I HAD BROUGHT 2 OF THESE PHONES FOR MY DAUGHTER & NEICE.

SAME PROBLEM WITH BOTH OF THEM, can't CHARGE THEM, the USB BIT WHERE the CHARGER GOES IN, GETS PUSHED INSIDE the phone, SO YOU can't PLUG the CHARGER IN TO IT. I TOOK IT BACK TO PHONES 4 YOU, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, TOTAL RUBBISH, TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 22 POUNDS FOR EACH ONE, TO HAVE THEM RETURNED TO ME AFTER HAVING SENT THEM OFF FOR REPAIR TO the REPAIR CENTRES. I ONLY BROUGHT THEM FOR 50 POUNDS EACH SO THEY PHONES 4 YOU KNOW YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BOTHER HAVING THEM RETURNED TO YOU, SO THEY SAID IF NOT COLLECTED IN 60 DAYS THEY ARE DESTROYED. MORE LIKE THEY REPAIR THEM & SELL THEM OFF, SO PLEASE don't BUY ONE OF THESE RUBBISH PHONES PLEASE.

The design is amazing, but the phone crashes a lot & it is quite hard to use. The 1.3 mp camera is not bad. If you want a stylish phone choose this one (it breaks easily too).

The LG Chocolate phone is the most gorgeous thing you could look at. It sleek, stylish & has that mysterious look to it.

BUT that's where it stops! The battery life if appalling, & the memory isn't too big either. Despite reading all the bad reviews, I went ahead & bought it. & now. The screen has cracked on the INSIDE so I can hardly see the screen! How it happened, I don't know, because I treated this thing like my baby! I have to get a different phone now, but I am still gutted.

AS WELL, the new text alerts are very quiet, so I am constantly missing texts & calls. The MP3 if good, but the camera could be better. The phone keeps switching itself off when in my pocket & the screen once went blank.

I was very happy with this phone until it started giving trouble, but if you want a phone that LOOKS great, buy it.

This is a great phone! I really enjoyed using it & was really easy to use! The design looked great!

The memory was a bit of a let down, but if you move some things around it makes a big difference. It does get scratched & dirty easily but you can just as easy get it off!

I love this phone & soon everyone else was buying one after experiencing mine! It's a brilliant price & I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Perfect size & weight!

At first when I got this phone everyone was like oh no you shouldn't have got it because its rubbish but I just ignored them & the reviews as well! DO NOT IGNORE REVIEWS!

This phone may look good & on paper it seems like its really good value for money with Bluetooth & stuff, but in fact it just doesn't work very well, the Bluetooth only works on very rare occasions. The camera is useless & it phones people who you don't even want to phone! Yes it looks pretty but after a while you almost get embarrassed to look at it because you know how useless it is! So take my advice & don't buy the thing in the first place!

I know at least 4 people who have had this phone & the same thing has happened to them all. The screen will either go blank, freeze, or go negative, when it's slid open. After sending it off for software repairs, it happened again after 3 months. It's now past its year warranty (despite being fixed for the same problem only 3 months ago) & LG don't want to know.

You can't change the text ringtones to ones you upload (the only OK one of the 4 available is a very quiet car horn). No loudspeaker. Terrible battery life when watching videos or listening to mp3s.

It's a shame because it's one of the sleekest designs I've ever seen, it really is gorgeous. When you first use it & get used to the touchpad (which can get annoying sometimes when you stray over to the next button slightly), it's very satisfying. However, it is easily the worst phone I've had because it's software is so awful. I am back onto Nokia's as soon as I can upgrade. I'll turn a blind eye to any LG products from now on.

Hey I just wanted to say that many of my friends have this phone & I am getting one soon. Out of around 15 friends with chocolates only 1 had hers repaired. Because of this I'd advise you not to buy one from abroad because to get it repaired under guarantee you usually have to send it to the shop you bought it from.

I am surprised to hear many people say that they have low features. By the way this is to all those who said something about there being no speaker volume, the Speaker Volume Is On the Side Of the Phone (There Are Two Arrows)!

Have fun with your phones whatever they are & by the way, what's with all the hater comments? If there is something you truly don't like mention it don't just state how much you don't like it!

I am also wondering about the colours. The only ones I heard of are strawberry, black, white, mauve, brown & lilac. Are there any others?

Very bad phone, it scratches easily, the touchpad is too sensitive, & I kept accidentally ringing people.

Very badly designed, as when deleting messages from your inbox, it takes you straight back to the first message each time. Pretty annoying when you've got 150 texts in there which by the way is the maximum it can hold.

The camera is. OK I guess. The rest of it is rubbish. Worst phone I have ever had.

The LG KG800 known as the LG Chocolate is a good looking phone with excellent features the design of the phone is brilliant & so are the features, but when it comes down to the usability it's not the best. When I first got it I noticed the battery only lasts just about 2 days then I noticed you can turn on power save & if you lower the brightness & turn the power save on the battery will last longer so if you get the LG KG800 look on the settings & find power save this make the battery last a little longer.

I've had this phone for 15 months now. Although I think the phone is very sexual looking & so easy to use. It's been playing up! It's been fine for around a year. Now it cuts out when I am on a call, battery life is about 12 hours, I have to recharge it nightly & whilst on charge if I get a call or a text. I can't look or answer & if or when I pull out the charger, it calls the last number on my call list, by its self. & it will send a reply to a text blank by its self.

It switches itself off in my bag. I get around 30 minutes call time before the battery dies, but when I put it back on. The battery life goes up? Self charges. Ha ha.

It's quite annoying. I have ordered a new battery let see if that helps. I love the phone, also I have learnt to text in the dark. As the keypad doesn't light up!

I love this phone it's so easy to use. It is very easy to scratch. It's disappointing that you can only get four message tones & then there are millions of ringtone I don't see the point in that, it would be better if you could have different text tones. Apart from that I think its fabulous phone for all ages.

The LG Chocolate is a really great buy for people who want style without the price the of a LG viewty. When the red lights fade away you're left with a minimalistic beauty. It has good featured for a phone of this price with a 1.3 mp camera & video player. Also it has a 128MB built in memory. This is the problem, it has no memory card slot if it did it would be the ultimate phone. Does anybody know if the chocolate can be unlocked to 3. I like the touch screen but can become annoying but the novelty doesn't wear off.

I have had this phone now for almost 2 years. It's not the best to be honest. If it's in your pocket it will just switch itself off. If the battery is fully charged it will be empty after 2 short phone calls & a couple of texts. If you want to listen to music or want to use the camera make sure it's fully charged & you are able to charge it straight after. Quite annoying.

The touch pad is OK you get used to it, texting is fine. You can't get any other pictures sent from another phone because they are always too big. Doesn't matter what kind of mobile it's coming from.

All in all I would not recommend anybody to buy this phone it looks good but it works badly.

To begin with, the LG KG800 looks fantastic, great work!

But don't be fooled, the phone has very little features even simple things that a Nokia 3315 has, this phone lacks. The volume is horrible, the camera is despicable, message tone cannot be changed to anything besides the default tones, & there is NO loudspeaker. The alarm does NOT come on when the phone is off.

Good Design, poor effort in features & touchpad.

This Phone looks awesome & the touch sensitive keys are cool! Camera is OK. Good enough for the price I paid.

Worst parts are the text message tone is so quiet & vibrate function is poor (On this point alone, I returned it). Predictive text doesn't remember words that you save & if you're used to texting fast on a Nokia, the LG will disappoint you. It took me ages to write texts!

MP3 playback is quite good, but I shall not buy another LG again!

THIS IS the WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER HAD & I've had a few!

I bought it 4 months ago. Almost straight away the phone would turn itself off & on again & when you have pin, it doesn't just turn itself on again while in your pocket! It would cut out during calls & texts & well just about everything really!

& it wasn't just turning off & on occasionally it was like 20 times a day!

If I got a text it would vibrate until I read the text. Because I leave my phone upstairs sometimes it was vibrating for 3 hours!

It would randomly scroll through stuff. Messages, memos, contacts etc & all you could do was sit & watch it & then to stop it you had to turn it off.

When writing texts it would suddenly just decide to send it half way through, not as bad if your not replying to someone & it doesn't have somebody to send it to automatically but bloody annoying as anything if you are replying!

The touch screen would freeze ALL the TIME & the only way to sort that out, was to turn it off & on again, that especially used to drive me barmy!

Also when your listening to music through the MP3 you can't go out of that & do something else like text someone, I know that's not a fault but that's just real annoying!

& now. After 4 months, I bought it as brand new phone. I pull it out of my pocket last night & it's got a bright white screen with a bit of black streak. So I think oh goody another fault, turn it off & on. & it's just utterly & completely broken.

DON'T buy this phone! The worst thing EVER & I will NEVER buy another LG again!

Hi I got this phone yesterday & absolutely love it! Nothing has gone wrong it is a glossy cool phone. People who have fat fingers will find it awkward using the touch sensitive keys but if you have small fingers you will have a joy using this phone.

My friend has got this phone in pink & she has had it for ages nothing has gone wrong. If you are fussy & annoying don't buy it, GREAT PHONE! I recommend TO BUY IT!

LG chocolate kg800 is one of the more distinct phones & has been on the market for quite a while now & it still never gets old. This phone consists of three major parts the touchpad, the key & number pad & the back. This phone has a good spring inside that when you open it, it doesn't feel like it's going to break. It feels natural. The chocolates touch pad is quite unique it feels & works very well but sometimes you may end up hitting the wrong key. The slide out key pad is good to some degree. The buttons aren't hard to hit & they feel very good once pressed & respond in a fast way, although if you have big fingers you may have trouble hitting some of the keys. The battery life is a tad above average & the screen is nicely illuminated. One bad thing about this phone is that if you have big hands than this may not be the phone for you.

Overall this is an awesome phone & I would recommend it to anyone.

The phone would turn itself off whenever it felt like it. The camera didn't work & was fuzzy or it froze completely & I had to turn my phone off & on again to make get it unfrozen. The video camera was just as bad as the normal camera. It wouldn't even let me look at the photos that were on it.

People always moan about this phone but I got it for my birthday & it is great. Comments on the fingerprints are quite true but if you just clean your hands dry & don't wear oily makeup LOL. It is completely fine. The speakers are very loud & the camera is awesome. However don't buy this phone on contract it's a waste of money buy it pay as you go & it's a lot cheaper I have found. If yours breaks I suggest instead of moaning you take it back & get a new phone. The battery life lasts about three days which isn't that bad. Also it does what it says it does, so if your a gadget freak, don't buy this phone. It's for looks & simplicity. Lastly the touch pad works very well & is very easy to use. (If you have fat fingers don't buy the phone). Laura x.

Had this phone for a few weeks & its absolute rubbish. I bought this when I dropped & broke my contract phone but am now upgrading to a Samsung G600. This phone has a mind of its own kept telling me I had voicemails but must have spent a small fortune calling voicemail only to be told NO MESSAGES! Now it is doing the complete opposite & am not being notified when I do have voicemails! I can't wait for my new phone to arrive tomorrow.

Another nasty thing about this phone not mentioned so much in the review is the lack of the keys lighting up, it is absolutely hopeless if you need to text in dim light. I have never had a phone where you cannot see the keys before.

All in all even for £40 avoid this phone.

This is the most awful phone I have got on my contract. The design is very appealing, but if you have oily skin, all your makeup & excess oil stick when you answer the phone, not to mention the fingerprints! The touch pad is OK but half the time it is unresponsive & the key pad is very stiff. The features are OK but the sound quality is awful. The battery life, even after charging for 24 hours when getting it, is awful as well. All in all I would avoid this phone like the plague!

I bought my daughter this phone for Christmas. Good on the outside, nice design etc & the touchpad is in theory a nice feature. However, from day one, the phone has had a habit of doing everything that you ask it to perfectly within 5 minutes of picking it up & then. The phone develops a mind of its own. Totally random scrolling through menus, up & down, pressing OK on its own & entering different menus & files, even making calls. All whilst you sit there & watch it, totally bizarre, ultimately frustrating.

This goes on forever, the only way to stop it is to turn it off. Then on restart it's great again for 5 minutes or so, then off we go again.

So, in my experience a piece of flawed genius. I am sure it must be faulty touchpad.

It's a nice phone, I have had it for about a year now. Although I am about to get a new one. There has been no technical problems, it's just it misses key features. The battery power is quite poor, it's let me down loads of times just when I needed it the most. The memory is quite low, & you can't expand it. It has always said my inbox is to full at only 140 texts or so, I am forced to delete some every time. The ringtone keeps changing itself, I can't set it to my own tune because it always goes back to one that came with the phone. The camera quality is also quite poor, I need better pictures. Apart from that thought (LOL), it's a nice phone & I didn't have any technical issues with it. If you are just looking for a stylish phone that you just want to use as a phone & texts, then go for it.

I am now on my second chocolate phone, but not due to my first one breaking! I bought my first chocolate whilst on contract as I got impatient waiting to upgrade & just HAD to have the chocolate phone (was very new out & cost me a fortune). I absolutely adored this phone when it arrived & couldn't stop playing with it for hours!

Everything about it was ideal & it lasted me a full year with plenty of drops, smashings & soakings, & it survived well. It even got passed onto a friend when I upgraded (to another chocolate! ) & it lasted her well until it took a nasty drop & broke.

However the story with my new LG chocolate is very different, my first one really impressed me & I didn't hesitate in getting a new (free) one when I had the chance.

However I am now 4 months away from my upgrade (after having it nearly a year) & my phone has given up. The screen freezes, it changes colour often (from purple to silver etc) & it often freezes on a blank white screen as many others have said. This has disappointed me as my first one really impressed me, whether this is down to laziness in producing them now they aren't as new I don't know. I am currently looking to buy a new phone before my upgrade as this one is just driving me insane! Constantly having to switch it off & on again to get rid of the white screen!

The only downside to the features of the LG Chocolate (well the first one! ) is the lack of speakerphone, & I couldn't store very many songs. The battery life got worse over time but wasn't any worse than other phones I have had. However it gave you very little warning when it was dying!

Overall I have loved my chocolates, even though this one has let me down at the end I still love it as a phone, they are surprisingly very durable & tough. The USB cable is great & very easy to use, uploading songs & photos couldn't be simpler. Last year I would have screamed at you to buy one, however the quality seems to have dropped. The style remains stunning, definitely a head turner. They are really cheap phones to buy now, so I would recommend it as they don't cost much at all!

I have read reviews, on the new phone I want to get, & the reviews didn't seem that good. Mates got the phone & said it was great. So decided to come on the reviews of the phone I have got now & I have read the negative ones, & I am totally against them. Haven't had any problems with them phone, my battery don't last as long as it used to, but that's my fault not the phones, because I have charged the phone too much & have made the battery life too low. I personally think the phone is very stylish ;). Also the camera is really good well I thought, it's a phone not a camera. It's for texting & calling, & the camera for a phone I thought was very good. My phone hasn't turned off at all when it's not supposed to. Either people aren't treating it right, or have had bad luck. Or either I am treating it to well, which isn't like me. Dropped the phone, plenty of times on hard floors still working properly. So I totally disagree with all the negative comments on this phone. Only thing putting me off buying the new phone I want to is these negative comments.

Had this phone for just about a year & I have to say after all the hype it got I am not impressed at all. The only good thing that came out of it was the fact when I bought it, it was £100 & two weeks after they dropped the price & the store I brought it from gave me 20 quid back. The predictive text is terrible & will not store abbreviated words so you have to type them in manually every time. It does not save any ring tones you want to be played when the phone rings, it deletes photos without asking, the picture quality is terrible, the memory is terrible & will only store a few songs before going into complete meltdown, not to mention the fact the battery only lasts two maybe three days at the most. The touch sensitive buttons are OK but don't try to use if you are out in the cold (because they won't respond) or if you are too hot (they will work without you touching them! ). Hh yeah & it switches off without any notice too which is great when you're on a call or in the middle of writing a text. The look of the phone is nice & stylish & small enough to fit into a pocket or bag but if you want a phone to use on a regular basis without getting very stressed with it don't get this one. This phone is the worst I have ever had.

At first I loved it, it was perfect for a teenage girl like me, it's a stunning phone to look at & a must have fashion accessory. After I got over the looks I realised the phone had many bad points. It has a habit of switching itself off during texts, even if the battery is full. The camera is very poor, & eventually just stopped working. I can never get a signal even if I am outside. The phone is prone to horrible, visible scratches which make it lose its stunning look.

I learned to live with these, but when I switched it on the other day it was just a plain white screen. I couldn't even turn it off. I took it into the shop & they said it was my fault. I knew this wasn't true as I am careful with the phone, but they are refusing to repair it! DO NOT GET THIS PHONE.

At first it was fine, a few problems but I could live with them. Like the camera crashing after 5 months, texting being really slow, if you are a fast texter it misses out letters, battery life not good, not enough memory & no slot for memory card, & finally, the Bluetooth transfer couldn't be any slower. But now, 7 months later, it has completely crashed. The screen is just pure white & the phone won't turn on.
