Our LG Chocolate BL20 Review

This sleek & stunning handset which is known as the LG Chocolate BL20 comes with fabulous looks & is packed full of fun communication features. The Chocolate BL20 pays resemblance to the original LG Chocolate phone which was known as the LG KG800 Chocolate, as these handsets have the same design form & user friendly designed casing. The Chocolate BL20 is from the same LG range as the LG Chocolate BL40 which is part of the new range of phones in the popular Black Series range by LG. The BL20 has a slide opening casing complete with a crystal clear screen, touch sensitive touch pad & the slide section reveals a well spaced out keypad. When the handset is in its slide closed position the user can access the touch sensitive touch pad which lights up when in use & the screen sits neatly above this pad. Its screen has a screen resolution of 240 pixels by 320 pixels & the user can enjoy a high colour display of up to 262 thousand colours. This stunning screen measures 2.4 Inches which is a good size for viewing purposes, & the overall size of the casing is 10.69cm tall by 5.08cm wide by 1.23cm deep which provides a slim & compact slider phone. The LG Chocolate BL20 supports two hundred & fifty six megabytes of internal memory & an expandable memory card slot allows the user to insert a memory card which is up to sixteen gigabytes in size.

The user will find a useful widget key which provides instant access to a selection of popular & most frequently used features which may include the alarm feature, memo feature, calendar & so on. This widget key can be located on the front of the handset on towards the bottom of the touch sensitive touch pad. A built in clock feature can be set & changed as required by the user & an alarm clock feature can be set to wake the user up each day or just set as a reminder for the user. The LG Chocolate BL20 supports a text scan feature which allows the user to scan text onto their phone & the user can also take a photo of handwriting or text which can then be stored on the phone if desired. This 3G phone comes with a speaker phone feature allowing its user to have a hands free call as the users caller can be heard out loud over the phones speakers. A vibration alert mode allows the user to set a gentle vibration mode when a call comes in or a new message is delivered into the inbox, this feature can be set to on or off mode depending on the user's needs.


This handset works over a GSM tri band network which will automatically switch between GSM networks & the user can enjoy a HSDPA 900 & HSDPA 2100 network connectivity on their 3G phone. The user can connect their phone to other devices using a USB connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection depending on what connectivity is available on the other devices the user is connecting to at the time. When the user wishes to connect to another USB compatible device a USB cabled can be connected to each device allowing the user to gain a cabled connection ready to transfer data. A Bluetooth® wireless connection can be enjoyed when the two connecting devices both support Bluetooth® technology & the two devices are up to ten metres apart when the user wishes to connect & transfer data. The Chocolate BL20 supports EDGE & GPRS technology which means the user can enjoy high speed data transfer rates when the user is sharing data between devices. This phone is a 3G HSDPA capable handset which allows the user to enjoy high speed connectivity to the Internet on the BL20.

The user can connect to the Internet & enjoy a fun surfing experience using the WAP browser which is easily located via the main menu. The user can enjoy a HTML & XHTML Web experience on the Chocolate BL20. The user may wishes to communicate without making a call so therefore the user can create & share information with others via their phones messaging service. An instant messaging service allows the user to share text & symbols with other compatible users in an online conversation with others whom are currently online. The LG Chocolate BL20 supports an email service allowing the user to create, send & receive emails on their phone. There is also a text message service, enhanced service & a multimedia picture messaging service available allowing the user to share text only, text with icons or even text with pictures or video clips. There is a messaging service to meet the user's needs, whatever the user wishes to share with others.

There is a built in radio feature which allows the user to tune into their favourite FM radio station to catch up with the latest music, news & much more. If the user likes music on the move then the built in music player can turn the LG Chocolate BL20 into a portable MP3 player complete with easy music storage. The user can add new music onto their phone by downloading new tracks from popular music websites or transferring music from other devices using the connectivity options available. This phone has well position volume keys allowing the user to control their sound in an instant. An integrated camera feature provides the user with an easy to use photo capturing & video recording feature all rolled into one. This 5 megapixel digital camera comes with a variety of photo capturing & video recording setting which allow the user to enhance the way their photos are captured or their videos are recorded. The camera has an automatic focus feature which allows the user to gain a clear & well focus photo. The LG Chocolate BL20 has an integrated video playing feature which supports easy to control video playback in MPEG4, WMV & H264 formats. The LG Chocolate BL20 is a beautiful handset which echoes what users liked so much in the original LG Chocolate phone but the BL20 comes with a higher specification of built in features to suit today's mobile phone users.
