HTC Touch 3G Review

The HTC Touch 3G is a stylish addition to the HTC Touch range & comes with many high quality Smartphone features. This 3G Smartphone comes in four eye catching & rather fashionable coloured casings which include a black, gold, blue & a brown coloured casing. The user can chose the coloured casing to suit their taste which gives this Smartphone a fun & fashionable look as well as having hidden Smartphone technologies & built in features. The HTC Touch 3G is a from the same HTC family as the HTC Touch Diamond & the HTC Touch HD. The handsets casing is curved in design which feels good to hold in a single hand & it measures 14.5mm deep, 53.6mm wide & 102mm tall. The Touch 3G has a large QVGA LCD touch screen which almost fills the front view of this versatile Smartphone. Its screen is 2.8 Inches in size when measured diagonally & provides a high resolution display. The touch screen supports a TouchFLO™ on screen control feature which allows the user to glide through their Smartphone features with ease. The touch 3G works on a Qualcomm® processor & comes with a Windows Mobile operating system. This 3G Smartphone comes complete with two hundred & fifty six megabytes of ROM memory & one hundred & ninety two megabytes of RAM built in memory. The user can add a MicroSD™ type memory card into the memory card slot provided to extend the handsets memory capabilities further to suit their memory requirements.

This attractive looking 3G Smartphone comes with a built in GPS navigation feature which supports an AGPS function. The HTC Touch 3G supports a HTC weather application & the user can access the Internet at broadband speeds via the built in HTML browser. The user can enjoy a full screen Internet viewing experience on the large touch screen & enjoy smoothly navigating their way to their favourite Internet websites including popular sites such as You Tube™. A built in email services allows the user to send & receive emails directly to their HTC touch 3G & the handset will inform the user of any new emails as they are delivered. The Smartphone supports SMS text messaging, instant messaging & multimedia picture message which gives the user a wide selection of messaging services when wishing to communicate with others. The built in messaging services allow the user to communicate with other compatible messaging contacts by using either text input, symbols or pictures to create the perfect message for the user's needs & the user can communicate without making a single call. The user can view their contacts with a picture display which allows the user to enjoy viewing a picture of their contact in their phone book feature which is located in a file appropriately named people.

The HTC Touch 3G is a quad band network handset with covers four GSM networks including GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900 as well as covering a HSDPA 2100 network. The user can enjoy up to 6.6 hours of GSM talk time from a fully charged battery or approximately 365 hours GSM standby battery time. This battery time may vary dependant on the Smartphone's features being used. This handset is a 3G technology Smartphone which allows the user to enjoy the high speed Internet connectivity which 3G technology provides. The 3G capabilities also allow the user to enjoy 3G video calling on their handset as well as multitasking skills such as the user taking a call whilst browsing the Internet. The built in Wi-Fi® technology allows the user to connect to the Internet when the user is out & about via a nearby hotspot connection or the user can simply connect to the Internet via a local wireless LAN. The user can connect their handset to other devices to transfer files & data between the two compatible devices. The user can use a mini USB cabled connection or a Bluetooth® wireless connection when connecting their handset to compatible devices. The HTC Touch 3G comes with many technologies which provides the user with the freedom to use their Smartphone in the best way to suit their needs.

The Touch 3G comes with some entertaining, fun & useful built in features which include a camera feature, music player & built in microphone. The main camera is a 3.2 megapixel digital camera which has the lens located on the back of the handset. The main camera comes with user friendly imaging features & has a fixed focus which allows the user to capture the perfect shot. The user can store their pictures in the picture album or share their pictures with others. The HTC Touch 3G comes with a second camera which has a discrete lens located on the front of the handset & this camera can be used when the user is using the 3G video calling feature & enjoying a face to face call experience with other 3G video calling compatible contacts. The main 3.2 megapixel camera supports video recording capabilities which allow the user to enjoy capturing moving action as well as still pictures. The touch 3G comes with a video album which allows the user to store their treasured recording which can be viewed when the user desires. A built in microphone allows the user to record voice & sound on their Smartphone. The handset comes with a built in music player & a speaker which allows the user to enjoy sound with them wherever they go. The music player supports many music playing formats & the user can enjoy their favourite songs on this stylish 3G Smartphone. The HTC Touch 3G supports MIDI or polyphonic ringing tones & the user can change their ringing tone to suit their style.

I wish I could put zero stars, this phone is not good. There is not one good thing to say about it apart from the fact that I look forward to the day my contract ends & I can dump this awful phone into the darkest deepest lake where it belongs.

Please please if anyone is considering getting this then don't, it has almost seen the hard side of numerous concrete floors & brick walls on many occasions.

It doesn't deserve the time spent for me going through all the pros & cons because there are no pros what so ever. IT IS ALL JUST BAD, AVOID!

Two plastic cups tied together with string would be better than this.

Superb phone.

Probably the easiest touch screen phone I have ever used. Lots of features, super fast Internet access. If I never had another phone again, I would not be disappointed.

FOR the SHORT TIME I HAD THIS PHONE BEFORE UP GRADING TO ITS BIG BROTHER the HD I FELT IT WAS A GREAT PHONE. The FEATHURES IT HAS ARE SIMILAR TO the ORIGINAL TOUCH BUT the 3G ALLOWS YOU TO ACCESS MORE THINGS. MOREOVER IT HAS AN UPGRADED TOUCHFLOW SYSTEM & BETTER QUALITY FEATURES. Unfortunately the 3G settings hampers the battery life and the phone depends too much on Windows to carry it forward. OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GOOD PHONE BUT NOT GREAT.
