The LG GT500 Puccini is a T Mobile exclusive handset which has been designed by LG complete with a user friendly touch screen. The GT500 Puccini is from a range of high quality LG touch screen phones which include the LG GC900 Viewty 2 Smart & the LG KM900 Arena. Its casing is sleek in style which comes in a black coloured casing complete with a silver effect edging. The overall size & shape of the casing makes this an easy handset to hold in the user's hand which measures 10.7cm tall, 5.5cm wide by 1.2cm deep & its total weigh including the fitted rechargeable battery is 98 grams. The LG GT500 Puccini is a 3G touch screen phone which supports an A class touch user interface. The touch screen measures 3 Inches when measured from corner to corner & supports an automatic rotate screen feature. It displays up to 262 thousand colours with a 240 pixel by 400 pixel screen resolution.

It comes with a memory card slot which allows the user to insert a memory card up to eight gigabytes in size. The LG GT500 Puccini supports a MicroSD™ type memory card. This sleek touch screen phone works on the T Mobile network & covers a GSM quad band network & supports 3G networks HSDPA 1900 & 2100 depending on the users networking needs. The GT500 Puccini supports Wi-Fi® connectivity which means the user can connect their handset to the Internet via a close by hotspot for via a local wireless LAN. Its built in A GPS navigation feature allows its user to gain directions & guidance to places of interest when the user is on their travels. The user can connect their handset to other devices with compatible connectivity options available which include the user's computer, laptop, other mobiles phones etc. The user can use either a USB cabled connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection when connecting to other devices to transfer data. The LG GT500 Puccini supports EDGE technology which provides high speed transfer rates for the user to enjoy when transferring data using the USB or Bluetooth® connection between devices. This is a 3G HSDPA phone which means the user can enjoy high speed connectivity & multitasking features on their handset. A fully charged battery can provide the user with three & a half hours of GSM talk time or up to three hundred & ten hours of battery standby time.

A five megapixel camera feature which supports both still image capture as well as moving video recordings provides the user with a useful & fun feature to enjoy high quality picture & video capturing on the move. The camera has a built LED flash, a zoom function & has an automatic focus feature which will all ensure a perfect image or video is captured when the camera feature is used. This camera feature supports picture geo tagging thanks to the built in A GPS navigation feature which means the user can store where each picture was taken. The user can share their pictures or videos with others via the messaging services, store them on their phones memory or use the pictures as a screensaver or wallpaper on their phone. The LG GT500 Puccini has a second camera lens which can be found at the front of the handset next to the earpiece & this camera lens can be used when the user is taking part in a 3G video call, allowing the user to view their touch screen with their contact on whilst the second front facing camera is capturing the users expressions & surrounding. This phone supports Java™ games which means the user can download & enjoy a lively game or two on their new phone.

The GT500 Puccini comes with a WAP Web browser which the user can access from the main menu allowing the user to surf the Web & enjoy a XHTML & HTML experience. The user can create, send, store & receive emails on their GT500 Puccini & this phone supports a push email service. The user can stay in contacts with others via the SMS text service or by sharing a MMS picture messaging complete with text & sound to further enhance the message. An integrated radio feature allows the user to tune into a radio station & sit back & relax to the latest music, radio commentaries & even hear the news. The LG GT500 Puccini supports Dolby sound which provides a high quality sound experience on this touch screen phone & the user can hear this best when using the built in music player complete with easy to use music features to assist the user when saving transferring & playing their music. The phone supports polyphonic sound ringtones as well as MP3 sound ringtones & the user can add new ringtones to suit their individual style.

I had a choice of upgrade for my mobile & was torn between the Samsung M8800 & the LG. I went to the T mobile retail shop & was able to try the two phones side by side. I was initially a little reticent about LG, not really a great mobile giant like Nokia & Sony Ericsson, however I much preferred the menu & touch screen on the LG to the somewhat kiddified Samsung.

The LG is a great touch screen phone & does what is says on the tin. Even connected to my wireless network at home! The camera is great, only issue is for accessories, not many about I.e. Case but comes with a free screen protector in the box!

All in all, a great little package, thoroughly recommend it!
