The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh suits it name perfectly, as is comes with a fresh & fashionable designed casing. It has a touch screen form & is a pocket friendly shaped handset. The Cookie Fresh is from the highly popular LG Cookie range which includes other handsets such as the LG Cookie KP500 & the LG GS500 Cookie Plus. Its user can enjoy a variety of built in features & technologies on their new handset including a 2 megapixel camera, video recording facility, Internet access & of the course its stylish & fashionable touch screen design.

Appearance & Size
This mobile phone's fashionable appearance is highlighted by the many colours options the user has to choose from when owing the LG GS290 Cookie Fresh. This attractive mobile phone comes in a green, pink, silver, black, red or blue coloured casing which allows the user to express their personality by being as daring as they can be with their colour choice. The front section of the casing is almost filled by the touch screen but provides a black coloured section complete with call keys & a navigation control. On the back of the casing is a neatly positioned camera lens, & this section of the phone provides the coloured section which the user has chosen. Its responsive touch screen displays up to 262,000 colours with a 240 pixel by 400 pixel screen resolution display. The display measures 3.2 inches in size which provides a user friendly size viewing experience as well as input method. The screen supports an automatic rotate accelerometer which allows the user to turn their handset & the screen will respond accordingly to suit the users viewing preference. An integrated camera lens which is located on the back of the casing comes with a 2 megapixel camera lens & supports video recording as well as photo capturing capabilities. The user can access their camera feature & settings from the main menu & enjoy taking photos or recording video clips on the move. The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh comes with an integrated stereo radio feature which allows its user to listen to their favourite FM radio station. This radio supports a RDS feature which means the user can gain text information on their screen whilst listening to their chosen radio station. The Cookie Fresh supports MP3 format ringing tones & the user can hear their favourite tracks when a new call arrives on their handset. The music playing feature supports easy to use controls using the touch screen & the user can download or transfer music onto their mobile phone. The GS290 Cookie Fresh comes with preloaded games & the user can download new games to suit their gaming taste. A built in video player provides video entertainment for the user, as the user can playback their own videos or videos shared by others with ease. The LG GS290 Cookie Fresh supports quad band GSM network coverage which allows the user to use their new mobile phone worldwide, but the network coverage may differ between service providers. When connecting to other compatible devices such as a computer, laptop, other mobile phones or a printer, the user can gain a USB cabled connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection. The Bluetooth® connectivity allows the user to connect to other Bluetooth® compatible devices which are up to ten metres away from the GS290 Cookie Fresh, therefore the user can transfer files without the use of wires or cables. This handset comes with a memory card slot allowing the user to insert a memory card to suit their storage needs. The Cookie Fresh can hold up to eight gigabytes of external memory providing its user with much storage if required. Maybe I am just unlucky, but I am having software issues after only 3 months of purchasing it.

Otherwise general minor flaws, which is probably me being picky:

Touch pad doesn't come with a pen, yet only responds to a relatively hard touch. So grow your nails long, else struggle to press the buttons.

Back of phone case comes off too easily, making it seem a bit flimsy.

Advantages:

- Camera isn't terrible, photos don't tend to be too blurred.

- Charger also houses cable to wire up to computer, which is pretty economical thinking if you ask me.

I recently got the cookie fresh when my previous phone which was a Sony Ericsson Zylo, started to pack in. I was looking for a button phone but a bit more than a basic call & text phone i.e. Bluetooth, MP3 player, downloadable games & expandable memory. I couldn't see any button phones in shop that weren't basic & all they had to choose from were either touch screen phones or sliders that weren't basic. I didn't want another slider as I was put off after my Zylo gave up & I was reluctant to try another touch screen but, as I wanted certain features & all that was available that wasn't basic or a slider, I chose the cookie fresh. I am very surprised how easy it is to get on with since me & touch screens don't normally get on. It's quite a good phone. Has plenty to keep one entertained though it's not the best phone imho as I prefer button in between phones i.e. a bit more than basic. Love the drawing feature on this phone though there are limited colours to choose from.

I got this phone a few days ago & I am really impressed by it. It was really easy to learn how to use & is so funky & fresh to look at, it's a delight to own it.

Sometimes though I wish it had a stylus for some things.

I got this phone from phones u 4, it's a great phone & most of the features are great too. To use & I love the livesquare it's very easy & because it very fun to use. I would recommend this phone to people as it has great features & I don't have anything bad to say about it, the phones offers even use & the phone comes with a 3.5 mm jack so you can put in your own headphones if you please. The quality if music is very good, & you can get this phone in black or white & pink, the thing I love about this phone is that you can change the things on it to suit your own style & personality which is really worth buying for 50 pounds! :) =).

I got this phone 2 days ago for my birthday (: overall I am really impressed by it, considering I only got it for £50 from phones4u!

- I love the design of it, very funky & cool!
- The features are good & I love how you can personalise the phone to suit you.
- The MP3 is good & the FM radio does not need headphones which is very useful!
- The 2MP camera is OK, not the best but on the worst, but I don't mind as I use my actual camera more (:
- All the features are easy to use, the phone is a lot more responsive touch wise then I imagined it would be, & it's quite easy to learn how to type using the touch screen, you can change the settings for typing a text to suit you.
- You can also fit iPod headphones in it instead of the headphones which come with the phone :D.

The only thing which I find a tad annoying is when you put in a memory card, I say this because whenever I take a picture or download a picture or song, it goes straight to my phone memory instead of memory card, I have changed the settings to go straight to my memory card but it doesn't seem to be working: ( & if you try to delete things off your phone memory, it wipes it off your memory card too.

But oh well, that's a minor blip for a really great phone (:

I'd definitely recommend it :D.
