This phone is horrible! The fact that it keeps switching off is worse than annoying & I need a phone that is reliable, but this one is so not! Nothing fixes its technical errors & if you own this phone long enough, you'll experience the same problems as the rest of us. Don't even consider bying this thing, it looks great but it is a disaster.

- Very unsatisfactory performance.
- Too much heat dissipation after 5 min of talking.
- Very poor battery backup. Repeatedly hanging.

My sincere suggestion, don't buy this model. Even if we get a problem the servicing centre guys are not able to fix the problems in this Model. I faced this problem. Better don't prefer LG mobiles.

Having this phone for over a year now, I have more than got used to the phone & its failings.

The manufacturers claims it is a fashion phone are correct, although pleasing on the eye, this design has many short comings:

- Power off button, located on the side, means the phone will be frequently turned off, whilst in your pocket.

- the USB port is guarded by a piece of casing which is opened to input the cable, this piece is very small & fragile, & snaps easily.

- Battery cover comes loose within the first month & falls off very frequently.

The phone is also difficult to use, the touch screen navigation bar is over sensitive & not necessary, buttons would suffice, as the touch screen function only seems to work on selected days.

The phone also has a tendency to SWITCH OFF RANDOMLY, REJECT SIM CARD, FAIL TO CONNECT TO NETWORK, FAIL TO LOAD CONTACTS, FAILS TO LOAD MESSAGE INBOX & MISSED CALLS, which is extremely infuriating.

Couple this with extensive loading time, the phone is extremely difficult to live with.

It is also difficult to work out how to answer the phone, after a year it still takes me at least 10 seconds to remember whether to slide up or press the button.

The price doesn't match the quality, there are far better phones on the market for far less money.

Other than the problems above the phones features are adequate: MP3, camera, video & email, but nothing special.

Overall I wouldn't recommend buying this phone at all, it's very difficult to live with. The post is a better form of communication than this phone.

I bought this phone after my Samsung D900i got stolen & was the happiest person for buying it. 6 Months into owning it however, it started giving problems. It just switches itself off for no apparent reason. Or the screen just goes blank & you have to remove the battery to get it working again. Recently it has taken up the habit of rejecting my SIM card. I will never buy another LG product again in my life as LG just pulls up their shoulders.

I bought this phone when it was launched, since I keep changing my phones after every two weeks I had to give it up as well, thinking that you must slide the phone to answer calls, there is no other way around it & I was using it for more than 2 months, now I bought this phone again, been using it for like more than 3 months, the battery lasts easily for 4 days, with talking & texting, & I am a heavy texter, its really good at the camera section as well, the pictures are clear & without any noise & without any pixilation, the touch pad takes some time getting used to, other than that, it's a really cool phone, looks to match a Nokia 8800 easily, the touch pad does NOT lack anything, it's just new to some people that's all, otherwise it's a really cool phone, when you take care of your things they serve you well, period.

This phone is one of the best looking ones out yet, its slim, shiny & stylish! Its 2 tone colour contrast gives it the main feature. HOWEVER. It's really sensitive. I had to take it 4 repair only once, because of the keypad.

This phone HAS a zoom option for the camera.

The glass on my LG KF510 cracked suddenly, & is too expensive to repair. Anyone got cheaper solutions (apart from selling or buying a new phone). I had to put up with the damaged phone for 3 months but then it started malfunctioning. The keypad messed up. The charging slot, whenever I put the charger in, the phone turns off (but not from the USB cable only the charger), later on, the LCD cracked too.

Can anyone tell me how to repair this phone for a cheap price in London? (no more than £25 please) I really like this phone & it's the best. But I want it to work. Please I paid much 4 this phone & I don't want to lose it (I paid £140). PLEASE HELP ME!

I think this phone is great! I disagree with all the other users that don't like this phone. It's really how you use it & the longer you play around with it. It's really easy & great to use. & YES! This phone does have a zoom in for camera. I think that people who say oh it doesn't have this doesn't have that is completely wrong. You just have to read the manual & get to know this phone. Umm & the touch pad is sensitive so yeah it might go to this & that when your using it. But that's what's cool about it.

I recommend for people looking at this phone to buy it!

Slim, sleek & stylish :).

Looks great but has a few shortcomings.

I've had it for about 4 months before it started to break. First it started telling me the SIM card was removed when it wasn't then it began to shut off when I closed the slide. It soon started to freeze after I'd done actions such as deleting messages & it just wouldn't do anything no matter how long I waited.

Its battery life is also disappointing & often I found it told me I had about a third left when really it was about to die on me.

Other than that it's a great phone, but only if you can live with having to deal with some really frustrating problems quite frequently.

The phone is quite good. I have 2 problems with it though.

- the touch pad is too touchy & you click on things by accident which can get very annoying.
- Texting takes forever because when ever you need to write two letters on one key you have to wait for the letter to stop being highlighted before you press the button again.

I LOVE THIS PHONE! The phone doesn't deserve the price. I thought it would've been more expensive.

I disagree with the other owners. The touch screen isn't that hard to use. There's a zoom (put on the camera & press the up button at the side) & like. Hello! I got this phone last week. The first night of using it, I can turn off the annoying melodic sound of the keys. Mine doesn't run out of battery all of a sudden too. I haven't charged it for two days & it is still up in two bars.

However. The music player is so hard to use, it wasn't like my old Nokia 5300 which shows it's real title. This phone only shows the file title. The body is also too smooth. I am having difficulty keeping it in my hands. The suite software in my PC is also so hard to use. I cannot put games in my phone. Also. When I put my memory card in my laptop & create a new folder, it is invisible in the phone.

But you should admit. The style & price is so irresistible!

The worst phone I have ever. Since December 2008, when I bought the phone, have taken it for repairs twice, had a new replacement & now getting the make & model changed completely to a more reliable Nokia or Samsung. Calls are cut part way through a conversation, if you call someone, it rings once or twice & then disconnects, does not make calls at all sometimes, speaker phone comes on automatically, clock has to be manually updated, battery needs charging every other day (even though I use the phone for an average of 6 minutes a day) etc. My first & last time that I purchase an LG phone.

I bought an LG KF510 in June 2008 & by December I had to give it for repairing at the service centre 3 times. Again today I am going to have to take it to the service centre.

The problem with this phone is that it automatically switches off, the buttons seem to have a life of their own, without even touching them they go in messages or contacts etc. The phone is not even worth 1$. Have learnt my lesson & once the warranty expires I'll go back to my good old Nokia.

Any one buying an LG KF510, please don't judge it by its good looks, you'll regret it very soon.

I don't know if this is just my phone alone are if other people have this problem but my whole left hand side of this phone has just stopped working! So my 1, 4, 7 & star keys.
It started last night with just the 4 key, then 7 but this morning they all aren't working & from all the phone sites I have been on it hasn't been a problem for anyone else.

If this has happened to you can you please let me know, I can't live without my phone, thanks heaps.

Be careful when to buy. The MP3 is very specific about the data type. I loaded some MP3's from my Sony Ericsson to the KF510 for my daughter, most of the MP3's the KF510 could not read.

Also the video playback feature is limited. Tracked the specifics of a captured video, 3GP LOOKS LIKE 3GP4 but is it?

At least it works like a phone.

I adore this phone! It's really stylish & everyone's complimented it, the one problem is the memory but I bought a memory card & its fine for memory now. It's very easy to use, at first it takes a day or two to get used to the controls because you just touch the dots & it takes up or down, left & right. & if you want to scroll faster you can hold the dot or drag your finger in the direction & it animates your finger movements. I have had this phone for about two of three months now & I love it, however its keeps freezing whenever I insert the memory card, but if you leave it for a couple of hours it works again or you can take the memory card out & it works again. But I'll take it back & see if it can be fixed. Apart from that it's been great, although if you aren't that good with gadget things I wouldn't buy it because it will take a lot of getting used to the touch controls.

Overall I LOVE IT!

If I try to send, from another device to my phone, a 650kb picture via Bluetooth, it tells me that I don't have enough space in the phone. How is it possible, I have space in both, internal & external memory. Is there any way to select the external memory as the reception of files via Bluetooth? Thank you very much.

I bought this phone for my daughter two weeks ago, & all her friends were stunned. The phone is absolutely sleek & cool, but suddenly the problem arises with the MP3 player that would not recognize any MP3 songs in the phone (says empty playlist). She uses 2MB SanDisk card. First time you start the MP3 player after switching on the phone, it takes over a minute to start MP3 player, it's probably searching the whole memory (internal & external) for MP3 files. But now, no matter what you do it says that all the lists are empty! I tried to format the card & than transferred the MP3 files again in the sounds folder like before, I also tried to reset the phone, but still it refuses to work, but when you browse the phone with my files (like windows explorer), you can find & play the files, but not with MP3 player. The problem is that using it this way, you cannot make any playlists, cannot use shuffle or repeat, & you have to deal with the bunch of a few hundred unorganised files directly, which is really boring. I'll try to take it to a workshop to fix the problem, of course under warranty.

On the other side, it sounds great in conversations (the tone quality is high on both sides, you always get an undistorted sound in the earphone & the other person always get great sound from your phone), but the battery life is average, which is still OK. The camera is quite good. Shortly, if it's all about stile, than it really shines!

Also battery just drains even when it is just sat on the side. Don't get one from Carphone Warehouse. Won't give me a replacement or money back. LG KF510, BUGS, Technical Problems, RSAP, VW PREM Kit. I found a problem in this mobile phone (LG KF510) related with the use of the Remote SIM Access Profile (RSAP) with my VW PREM Kit. The Phone & the Car Bluetooth system works fine but when I get out of my car or I disconnect the link the Phone does not return to the service provider & it gives a message rejected by the net, until you made a reset of the Phone. If this problem persists I will have to change again to my old 3630 Nokia. I do NOT recommend this mobile Phone for all VOLKSWAGEN with the VW PREM kit.

This phone looks nice, it ends there. There's nothing really too special about it, the camera is average, the applications are average & I have to say, compared to some other touch phones, the touch pad really irritated me, especially in the winter when I had to actually warm it up so the touch pad would work! I also cannot find out how to turn off the camera noises & the stupid noises it makes when you are texting, without turning it on silent.

It looks a great phone until you open up the phone & the lights on the touch screen appear. Nobody ever said the lights on the sunset red version would be pink! & it's a bright pink which I can't seem to change. If anyone knows how to change the colour of the LED lights then please tell me.

Phone is okay. It has decent functions apart from a lack of decent games.

Functionality is okay as well. Touch screen works most of the time, but there are some downsides to the phone. You can't do anything else on the phone whilst listening to the radio, headphones don't fit in your ear very comfortably, small memory, no zoom on camera, video is poor & all pictures are taken landscape.

Overall, it's an okay phone, average for the £80 I paid.

2 problems though, when it's cold the interact pad freezes so you have to find some way of warming it up then it will work again. & battery life dies if your texting for about an hour & make about three 20 minute long calls. The camera is very good, the flash is amazing

Just a few thoughts. Battery life is down to 17 hours standby & the phone is only 3 months old. I keep finding a message on screen saying please switch on after inserting SIM even though it's still in there, this means you are out of contact without knowing it. There are no emoticons, so no sending a smilie at the end of a text. Predictive text is rubbish, on an Ericsson if you want to spell say elephant, by about the h the word comes up & you just have to hit the space bar to continue on this you have to type the whole word. Earpiece volume can be very loud & blow your head off although it's very easy to turn down during a call. The screen is bullet proof.

Problem after problem. I had this phone for approximately 4 months then it had to be sent back for repair. It would only make emergency calls, when a call came through I could hear them but they couldn't hear me, battery died all of a sudden with no warning. It was sent to repair it came back doing exactly the same so was given another. It would start going through the memory & phone book on its own going crazy & you couldn't stop it. In 6 months I have had nothing but problems.

The sensitivity of the keypad seems to drop within quite a short amount of time. The battery needed charging every night but did not last long. I would not recommend this phone.

I've had mine for about a month & I love it, the design is pretty much perfect & the features are what I needed, if not amazing.

But the touch screen, nightmare! It's really hard to use.

Also, the slider button to hang up is so impractical.

I got mine from the Carphone Warehouse & the touch screen has bust after just a few weeks. I've had to send it to be repaired, gutted!

Good phone but not brilliant. Have been issued with a Nokia 1650 which is superb. No camera or anything flashy on it. Just a sturdy brilliant phone. The battery lasts a week at FULL bars & then on day 7 you lose a bar. Can't recommend it enough!

The camera is of a very good quality with 3.2 megapixel pictures at your fingertips. A very sleek & stylish design. I like a good looking phone that's also thin, & with a lot of cool features. This review is for my girlfriend, who actually owns & uses this phone. Despite its killer looks & nice casing, this phone is causing major headaches when it comes to operating it.
The touchpad lacks accuracy & sensitivity, resulting in operations you don't want to operate, unless you go really slowly. The keypad has bad durability. After 4 months of using it for the occasional text message, the 0 & 7 keys are deteriorating, causing them to function only now & then. Battery life is not very good. Battery appears empty all of sudden so you never see it coming either.

The phone gets hotter while calling than most phones, annoying. It makes worse picture than my previous, 2.5 year old Nokia slider. It sometimes crashes when receiving files through Bluetooth.

The phone has been in for repairs to the keypad, the heat problem & the crashing. However, all that was done to it was a firmware update. Apparently nothing changed very much, especially the keys.

Disappointing experience overall.

Let me start off by saying I love to hate this phone, I've had it for a month now, I purely bought it based on looks & features afterwards.

What I love.

- It has your typical average standard features: the one that stood out for me was the 3.0 mp with flash :-D.
- It is very attractive: Love the two toned effect, smooth body, the buttons very nice to press & also the touch screen.
- It's durability, the metal designed body & scratch resistant glass is great for those who drop their phone.
- The extras it came with: I didn't expect for it to come with a USB so I was happy!

What I hate.

- The touch screen: I am sure everyone would agree to this, after a week of having it I really just wanted to take this back, I hate the fact that it has a mind of its own, that it lags & it just makes life harder. Hence why I rated the usability so low.
- Zoom, why is there no zoom on this phone? I don't understand you can have a 3.0 mp phone with flash & no zoom?

That's about it for now, I do love this phone but the touch screen can have such an impact on whether you like this phone or not. I say choose very carefully & think very carefully because when you buy it you will need a high tolerance or at least know where to get it fixed.

Had this phone a good 4 months now.

I have to say I think the design of this phone is spot on. It looks & feels great. The key pad has a nice button press to it.

The bad point is the touch panel! Mine was glitchy from the get go, it eventually dies completely & was going off like it had a mind of its own. It has since been repaired & the software updated, its working better than ever now & have to say it's really usable.

The camera is good in the day light & pretty much useless at other times.

Battery life is good for a phone with its features, but does drain rapidly if you use the MP3 player for extended periods.

It's a decent phone for the price, I would say.

Major design flaw is that we have to press the camera button twice to activate the touch pad when the slider is not drawn. Now if you are a right handed person (which is normally the case) & if you are operating the phone with a single hand, the button is placed in a clumsy location (right bottom corner of the phone) I have ended up dropping the phone from my hand.

The video camera sucks. The FPS is so bad. The maximum resolution is also not that great.

Speaker quality for listening to songs on the phone is at best average.

Bottom line, value for money phone but nothing great except the style.

I love everything about this phone except for the video recorder. It really is rubbish & I am really disappointed.

The sound is 2 seconds behind the picture (I'd expect it to be the other way around if anything! ). That doesn't sound bad, but it's so out of sync it makes all your videos look bizarre, people singing when their mouths are closed, a clip looks like a badly dubbed film etc. The sound cuts out randomly too.

All phone cameras have a delay, but this is really bad. For £140 I expected the same quality as my old Motorola L7 or my Sony K500i. It's so bad that I am on my second phone, the video is still unusable & so I am getting my money back.

The quality of both the camera & the MP3 player is great. & the screen is very clear to see. Would recommend you buy a memory card if you want to store lots on this phone.

It is a bit limited with ringtones (& even message tones), you do get a few but they are remind me of trashy Euro pop tunes, but if you up load music onto the phone to use on the MP3 player it easy to set them as your ring tones.

The screen can be seen even in direct sun light.

Just make sure you buy a memory card, otherwise you are stuck with 4 songs, or 4 pictures (on highest quality).

Got this phone the day it came out purely for its looks & I am very happy with it.

Everything about it oozes quality, it's very well made, has a solid sturdy feel & looks great, plus it's only 10.9mm thick!

Touch screen didn't take long to get use to & is easy to use.

All in all it's a great mobile, definitely one of the best out there!
