Do you think this phone is suitable for a teenager? Can you get it on Pay As You Go, Vodafone? & how much is it?
Thank you everyone for the reviews :).

It's a pretty rubbish phone & I wouldn't bestow it upon my worst enemy.

No doubt that the phone is great, but you cannot wonder if you got any smart phone you would think the same.
I got the phone because of 'memory map'. Only on windows phone it links straight away with the GPS & turns my phone into a GPS on proper maps. It works so well there is no need for a normal GPS system.
The phone has few apps, so you can't have a light sabre. But it has the good ones.
My main gripe is that it needs turning off & on about twice a week to fix some basic errors. The main one is that the mic sometimes doesn't work & you can't tell when this will happen, 'Hello, Hello, HELLO! ' moments that are really annoying. Also similar is the 3G link to the web. Sometimes it just doesn't work until I recycle the phone.

I have had this phone for just over 1 week. It is a very detailed phone, running Windows Mobile v6.5. In all honesty, I have found it a little cumbersome to use (connecting to my car Bluetooth kit takes far too many button presses, I don't have Bluetooth active normally to save the battery, so have to activate it, then pair it). However, there is something about the phone that makes me want to stick with it, I can't help but think that the best is still to come with it. The touch screen is sharp, responsive & intuitive. There is an option to switch from the LG menu system to the Windows Mobile screen, & the options for customisation are extensive. Everything feels just right.
Minor gripes, the GPS does not work yet. I get directed to a Vodafone WAP page that asks me to register my details, but then does not work. The screen lock is activated by clicking the power button at the top of the unit, this makes it a little too easy for you to unlock it when moving with the phone in a pocket (there is an option to use a software lock by clicking the Start button, then press lock which is more effective). Hopefully as more apps are released for the Windows Mobile platform, this will improve the usability & friendliness of the phone.
The major issue I have with this phone is the battery life. I am by no means a heavy user (about 20 minutes call time, plus 10 texts & 10 minutes WAP use per day). With this phone, I have to charge the battery every day without fail with Bluetooth switched off, & wireless networking switched off. In use, I find the phone heats up considerably during the day (about the heat of a laptop battery when charging). This is normally during or shortly after a call or WAP use.
Additionally, the battery life is inconsistent, some days, it will last 18 hours with moderate use, & others where it shuts down after 7 hours of no use. Handily, the mini USB port is very common, so the phone can be easily charged without buying extra equipment.
Overall, it has the potential to be a great Smartphone but needs to have the battery issues & a few minor gripes rectified before taking the title.
