Sometimes it freezes & I have to do soft reset & as this is my first phone so I can't expect iPhone 4 or htc hd2 or desire etc from my parents. Overall. There are some problems with the phone. But then I learned to compromise as it is my first phone. I guess my 2nd phone will be the iPhone or htc evo 4g or any other which has all features.

Firstly, this is the worst phone I have ever had, personally I think my Nan's phone is better, & it is an original Nokia, which is still black & white. The main reason for this is that it is completely unreliable, as it freezes regularly, & occasionally pixelates.

If you are looking to get this phone, do not buy it, it is a waste of money. I have only had mine for just over 6 months & it is so bad, it seems like I have had it for at least 10 years.

I always look after my phones, & yet this still seems like I don't. So I plead to you DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

P.S. I have not used one single swear word in this, which makes this an understatement, this is how bad this phone is.

- Battery runs out too quickly.
- Apps are useless.

Now doesn't work because it doesn't charge. Good job that the deal I got was so cheap that it pays to buy a new phone. Dreadful phone & I will go back to Nokia or Samsung.

OK, firstly you'll see I've rated the phone very poorly on its design & usability, however I'll try to explain this properly.

For me the design of the phone ties in with the usability, not how it looks.

I received this phone as our company wanted to integrate Outlook emails, contacts & Business Contact Manager. We are out on the road most of the time, so having a full database of clients & the ability to respond quickly to emails is key to our business.

Unfortunately, the HTC Touch 2 doesn't execute this well at all.

As a mobile device, it's very poor. Its menus & screens can be navigated when you are sat still as you have to use the stylus to use the (very finicky) screen that's just too small. Try to use it in the car & it's just dangerous. I have voice control Bluetooth built into the car & have a cradle, but still this is no good, trying to get to contacts is impossible without the use of the screen & the stylus! I have the ability to store numbers into the car's Bluetooth, however I have to manually enter these verbally - trying to enter 1, 500 odd would take months.

Trying to use it as a passenger in a car is just as bad as our wonderful bumpy pot-holed roads means you just hit random stuff on the screen whilst trying to do anything!

Downloading emails is a chore as this takes ages (down to network?) however if you cancel downloading, the email disappears from the phone completely, this was rather worrying at first until I booted up my laptop & the email did come into my inbox.

Web browsing is difficult as the screen is too small to be useful.

The physical buttons are poorly designed too, as they light up independently to the screen, & don't light up when the phone's ringing, infuriating at night in the car.

Carrying on with the design of the buttons, they are far too easily pushed. I keep mine in my jacket pocket & can't recall the amount of times I've moved whilst sat in a meeting & it's switched itself on & started beeping away with missed calls & messages. Highly embarrassing pulling the battery out in front of clients.

The signal is pretty poor in comparison to other phones I've used.

Making a call is a long, drawn out process of screen presses & menu navigation.

The best thing about it are the games, bubble breaker & solitaire, however this is not a good reason to buy such a device.

In summary, I think it's trying to be PC, however failing miserably as it's far too small to be used as such, it's incredibly difficult to use as a phone, it's dangerous to use in the car.

The HTC Touch 2 is a device which unless you are sat at a desk is pretty useless. Oh, & while you're at your desk, you've no doubt got a real PC, a landline & fast Internet access, so why would you use your mobile (& I mean any mobile)?

There's probably a lot more, but after 4 months of trying, I have unlocked an old Sony Ericsson K850 & have put the HTC back in its box. The K850 doesn't have email access, but still syncs with my contacts & multiple Outlook diaries (the HTC doesn't) & most importantly is easy to use as a phone.

Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

A good effort but with a person coming from an iPhone, it has a long way to go. Internet browsing is a nightmare, & downloading emails is slow, with not much control on how many emails you can download.

The touch screen is too small to be used with fingers, & stylus has to be used.
Screen resolution is good compared to previous HTCs but is nothing as good as the iPhone.

Had an iPhone for 2 years, not a scratch. Have HTC for 2 months, screen is full of scratches.

Good phone some great features hard to add what you want to it e.g. downloads not many & they have to be in a certain format to work. Can't have your own home screen the way you want it does not give you option to customize it. The ring tone is too low can't change it, when it's in your pocket etc can never hear it ringing.
