colors are still good but the 'Frames-Per-Second' is kind of bad & the quality should be improved too.

Well that's my review, thanks for reading.

It's an OK phone. It's quite chunky & it stuffs up all over the place, but it could still be a good option for people who want a phone with MP3 player as it has good sound quality. The USB software doesn't work.

OK it's a bit of a brick but on the other hand it does mean that it is indestructible. It has all of the rich features (apart from a radio, & overall it's a good buy. I bought the phone off eBay about 3 weeks ago as an upgrade to my U8360 but the only reason that I am upgrading to a K800i is because of the design.

A quick note to those of you who send text msgs a lot from their mobiles: This phone is VERY laggy when inputting sms messages. Often unbearable.

I've been through a lot of phones in my time & the only phone worst for texting than this one was the ancient, clumsy Ericsson A1018S.

The 8360 is feature rich but not practical. I don't go much on the design (too bulky, especially if you carry a few gadgets like me, you'll want a phone to be compact & easy to slip into a pocket) but that's a matter of choice.

It's the slow input that really lets this phone down. There are better alternatives that won't leave you so frustrated.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

I CAN NOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH, IT WILL BE YOUR WORST INVESTMENT EVER!

If you are looking for a phone, that you CAN have in your pocket that you CAN carry around WITHOUT feeling like you are carrying a brick & CAN learn how to use quickly, than this is not the phone for you.

It is way way way tooooo thick, & heavy, I have measured it, to be around 27mm (or about an inch). & is very impractical, although it does have a loud speaker when ringing, it does this odd thing where it starts off really quietly, & just as you are hearing it & its getting to the volume you set it, the call stops.

The black model always leaves sticky fingerprints on it, & looks quite cheap. The silver model the colour wears away on the edges & scratches very easily, & the green model does the same as the silver, except looks even worse, because it reveals this silver underneath.

The keyboard is confusing when you are first learning, but once you have the hang of it does become easier, however the text messages are very slow (so not a phone to have if you are going to be typing your message fast, & have to continuously wait for it) the reaction time it has when you open a folder (any folder, even menu) is irritating, & the camera has no zoom on it, so what you see is what you get.

The screen is quite large & can easily be read, & the display picture takes up the whole screen! :-D

The only other problem I have with it is that I am still in possesion with it, unfortunately was I mistaken, I hope that you don't fall for the same trap that I do.

P.S- I think that LG should be ashamed of the phone that they had produced. They were doing so well.

Good luck U8360'ers

I am very happy with this phone's features. The camera's quality is absolutely fantastic. Not the grainy quality I received from other 1.3 megapixel cameras that were perhaps much more expensive. The Bluetooth is great too for quick, easy use in transferring pics with my friends =)

The cons. I find the keypad design pretty silly because the keys are small so it's hard to text. This really only matters if you're a heavy texter like me.

I was able to work out how to work the machine without much time! In about five minutes! My four previous mobiles were Nokia so I was very used to that format by the time I bought this device. I recommend it totally. It works well for me & has all the features I really need.

Once again, LG have missed out the speakerphone, & really puts this model down. The handset is still to bulky, poor signal, & after a while, the rotatable camera becomes broken & will not easily move when u need it too.

Got the U8360 4 weeks ago & it is a cracking phone. I am over the moon with the 3G, Bluetooth, media player, camera as it's 1.3 mega pixel & clearer than my last phones camera. I am not one to send messages but I have tried out all of the services & they are very user friendly. I'm on the 3 network which is not a good as my last network provider (vodaphone). I have been recommending the LG phones to all I meet & this is not something I do lightly, so believe me this is a good buy, go grab one today.

Problems all the way so I am looking forward to search for my next phone. I have had one replacement & the replacement has it's own problems going on, I have lost faith in LG phones & want to return to Nokia or try a Sony Ericsson as their models look much more stylish than all the other manufactures. The LG U8360 is a waste of money & of time as the screens goes white all the time & the phone turns off when you go to answer an incoming call. I found that I was pressing the key to accept calls but nothing was happening. I have wasted enough time on LG phones & don't intend to waste anymore, just don't buy an LG phone would be my best advice.
