I have had this phone for 6 weeks & it's my second one.

The first one came & the battery cover was broken so I took it back, got another one this time opened it before I took it home. The second one had finger print marks all over it, the shop assistance got another one this time the screen was scratched in several places, off he went got another one, that was perfect.

5 weeks later & my charger or the phone one of them doesn't work. I can't charge it so its sitting at home & I have to take it back.

In a nutshell I will be sticking to good old Samsung in the future.

Had it a week love it really good phone.

Does anyone know how you have a MP3 track as a message alert?

I am un sure & trying to find out if I can.

The only bad points I have noticed so far is the MP3 quality out the loud speaker & when your listening to music with the phone in your case in your pocket & your knock it you can change the track. Please reply to my question

When I first got the phone I really enjoyed it. It was easy to work & everything. I wanted something new as I always had family phones when they got up grades.

After having the phone for 4 weeks & a day the touch screen went funny, it then looked like it had cracked but I had never dropped the phone. I kept the phone in the sock that came along with it because it help keep the screen clean. & I didn't understand why it broken.

This is a great phone, it looks & feels good, it's different i.e. the touch screen that is very responsive & the battery life is good. I am waiting for a memory card so I can fit more tunes & photos on but you can get these cheap off eBay. I would recommend a screen protector as it does leave finger prints all over the front screen. I am also very conscious about dropping it because I don't think it would stand a big impact unlike other phones. Apart from this well it's great & it comes highly recommended.

1 week ago I finally changed my trusty Sony W900i after I'd had that for over 2 years! The reason I kept it for that long is that it did everything you could possibly need from a mobile phone, & did it brilliantly. But it was getting worn out so I bit the bullet & chose the LG KF600.

Well I've had it for a week now, & there are a few things that I don't like about it compared to my old Sony. Firstly, you can't zoom in when taking a still picture, only when shooting video. You can zoom into the picture after you've taken it, but even then you can't save the newly zoomed picture. This is strange, because the zoom feature is very strong after you've taken a picture so why you can't use that before you take the picture is beyond me. Also, the flash isn't automatic you have to go into the features & select it to come on, which is a bit tiresome when you just want to take a quick picture. Also, like other people have said, the speaker is awful. Compared to my old Walkman phone which sounded brilliant, this sounds like an old tin can when you turn the volume up.

Those are the main minus points to take into consideration, but overall it's a nice phone. The touch screen is nice & easy to use, this being my first experience of having anything with a touch screen I am fairly impressed. It has the wow factor when you show your mates which let's face it is a big plus!

Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10, losing points for the lake of pre picture zoom & tinny speakers. But if you have a Sony Walkman phone, I'd stick with those if I were you.

The Venus is a great phone. Its design is awesome. But the touch screen sometime doesn't respond to your touch which gets kind of annoying. The camera is one of the best I've ever seen. Good phone overall.

I have had this phone for about a month now & I love it all, full touch screens that are out are rubbish but this one you get the best of the best of both worlds, well done LG. I love this phone so much there are a few problems, number one in the manual it doesn't tell you very well how, number two, put songs on your phone, the MP3 player isn't very loud, you can't put glass n horny etc on the picture you have taken like you can on Nokia Sony etc I you are thinking of buying this phone do so.

The phone features & everything are great & simple to use. Although it did stall on me, once already, which was surprising.

BUT, why hasn't anyone said anything about the music mode. In terms of sound quality, it's terrible. You can hardly hear the music even at full blast. I was on the train & could even hear other people's headphones in the background even using my own powerful headphones. It really is embarrassing. The equalizer option is just a set of pre installed genre's which does not to enhance the music especially as it plays so low. I'll just have to buy a separate MP3 player now, apart from this major numbness the phones OK.

Well I've had this phone for a little over a week now & feel I've got used to it enough to form an opinion. Like all phones this is not faultless, but altogether it's pretty close to all you could want in a mobile. There are a few things that stop it getting a 100% rating. They are, it seems to slow down when texting, in particular when half way through page 2. The characters seem to slow down & you find yourself making errors because you are thinking faster than the screen will move. Also the touch screen can be fiddly & you find yourself pressing the wrong button if you have anything but the skinniest of fingers. The most frustrating thing though is the battery life. It doesn't seem to go much beyond two days without needing charging. This is without using the phone as an MP3 player & draining the battery that way. The Samsung d600 I had before this one would go at least four days between charges. Finally it's essential that you buy a memory card to boost its pretty poor built in memory. Without one it will hold about four to five full songs & a handful of videos & pictures, & annoyingly you don't seem to be able to delete the factory ringtones & pictures that come with it & thus create more space.

Overall a nice phone & it does look fantastic. The reception I get on it is vastly improved compared to my old Samsung. With that one I only really got a signal indoors if I stood by the window. The LG however works everywhere in the house on almost full signal. My advice is make sure if you get this on a contract that you can change it within a set period as I am not sure everyone will like the touch screen facility.

Fell in love with the look of this phone in shop & had to have it. Got it today & not disappointed. The features are so easy to use. Menus are simple to understand. Bit of practice & a child could use it. Only downside was that the user manual not great. It doesn't tell you very much especially about connecting to PC for music etc. However have now got it sussed. Like the previous user said. Plus in USB cable. (I did download disk software first, not sure if essential). Then MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE the CONNECTION SETTING ON YOUR PHONE TO USB. MISTAKE THAT HAS TAKEN ME AN EVENING TO FIGURE OUT! Now using Windows Media player to sync & download. Easy. You will know if you are connected up right as the screen on phone will state portable Disk throughout process of moving music across. Watch this space & if anyone knows, how to easily switch this phone onto speakerphone & also if there is a bit anywhere to view the amount of energy left (other than icon on front screen) then can you let us know. Thanks.

NEXT DAY BEING 22/3/08 GOT EXCHANGE FOR COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT PHONE. IF YOU WANT RELIABILITY I WOULD SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PHONE ALTOGETHER. I DO NOT RATE LG KF600 VENUS WHAT SO EVER. I have had this phone for a fortnight now & I am loving it! The touch screen is very easy to navigate & get used to (although it's not as fast as some push button phones).

The slide mechanism is very sturdy & swift, but for 80% of the time you do not need to slide the phone up. I love the fact you can change the themes & create your own wallpapers & ringtones from your PC. This phone has everything I want & need from a phone & I think it looks GREAT!

Great phone, had it for 2 weeks now, & loving it. Looks great, quick & easy to use & has everything I need on it.

Regarding the MP3 player, plug it into your computer with the lead provided, & you get 2 drives, F drive & G drive. The G drive is the generic phone memory, F drive is any added memory card. Simply click & drag across to where you want to put the files. Real easy, don't need the software they provide with it.

Excellent phone all round. Easy to use. Looks so sleek & feel so good in the hand. It will be phone of the year no doubt. The only downside, is that you cannot have your own tunes as a sms, but can as a ringtone tone.

Confused & Frustrated from London, UK, the best & easier way of getting your tunes onto your phone, is take your microSD card out of the phone & put it into your microSD adapter, adapter into PC & open up windows media player & drag & drop into the folder which comes up when you hit the sync button. You can also save & drag & drop pictures into this folder as well. Put microSD card back into phone, & all your tunes & picture will be on your phone, under stuff. This is all hoping that you have a MicroSD card & some sort of card reader. Good luck.

Please Please Please, before people submit a review on a phone. First you need to read the manual, have some idea on how to use a phone, & take a few days or more to play with it, use it, test it, try it, compare it, research it, Google it, check forums, & ask about something you don't know about, then you can give a proper review. Had this phone for over a week, & can say this is a awesome phone. What I like about it, is that it has stolen all the good bits from the other phones. Easy texting (Nokia), great music player (Sony Ericsson), great slide look & lots of options (Samsung), style (most LG phones). Not too big not too small. Feels great in the hand. Easy to use once you know how to use it. Very good receiving & taking phones calls. Clear speech. Can personalize it to what you want, once you played about with it. The software is easy to use & not too complicated. I have the Prada, take away the name & not the greatest specs, but still a good phone & Viewty, great phone, but has a feel of a bulky phone somehow.

And I think this phone is better as it has stolen bits from those two phone as well, & you are left with a all rounder phone. The bad bits, Sometime you had to press the button a few time for it to react. Like any phones like this you need a crystal hard case to keep the finger marks off. The case it comes with, WHY? Yes there are phones out there with better specs, but for all round phone, with style, great idea with modern & old school ideas. Great price. TOP THIS!

Just got this phone as a contract upgrade this morning & I have to say I am impressed with it so far. I am a fan of LG but have never had one of their phones. I know some people with the Viewty & from what I've heard the interface isn't brilliant however on this phone it really is. The fact that the buttons change depending on the screen you're on & that you can customize them makes this phone very usable, so far I haven't experienced any lag on the menu, & the touch pad is very responsive. Yes it does lack some features & the camera isn't brilliant compared with some newer phones, but overall I really like it. Let's hope it continues.
