The Renoir is so bad it is unreal. It takes 14 minutes to load the music player! The touch screen in awful you have to press down hard for it to work. It is super slow it takes forever for things to load, & is just rubbish compared to an iPhone, seriously do not buy this phone.

I have had my Renoir for 8 Months now, & I'll admit, it is a good phone, if you have a week to spare when you first get it, if you went from a touchpad to touch screen then it isn't really that bad.
Right, the good points.
- Quite easy to use when you get used to it.
- Fairly simple phone for beginner touch screen users.
- That's it.
Now, the bad points.
- the WORST battery life I have ever seen. EVER.
- Sound is HORRID.
- Touch screen is useless.
- UI doesn't barely work when in video mode.
- Pictures only really look good on a computer (which I saw in another review, & fully agree with).
- Not much to do on the phone, no application downloads. Etc.
- Can't really hear the other person on the other end of the phone.
- I don't know if this is a recurring problem but the phone doesn't like to charge AT ALL! When battery is dead, that's when it works, not when you want to charge it.
- Barely any accessories.
Next contract, personally, an N96 Sounds like the best idea for me, or failing that, a blackberry, a phone that ACTUALLY works, & even if I have to lie to get rid of this hunk of trash, I'll be more than happy.
There is so much wrong with this phone, that I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy to be completely honest.

Right. I spent over £200 on this phone. My goodness what a mistake. It's like a lump of plastic. It's so light & plastic (if that's a word) & it doesn't feel like it's worth that much.
The screen is the worst touch screen ever. It's more like a press hard screen LOL (unlike the LG KS360, where the touch screen has as heat sensor). The phone is slow. Especially with the 8GB memory card, it takes forever for all the pictures & music to load.
The touch screen can be very unresponsive, then it will all suddenly happen at once. This has happened many times. Making me send empty texts to everyone. & no way can you text fast. Its way too slow it misses letters & doesn't respond sometimes. Unlike on the Samsung Tocco where you can text at the speed of light LOL.
It's annoying that there isn't a little bit to put the touch pen. Like on the cookie!
The 8MP camera looks good. But ONLY on the COMPUTER. The pictures look RUBBISH on the screen. But on the computer look great.
This phone is not good at all! I traded it in to Carphone Warehouse for £85 yes I have lost over £100 on this pile of rubbish. I now have the LG KS360. It has a 2MP camera & the pictures look amazing on the screen compared to the Renoir. I also love the QWERTY keyboard & touch features. & only cost £68 :O.
I would AVOID this phone! It also has signal problems which LG couldn't fix. Hence the cheap trade in I got!

Come on all of you, the LG Renoir is the best phone out. No other phone can beat it. I recommend everyone to buy this phone.

I love my Renoir phone although have a few gripes the same as others but then is there any phone that is perfect? No animations to insert into text & phone locks at times & have to take the battery out.
I would also like to know if it is possible to get a repeat alert on a missed call. I have put on repeat alert for message but can't find it for missed call. Thanks Annette.

Phone nice looking. Battery life fine (4 to 5 days on full charge), unless you use the net quite a bit & it lasts 1 to 2 days. Camera has too many features that don't work. I stick to my Fuji Digital Camera. MP3 player very good quality, but ringtones, inc. MP3 ones are a bit quiet & I occasionally miss a call. Texting can be a bit fiddly.
To Dene (Nottingham), I have had this similar problem occur twice in the four months I have had the phone & thought I'd lost all my files. Taking out the 8GB card & reinserting it back in has done the trick for me both times. A little irksome, but none of the data was lost.
A good phone, but still can't beat my previous Sony Ericsson W850i.

Don't get me wrong, this is a beautiful looking phone. It's just a pain in the bits to use. I've never had a phone like this before, what with a great camera (I wanted to combine camera & phone, & sold my digital camera to get this) which takes good photos.
But comparing this to an iPhone is like comparing Tesco Value Baked Beans to Marks & Spencer mange tout. The Renoir looks pretty but it takes the patience of an absolute saint to use. The touch screen is a joke, sometimes it's very slow to select, sometimes double selecting, or not selecting at all.
It's very hard to write text messages because the on-screen buttons are so small (& I have small girly hands anyway, so don't know what it's like for the larger gentleman).
I was very close to selling it on after using for just a couple of days, & I've had it two months now, & I still feel the same.
Every time I look at it I want to smash it against the wall.
LG's PC suite is, for want of a better word, shocking. Sometimes it connects, sometimes not. There appears to be little logic or reason behind it. & that is what is so frustrating.
As I say, the camera is great, but I couldn't possibly recommend it. If you just use it for calls & to sit on the shelf & look at, it's perfect. But if you try to use any of the many features, you end up tearing your hair out or wanting to sell it on. A pain really!

LG, life's Good, well it was until 2 weeks after I had this phone.
When I opened the pack the packaging was poor, & the quality or feel of the charger, headphones etc is poor. The phone though looked great.
Now after I have used it for a few weeks - Phone crashes every now & then when I take pictures & I cannot believe its 8 Meg. The software is really bad & the phone lacks & decent add on's. Makes the iPhone seem like an awesome phone. Sold it on eBay & got a Nokia 5800, that's only 3.2 mega pixel but the pictures look better. Work that one out!

I've had the Renoir for a month now so I should have a good understanding of its successes & shortcomings.
GOOD POINTS.
- The headphones are good quality & loud but some might not like the immersive swimming pool feel of them.
- In good light & with no motion, the camera is excellent, the pictures look great once you've transferred them to the PC & the level of detail is astounding!
- Xenon flash, why do they still make phones with LED flash?
- Big screen, very good for video playback.
- DIVX support, straight from the torrents to my memory card without converting, brilliant!
- The touch interface is quite good (there's better out there) with numeric keys getting it right most of the time (even with my sausage thumbs).
- The handwriting recognition & QWERTY keypad are good with the stylus (no good without).
- Fully predictive text, this is great for big words as it will suggest words as you are typing to save you typing the full word in.
- 8GB Micro SD included & support for larger.
- Able to lock the phone whilst in video playback, I know this is a strange plus point but I found it irksome on my old phone (N82) that as soon as you breathed near it, it changed orientation or quit out completely. If you have a 2 year old, button pressing daughter who you like to keep quiet by playing episodes of Peppa Pig you have on your phone, this is invaluable!
- Good battery life, if used as a phone with the occasional photo, you'll get 4 days on a single charge. Use it as an MP3 & MP4 player & you'll have to charge it as you would an MP3 & MP4 player.
- Looks good, I am normally not that bothered but this is a nice looking phone.
- Nice default sounds (except the SMS noise), A small point but the little dinks & ditties are melodic & inoffensive.
- Status Summary dropdown is useful with shortcuts to switch on Wi-Fi & Bluetooth.
- The central button brings up more useful shortcuts & a task manager which is great for quitting apps & going back into running apps.
BAD POINTS.
- No decent offline GPS software available making internal GPS receiver largely useless (for me anyway).
- The lens cover opens in your pocket sometimes, it won't unlock the phone but it does put your lens at danger.
- Calls are sometimes answered while in your pocket, I guess this can happen with many phones but I've not had one that did this before.
- Handwriting recognition only works in portrait, this is a problem for big words or large writing as you're restricted by the narrow screen.
- The keypad auto locks too quickly in call, if you're going through an automated system, you'll have to unlock & redisplay the keypad between every choice!
- Browsing media takes ages, it takes about 20 to 30 seconds before you can do anything, then it is tedious to browse through your files & it misinterprets a swipe at press due to the phone OS being too busy showing you the file, basically, this is down to a slow processor.
- There is often a 1 to 2 second delay between pressing the shutter button & the camera actually taking the picture which makes for unpredictable results.
- Low light performance is not great, indoor shots without a flash will produce some motion blur.
- No anti shake for video capture will produce amateur looking videos.
- User manual is not very good.
- No slot for the stylus.
All in all, I am satisfied with the phone but I think I preferred my Nokia N82 as I had Tomtom on there, the phone performed a little better & the camera produced more pleasing results for stills (albeit, at a lower resolution) & video (anti shake).
The only things I don't miss on the N82 are the microscopic keypad, the smaller screen & the look of it.

Great phone tried them all & have gone back to this love it.
To Dean, I have a 16GB card in mine & no problems, think your service supplier is fobbing you off. I do know that if you use the LG software (which is awful) to place items on memory, a file is placed on the memory card which becomes corrupted & causes your type of problem. I always put stuff on with a USB memory stick. Also the file at beginning of memory card when formatted in by phone can be deleted also stops your prob. This problem also exists in Samsung Omnia.

There is no doubt that this phone looks great. It sits in its sleek little box just begging you to pick it up & give it a stroke. But believe me, that's where the pleasure ends.
Pros. Let's get the good stuff out of the way first.
- It looks good.
- Err.
- Oh, yes. & I like the little extending stylus.
Cons. Here we go.
- Camera. OK. Its 8MP (apparently, it doesn't look like it on your PC) but all those features are unnecessary. Buy a camera. Video is poor with audio out of synch. Smile feature doesn't work.
- Email. Incredibly complicated to set up. Took me ages to work out how to actually get the messages to my phone. Then when you've read them, you can't delete them & they just hang around your folders making the place look untidy & meaning you have to scroll through a million messages to find the one you want.
- Web browser. MAJOR PROBLEMS. Absolutely unusable. Some pages are OK, but move away from the big boys (onto Google search results, for example) & you will be tearing your hair out. Web pages are either so small that they are unreadable, or you can use the zoom & then have to scroll left to right & up & down over & over again to read it.
- Menu layout. OK, but will take weeks to get used to. Things are in different places. E.g. If you want to change from service provider browsing to Wi-Fi, you have to come off the Internet, find the settings in the menu, activate Wi-Fi, reconnect to the Internet & attempt to find your place on the web again.
- Touch screen. Incredibly unreliable.
If you've got one of these & you like it. Fair play to you. I upgraded from an N95 & seldom have I been as disappointed.
I should have read the reviews more carefully. Most of them talk about how great the camera & the music player are. & that seems to be the only trick this phone has.

For Dene. Have you thought of ringing LG directly to see if they can help you.
I have never heard of this problem. I have an 8GB memory card & have had the phone over 4 months. I have 320 pictures & 100 songs at the minute & about 15 videos & its all fine, no problems what so ever.
I think your best bet is to get in touch with LG. Maybe your phone software needs updating. Or you need to reformat your memory card & phone? I am not too sure.

First got this phone thought it was wonderful, but 2 weeks in it all went wrong. All my music went & at the same time my pictures too, were I do not know could not find them on my phone at all. My contract provider was so very helpful, changed the LG kC910 straight away. Then would you believe it 2 weeks in & the same thing happened again. You have got to be kidding me I thought but no this is true. Phoned my contract provider & they told me that need to down size my 8GB card to a 4GB card, what is the point of that? You are losing so much storage space. I know feel that I cannot trust this phone with my music or my pictures. Could someone please respond to me & give me some advice on what to do. This all seems just a little too much, does not seem to me that it is the memory card as the reviews that I have read the memory cards seem OK. Just very ticked off at mo as lost some off my pictures. Thank for reading HELP.

For Jay. No you can't delete the default pictures (most phones don't allow you) & no its not GB. But if you bought your phone brand new (or on contract) you should have an 8GB memory card with it, so memory shouldn't be a problem.
The lock button is on the right had side (as you look at the phone) just above the camera button. Press it to lock, & hold it to unlock.
Hope this helps.

Well I got this phone yesterday & so far it seems to be fine. I do think the Widget feature on the Cookie is better though this one is OK, I just thought the Cookie one was easier to use. I do have a few questions about the Renoir though!
Is there ANY way at all to get rid of the awful preloaded default pictures & sounds? I hate them & they seem to be taking up a huge amount of space which I could be using for something else. I tried Clear All in the Memory Manager function, but that didn't do anything at all to the phone that I could see.
Also on the Status Summary the phone says that 115M out of 169M is being used, is the megabytes or what? Very confused, sorry, can't find any info about it in the manual.
Does anyone know how to manually lock the phone, if you decide to turn off the automatic key lock? Couldn't find any info on that either.
Thanks!

Good phone, but I am going to concentrate on the drawbacks because that's what you want to know before you buy it.
Texting with the QWERTY keyboard is quite easy, & I like it. However if your use to the standard way of texting with predictive texting on, I find it pretty awkward.
Phones very awkward to hold when texting, you'll know what I mean as soon as you go & have a play with one in a mobile shop. It's just awkward!
It seems very slow & sluggish through the menus (& I mean, like I have sent quite a few blank texts because I didn't think I pressed on reply, & it goes to the next screen, & the send button is in the same place, so it sends the message blank.
Everything else is really good!

I got this phone on Friday. I am generally very please with it.
The camera stands out, & is fantastic; takes fantastic pictures & the video quality is great. There is a lot to play around with & many settings for shooting can be changed. Smile shot & blink detection are a great bonus.
I was reading reviews before buying the phone to see what negatives there were. One which came up the most was the touch screen not being very good. I think it's fantastic to be honest. It requires more of a heavy push than the iPhone or an iPod touch, but it's really a good touch screened phone.
The menu is easy to navigate around, & texting is easy (once you're used to the touch screen, that is! ) I can text nearly as quick as I could with my previous Sony Ericsson non-touch screen phone. One thing the phone doesn't have, but which I don't mind, is the option to customize. There are only 2 themes, & not much more can be changed apart from the home screen, where widgets are available, a cool little addition to LG phones. Communicating is easy, as is finding people to ring & text. Entertainment & multimedia is fantastic, with great video quality, & the included 8GB memory card means LOTS can be put on this phone, all your music & movies. The included headphones & Dolby sound makes music sound GREAT, as it does with movies.
& on top of that, the phone is sleek! An 8MP camera with xenon flash & Schneider Kreuznach lens, Dolby sound, Divx playback & great design all make this phone appealing. Some negatives I could think of are when transferring files to & or from the PC, all applications must be shut on the phone, or the file transfer cannot take place; often you don't even realise these applications are still open. The phone sometimes freezes after recording slow motion videos & then watching them back, to the point where the battery has to be removed. This has happened 4 times in 4 days. Any other bugs only happened the first time using certain features, & they now seem to have died.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this phone. After reading negative reviews for the iPhone & other touch screen phones, this is definitely one to look out for.
& on top of all that, a sleek box for a sleek phone! Unboxing this phone is very fun, & the box is amazing ha ha.
Answers to some questions posted on this review page.
Ian C, get the Renoir. The C905 is very bulky & I have read it has LOTS of bugs.
Mark, the sound is only off sync on the 3G video settings, which I don't use. The phone defaults to a low size & quality, so I always up it to the highest, this way videos can be viewed in HQ on YouTube & look great on your PC.
Wayne Huckerby, Yes, you can assign different ringtones to different people, any song you choose.
Callum, you can, but there's not that many yet. Wait a few months & I am sure there'll be a few when it's released in North America.
Hope I helped some of you.
9 out of 10.

Just got this phone today & have been messing around with it all day. I tested the problems most people say they encounter with this phone, yes it's difficult to get used to, but no, the touch screen is great, as is the picture quality in the dark. Video recording playback is JUST out of time, which is alright I guess.
The camera is fantastic quality, really does look professional when you take a picture. I like the auto focus & other built in apps here, such as the smile detection & anti blink. Slow motion video is good too.
Overall I'd definitely recommend this phone. I've had a few freezes but that's probably me.

I want this phone to be great but like someone else mentioned there are some problems. I am not sure though how much this is to do with the phone itself & how much to do with the service provider. I have not been able to set the service centre number for messaging. I am hoping it is a problem with my SIM, otherwise the phone will have to go.
Also the screen locks after about 6 seconds & you have to continuously unlock it. This is the same no matter what you do to turn off this feature! That is very irritating.
& yes, I can read & understand the manual.

For Paul, I think you have a faulty phone. I have had none of these problems. I even bought the phone second hand around 3 months ago. I think you need to contact where ever you got your phone as it sounds faulty to me.
Honestly if you had my one you would love it. I have never had to turn it off due to freezes. It connects to my computer fine (Windows Vista) I have no problems with compatibility with the camera.
Sometimes it takes a while to load. But I have nearly filled the 8GB memory card up.
But yeah sounds like your handset is faulty.

I was really excited about upgrading my phone to a Renoir. I'd seen some bad reviews but decided people were just being picky. However, this is the first phone out of many that I have disliked & decided to return. The screen is very unresponsive, & the menus are very confusing. It is lacking in personalised features. It only comes with 2 basic & boring themes. I felt like it was a businessman's phone, with lots of complicated gizmos but lacking the fun or touch of colour that I find valuable. I have no doubt that many will love this phone for its camera & Internet (which I was also disappointed by). But sadly the overall quality was poor. It had terrible call quality, & I am now steering clear of touch phones as I find them very irritating when they self lock during calls & general use. I hope to be a help, & that you do like it if you already have one.

Don't believe the hype. This phone has been nothing but irritation for me from brand new out of the box.
Regular crashes & freezes whilst in various screen modes. Full screen turns black & the only way to rectify this is to remove battery & switch on again. When moving through the screens it starts. To. Go. Very slow. After taking pictures the phone couldn't retrieve them from the memory card, it reported cannot execute. Conflict with camera, the only way around this was to reformat the card, the phone was nearly executed by throwing against a wall. Touching key tones gives audible response & vibration, but did not actually DO anything. Often went to emergency calls only, when in perfectly serviceable areas, Internet connection is also tediously slow in serviceable areas. The PC suite software is garbage, wouldn't recognise phone (this was on an XP & a vista PC). The ring tone is ridiculously quiet even when on loud setting, great if you work in a library.
Extremely irritating fact is the phone automatically goes into auto lock when you are actively making a call, this means if you need to use a touch tone service you have to keep unlocking the phone every few seconds then press the keypad button to continue making the call. This is incredibly annoying. If you use the camera & change settings, the next time you use the camera the settings have defaulted back to the original. The speaker quality on calls is hit & miss, sometimes superb, sometimes rubbish.
The phone does look good & does genuinely have some nice features, but the bad points in this phone far outweigh the good ones. It is just too tedious to bother with. I have better things to be doing than tolerating this aberration of technology. Anybody who has XP & then moved to Vista on their PC will see the similarity with this phone. Maybe I've been unlucky with mine, but the phone is being exchanged for a different model after just one week. I'll be glad to see it gone, utterly woeful.

For Lucas, I haven't heard of this problem before, I definitely haven't had it. Maybe it's the way you are treating it?
For Allison, You can save contacts to the actual phone. Go to menu, Address book, contact settings, then you can go to 'contact list settings' & then 'contacts location' & set it so handset.
You can also go on 'Move' in the 'contact setting' menu & move all your contacts to your handset.
Hope that helps.

For all gadgetry lovers it's a must, its capabilities are endless. I am still learning just how much it can do after six weeks of playing around with it. Yes it has downfalls, only two themes available on phone although a gossip girl, Man United, & apple iTouch theme can be downloaded. The phone is slightly bulky, not as slim & refined as I would like, the raised lens on the back of the phone is not to neat, Contacts can only be saved to SIM not phone if you wish to edit or assign ringtones, pictures to callers. Stylus is weak but I find I rarely use it, although the handwriting feature for texts is fun. Why on such an advanced phone could they not think to add slide in storage for the stylus like on the less advanced LG cookie. A transparent cover is a must for those who hate smudges on phones. I am having big problems trying to get Google talk on phone yet phone is Google based, apparently it's not compatible for Gtalk. Camera features are excellent has many settings & fun features, beauty feature (hides pimples etc), smile recognition, fast & slow video recording. Browsing the Internet is made easy. The only thing I have had problem with is the picture on video calling is dark & I cannot find how to resolve this, so people cannot see me although I could see them fine. Any help with this would be appreciated. I have tried changing video calling settings to no avail.
All in all its not the iPhone but it's as near as its going to get, I got & I am happy.

I don't know about you guys, but my LG Renoir is really getting on my nerves.
At first I thought this was the perfect mobile phone for me, until the day it started to mess up. For an unknown reason the speakers on the phone just stop working or struggling to work. I have problems hearing people speak, yet they can hear me! I went back to Phones 4 you for an exchange in hope that this problem would not occur again. Well guess what? Yeah it started messing up again. I was on the verge of throwing the phone off the wall, but yet I didn't. So I am deciding to take the phone back to exchange for another LG Renoir or completely change to another brand make of mobile.
But on the bright side, this mobile phone has great potential, camera is wicked, touch screen interface is excellent, speakers are genuinely loud (when they work).
If you suffer the same problem with the LG Renoir, please let me know so I know I am not the only one with a faulty messed up LG Renoir.

All good but KC910 has VERY LOW ringtone volume. I have tried with many ringtones & my last solution was, Edit a very noisy ringtone with audio edit program & give plus 10 or plus 15db up. With audio filter cut all low frequencies with audio filter give plus 20% medium frequencies (maybe more).
The final result is that, I now lose 2 out of 10 incoming calls. Before it was 5 out of 10! I was wondering if I had to go to the doctor to see my ears.

Well I never! How amazing is this phone? VERY!
I have had it for a few months & it's amazing. There are so many great features & the camera is immense, there is also loads of things you can do with the camera, like the slow & fast motion recoding. That's really fun to use.
With all these features & an amazing camera I would have thought the phone would be a lot bigger than it is, it is really thin & small compared to the Samsung & Sony Ericsson 8MP camera phones.
This phone has it all, it's easy to use. The touch screen is great, even though it's more of a press screen (but the advantage of that is you are less likely to click the wrong thing).
Overall it's a great phone. I recommend this to EVERYONE!

Yes, Yes, Yes this is the BEST phone on the market, the best touch screen by far.
I have owed this phone for 2 months now & have carried out heaps of research before buying, this site & others. I did not want to end up with a problematic phone for 18 months so doing my research has paid off. It's the best phone I have ever used & all my family & friends love it.
I would tell all to go & get it, & my final advice would be too read about these phones before you buy.

I have had this phone for just over a month, it is faultless on all accounts. Yes sometimes there is a slight delay to inputs, but if you have used a PC you should be used to this on occasions. You can download free games & apps at mobile 9 for this phone.
Overall this is in my opinion one of the best phones available.

Had the Renoir about a week, love the phone but I am really struggling to sync music to the phone. The only way I have found to get the music on is to use it like a memory stick, but you lose all the features that the phones supposed to have, has anyone else having this problem?

Not so good on these counts.
- Ring tones, far too soft, & you are going to miss many important calls. It need not be screaming loud, but loud enough loudness MUST be a pre requisite for any PHONE isn't it!
- Unable to read & view many of my.jpg files (no problem on my other phones, like Nokia N95, Sony Ericsson models). For your information, files are about 2MB (some can be viewed but not all with error message like Sorry the file is invalid or corrupt?)
- It should NOT be called a 'touch'-screen as it lacks the sensitivity & more like a PRESS screen.
- My phone software upgraded twice by the LG Service centre for V10f (version dated 18.12.08 & two days ago the 25.12.08 version), unfortunately for a solution.

Hello, I just got the Renoir a week ago. Great phone, easy to use & got all the gadgets one needs & more.
One question, moving between features on screen seems a little slow, is there any firmware updates available or anyway to cure this slight issue.

Just a quick question, I currently have the LG Viewty & love love love it! I am looking to upgrade to this in the next 3 weeks can you just tell me though what the time limit is like for being able to send videos as the Viewty is like 5 seconds which isn't really that good.
Please can somebody help me out on this? Many thanks :).

I have had this phone a day & I love it. It puts the iPhone to shame for the price, really it does. I didn't know what phone to get for a while but I am relieved I have definitely made the correct decision. Camera is amazing & the sound quality is loud & clear. I only wish there was a little place to keep the stylus.

This is follow up of original review.
Had the phone a while now still love it, can't stop playing with it, Have bought the LG docking station for it, connections for USB & charger, audio outlet sounds brilliant connected to hi fi with Dolby on, can also connect to TV from dock, Also has connection for tripod on underside, has made this phone even more versatile, Great pictures, I might stop playing with it & make a phone call one day, Also works with 16GB memory card, only gripe I have is the stylus is a bit naff & cheap, Have purchased LG Viewty stylus, & come on LG lets have some more Themes for it, Now selling my iPod & camera, now redundant.

I LOVE THIS PHONE.
It has so many features, which are all great. I am glad LG have teamed up Dolby mobile, the sound is amazing. Even at full volume.
The touch screen is great too & the camera :O well I never!. That's all I have to say!
The phone is so small & light, compared to the Sony Ericsson C905, the Samsung Innov.
If you are looking for a new phone. This is the one. AMAZING!

Hello everyone, I have owned the Renior for over two weeks now, it is a wicked phone, but small BUT, I have been having problems connecting to my laptop, this is hardly the phones fault, it is my lack of knowledge in this department, I had to call my techie mate over & he helped me straight away, he did say it could be made more user friendly but I am up & away with it now.
Love the screen such a great benefit to have such a wicked screen. Good camera, love the sound & yes it gets loads of attention, for all us phone snobs it is the perfect choice. I won't be parting with this for ages. Bye love Christie x.

To those of you who already have the Renoir, can you tell me if you can assign an MP3 to a contact so they can have their own personal ringtone, I have read that you can assign photo ID to them but can't find out if you can assign an MP3. Thanks for any help given. Wayne.

If you have to make the same decision I had to make, which was this, N96 or C905 or this. That's all I can say, if you want a great phone that won't break down after 1 weeks or less, then there is NO contest between the 3.

Well, I left a review before I purchased expressing my interest so it's only right, I now leave a review having GOT the phone & having played & used it for nearly 3 weeks, I'd say that's enough time for a good testing.
Has it lived up to my expectations? OH YES.
I love this phone! The picture & sound quality are excellent, the design is simple to look at & simple to use & that's what I want, simplicity, usability but PACKED with lots of fun features & technology! I've had no problems yet with this phone (though this is my first touch screen so the scrolling & touch screen is taking some getting used too) but I do genuinely just love playing with it, & am loving the camera & picture features, the picture quality is excellent (did I mention that? ).
I do agree with another user, I want proper animations, not just symbols. Hello 2008 to 2009 not the dark ages LG! Upgrade it please!
Otherwise, I am a happy girly. Though, I do feel this wee phone is being overshadowed by the Sony Ericsson, Samsung & Blackberry & what a sad shame that is, this is truly an excellent phone to have.

Well, I have had this phone a week now & I simply love it! It's pretty basic to look at, but I quite like that. The features though are fantastic! The sound quality is amazing, the best I've had from a phone yet. The picture quality is also amazing. The pictures are so clear & sharp, you wouldn't believe it's a camera phone, plus the camera features are so much fun. There is a lot to learn & play with, it's like gadget heaven!
The only problem I am having is texting (of which I am a big texter) my chubby fingers are finding it difficult to adjust to the screen keypad. I am typing all sorts of words. Could just be me needing to get used to touch screen, & maybe one day I'll ace it but for now. I am struggling with it & I won't even bother with the qwerty keypad! PLUS, I am missing my Sony Ericsson animations in text, why oh why on an 8MP phone, in this day & age am I having to put up with colon & bracket for a smiley face? ! But other than that little grumble. I am loving this phone, & totally recommend it. My favourite phone by far!

I can't wait to get this phone, I first wanted to get either the N96, or the C905 or the Samsung Omnia, but I just saw this phone by accident, & it has blown me away, it has a touch screen, 3.0, 8MP CAMERA! & more, it has everything I want in this great phone, & the design is so sleek, I am going to get this on 3 Network for 27 pound a month, which is very cheap. 3 pound cheaper than N96 & LG Renior beats N96 hands down, I read the reviews on N96, & I admit they weren't great, all the reviews I read for Renior were brilliant, So I am definitely getting this phone. Can't wait for Friday.

I don't like to leave a review about a phone I've not physically tried & tested, but with this phone, I can't resist. All the reviews I have read & the you tube videos I've seen, have made me a very excited & happy little bunny!
I CAN NOT wait for this phone, Omnia who? C905 what? N96? Out of the running now, had fought over which of those 3 phones to get but now, now this phone has blown me away. The simple style & elegance of the look, the gadgets & widgets, the unbelievable camera, flash, lens & features, dolby sound, div x. I WANT it, can't wait to get it, just hope it lives up to my now very high expectations.
