I like this phone. It design so nice. BUT! The Battery Is RUBBISH! Only 800mah! But others features are very good & I like the MP3 player that so nice! I have this phone almost 1 year, I dropped it 100, 000, 000, 000 times but it still works! Children use mine, so dropped many times! However, I LOVE this phone.

I have had this phone for about a year now & in the past month all it has done is freeze! It's a very nice model although the touchpad can sometimes be awkward & doesn't work. It is a very strong phone as I have dropped it millions of times from high up (even from my horse) & nothing has happened to it.
It scratches quite easily especially on the touchpad area. The camera is quite good but my flash stopped working after about a month of having my phone. The most important things I look for in a phone is the camera, how easy it is to text, the battery & the memory. It is fine to text with & the memory is quite good however the battery life is not very good, I have to charge it every night & even then sometimes it doesn't last all day.
This phone hasn't really got any games except Sudoku & a racing game. You can change the ringtone into whatever you want but you can't change the text tones, there are about 5 tones to choose from which are quite girly.
This is a very nice looking phone however I am bored with it already & want a new one! As well as wanting a new one I am forced to get a new one as it keeps turning itself on & off, now it won't even turn on. This is a very stylish phone however you cannot change the colour of the menus so it has to stay Orange.
This phone could be made a lot better in many ways, to make it more personal. In future I won't be getting another LG phone in a hurry. As they say, looks can be deceiving.

Design.
The Phone it's self is really stunning but I wish it could've been more sleek & had more rounded corners.
Features.
There were a lot of good features however on the camera you couldn't zoom in that much which was quite irritating.
Usability.
I got the phone on contract & it was perfectly fine, my friend had an LG & hers kept mucking up its screen went funny, a lot of the features wouldn't work etc. I didn't have any of these problems until the last two months of the contract.
My Screen would go white, have lines down it, go black, have red patches, it occasionally froze & had very little signal. I had treated my phone very well & I have noticed that LG's generally don't work too well so I would advise you don't buy an LG & instead stick to a good Nokia or Sony Ericsson because these hardly break, they're incredibly durable & I've never had a problem with one.

I had this phone for about 14 to 15 months, & I have to say is a bit boring! It has standard features, but the camera is great! Memory, good, & battery life are all good. I freezes occasionally but it's not a huge problem just to warn you in case you didn't know you can't change the text tone on a LG! & the text tones a little bit girly. It of looks so good because hardly anyone else has one, if you can't seem to find on look of eBay. The GAMES ARE rubbish! There are two Sudoku, very boring & some terrible racing game, with terrible graphics. I have never had a problem with texting & calling, & the PHONE IS SO STURDY! Serious I have drooped it over 200 times on rough concrete from about a metre up, even submerged a bit of it in water & it's still fine! But if you can something to catch people's eyes then go for it!

I loved the design of this phone & it does look & feel good however I've had it on an 18 month contract (currently in month 14) & won't be getting another LG. I can hear clearly during calls but the other person can sometimes hear a loud buzzing that drowns out my voice.
The predictive text gets confused occasionally & types in letters other than the one I am actually trying to type. I can't always turn the phone off & have to resort to pulling the battery off.
The screen freezes or I just get flashing bar code type horizontal lines across the screen. The battery life was never that great & has now become really bad but I'd expect that with any phone over 18 months. Car charger was a life saver.
On the upside, I purchased an SD memory card & I now have masses of stuff saved on there. I have also printed off some great photos taken with the phone camera. The radio & MP3 players are both good. Despite the touch screen being a bit weird to get used to initially I now find it very easy to navigate & have never rung anyone accidentally whilst the phone was in my bag or pocket.

Hopeless. You can actually see the battery level drop as a call comes in. Plus the phone rings out to whoever whilst it's in your pocket. LG couldn't care less. Never ever buy from LG. Be warned.

What a hunk of junk! I got this on contract (even after reading other reviews, I thought they was just bad experiences) & whilst it looks great, the phone is absolute rubbish!
Had it a month before it broke, sent it off to LG for fixing & had to chase it up every week for 3 months. NEVER SEND ANYTHING OFF TO LG! Call centre nightmare!
Phone froze, camera didn't work, screen appeared upside down or not at all, cut off mid call. Where do I stop!
Eventually got it back, still not working. Flogged on eBay to some fool & bought myself a nice reliable Nokia!
If you are thinking of buying this, think again. I wanted to smash it over the head of an LG worker!

This phone is one of the most beautiful phones on the market. However it is rubbish. Good specs but the screen just seems to go all white when it feels like. You have no control over that. I wouldn't recommend buying it to no one, unless you want to buy mine. LG IT'S A SHAME.

I just bought this phone today on the computer it was all I could think about. The phone just looks so hot, so rich, & oh so expensive. I was under the impression that the phone was built very well. On the computer it looks like a very heavy phone. Like as if all the gold colour parts were some type of very sturdy metal. I guess I thought that because I also have the LG ke970 shine & the whole phone is made of steel & stainless. After getting the ke800 I was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong. The phone works well & has some cool features but it is one of the cheapest made phones that I have ever had. It's very flimsy & plasticy. It feels like it can break very easy. The number key pad is very dim & the ear piece volume is too low for an LG. I also have the vx8500 chocolate for version & all those functions are awesome. I don't know. Maybe it's just me but the phone was so much more appealing before I got it. Too pricey for what they give you in this phone.

Bought this phone was great for about a month when the screen broke, this has happened twice within 6 months, also had the problem with texting when the keys decided what letter to put in & I don't mean predictive text I pressed number 2 for an A & got a Z! Also had problems with it freezing, couldn't switch it off so had to keep disconnecting the battery to do so. Definitely not worth the money for something that looks nice but cannot perform, I would recommend that people steer clear of this phone very bad indeed.

The good:
Screen resolution, the feminine but amazing & well made design! The good MP3 player! Easy to use, the original touch buttons!
The bad:
The camera of 2MP makes great photos viewed on the phone but looks bad on you computer! The touch button are some wise confusing with the lack of some vibration when it touched! It's made exclusive for women!
Conclusion:
If you are a man that needs to impress your soul mate there is nothing better than a 'chocolate'.

If you have this phone & there is anything wrong with it, all that it is, is that you just got some cheaper version of it, that is probably off eBay or something. I mean if someone is selling it on eBay then there has to be something wrong with it. Just look at it! Why on earth would anyone want to sell this phone if there wasn't something wrong with it! LG Australia doesn't want to take under warranty because the phone from another country (tragic for such a company, no international warranty! ) the screen is gone! I got my LG kE800 in June this year & at first really liked it. I'd had it for a few months & the touch screen started to decide to play up. The buttons stopped working completely so any texts I got I couldn't read. I took it in for repair & come back with muck under the screen, how annoying. They must have taken off the screen & not wiped it before it got put back on! The buttons still play up now & stop working but they come back on. This phone is really annoying. The memory is rubbish & it gets scratched really easily. The 2MP camera is awful. There's no zoom unless you're on video mode. You can't change your message tone. Only the ones that are already on the phone you can select! DO NOT GET THIS PHONE IT IS AWFUL, I USED TO REALLY LIKE IT WHEN I 1ST GOT IT, I am soon to change it. I regret ever getting this phone.

I loved this phone when I saw it & really had to get it, however I am now of the same opinion as the other guys. It's horrible. My battery lasts 2 days maximum (when I don't use it). The camera is very good but drains the battery in about 5 minutes. My screen keeps on going all snowy with it sometimes not even coming on but the touchpad lighting up. All in all guys it looks like a lush phone but it's really bad after a while, I strongly advise not to get this phone, you'll love it then hate it.

T9 learning mode does not remember Croatian characters & also the phone deletes learned words after a while. Hello guys. Notice that this is a KE model, & not a KG model like the old KG800.
This KE800 platinum model, is the same basis as the others KE models, like the KE850 Prada (touchscreen too) & the LG shine phone is also the same KE basis.
KE 850 prada & KE970 shine & KE800 Platinum is al the same, it is mostly the design that changes.
You have to see this phone live to notice how exclusive it looks & feels, nothings else in that price ranges.
Look at the spec. At Shine vs. Prada vs. Platinum, al KE basis.
Another nice thing is that you can use it as simple USB flas disk anyway without any driver og software, & for eks. You can buy 2 GB Micro SD for 40 $ & have a lot stores in it, for anytime.

This is a good phone with a good ability however there should be more storage & should get to charges & two leads just incase one gets lost. This phone should have more features such as radio & games.
Free calls weekends for Vodafone should be free completely weekends because if it says free calls it should be free however if you go over 60 mins you get charged witch is not good why have free calls if they cost after so long.
The set up of this phone is the same as any other phone. I think the design is very good it is easy to handle nice pocket size.
The only thing I don't like about this phone is if you go over 60mins on weekends you have to pay & when someone rings you on private number your ring tone comes up but when someone rings you on not private a ring tone your phone wishes to use uses it witch can become very frustrating.
Please be carefully with the phone get scratched very easy keep away from your keys. You get a screen wiper it comes in handy.
Thank you for listening to my views on the LG KG800.

The phone looks great & I love the sound effects for the open & close & the key tones etc but after owning it for 2 months I've come to learn about a few of the things that it doesn't do that my old phone did do! (I had a Sony Ericsson W800i)
* For example the main thing I miss is the voice activated dialing. I think this phone would be so much better if it had that feature. Especially with the current new laws on handheld phones & driving! It's good that it has the Bluetooth feature to connect to a Bluetooth car kit but if trying to ring someone using the hands-free system I still have to pullover to pick up my phone & find the person's number on my phone then ring it before I can carry on with my journey. At least it still works better when someone rings me while at the wheel as I just have to press the answer button on my handfree kit.
*Also I am rather disappointed with the caller photo I.d. Function. The phone doesn't seem to agree with pics taken on other phones or downloaded from my computer even if they have been reduced to a small enough size. They're either unusable for the photo caller I.d. Function or they distort with being a different shape to the phone's screen. So this isn't good really!
* The touch sensitive key pad can be really annoying too. As the right arrow & the delete key are next to each other so if trying to move your cursor in a text to edit it, you end up hitting the delete button & deleting the message text instead! It's not as if my fingers are too big to use the key pad either as I have small hands & fingers. So I've no idea how a guy would cope with bigger hands & fingers!
* Texting is a bit of a struggle at times. As I am not able to change words easily in the T9 mode. You can change the word but only if you realise before you move along to type the next word in the message otherwise you have to scroll back with the cursor & delete the whole word & type it in again & then change it to the correct word by hitting the down cursor. With my old phone I could select the whole word again & change it even after finishing writing the text!
*I have to complain about the camera too, the zoom is a bit rubbish & the photos aren't that good quality either. The video is a bit poor too as the screen area it fills is pretty tiny.
I think this phone is good if you want it for a fashion accessory as it looks gorgeous but if you need it for practical reasons then it's not really the phone for you.
I wish I'd gone for a different one now really, but at least if it annoys me too much more I can put my sim in my old phone.

The phone is great in most instances & the revolutionary design of the touch & select front case is superb. However there are a few tweaks that would seriously improve the phone. The option to change the front panel sensitivity. Did someone forget to put the lights on the keypad? My wife loves the phone but is annoyed that there is no light for illuminating the keys when sending a text at night.
Like having a car with no lights, come on LG wake up!

I am sorry but touch pads now almost annoy me. If it's on a house phone then it's OK but if your text & you have a touch pad on that then I'd get really angry. I was surprised to read the comments from Jim James in Bath, UK, I hope your comments are too true James, as I prefer LG Chocolate Platinum a million times more than the Samsung E900, just not a Samsung fan (Sorry. All comments have been helpful & thanks for the full review, very informative. Yum Yum the Chocolate Platinum will be mine.

This phone is rubbish. I rather buy the e900 cause they look the same with out the chrome bar going through it is just rubbish, sorry it is. Anyone who wants one should buy an e900 Samsung.
