Have had this phone a year been back four times to Carphone Warehouse they could not fix it cannot give you exchange keeps doubling up texts or cutting off while speaking. I had to send it to LG then the real trouble started. It took them 2 month to look at it made lots of calls then was told they had lost it then found it again. Then out of the blue it has arrived back with no letter to say sorry, had to buy a new phone would not touch this phone with a barge poll if won it in a raffle would had it back. Worse phone I have ever had LG not much help either.

I can't stand the thing! I had it a day & it kept freezing, turning off & it went to the front screen all of the time even without touching a button. Its camera is rubbish & it holds about 20 songs. It is the worst phone that I have ever had. The only good thing about it is that it looks nice but overall the phone is totally rubbish.

Had this phone now for a year, finally bought a new one, Nokia 3600 slide & am so glad I did.

Loved it at first, nice design & nice smooth feel.

However, battery takes 2 hours to charge. The alarm stopped working every now & then, had to reset factory settings to get it to work again. Every phone call is difficult, could hardly be heard by other person. Screen kept blacking out. Camera is useless, rubbish zoom & flash facility. Touch screen very sensitive, surprised it didn't get thrown out of the window! Spent time putting all my contacts into groups, the phone just messed them all up & changed groups, so I had to go back & take groups off.

Spent too much time on this phone trying to sort out problems rather than enjoying it, Do not buy it.

This is the worst phone I ever had in my life the charge in it is rubbish it hasn't got a very big memory & it gets damaged easily I had it 2 days & the screen went black so I took it back in to the shop & they changed it for me so the next one lasted a few weeks before on that one I couldn't hear if the phone was ringing when I was calling them I also couldn't hear it when I picked up the phone (them on the other end) it is a rubbish phone I would waste your money on it. I bought this phone because it looks good, & yes it is a very pretty phone, but apart from that, it's pretty useless. Granted, there are some features, but they are pretty limited, you can't even multiple select messages to delete, you either have to delete them all or one by one! The camera's a bit slow to start up, & it's impossible to find the photos you've taken or stored on your phone, you can't go through your photos either, you have to open it, go back to the menu & open another. I don't recommend this phone at all.

I loved this phone when I first saw it because it looked so cool. I got it in lilac for £50 & was really pleased, but it scratches so easily! The battery life is OK, unless you want to play music, which drains the battery. You can only store a few songs anyway.

It is easy to find things in the menu screen, & the number buttons are a perfect size, but the touch pad can get quite annoying!

Recently I have experienced problems with the phone, it freezes up & the screen goes white, the battery drains quickly & the speakers aren't brilliant.

However, it has lasted me over a year, so it's not as if it will only last you a few weeks!

I had this phone for about a year now. The features on this phone are very limited & the battery needs charging at least two hours a day.

My one constantly keeps switching off & erases, all the memory, & the camera is completely useless, as the flash doesn't work properly & there's no good zooming quality.

Don't MAKE the MISTAKE OF BUYING THIS PHONE!

Initially when I bought this phone, it was all good. I purchase it purely for the looks even though I knew it had very limited functions & all.

Until it starts to automatically switch off when I am in the midst of typing a SMS. IT IS VERY IRRITATING! Makes you want to throw the phone on the floor when you've just typed a very very long message.

& now, the battery is giving me a lot of problems. It lasts for only about a phone call? Now whenever people call me, I need to tell them to talk faster because my phone is going to switch off very soon : (. Maybe it is the battery fault, not the phone. I don't know.

Overall, I am not satisfied & am changing it very soon. Like finally.

At first I thought this phone was the best but I have started to realise that it isn't so brilliant.

I have had it for a year. I am not saying the camera isn't good because it is it's a great camera it has a great MP3 player & all the rest of it the only thing is the memory is rubbish & you can't get a memory card for it this is as specially annoying as I have less memory on it than I am supposed to in the first place. Apparently it is supposed to have 128MB but instead I have 1.7 this is silly & I can't even store 1 song on it.

Overall I would say that this phone is maybe not the worst but not the best either.

Just to say that I am not a mobile phone fanatic, just an older, very occasional user. Had to change my 10 year old phone for something & liked the look of this. Have only had it for one day but I am really impressed, especially at the PAYG offer from Carphone Warehouse of £24.42.

Some points.
- It is not easy to find out how the keypad lights up, but turn Power Saving to off.
- You need a REALLY light touch on the touch sensitive controls, but once you learn the art it's easy. It's just not suitable for walking down the street with a drink in one hand & trying to work the phone with the other.
- Camera seems quite good.
- For me a really well designed phone at low cost that does all I want very well. Remember it was over £200 a couple of years ago.

I thought it looked like a good design & they let me have a go in the shop, it felt good as well. I brought it in May, but by October it started to play up & I could not have a good conversation with anyone if it was for over 1.5 minutes, because when the screen blacked out so did the speakers but the other person could hear me but I could not hear them so I don't recommend this phone & I am trying to find the receipt & send that lump of rubbish back!

I bought this phone roughly 6 months ago, but have only been using it for about 2. I was half way through listening to a song on it when the speakers suddenly stopped working, the phone now creates no noise at all. Also, It's so easy to scratch, I keep this phone in a pocket on its own, all my other things in my other pocket & the screen looks like it's been rubbed on a grater.

The camera feature is relatively good, but takes a little while to load & is tricky to master. The memory is not expandable, but is satisfactory for fulfilling all required functions. The PC software it comes with is completely dysfunctional.

Overall, a relatively good, nice looking phone with a few handy features, but doesn't last long at all & doesn't quite do what it says it should.

I loved this phone when I first got it because the design was so cool. I had it in pink & it was basically my dream phone. It was really good until about 3 months. The battery life became rubbish. I had to charge it every single night otherwise it would die the next day. The touch pad didn't work very well because it had gotten quite dirty. It's a massive effort because your hands have to be clean when you use it otherwise grease clogs up & you have to press hard. The vibrating alert is really long & the alarm doesn't work when I set it.

I wouldn't buy this phone if I were you, it looks really cool but it's actually not a good phone.

This phone is absolutely brilliant! What I think.

Media.
- Bluetooth, Very good, hard to navigate to.
- Camera, Brilliant for 1.3 megapixels. Flash easy to turn on & off.
- Video, Very good. A bit blurry without flash. Limited video time. Easy to use.
- Games, Bad. Anyone like Sudoku?
- MP3 player, Good. Easy to get tracks onto phone but some songs put stress on the speakers. Easy to use.

Customising.
- Menu Backgrounds, Good. Only silver & black, but very well designed. No custom backgrounds.
- Main screen Background, Very good. Custom allowed, easy to navigate to.
- Colours, Limited since it only comes in lilac, pink & black. Lilac stylish, pink vibrant, black cool.
- Ringtones & sounds, Very good. Loud n clear.

Size.
- Handset, Very good. Small & light.
- Screen, a bit small, can't display videos from some phones.
- Navi keys, Good size. Bit sensitive.
- Text keys, Very good. Designed well & durable.

Lots of people moan about this phone, but I have had it for 2 years now & it has worked reasonably well. However I have had to have it replaced before, the phone screen went blank every now & then & the camera took all of the pictures in a purple or green colour, which was quite annoying. It takes a lot of time to get used to & I would have preferred a phone that holds more texts. If you are looking for a phone to take videos or play music on I would not recommend this, as the battery life is really bad. This weekend I had charged it for over 10 hours, & it was working fine until I started taking a 30 second video, & then it went from full battery straight down to low battery, it needs to be constantly charged so I find myself having to switch between this phone & my old one. The Bluetooth transferring is painfully slow. As far as the signal goes, it is not that bad, but I find I don't get signal at home apart from in certain small places, & it still isn't enough to make a call. The phone when on outdoor settings is pretty loud, so it's easy to hear when you get a text, but while you are using the phone to call somebody it is a different case entirely & it is very quiet.

All in all, it can last a long time but may need to be replaced once in its lifetime, the battery life definitely brings down its usability, but it is the sort of phone that can be easy to use & good once you have gotten used to it.

I think this phone is gorgeous to look at. Fantastic MP3 quality but after a while I do find that the volume tends to lessen so it is hard to hear. Also while you are in call it can be hard to hear the other person you're talking to unless. My phone is unlocked & I find I get good signal with any SIM card I have in it. However there was one incident where I tried to download a tone & the battery died & when I charged the phone up I found all the MP3 tones I already had on the phone had automatically deleted. The battery runs low very quickly. But I will still recommend this phone to friends.

I got this phone for my birthday & for the first couple of weeks it was great but it soon became unreliable, it would run out from a full battery in about an hour. When I took the battery there was a huge crack in the battery, then the touch pad stopped working & I had to press a corner of the screen for it work at all. I wouldn't recommend this phone to my worst enemy.

Phone is good to start with (lasted a good few months), looks good but after a while it never gets signal, scratches easily, very quiet ringtones so you cannot hear it ring unless you are in a silent place, poor camera, the alarm clock broke, hardly any memory & the battery goes down to one bar after you send a few texts in a row. Would be a good phone for someone who only wants a cheap phone to send the odd text & call now & again.

I have had this phone for a good few months now & it's one of the biggest mistakes that you can make, the phone is good at first with its nice style but the annoying uncooperative touch screen is a pain & the screen used to regularly freeze & turn white but now it stays white all the time without fail. Anyone who has this phone would probably agree with me.

I had a Motorola RAZR in pink, but was bored & wanted another phone. I had seen the LG Chocolate around, a few of my friends had it, so I thought that as it was so pretty with it's gorgeous design, I would buy one.

DO NOT BUY THIS MOBILE PHONE, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY!

I get it home & charge it, & things are looking good. The touch screen is glowing beautifully & it looks so lovely, until you turn it on.

Rubbish features, the camera is shocking quality, shown even more so when you upload your photos onto the computer, & they're all grainy & the memory fills after about 10 songs have been put on your phone. & then you can only keep about 6 text messages. It actually is rubbish.

& then the problems started, the turning off, the flashing screen, the freezing.

Worst phone I have ever had. Touch screen is impossible to get used to, features are poor, & lack of memory is annoying. Only holds 150 texts & then you have to delete them all. & will just give up on sending texts if you have signal. Will not try to send them again when it has signal. Which is very rare anyway. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE, get a Sony instead. That's what I am doing!

I really like this phone & it has done pretty much nothing to disappoint me for the last 10 months that I have owned it. However, it is not completely reliable as I once went to turn it on, & it wouldn't, so I took the battery off, put it back on & it worked. It happened again recently so I took the battery off, put it back on, & turned it on. It got as far as the keypad lighting up, & then turned itself off. It carries on through this cycle & will not stop unless I take the battery off. It is really annoying, but thankfully it is still under warranty. Phew!

WHITE SCREEN. If your screen changes to white or blank, also if the device turns itself off, the problem is probably the flex cable, You can get one from eBay for a few dollars or find a fix online using Google or you tube. Good Luck.

Overall I loved this phone, got it in a sale at like, 50 quid, & this was about 8 or 9 months ago. I don't know why you are all whining so much because it works perfectly fine for me. I've dropped it & it still works perfectly.

I just got the new LG KS360 & gave my LG Chocolate to my Mum, she's happy with it.

Mine has scratched yes, but hardly. It only gets totally scratched if your careless & do not look after it, it seems like a lot of you haven't been looking after your LG's.

I'll admit sometimes the touch screen is a little dodgy, but not too much, more often than not it worked for me first time & if it didn't I wouldn't get impatient & smash the phone around or try to pick faults, but I'd just press it again.

It has fair battery life but not whilst playing music or videos. Take your charger out with you. I found that the memory was fair also if you teenagers want a phone to play your MP3's on then go & buy a Sony Ericsson & stop complaining.

This phone has been my best phone so far, & I am sure the 360 will beat it, but for now, get the Chocolate while it's cheap. It's worth it if you just want it for calls or texts. It's a good phone.

Good points, pretty, shiny, compact.

Bad points, easily scratched, hardly any memory, bad camera, hard to text on, rubbish signal, can't multi delete, can't put pictures or messages into folders, overall very unorganised, too quiet, keys don't light up, freezes, shocking battery life, can't have MP3 tones as text alerts, buttons are sometimes too sensitive & other times not sensitive enough & the list goes on.

I've had this little champ for ages now & not only that but my brother had it before me & it's still running nearly as well as it did when it was new.

I love the touch screen, the only problem is because it's very old now, when the battery starts to go, the touch screen doesn't work but that's very easy to sort out because as soon as I plugged in the charger, its fine again. Also I have always had problems with the signal but it's very bad now & the little door that covers the charger hole now doesn't close. Other than that I have had no problems with the phone but I feel that it's a little old now so I am moving on to the Sony Ericsson K770i but I am still keeping this one as a spare because I've got very attached to it.

My contract runs out in 1 month & quite frankly I can't wait to see the back of this phone. It's HORRENDOUS!

The battery life is shocking, I initially had the slim battery but it got to the point where the battery didn't even last a day. So switched to the big battery & that's just as useless, lasts 2 days max on standby.

As for the touch pad, well its pants. I don't know if it's just this phone or all touch pads, but it's so in accurate. I don't exactly have large fingers but I continuously press what I think is one thing & end up doing something else.

The key pad is very slow & can't keep up with what your texting & it always misses out letters that you know you have typed so always having to correct which is very annoying when you want to send a quick text.

Every now & then the phone completely freezes & doesn't respond to anything apart from having the battery taken out which is highly inconvenient.

This phone is rubbish. I have had this phone since November & I HATE it. It is really hard to text on & it won't receive phone calls only random ones but I am not sure if that is because of the network or not. There is no speaker on it when you are on the phone & the volume doesn't go very high. The camera is of a good quality but when I want to take a picture fast it is the worst camera for that job. I know I bought a touch screen phone but I never realised how annoying the touch screen is. I don't like the settings on it at all. The Bluetooth on the phone is very slow. It is pathetic. When I want to send a song to my phone it takes about 20 minutes for an average length song when it only takes about ten min on my old phone. & also when you want to change your ringtone you have to change it on every caller group, there is about 7 & also when my sister wants to send me a picture. It says that the file is not supported. Also my friend has bought this phone & after having it for just 1 month she hates it. Therefore I am getting a new phone after about eight months because I can't stand it. & I am looking forward so much. Goodbye LG.

Design, amazing, this phone will stun anyone its very thin & the black design is so great 'does get scratched but what mobile doesn't.

Usability, I gave this 95% that reason because if you have had a long history & got used to pressing button the touch buttons on the LG chocolate are annoying when you are not used to it but I mastered them in the first week.

I absolutely love this phone! I have had mine for about 7 months & I haven't had one single problem with it. The battery last for days. The memory is great. I have 200 songs on my phone & I still have 64MBs left. The sound quality is awesome. The camera is even better! The camera has so many settings on it that it's practically impossible to catch a bad picture. I love the screen & the rich quality of picture it puts out. I can tell a huge difference between looking at my phone then looking at someone else's. A world of difference! I have dropped my phone. Dropped it in water. Doesn't even have a scratch on it. It never malfunctions. I absolutely love the navigation system on it!

For people who talk about dropped calls & poor service. That's your phone provider's fault. Not the phones fault.

When I first got the phone the navigation wheel annoyed me, but not that I am use to it, I have no issues with it at all. I love all the different kind of text messages I can send along with emails & the voice commands.

The memory has been more than enough for me, I have 250 photos, fifteen songs, & thirty videos, with still 22.6MB left :).

I would recommend this phone for people who want a phone for the features & having a trendy phone, I wouldn't recommend it if you would be using it for work a lot.

& for those who moan about not getting a sign a, it isn't a problem with the phone, it's probably your network!

PS, battery life is not very good, but charging every other day is usually enough.

I've had this phone for a few 6 months, got it really cheap at 38.00gbp at the link online, & I haven't had any great problems with it, I would say it is a simple easy to use standard phone, has got a lot of things on it, great for someone who wants a great looking phone & just texts or calls, I got a new phone today because I like to use the Internet & camera a lot & the LG chocolate isn't great for that, it HAS got a poor battery life & recently it has started switching itself off if it loses signal & if you slide the slider up & down to quickly but that's about it. I have had a lot of worse phones & I will be keeping this as a backup in case my new one breaks (I would be sad to see it go).

I love this phone I would recommend it, it looks great, the camera & video are great, & the memory OK, I can't have too many songs, but that's because I have so many videos.

The only problem I have with it is that the battery is not very good, it tends to run out pretty quickly, but then again I have had this phone for well over a year. I only ever use it on vibrate, so I don't mind about the tones, but overall I really like this phone, & I looks GORGEOUS, especially in pink.

It has broken on me once or twice, then when it recharges I go to my messages & pictures & songs & it says empty, so I panicked the first time, but then they all came back after a few seconds.

Great phone, I love it xxx.

The LG Chocolate phone is the most gorgeous thing you could look at. It sleek, stylish & has that mysterious look to it.

BUT that's where it stops! The battery life if appalling, & the memory isn't too big either. Despite reading all the bad reviews, I went ahead & bought it. & now. The screen has cracked on the INSIDE so I can hardly see the screen! How it happened, I don't know, because I treated this thing like my baby! I have to get a different phone now, but I am still gutted.

AS WELL, the new text alerts are very quiet, so I am constantly missing texts & calls. The MP3 if good, but the camera could be better. The phone keeps switching itself off when in my pocket & the screen once went blank.

I was very happy with this phone until it started giving trouble, but if you want a phone that LOOKS great, buy it.

I know at least 4 people who have had this phone & the same thing has happened to them all. The screen will either go blank, freeze, or go negative, when it's slid open. After sending it off for software repairs, it happened again after 3 months. It's now past its year warranty (despite being fixed for the same problem only 3 months ago) & LG don't want to know.

You can't change the text ringtones to ones you upload (the only OK one of the 4 available is a very quiet car horn). No loudspeaker. Terrible battery life when watching videos or listening to mp3s.

It's a shame because it's one of the sleekest designs I've ever seen, it really is gorgeous. When you first use it & get used to the touchpad (which can get annoying sometimes when you stray over to the next button slightly), it's very satisfying. However, it is easily the worst phone I've had because it's software is so awful. I am back onto Nokia's as soon as I can upgrade. I'll turn a blind eye to any LG products from now on.

Hey I just wanted to say that many of my friends have this phone & I am getting one soon. Out of around 15 friends with chocolates only 1 had hers repaired. Because of this I'd advise you not to buy one from abroad because to get it repaired under guarantee you usually have to send it to the shop you bought it from.

I am surprised to hear many people say that they have low features. By the way this is to all those who said something about there being no speaker volume, the Speaker Volume Is On the Side Of the Phone (There Are Two Arrows)!

Have fun with your phones whatever they are & by the way, what's with all the hater comments? If there is something you truly don't like mention it don't just state how much you don't like it!

I am also wondering about the colours. The only ones I heard of are strawberry, black, white, mauve, brown & lilac. Are there any others?

Very badly designed, as when deleting messages from your inbox, it takes you straight back to the first message each time. Pretty annoying when you've got 150 texts in there which by the way is the maximum it can hold.

When I first got it I noticed the battery only lasts just about 2 days then I noticed you can turn on power save & if you lower the brightness & turn the power save on the battery will last longer so if you get the LG KG800 look on the settings & find power save this make the battery last a little longer.

I've had this phone for 15 months now. Although I think the phone is very sexual looking & so easy to use. It's been playing up! It's been fine for around a year. Now it cuts out when I am on a call, battery life is about 12 hours, I have to recharge it nightly & whilst on charge if I get a call or a text. I can't look or answer & if or when I pull out the charger, it calls the last number on my call list, by its self. & it will send a reply to a text blank by its self.

It switches itself off in my bag. I get around 30 minutes call time before the battery dies, but when I put it back on. The battery life goes up? Self charges. Ha ha.

It's quite annoying. I have ordered a new battery let see if that helps. I love the phone, also I have learnt to text in the dark. As the keypad doesn't light up!

If the battery is fully charged it will be empty after 2 short phone calls & a couple of texts. If you want to listen to music or want to use the camera make sure it's fully charged & you are able to charge it straight after. Quite annoying.

The touch pad is OK you get used to it, texting is fine. You can't get any other pictures sent from another phone because they are always too big. Doesn't matter what kind of mobile it's coming from.

Worst parts are the text message tone is so quiet & vibrate function is poor (On this point alone, I returned it). Predictive text doesn't remember words that you save & if you're used to texting fast on a Nokia, the LG will disappoint you. It took me ages to write texts!

THIS IS the WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER HAD & I've had a few!

I bought it 4 months ago. Almost straight away the phone would turn itself off & on again & when you have pin, it doesn't just turn itself on again while in your pocket! It would cut out during calls & texts & well just about everything really!

& it wasn't just turning off & on occasionally it was like 20 times a day!

If I got a text it would vibrate until I read the text. Because I leave my phone upstairs sometimes it was vibrating for 3 hours!

It would randomly scroll through stuff. Messages, memos, contacts etc & all you could do was sit & watch it & then to stop it you had to turn it off.

When writing texts it would suddenly just decide to send it half way through, not as bad if your not replying to someone & it doesn't have somebody to send it to automatically but bloody annoying as anything if you are replying!

The touch screen would freeze ALL the TIME & the only way to sort that out, was to turn it off & on again, that especially used to drive me barmy!

Also when your listening to music through the MP3 you can't go out of that & do something else like text someone, I know that's not a fault but that's just real annoying!

& now. After 4 months, I bought it as brand new phone. I pull it out of my pocket last night & it's got a bright white screen with a bit of black streak. So I think oh goody another fault, turn it off & on. & it's just utterly & completely broken.

DON'T buy this phone! The worst thing EVER & I will NEVER buy another LG again!

LG chocolate kg800 is one of the more distinct phones & has been on the market for quite a while now & it still never gets old. This phone consists of three major parts the touchpad, the key & number pad & the back. This phone has a good spring inside that when you open it, it doesn't feel like it's going to break. It feels natural. The chocolates touch pad is quite unique it feels & works very well but sometimes you may end up hitting the wrong key. The slide out key pad is good to some degree. The buttons aren't hard to hit & they feel very good once pressed & respond in a fast way, although if you have big fingers you may have trouble hitting some of the keys. The battery life is a tad above average & the screen is nicely illuminated. One bad thing about this phone is that if you have big hands than this may not be the phone for you.

Overall this is an awesome phone & I would recommend it to anyone.

It is completely fine. The speakers are very loud & the camera is awesome. However don't buy this phone on contract it's a waste of money buy it pay as you go & it's a lot cheaper I have found. If yours breaks I suggest instead of moaning you take it back & get a new phone. The battery life lasts about three days which isn't that bad. Also it does what it says it does, so if your a gadget freak, don't buy this phone. It's for looks & simplicity. Lastly the touch pad works very well & is very easy to use. Another nasty thing about this phone not mentioned so much in the review is the lack of the keys lighting up, it is absolutely hopeless if you need to text in dim light. I have never had a phone where you cannot see the keys before.

People say the touch screen is over sensitive, no it is PERFECT. 1.3 mp camera video & voice recorder (camera with flash) MP3 player (30 SONGS, well it isn't exactly a Sony Ericsson is it now! ) Fabulous design, web access, alarm, calculator, unit convertor, world time & Bluetooth I'd especially recommend pink, it's sleek & great for girls it also comes in cherry, lilac, black & white you think that's great well for all that lot it comes in at. GO BUY IT TODAY.

The design is really nice but that is where it stops! The camera is poor & takes forever to focus after I have clicked the Capture button. The features are basic. It is quite hard to text because you have to press the buttons quite hard. The touch screen buttons get a bit annoying as well. It does not have extendable memory so space is very limited. You can only store about 20 songs, it may sound a lot but it's not! I would not really recommend this phone to anyone.

I have had this phone on contract for nearly 12 very long months & am counting down until I can replace it. This has got to be one of the most horrible phones ever to have been manufactured!

It looks gorgeous & is sleek & stylish & I loved the touch screen at first but. Battery is pants, you can't change message tone & I have missed so many texts because there are only 4 tones to chose from, girls who where make beware of this phone because has large screen you end up with half your make up on it after a call! , key pad doesn't light up in dark, screen scratches very easily & I have never been able to use the software that came with it! So have been unable to download music etc other than via Bluetooth which takes 6 months to transfer data! Seriously stay away from this phone, go get a Nokia or Samsung instead :).

I got this phone about a year ago for £150. I can't believe what a waste of money it was! The camera has broken 3 times already as well as the touch screen.

If you want a nice looking phone then I suppose it's okay, but for the features , I'd say that it is pretty poor.

I bought my daughter this phone for Christmas. Good on the outside, nice design etc & the touchpad is in theory a nice feature. However, from day one, the phone has had a habit of doing everything that you ask it to perfectly within 5 minutes of picking it up & then. The phone develops a mind of its own. Totally random scrolling through menus, up & down, pressing OK on its own & entering different menus & files, even making calls. All whilst you sit there & watch it, totally bizarre, ultimately frustrating.

This goes on forever, the only way to stop it is to turn it off. Then on restart it's great again for 5 minutes or so, then off we go again.

So, in my experience a piece of flawed genius. I am sure it must be faulty touchpad.

It's a nice phone, I have had it for about a year now. Although I am about to get a new one. There has been no technical problems, it's just it misses key features. The battery power is quite poor, it's let me down loads of times just when I needed it the most. The memory is quite low, & you can't expand it. It has always said my inbox is to full at only 140 texts or so, I am forced to delete some every time. The ringtone keeps changing itself, I can't set it to my own tune because it always goes back to one that came with the phone. The camera quality is also quite poor, I need better pictures. Apart from that thought (LOL), it's a nice phone & I didn't have any technical issues with it. If you are just looking for a stylish phone that you just want to use as a phone & texts, then go for it.

I am now on my second chocolate phone, but not due to my first one breaking! I bought my first chocolate whilst on contract as I got impatient waiting to upgrade & just HAD to have the chocolate phone (was very new out & cost me a fortune). I absolutely adored this phone when it arrived & couldn't stop playing with it for hours!

Everything about it was ideal & it lasted me a full year with plenty of drops, smashings & soakings, & it survived well. It even got passed onto a friend when I upgraded (to another chocolate! ) & it lasted her well until it took a nasty drop & broke.

However the story with my new LG chocolate is very different, my first one really impressed me & I didn't hesitate in getting a new (free) one when I had the chance.

However I am now 4 months away from my upgrade (after having it nearly a year) & my phone has given up. The screen freezes, it changes colour often (from purple to silver etc) & it often freezes on a blank white screen as many others have said. This has disappointed me as my first one really impressed me, whether this is down to laziness in producing them now they aren't as new I don't know. I am currently looking to buy a new phone before my upgrade as this one is just driving me insane! Constantly having to switch it off & on again to get rid of the white screen!

The only downside to the features of the LG Chocolate (well the first one! ) is the lack of speakerphone, & I couldn't store very many songs. The battery life got worse over time but wasn't any worse than other phones I have had. However it gave you very little warning when it was dying!

Overall I have loved my chocolates, even though this one has let me down at the end I still love it as a phone, they are surprisingly very durable & tough. The USB cable is great & very easy to use, uploading songs & photos couldn't be simpler. Last year I would have screamed at you to buy one, however the quality seems to have dropped. The style remains stunning, definitely a head turner. They are really cheap phones to buy now, so I would recommend it as they don't cost much at all!

It's sleek & stylish, people complain about the touchpad, well if you read any information about the phone it TELLS you it is a heat sensitive pad. It has a lot of storage & is easy to use. I love it!

My only question, how do you lock your messages from prying eyes? I could do it on my old phone but not on this, lots of phones can't do it but is there a way?

I have read reviews, on the new phone I want to get, & the reviews didn't seem that good. Mates got the phone & said it was great. So decided to come on the reviews of the phone I have got now & I have read the negative ones, & I am totally against them. Haven't had any problems with them phone, my battery don't last as long as it used to, but that's my fault not the phones, because I have charged the phone too much & have made the battery life too low. I personally think the phone is very stylish ;). Also the camera is really good well I thought, it's a phone not a camera. It's for texting & calling, & the camera for a phone I thought was very good. My phone hasn't turned off at all when it's not supposed to. Either people aren't treating it right, or have had bad luck. Or either I am treating it to well, which isn't like me. Dropped the phone, plenty of times on hard floors still working properly. So I totally disagree with all the negative comments on this phone. Only thing putting me off buying the new phone I want to is these negative comments.

If you like the look or sound of this phone, then go for it.

Had this phone for just about a year & I have to say after all the hype it got I am not impressed at all. The only good thing that came out of it was the fact when I bought it, it was £100 & two weeks after they dropped the price & the store I brought it from gave me 20 quid back. The predictive text is terrible & will not store abbreviated words so you have to type them in manually every time. It does not save any ring tones you want to be played when the phone rings, it deletes photos without asking, the picture quality is terrible, the memory is terrible & will only store a few songs before going into complete meltdown, not to mention the fact the battery only lasts two maybe three days at the most. The touch sensitive buttons are OK but don't try to use if you are out in the cold (because they won't respond) or if you are too hot (they will work without you touching them! ). Hh yeah & it switches off without any notice too which is great when you're on a call or in the middle of writing a text. The look of the phone is nice & stylish & small enough to fit into a pocket or bag but if you want a phone to use on a regular basis without getting very stressed with it don't get this one. Looking to get a Samsung in the very near future.

This phone is the worst I have ever had.

At first I loved it, it was perfect for a teenage girl like me, it's a stunning phone to look at & a must have fashion accessory. After I got over the looks I realised the phone had many bad points. It has a habit of switching itself off during texts, even if the battery is full. The camera is very poor, & eventually just stopped working. I can never get a signal even if I am outside. The phone is prone to horrible, visible scratches which make it lose its stunning look.

I learned to live with these, but when I switched it on the other day it was just a plain white screen. I couldn't even turn it off. I took it into the shop & they said it was my fault. I knew this wasn't true as I am careful with the phone, but they are refusing to repair it! DO NOT GET THIS PHONE.

At first it was fine, a few problems but I could live with them. Like the camera crashing after 5 months, texting being really slow, if you are a fast texter it misses out letters, battery life not good, not enough memory & no slot for memory card, & finally, the Bluetooth transfer couldn't be any slower. But now, 7 months later, it has completely crashed. The screen is just pure white & the phone won't turn on.

I hate this phone with a passion! I've had my phone for about a year, & chose a nice pink version as I wanted something a bit funky at the time, & thought that LG would be a good brand. Before this, I had a Samsung & the texting function was rubbish on it.

Anyway, I loved my phone for the first month or so, it was a lot easier than the Samsung to use, & is a really stunning phone to look at. It has lots of nice wallpapers & tones, fairly easy to use, lovely exterior design & unusual in a nice way.

But after you get over the way it looks, & have to live with it, you soon come to despise it! My phone likes to switch itself off all of the time, low battery or not, particularly during texts. This is apparently a software default, & I did get it fixed the first time it happened. But the problem just comes back & never really goes. I couldn't get a signal in my flat either, & despite best efforts to protect the phone it is now extremely scratched. The sound quality is pants as well, & battery constantly changes how much it thinks it's charged. This isn't a phone for a medium to heavy user like myself. It's a phone for teenage girls who use it on the weekend.

I've now come to the end of my contract & gone back to a good old Nokia! I feel very happy that I can throw this piece of posing rubbish in the bin.

Whey hey!

Responsive when scrolling pics & when on MP3. Great memory. Jumpy with battery.

Enjoy.

The LG KG800 is a good phone. When I say phone I mean to phone people with because the camera is pretty good & it has that annoying thing where you can't' use MP3 for the message alert. Also all phones should have an option of extra memory which this phone doesn't have. I use it as my second phone & enjoy using it.

This was without a doubt the best phone I have ever had. I loved the design (I had it in pink) I also had it on pay monthly for a year. The camera for 1.3 mp was great. It was easy to use & never had a problem with touch sensitive buttons.

However, it broke in June this year, after having it for 6 months, the screen would go a funny colour, or white & the camera wouldn't work. I sent it away & it came back working but 4 months later, the same problem happened again. That's why I got a new phone but it's definitely not as good.

Four of my friends got the same phone & my mum after they saw mine, if it hadn't been for the breakage it would be fantastic!

Fell in love with it at first sight, very nice looking phone but I wasn't at all pleased. The memory isn't good only allowing about 30 songs to save & there is only a limited amount of memory for messages, only room for 150 messages.

Camera isn't that good & isn't quick to come on. My LG chocolate broke randomly (well I think randomly) as my screen starting going all white & I couldn't see what I was doing, but I could still hear the message tones go off & even my mobile ring.

I sent it away to get fixed & it took about 2 to 3 weeks or maybe more to replace the screen & when I got it back after a while it had broken again with the same problem, this time I had dropped it twice & the first time it only switched itself off & then came back to life.

Quite a good amount of my friends had gotten the LG chocolate & about 5/6 of them had their LG broke on them. Expected more & was overall disappointed.

If you're reading this review, you may well be considering this phone on the second hand market. For this it would be great. I've had mine for a year & I am, for the first time, considering staying with it without upgrading.

I like a phone to be a good phone not compromised by extra features. The video, camera, MP3 etc are all great, but I rarely use them. As a phone it is superb, small, light, stylish, reliable & user friendly. The battery life of the phone is still fantastic & I have never made a call by accident. Best phone I've ever had.

I have had this phone for a while & I love it the design is great, where a lot of people say the touch pad is hard to use I think it's very easy look around there are lots of phones with touch pad now & it isn't hard! My little cousin who is 6 can use it he thinks it's better having touch pad & easier!

OK so the memory could do with being a little bigger but you can't have it all, I think the battery is very good & keeps its charge very well. The phone also comes in two great colours (I have the pink), so overall I love this phone!

This phone in my opinion is a unique & unusual phone. It's really cheap now at a price of £40 to £60. You get what you pay for. It's a good phone which clearly has a brilliant sleek design. It has many features the best one the touch screen buttons but why are people complaining about it being too sensitive? It's a touch sensitive phone what do you expect it to be also it's a very cheap phone which is worth its money. The only bad thing is that the Bluetooth is awfully slow & can take about 2 minutes for a picture.

For the amount of money you're paying what do you expect it has a decent camera very stylist & if you want one it's the best time to get one! Many Thanks for Reading.

The touch keypad is quite annoying when it makes calls by accident but it's not too bad. I want to get the Nokia 7373 for Xmas because my mate has it & she says it's really good. I've had this phone for about 7 months now. The design is pretty nice, the glowing red touch-pad buttons are good & look half decent. The slide function is very strong unlike some of the Nokia slide phones which get weak & wobble after a month or two of sliding use.

I had a Nokia 3110 before this one & have only had Nokias before this one. This causes most of my issues I have with the phone I think. The most annoying thing for me was the predictive text. On the Nokia it automatically changes to uppercase lettering after a full-stop. Not on the LG. You have to cycle through all the other case options to get back to capitals.

As others have said the Bluetooth is average at best & very slow for file transfers. Having no memory card slot means you're going to be transferring files quite allot if you plan to use it for music. You will get fed up waiting for it to complete the download.

I found the touch sensitive buttons to work quite nicely & haven't had any problems with them.

The design is nice & makes it a very desirable phone for its looks but its software, features & Bluetooth issues ruin it. A real shame.

I am now upgrading to the Nokia 7500 Prism which has the distinctive looks, the features & it has the Nokia software too.

If however you just want a phone for taking/making calls only, this one does nicely & its price is always dropping.

This phone is gorgeous. I haven't had any problems with it & I've had it for a year. The camera is definitely of a high standard. The effects are an added bonus. Since buying it, many people I know have tried mine out & bought it. Bluetooth, no problems & much better than infra-red. The MP3 is very useful, considering it's not even a Walkman phone, it holds a LOT of songs. I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend.

Some have said (above) that the touch pad is too sensitive. Well DUH it's a touchpad. What are you meant to do, whack it with a mallet before it responds? Try buying a Nokia 3310. Modern technology is obviously not for you (the Nokia 3310 also comes with a GREAT black & white screen! ) the Sudoku has also been mentioned I believe. It's sad how people spend so many hours of their life using the games on their phones. I am not sure about this but I think most people get phones for communications? Who gives a monkeys about the games on a phone? Honestly, how often are you going to be so bored & have absolutely nothing to do that you will play on your phone? Get a life, buddy.

Having bought 2 of these phones at the same time last Christmas (1 for me & 1 for my daughter) I know there must be a fault with them, because we both experienced the same problems at the same time!

The screens going blurred, fuzzy & locking. Took them both back to CPW (as it was within the 1 year warranty). They were sent away to be fixed, my daughters came back fine, but mine was the same by the next day! But they did give me a replacement. So far it has been OK.

Although sometimes when I want to make a call, the other person can hear me but I can't hear them (the problem goes if I turn it off then back on). Touch screen is VERY sensitive. Have made calls & sent texts without realising! LOL It scratches very easily too.

The ring & volume isn't very loud. The thing I miss the most is being able to personalise my own ring tones. You have to use the LG preset ones. I would not recommend buying this phone. It was all hype when it came out. But the proof is in the reviews.

Can't wait for Christmas to get a new one! I want a SAMSUNG if my hubby is reading this! Ha ha.

It scratches incredibly easy, & the plastic is really weak. At this moment the battery is being held in place by a sticker, since the catch simply 'pinged' out a few months ago. Also the silver ring around the OK button has begun to wear away.

Also the clock seems to freeze until I slide the phone open, there are a few technical faults with the phone.

Basically it looks good on the shelf, but over time you'll realize how quickly it turns into a nightmare. Avoid this wolf in sheep's clothing!

I have had this phone for 10 months now & it has been an OK phone. The battery Life is Terrible though I charge it all night & alls I have to do is listen to a song & it the battery would go, I would be in the middle of a phone call & it would just turn off. It has frozen a few times too & also just went off for no reason. Sometimes I can never get a signal which is annoying when you want to send a text message to someone but can't because of the bad network service, It's a good phone but I don't think I would recommend it but that's just Me!

This phone is great. Why are all these people saying its rubbish? If you take good care of the phone you will be really pleased with it I have had mine on 18 month contract & I have loved the phone since I have had it. & I know people when you drop, it still works! I have had this phone or like I said 18 month & I have drop it many times. It's got dents & everything in it & it still works. The camera on it is much better than any other 1.3 mp it's more like a 2 mp. The sound is great as along with everything else. Also it's packed with everything headphones, charger, USB & USB rom etc. finished off in a lovely great designed box.

The reason why I place 95% for usability because I don't really if use the alarm & all the rest of it but if I did I know it would be great just like the rest off the phone. If you are thinking off buying this phone go ahead don't be put off by other people they probably have miss treated it.

I bought this phone in August last year, after having the Sony Ericsson k750i & experiencing no problems. I admit I bought it for the looks & didn't look much into the reviews!

Firstly in the first month of having the phone I had to send it back as when making phone calls the other person couldn't hear anything I was saying! I sent it back to the shop & was given a loan phone until mine was fixed!

Now I thought this was the end of my problems until the same thing happened twice again they refused to give me a new phone so just fixed the fault three times!

Even though the phone has had a number of problems I still loved the design of it, & was upset when it was stolen on holiday a year after purchasing the phone! I am now due for an upgrade & am looking more into the reviews so as not to have the same problems next time round! The features on it aren't great there OK the camera isn't amazing it's just good! As for the usability you just need to get used to the touch screen it's not hard, after a while!

Overall I do not regret buying the phone & even after all my problems with it I still love my phone & miss it : (.

It lacks quite a few of the major features that many phones that are in production now, have. I know people who work in the industry & they have said that this phone was cost cutting & that it is quite possibly one of the worst phones around at the moment.

That being said I personally have had very few problems with it. I am not that great with technology but even I am able to figure out how most of the applications work although some of them are a bit faulty. For instance I have trouble sending messages even though I have plenty of signal. The speakers & MP3 in general aren't that great, whilst writing texts the key pad is stiff & doesn't always work efficiently & the ring tone I have chosen works for some calls but not others (but maybe that is just me being simple! ) People are saying that the picture or the colour fades, I have had no such problems. It is not a great phone but it does what phones are meant to do & that is allowing incoming & outgoing calls. I would not recommend buying this phone there is no point you may as well spend your money on something that will last & continue working properly for a long time!

I have had this phone for a couple days now & obviously, nothing has gone wrong & I hope it stays that way! I absolutely love it, it's my first ever mobile phone & I bought it for $80 plus warranty, which is kind of idiotic if they can't repair a cracked screen (if that ever occurs).

I think I disagree with all of the negative reviews on this phone because it all depends on how you handle it. Handle it with care, or else it could cause problems.

I had the PINK one! Well what can I say, I loved this phone (& secretly still do) but I have had problems with it:

- the touch screen is something to get used of- if you're going to complain about it don't buy a touch screen phone!

- I did have to return my first LG Chocolate because after each text it turned itself off & then back on.

- I did scratch it, but that was because I used to put it in my bag without a case (because I lost it! ). The silver around the edge also scratched off (possibly my fault too).

- Then last week the colours on the phone went negative! Everything was the wrong colours. But I got on with it as I have had it 11 months.

- Then the screen copied itself 4 times so I have 4 smaller version of the screen.

- Now it's all a blur & I have had to put it to rest.

- Upgraded it to a Samsung u600 but just read the reviews, oops! Think I am going to have another problematic phone : (.

I reside in US (East Coast) was looking for unique & good unlock phone since none of the US carrier companies have descent phones (they look like paper weights). This phone is a tri-band, & if you are not in heavy metro city area the phone does not get reception. The only carrier it will work well is T-mobile since most of their phones are tri-band technology based but since their carrier is poor, it's no use. The only good coverage GSM phone carrier in US is AT&T & you need quad band unlocked phone to work well. I learned the hard way. The review of this phone, online, states that the phone works in US with GSM carriers. Yeah it works but hardly ever.

I use this phone as paper weight now & as a MP3 player. I also learned from a phone techie that LG phones, no matter what spec, it does not work well with AT&T. Nokia, Motorola & Sony works well, stated by a phone techie here in US.

Side note: (I heard Verizon will start to support GSM phones but I don't know how well it will work since they got V-cast junk on all their phones. This might arise compatible issues if you are looking for unlock phones).

If your looking for a phone that looks good then this is the phone for you, but that is where the good POINT ends, I have owned this phone since January 2007 it has been replaced twice & repaired four times, I think that the build quality of these phones leave a lot to be desired, only buy one if you intend to put it on display to look at it & not actually use it for what it is intended to be used for. The software on this phone is poor to say the least it frequently freezes or the screen will go white (very good to use as a torch but no good if you need to talk on the thing) buy this phone at your own peril, don't say I didn't warn you, better off going for the Samsung E900 or similar do not touch the LG chocolate with a barge pole best spend your money on something with reliability.

Battery life is up to a week, I've charged about 5 or 6 times & I got my phone a month & a half ago. I use it regularly too. The only bad feature that I've actually seen on it is that it gets dirty/scratches really easily.

I've heard of the sliding mechanisms breaking, but it's pretty stable unless you're rough with opening it or something. Either way, it's definitely not a garbage phone, it works great, pretty customizable & has an awesome battery life.

It's really not that bad. The only person who has ever complained about it that I know was pretty rough with it: dropped it down a staircase, threw it on to his desk a fair bit. So of course it was bound to break eventually. Anyway, it's worth the 50 bucks it costs when you get a 3 year $15/month plan with unlimited everything.

Battery life is a bit of a downer, but that's the price of fashion. Mine has lasted over a year, & is still in fine fettle. (Touch wood).

Use the free velvet case that came with it to stop it from getting scuffed. Oh, & don't drop it. They don't bounce easily.

THIS phone IS RUBBISH! Seriously, DO NOT BUT IT! I've had mine for nearly a year & when I first got it I thought it was great but as the weeks went by I hated it more & more & now I just want rid of it!

Good points:
- It looks good.
- Doesn't make annoying clicky sounds when you are texting.
- Camera is actually quite good.

Bad point:
- Battery life is rubbish, camera drains it after 5 minutes like everything else does.
- No radio.
- Can't have MP3 message tone.
- In order to have slide tone turned on you have to have the annoying effects turned up. So every time you send a message the noise it makes drains your battery EVEN MORE.
- No memory card option.
- Surface wears off keypad buttons.
- Scratches VERY easily.
- Automatically saves messages to outbox.
- Has no loud speaker!
- End call button is on side of the phone.
- In 'my stuff' has something called text, I have no idea what this is & it doesn't tell you in the book it comes with.
- 1 socket for headphones, charger & USB so can't listen to music whilst charging.
- When you get a voice mail every time you slide the phone up it alerts you & you have to cancel it before you can do anything (if you are anything like me & get through credit quickly then this is very annoying as you can't listen to it to make it go away).
- Pictures are not saved in alphabetical order.

Basically, it is rubbish & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! There are much better phones out there, what's the point in having a phone that looks good but can't function properly! Wish I'd of read these reviews before blowing £150 on it!

I wanted this phone for ages because of the way they described in advertising where they would only point out the positive things about the phone & leave the negative things out. The design is very eye catching & it is a great fashionable phone therefore I only recommend this phone to people who are interested in the design & not the features or usability. However, this phone will only last you a couple of months because the touch sensitive keys will stop working & the phone will crash & automatically switch itself off. It may last you more than a couple of months if you are lucky however it certainly will not last you over a year.

The phone easily scratches so eventually the phone will not be as good looking as it once was. Most people will only buy this phone to impress others & I strongly suggest that you do not do this because it will only make you end up wasting your money. The battery life is very poor & you can't store many songs. Also, the network connection is very slow, even the emergency calls take long to load. Overall in my opinion this phone is the worse phone out so far, Nokia phones are way better. I am sure that many people agree with me. Do not take any chances with this phone & hope that your luck will turn because you will end up making a huge mistake by buying this phone.

I have had this phone for around 5 Months now & at first I thought it was great but over the months I am beginning to get disappointed. The sound is good it's loud but you could only store around 25 Songs. Its photo quality is really good & can store loads of pictures.

The messaging at first is good but gets slower & is really annoying, sometimes it doesn't type what I want. Calling is good I can hear clearly but the signal is really bad. It says you can get a picture for who's calling but mine doesn't work!

Bluetooth is really slow & several times I have had to turn my phone off & on, But now I keep it on all the time. You can hide or show it. I have dropped it loads & it hasn't given up on me! I think it's made it slower though. Phonebook is OK it stores loads of contacts.

The touchpad is rubbish, it sometimes goes on something different to what I tell it to & it sometimes doesn't even work. The Internet is good but the graphics are big perhaps, too big but goes quite fast. All in all I think this phone is OK but I wouldn't recommend it to people. After having Nokia phones for the last 15 or so years, I decided to have a change & went for the LG.

I have been attempting to use it for the last six months & have come to the conclusion that this piece of equipment cannot possibly be categorised as a phone, however I do give it full marks for being mobile!

If fails, quite spectacularly, at it's most basic function of allowing the user to communicate with others, either verbally or by text.

I will admit that I have not suffered many of the problems encountered by other's who have reviewed this device, & will further admit that I live in an area which suffers from bad reception, (& that includes all mobile phone operators), but even my previous phone (Nokia 6280) would allow me to make & receive calls & text messages. Also the Nokia would quite happily remain powered for up to seven days, as opposed to the LG, which lasts for a mere one & a half.

I have found many other problems with the LG, but it seems pointless to list them when it fails at such a basic level. Yes, the phone looks good, even beautiful, & some may purchase it just this simple fact. But if you want a phone that works as a phone, do not buy the LG. Buy anything else & I would even go so far as to recommend two tins & a piece of string!

THIS PHONE IS TERRIBLE it there's a 1 out of 10 chance you would end up with a good one. MOST of them are factory fault phone. Every time you slide it up the screen would go blank on you. It freezes & it cuts off automatically. The thing is I never even drop it. YES the phone is just that BAD. I have it in the shop now, I think I might trade it for something that exactly WORKS.

I hate this phone so much why does it have to be so good looking. It may look good but the LG chocolate is the worst phone ever how can it be a phone if the speaker breaks straight away. The touch sensitive buttons jam up & don't work. I have bought 2 now thinking the first 1 might be dodge but no all LG phones don't work. I will never buy a LG phone again.

This phone is awful I have had nothing but problems with it, first couple of months was fine all working then the first problem occurred the white screen. Anyway put up with it for a while then got so bad had to take it back to Carphone Warehouse got very annoyed told me they had not had this problem before sent it off for repair came back after a month problem was fixed. A week of having it back something happened to the speaker when receiving or making phone calls the person the other end could hear me but I could not hear them. Back to CPW they were so unhelpful they ended up sending for a replacement phone this took 3 weeks to arrive. Got a replacement phone & had the problem & same procedure 3 times by the 4th phone I had I was truly sick of it was so unreliable could not call it a phone as it never worked to make calls, CPW was really unhelpful but in the end after about 4 months of arguing with them they agreed to change the phone however as I needed a phone during the 4 months had no choice but to take another contract out I now have the Samsung F300 no complaints what so ever had it about 2 months all seems well, CPW exchanged my phone for the Motorola k1 which I read reviews just as bad as this LG so my advice stay away from CPW & away from LG phones it will cause you nothing but problems, (CPW gave me a phone with no manuals or charger a lot of good it is! ).

I brought this phone because it looked very cool & unlike any phone that I had seen before. At first the touch pad was very fiddly & you can erase your texts or send them without finishing or wanting to. Then I started to have software problems & let's just say LG were not in too much of a hurry to do anything about it. Took 28 days be 4 my phone came back. In the mean time I went back to my old phone, which is much better even though it's a much older phone. The messaging alerts on the LG are very quiet & there on no volume to turn it up (if your hard of hearing) but I am not & I still found the phone was to quiet to hear! As for the message alerts tones there is only a few & not very nice ones at that! Ringtones are good & lots of them. There is no speaker on the phone. So yet another down point the surface of the phone can get marked very easy if you're not too careful. There are no animated screen savers except a clock which comes on for a minute or so & them gets plunged in to darkness. No animated wallpapers & what there is on the phone are, well let's say rubbish. Overall when I eventually got my phone back from LG with its upgraded software & gizmos I decided I had had enough & now selling it on eBay to get (dare I say it ) a older phone with the bits I wanted on it. When I paid £100 pound for this phone 6 months ago I expected a lot from it & was sadly let down. COME ON LG pull your finger out & get a better phone out that will amaze us all! Without us paying a mortgage to buy it!

I have wanted to throw this phone across the room so many times & Orange keep telling me to reset the settings, thus losing pictures of my premature niece & all my numbers numerous times. The camera went to taking green photos recently (by the way had this phone just 5 months) now camera doesn't work at all, just freezes & won't even turn off. Screen goes white, splits it four sections, turns itself off, in a word its practically unusable most of the time. Screen is badly scratched, touch screen does what it wants & don't even start me on the rubbish alarm & message tones there prehistoric. I know I sound like a whinger but I am really not, take my advice & get something else, id rather have my d600 back it never let me down.

All I can say is that I am very, very happy that I am getting to the end of my contract. I have had this phone for 11 months & it is without a shadow of a doubt the worst phone I have ever, ever had the misfortune of owning.

The design is fantastic & I have not had problems with the battery like others but in terms of functionality, it is terrible. The first couple of months everything was great & then all of a sudden, it stopped working. Phone keyboard is far too sensitive. It stops in the middle of texting, you get the dreaded white screen. I am on my third phone this year & the beginning of September, I am throwing it away & I just cannot wait. Avoid the phone at all costs, I got it for free & I still think that I paid too much for it!

The LG Chocolate. When this phone 1st come out I knew I had to get it. I love the design but with in 2 -3months of having it the screen went white & every time I went to slide it up the screen would go white & freeze. I am now on my second LG. This one is not much better because it says I have a voice mail so I go & ring voice mail & it says you do not have a voice mail. This is a pain because it causes me money because it just rings it when ever because of the touch screen. It also scratches very easily. I most say they are not very good for every day to day use because of the battery. Every time you go to take a picture you take one & it then says low battery! .I am now charging the LG every day & about 2 times a day. Also the Touch pad can be too sensitive or it won't work & you have to push it really hard. Also sometimes when you push the up bottom the down touch bottom will go. So you find your self working up side down. But What I will say is good about it is that the memory on it is very good they are better than the shine. The shine memory is not as good as the LG chocolate memory. But the shine is better in most ways.

If your going to buy an LG chocolate then good luck. If any one has any way or knows how to sort my voice mail out please post on this blog. I will be very great full! Thanks a lot Bernadette.

This is the first MP3 phone that I have ever owned. Admittedly picked this phone on the fact it's just so pretty, esp. The pink version (which I bought). Initial opinion of the phone was that it was amazing, the touch pad controls looked amazing. The phone was just pretty sleek in my opinion, the packaging also was cool, like a chocolate box. Anyway, the phone was very interesting & easy to get use to. But then I started to get bugged by some of its features:

- MP3 player - Volume wasn't loud enough, when you choose them as your ringtones they just cannot be heard when out & about

- Camera - was difficult to control when taking self portraits, often easy to press the wrong button

- Touch pad controls - were hard to control at times, sometimes the buttons took a while to respond

- Photo album - not impression took ages to load photos

- File storage - you cannot move files from folder to folder, you have to do it when you're on your comp

- Battery life - you got to ask yourself. What battery life? the battery is bad, LG what do you think you are playing? I had this phone for 6 months, I mean come on, the time I could spend listening to music & talk on the phone just deteriorated, I mean what is that about?

- Buttons - Well I think LG were thinking it would be helpful to put a disconnect button on the side of the phone, I am sure it seemed the right thing to do at the time but it's just not practical. So many times I'd try to get the phone out my pocket & accidentally pressed the button when grabbing both sides of the phone.

But on the positive side the phone did look good, it was just so cool to slide it open to answer a call. The weight of the phone is quite light & the size fits comfortably in your pocket.

But as they say, looks aren't everything. I do not suggest buying this phone. I wasn't even heart broken for that long after I'd lost it in a taxi. I've already bought a replacement phone a couple days ago, the W660i, you can see my review for that. To be honest after buying my new phone I seem to think. What LG chocolate? It's a stylish phone but just not epic.

Well I got this phone in January so have had it 6 months or so & it I the worst phone I have ever brought I regret it so much, I brought it because of it looks as admittedly, it is a amazing looking indestructible phone as I have thrown it a million & one times because of it poor features & usability. The camera & video camera is good but the battery life is really poor. I have to charge mine every day & the storage for messages is very poor as you can only have 140 messages at one time. It turns itself off occasionally or freezes & don't even get me started on the signal, you can't send messages anywhere hardly or call anyone because the network is unavailable & it isn't the network because in my other phone that I keep spare I can send a message absolutely anywhere & have never had problem with Vodafone before!

I paid £190 for the white LG & after about 2 weeks I wanted to get rid of it because of all of the above & more including the fact that the touch screen can be impossible to use even my younger cousin finds it hard to push the right part of it to make it work! To be honest I wouldn't be paid to have one now!

To set an MP3 as a ringtone you have to go to : contacts > caller groups > select a caller group > group ring tone > choose your MP3. I couldn't find this in the instructions but without this you will try & select your ringtone as per the instructions & drive yourself nuts when the same pre installed one continues. The idea of designating a caller group to a different ringtone is quite a handy one as soon as I hear Nellie the Elephant I know to ignore the call as it's my mother in law phoning!

The slim design fits nicely into your pocket but if the phone gets too warm it becomes impossible to use until its cooled down which is so frustrating when you need to send a quick text the phone will just flit from screen to screen without you doing a thing, I got mad! The MP3 is OK not very much memory though. I love the design but if you are not careful it is easily scratched making it look quite tatty, I would suggest getting a case or like phone sock. I would not recommend getting a touch screen if you like keeping your phone in your pocket! OK that's about all.

I've had this phone for like 6 months already, I read many bad comments about this phone, luckily I have a 2 years warranty for this one. Well, I think this phone is H-O-T, I was thinking of replacing it with Samsung f300 but I think the design of this phone is way much better. I never experienced any of the said malfunctions of this phone. Although I dint love the camera, still, this phone is worth buying. Its unique & fashionable looks made me in love with it.

So I am getting a new one : ( because the people I went to see said I should even though I am getting a new phone! :)

So if anyone is looking for a good phone that's easy to use & reliable, this isn't it!

I thought this phone was great when I first got it & then after about 6 months I slid it open & the screen was all messed up & the touch sensitive keys stopped working. After turning it off & on again it went back to normal but still went mad from time to time. I left it for a few weeks & used an old handset & then when I turned the LG on again after those few weeks, the screen was blank & froze. I've heard loads of stories like this about this phone. Yeh it looks smart but it's not worth it seeing as most of the time it will only last a few months!

The screen goes white mostly when slide it up or it shows black & white menu & when that happens the camera doesn't work. It never fell down. I don't know whether I can claim the warranty or not. I have tried for 2 weeks to get a hold of someone or somewhere I can get it repaired under warrantee. & no one will help me. The LG services website has a phone number 1-800-822-822. What is the last digit? I want my phone fixed!

I do give Kudos to USA LG. They are the only one who is trying to help. Although they will not support their own equipment not made in the USA. They gave me a phone number that is not available in my area, & pointed me to the website of lg services.

But can't find anything there to help. Someone please, please post me for help. I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks from Dianne Carlson

I've had this phone a year the end of this month & it is still working perfectly. I've never had any problems with it & it was been through the wars. It's been dropped numerous amount of time even once down marble stairs, into a cup of coffee & in the sink. The worse that's happened is that the battery fell off. This phone is very durable. It's done everything that it has supposed to do from day one, & it has done them superbly. What's better is that I am the only one that can use it, that means my friends etc can't snoop through my phone. The only complaint is that when the battery dies it makes no sound nor any warning, so when it does die it does it unpredictably which can be a bother also the call end button is hard to press so when you've got limited credit you don't want to waste precious money fumbling about with buttons. It's a great phone & I have had a good relationship with. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Apparently this phone has no bugs but. Since I bought mine in Nov 2006 I have been through not 1, not 2, not even 3 of these phones. Finally the forth phone I was sent died after 2 days.

Some of the problems in the 1st few phones I was sent out were: bad reception due to the phone & not network, the internal speaker didn't work, when it did it cut out, it kept turning itself off & the touch screen would randomly access itself, e.g.: it would call ppl, send sms's b4 they were done, access the net, ect.

The final phone that I was sent worked perfectly for about 2 days before the screen died. It turns white, swaps the left & right sides around, shows only the outlines or appears in the negative effect you use on photos. Basically you can never read the screen & most often than not it's working but a plain white screen. This phone also kept turning itself off randomly.

All but the very 1st phones were sent directly form the LG warehouse in aus - didn't even go through the dealer I bought my 1st KG800 form so it's not a fault of the store.

Now after having gone through 4 phones & only having a mobile for all off (collectively speaking over the period of 5 months) a month I am now swapping over to a Nokia 6288. So far out off the many ppl I know who have bought this phone only I have had this number of problems - however they all complainn about the very poor reception to the phone, poor speaker quality & its lack of features.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PHONE! Not only because of the problems I have had but also - it lacks any real extra features. It is very basic in its capabilities & even my old brick of a Nokia & Sony Ericsson have more useable features. Don't be fooled by its good looks!

LG chocolate is the best phone I have ever had including a d900 chrome. It is just better all round except the camera is rubbish & the touch buttons can some times really annoy me. With the Samsung stuff you get using the USB cable doesn't always work due to the format but with the chocolate it works every time. Only other thing I can think of is the memory & loudness. Memory could be a little bit better or have a memory card slot like the Samsung & could have a loudspeaker so I can listen to my music louder. All in all I would have this phone any day compared to most phones.& another thing is that it is a lot more better & reliable than the Samsung e900 (my dad has one) so I would recommend this phone to anyone.

I bought this phone (cherry version) a month ago & for that time I had no problems at all. I dropped it maybe once or twice but it was fine afterwards & this was within the first week of getting it. I had no problems at all until today when I got to my locker at work & tried to turn it on & all that happened was the screen went white & then turns black every 10 seconds & then right back to a white screen. The keypad doesn't respond & I tried charging it but nothing at all. It's non responsive to everything I do to it. So I ended up going to the Verizon store to get a new one & they sent me on a wild goose chase because I didn't purchase the phone from them. So I went to the place where I got the phone (Best Buy, an electronics store), & they told me to go back to the Verizon store & then they were closed. BAD news. I rely on my phone for my job especially, so I was very upset with Verizon for this reason.

Well anyways, I called them up & I guess they already knew there was a problem so I pick up my new phone tomorrow morning, which is nice to know I don't get a rubbish refurbished one.

I would definitely paid $25 for it. So not bad :D

Good luck to everyone who is having problems & don't sweat about it too much.

The good things are it comes with a dangly screen wipe & carry pouch, hang up button is on the side so you can't hang up on someone accidentally, all other functions are pretty good. The bad things about this phone are: no loud speaker, no memory card option, speaker isn't very loud (but comes with headphones), could only fit 10 songs with all the vids & pics I have got, which isn't a lot! Then the next one's touch screen key pad was awful, it had a mind of its own & would constantly flash menus at you when you're trying to write a text message! I went through 20-30 phones in my life easily, sometime using 2-3 phones at the same time. This has to be one of the worst phones in matter of functionality. Some $50 phone (without cam) can perform & handle better than this.

Looks wise this is a gorgeous phone. Features don't really mean anything to me, as long as I can send/receive calls & texts then I am happy. In all honesty I got this phone because of the way it looks. BIG MISTAKE. After much having my arm twisted I got TWO of these (1 black & 1 red) for me & my partner on contract. Within first 2 weeks I had to have mine replaced as the earpiece broke. Now 6 months on both mine & my boyfriend's phones have the same faults:

- Switching itself off when texting
- Screen going white in the middle of you doing something
- Earpiece just goes & you have to switch on/off to get it working again
- Even when slid down it just starts going through the favourites menu
- Won't turn off so you have to pop the battery out

I am currently considering sending mine in under warranty but I am so paranoid by reviews I have read, & that LG class it as misuse rather than electrical faults. These faults have now left my boyfriend unable to use his! Other things that are rubbish are the battery life (you have to charge EVERY night), signal is terrible (can't get none when it's been in my bag! ), when it gets cold it freezes till warmed up (not good when it's a winters morning & you've missed a bus & you need to call for a lift/taxi! ) So overall do not waste your money. Mines on contract & am stuck with it till April 08!

Firstly, fall all those struggling with the ringtone dilemma, look down the thread & check out the post from Rachael on 4th Jan - & it will solve the problem. I am just pleased I saw the post as it was driving me up the wall trying to find a solution - it is surely a bad technical fault that it won't change as the booklet describes.

This is my wife's phone. Personally, I find it a bit lacking in features & I find the touch screen thing frustrating. On a personal note, I would have dismissed this due to inability to expand on the 128MB memory.

However, to give it some plus points, it is all about personal taste. My wife is not so bothered about gadgets & the like. She just wanted a good looking phone that could be reliable & play her favourite tune as a ringtone. So far she is pleased although the whole ringtone issue has been annoying (& we thought was a bug that wouldn't be fixed) but I am about to tell her that the problem has been solved thanks to this forum! Her long-term happiness with the phone, who knows. ! (I'll tell her to avoid the rain judging by some of the other reviews!)

But after about 2 months it started to go funny, e.g. The screen went white when I slid it up & I couldn't see what was happening. Other times it has frozen when it slides up so I have to work it without numbers so you can't text or anything & the touch buttons do not work when I slide it up. Also my friend has the same phone & hers does the same it's a faulty phone & overall I would only give it 3/10 & that's being generous!

I hate this phone. I haven't got it but I have heard that people who own one say that it is RUBBISH. For no reason the screen cracks & the touch sensitive buttons are TOO SENSITIVE!

So don't get this phone because it is bad.

I am using LG KG 800 wine red. I had to say that this is cool phone & it has a faint smell of chocolate as well.

Design. I will give it 100%. Some features that could have make this phone better will be loud speaker & 3G.

Battery so far is OK to me average 2 to 3 days

Unfortunately, the numeric keypad backlight fails me.

But I will still give thumb up for this beautiful user friendly phone.

I have to agree with the previous reviews.

While trying this phone out in the shop I found the touch buttons easy to use & the menu was easy to navigate, just like a Nokia which I always usually go for, so I decided to have a change & brought this phone.

BIG MISTAKE!

The signal is total rubbish I have sent it back for repair but it still comes up with searching all the time & when people finally get hold of me after trying all day they tell me it was saying phone was unavailable.

I loose the signal as well if I have the phone in my pocket.

The texting it awful as well, I have to use two hands to type my usually speed & with no mistakes but the keys still miss some letters!

The style of the phone is nice looking but that is all & even that is not 100% as it scratches easy because it is so shiny & you get loads of smears on it to.

I can't wait to change, this phone was a waste of money!

My girlfriend & I bought two of these phones whilst on holiday in Andorra. We really liked the look & feel of the phone. Big mistake! After 9 days, one of the phones went dead for no reason. I sent it to LG UK, but a fortnight later they sent it back with a letter saying it can't be fixed, & that I should take it back to the shop for a refund. Great! The other phone is still working, but the battery life is dreadful - 2 days - with no warning when it's about to go flat. Don't believe the specs claiming 200 hours standby, that's utter nonsense. I really wish we had read some reviews instead of buying on impulse. I would never buy another LG product after finding out that their guarantee is useless. What a rip off. DON'T BUT IT!

Oki people, I had this phone & I guess it was okay, it looked stylish & drew heads but after a while the touch pad annoyed me the same ring ton just pissed me off & constant 'doesn't like rain' got me down like when I was at the bus stop it was raining so I called for a lift but I couldn't get through cos every time I got it out my pocket it was just have 1 drop of rain before turning off also the slider kept breaking if you want a stylish phone which looks great & has all the things you want like:

* A good MP3 player
* Gorgeous design
* 2MP camera
* Poli & MP3 ringtone
* & others

Get any of the l'amour collection from Nokia I recommend the 7373 it's cheaper than the LG chocolate & I have to say I use it a lot more & don't resort in throwing it at the wall for not making the right call.

This phone looks good but I don't recommend it to anyone.

The buttons are very slow & sticky so annoying for texting, the touch screen buttons are far too sensitive, the off button is in a stupid place & I often press that instead of the volume buttons whilst on a call.

Sometimes it won't ring when someone calls, it just goes straight onto answerphone even when there's plenty of signal etc & also texts don't always come through until you turn the phone off & back on again. Very annoying as you don't realise this isn't working until you try & text/call someone as it doesn't let you do either until the phone is turn off & back on.

Overall I can't wait for my contract to run out so I can get an upgrade because this phone is awful.

I love the phone its easy to use & got no complaints about the speaker, the only problem I am having is I have a song on my MP3 player but every time I try setting it as a ring tone it keeps going back to the one that is on the phone itself. Please can anyone explain t
