I bought this mobile phone. A week ago, it broke recently, glad it did because it was trash before that, its battery kept dropping out after each day, I suppose if it worked it would be good enough for a younger person. The preview picture of the mobile phone on the box looked great, but after purchase I took it out, wasn't what I expected, looked like cheap plastic. It kept dropping out during calls & had poor service. It's so hard to text with because the keypad is so slow, could never reply to people quickly because it was so slow, I SUPPOSE THATS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU BUY A CHEAP PHONE!

I liked the phone at the beginning but you realise that it doesn't have Bluetooth then you find it rubbish.

Great little phone. To send photos to a PC simply send to your email address instead of a phone number. You can change to letters instead of numbers, (there is an AT sign on the selection grid). No cable needed.

This is a pretty nice phone especially for teenagers. I have the red colour of this phone. It's easy to use & easy to carry. All in all a nice phone.

Well, I actually think this mobile is quite amazing. Its design is truly amazing & beautiful. It's got a VGA camera which is (in my opinion) better than most.

I like its design. I wish it had FM radio & better games & yes better rings. I think it doesn't support cable but it does support GPRS so thought Internet can transfer the files. If it true then this set is just a show piece.

I am searching for a USB cable. I had tried eBay & LG Australia as well as many phone accessories shops but had no luck as LG cables are hard to find.
I have just gotten a Nokia so I only had my LG less than 12 months but I gave it to my husband as he wanted a camera phone.
I am about to buy a USB cable on eBay which apparently is compatible to the KP202. I will be back to let you know whether or not to buy the cord. Cheers.

So cute! I have it in pink, being a girly teenager. I love that it is so small, as I have tiny hands I usually have difficulty reaching all the buttons when using a phone one handed, but this is perfect. Camera is of reasonable quality, rare in a cheap phone. Also the bright pinkness of it makes it easy to fumble for in my handbag. Bit disappointed with rubbish backgrounds & ringtones that came on phone. Although I had no problem downloading them, also wouldn't have minded if the external screen was still visible without the backlight on. I did also notice lag in texting & the inability to edit words in predictive mode once you have finished typing them.
All in all a good, clever, cute & cheap phone.

I think the score I have given this phone is fair because I agree with everybody that the features are rubbish but it's easy to use & I recommeded it highly to people who need a phone for a short while & if you like a basic phone!

Great, easy to use & stylish little phone. Personally I have better things to do than play, in my humble opinion, those time wasting so called games. I am in a marginal reception area & my KP202 holds its own against my Nokia & my friends Motorola. Judging by some of the other comments it would seem that maybe the company's quality control needs looking at. For its price, shop around, it's as good as anything on the market.

This phone is really good but on the Vodafone website it says that it has video picture but that's not true the keys are laid out very well but it should have Bluetooth but then it would've probably cost more.

Overview at terrible reception, input lag, trial games, this phone is rubbish!
Reception, half the time, reception drops out for no perceptible reason. At one point that my brother & I were in the same room, he had full reception, & I none. Then at other times if I move a few feet in one direction, there goes the reception again. Inconceivable!
Input Lag, every few words while typing, the phone will miss a letter I distinctly pressed, & I'll have to go back & retype a whole word or two. This is due to incredibly poor implementation, resulting in a laggy interface. Slow!
Trial Games, there are few games, & those included are all trial versions. Need I say more? Argh!
Do not buy this phone!

Fantastic little mobile phone, went to Spain clicked on network & chose manual to get onto best network, straight onto Orange network, was able to phone home without using international code number, no problemo. Only thing wrong, want to put photos into computer, don't know how, anyone know.

I got this phone for my birthday only 6 weeks ago & already it is not working! When you have the hands-free or the charger plugged in the phone switches itself off needless to say this is costing me a lot of money because I am constantly phoning people back. I took it back to Vodafone, which was the place of purchase, only to be told this is a common fault with this phone. If this is a common fault with the phone, then why is it still on the market!
I was then told my phone would have to go back to LG for repair which would take approx 6 weeks & if I required the use of a loan phone, it would cost me $199.00. So much for customer service! As far as I am concerned I will never purchase another LG product as long as I live.

It only cost me £20. Fantastic phone for the money, good battery life & compact. The screen is good, buttons layout good for my reasonably large fingers. I've already downloaded loads of games & apps, just search for free java midlets, the getjar site is excellent for games. Key response when entering sms texts not that great.

I've had no problems at all with it. It's a cheap mobile phone to make & receive calls & texts & that's all I need. The battery lasts over a week on permanent standby. Please don't complain about lack of features. You know this before you buy at this price. If I wanted a phone with loads of 'features' I would have paid a lot more.

Fair device for the price, but I was told I could get a cable to synchronise my Outlook contacts. Looks like I've been told a big fat porky pie. I can't find anywhere that sells them in Canberra. THUMBS DOWN!
Reviewer: Anita - Brisbane, Australia

Data cable? This phone has a data cable? Where can I get one? I bought an (overpriced) version of this phone recently while travelling overseas in New Zealand.
On the upside. This phone is small, lightweight & easy to use. Everywhere I go, people comment on how sleek & small it looks, which is nice, & I really have fallen in love with the keypad & screens & the pink version is easy to find in a hotel room (the black model would be forever getting lost in my handbag, luggage or car).
On the downside. I wish the designers had added a few extra grams to give it Bluetooth or infra-red or connectivity with a USB, because without them it's nearly impossible to download photos or get free ringtones without all the extra costs of texting or emailing & forget trying to browse the net for free because you can't tell when you're on a free website or not.
Also, the games are all duds. They're not only trial demos, they're very lame cliche trial demos that don't even include solitaire & what's worse, & they can't be deleted. Neither can the standard ringtones, & that's a real shame because all these lamer features are wasting valuable memory that could be used for customised ringtones, assuming it really is possible to download ringtones to this model. I've tried every method known to geek & PC so far & I am still unsuccessful. I've even tried recording songs from my high definition player at home using the phone's recording feature, but the quality on playback on the phone is so poor it's shameful. My dog can howl clearer under water.
Still, I live in hope that LG can invent a program fix of some kind that they'll be able to text to us one day & fix everything. Sigh. Oh, & it would also be nice if the car charger that's supposed to fit it, did.
All in all, I found it unusual for LG to introduce a new model to the market that has so many little bugs & nearly no online support.

I got this phone for my birthday & a few months later the front screen blacked out & the sound on it completely stopped. I had to send it back to the manufacture for a cleaning. I am supposed to be able to download ringtones on this phone but it won't. To prove that it can download tones is because it says how to in the manual but I can't actually download them..

WELL the PHONE IS REALLY GOOD & WHEN YOU GET the HANG OF the TOUCH SCREEN YOU ARE DONE. ONE DAY I LOST MY PHONE & I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ONE OF the KG800 BUT I CAN'T FIND ONE ANYWERE IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON GETTING ONE DON'T BOTHER BECAUSE THEY ARE EASILY LOST.
The PHONE IS GOOD FOR SONGS CAUSE YOU CAN LISTEN TO IT PUT LOUD & IT'S cool. JUST NEVER GET the PINK ONE OR the WHITE ONE. JUST GET the BLACK ONE.

For the price this is a great stylish phone that would be perfect for young teens who just want to text.
The only real beef I have & it's annoying enough to put me off buying one again is you can't delete embedded files such as the demo games to free up memory space & it also appears you can't delete single games, you have to delete all of them in one foul swoop. Much to my Daughters dismay.
Wish it had USB port or at least infra-red, but can't complain, they've cut down on features to make this a cheaper phone.

Bought one today for a customer, but where my old LG mobile (U8380) can get three bars this one struggles to get one. I may have a lemon. If not, this phone has issues with fringe reception areas. It goes back to the shop on Monday.

The phone was sold as a Virgin phone by Argos - who said that games/music etc could be downloaded from the Virgin site. This is untrue - the phone is not supported by Virgin & the Argos advertising is false & the Virgin operator couldn't care less about my complaint!

It's a good little phone but as everyone says it's very hard to find anywhere that sells the data cables for these phones I even rang LG up & they said they are available from carphone warehouse which is untrue they don't sell them for the LG KP202 neither can you find the software on LG's website like they said when I rang them. But all in all it's a great phone.

The LG kp202 is a handy & really useful mobile phone (except for the fact that it only has 2 mb memory). I am currently looking for a usb data cable so that I don't have to use up money for airtime while downloading games. Anyone know if its compatible with a data cable?

I am an older person, I have just upgraded to this Phone at the Orange shop. I only used my previous phone which I bought in 2003 for phone calls as I couldn't understand the menus, however within the first couple of hours I had text my son (he was amazed as he thought I was passed it. Ha! ) & have personalized all the settings & taken a photo & pasted it as my wallpaper, none of which I managed before. This phone is so easy to use.

For me this scores 100% all round. I use a phone to talk to people & maybe a couple of text messages a year. Do not need a camera or video or web or mail or MP3 any other 'features' that seem to be more important than usability. I could do with a case though.
Very easy to use, transferred the details from old SIM card very easily & kept my old number. If you want a basic (ish) easy to use phone you won't go far wrong with one of these.

I have one & so does my wife. Great price & simple enough for my wife to use (hope she doesn't read this). All the features we wanted in fact more than we really need.
Disappointed with the games (what games!) 45 seconds worth of demos only. Bit of oversales in the sales pitch I think.
Wish I could find a data cable (rs232 connection I believe not USB) Camera takes 640x480 pics but how do I get them out of the camera? & a leather case, it's not going to last long in my pocket without one. Why doesn't anyone sell leather cases?
Reviewer: Graham Miller - UK
