Our LG GD350 Review

Overview
This stylish flip opening mobile phone comes with a neatly designed casing & has a selection of fun & useful built in features. The LG GD350 has a dual screen design allowing its user to view information when the handset is either closed or opened. Its main features include a two megapixel camera with video recording in CIF format, a Web browser, expandable memory card slot, Bluetooth® wireless connectivity, multimedia messaging & email. The GD350 is from the same LG range as the LG GD580 Lollipop which is another mobile handset with a user friendly flip open designed casing & assortment of features to assist the user's communication requirements.

Appearance & Size
The GD350 has a striking black colour casing complete with extravagant gold or silver detailed edging, which is very pleasing on the eye. This luxuriously designed casing makes the LG GD350 stand out in the crowd, plus the user can enjoy its external screen for easy usability. Its external screen is small & discrete which provides a monochrome display with a screen resolution of 5 pixels by 35 pixels. The user can view incoming call & message information on this external screen when the handset is in its flip closed position. Its modern design casing is compact which measures only 9.55cm tall by 4.8cm wide by 1.59cm in depth when in its flips closed position. It weighs ninety four grams with its fitted battery which is an ideal weight for carrying as it provides the user with a solid handset without weighing the user down. The internal screen is 2 inches in size & it displays a colourful & bright viewing experience for the user to enjoy when opening their GD350. This internal screen has a screen resolution of 176 pixels by 220 pixels. When the handset is open the user can view the internal screen on the flip opened section of the casing whilst using the keypad & navigation controls on the lower section of the casing, which is ideal for single hand use. Its keypad has well spaced out individual keys & the call keys are easily identifiable with simple & clear labelled icons.


Imaging, Media & Entertainment
There is an integrated two megapixel camera feature which allows the user of the LG GD350 to capture still pictures as well as record video footage in CIF mode at up to twenty five frames per second. This camera has a lens situated on the back of the casing & it comes with easy to use imaging features & storage. As well as capturing moving video footage the user can enjoy video playback on their mobile phone which can be viewed in many video formats including MPEG4, H264 & H263 formats. The user can enjoy the preloaded games on their phone or download new games if required. The LG GD350 supports Java™ style games & provides the user with easy to access controls & a colourful gaming viewing experience. There is an integrated radio feature which supports FM radio recording as well as FM tuning & a radio data system, for onscreen text information to be enjoyed by the user whilst listening to their preferred radio station. The user can playback their favourite tracks using the built in music player which supports music playback in MP3 & eAAC+ formats. This varied selection of entertainment features provides the user with imaging, gaming & music all in this compact flip design mobile phone.

Communication & Messaging
The LG GD350 comes with a range of communication feature which allows the user to stay in touch with friends & family using the best possible communication method to suit their needs. The user can create a call quickly & easy, simple by flip opening their handset & dialling their contacts number or by accessing the easy to manage phone book when making a call. The built in phone book can store up to one thousand contacts & the user can enjoy a photo caller identification feature on their phone. There is a call log which stores a list of calls made, received & missed on the GD350, plus the user can make calls directly from this list which is perfect when the user needs to return a call after missing it on the handset. The user can use the messaging services to communicate with others which include a multimedia service, text service & an email service. The user simply selects the best method of communication to suit the messaging needs. A multimedia message allows the user to share pictures & video clips with sound & text, whereas a text message can contain text complete with punctuation style symbols, plus the user can enjoy predictive text input if desired.

Technology & Internet
A Web browser allows the user to gain access to the Web to find out information as well as to access online store & more entertainment. The Web browsers provides a XHTML & HTML browsing experience & the user can access the browser from the phones main menu. The LG GD350 has five hundred & twelve megabytes of internal memory & there is an expandable memory card slot which can hold up to two gigabytes of MicroSD™ format memory. The user can connect their mobile phone to others when transferring data, & depending on the other device's compatibly the user can use either a Bluetooth® wireless connection or a USB cabled connection. The GD350 supports EDGE technology & GPRS therefore high speed transfer rates can be enjoyed on this mobile phone when the user is transferring data. It works over quad band GSM networks & will automatically switch between network bands allowing the user to enjoy worldwide network coverage on their handset, although the network coverage may vary depending on the user network service provider.
