I agree with Sarah, this phone locks up & freezes on me all the time. I reluctantly bought this as my first touch screen phone, I hate it. The keyboard is too small to text & unresponsive & as previously mentioned it locks up all the time, just unlocking the phone from sleep mode can take up to 3 minutes for it to actually do it, & then it locks again. I have had to turn it off & on many times to try to re-boot it.

I have just endured 8 months of moaning from hubby about his htc with calls cutting out for no reason. His work have had it replaced twice & the same fault. They have now decide to replace all the htc handsets in the company (a global corporation) as the withdrawing email said 'they are not fit for purpose'. I had to rate usability at 5% but would have rated it lower. Cutting out every 2 minutes on a call to the wife is frustrating, on a call to a customer about to spend 1.5 million. Is 0% usability if the phone isn't working unfortunately that option isn't given.

What a wonderful piece of work this handset is to experience.

As a designer, having used many mobile handsets over the past 10 or so years I have to say HTC are really under rated as a brand. Even to the point of (dare I say) maybe overtaking the iphone in the next couple of years.

The HD mini is a pure joy to use. The interface is fantastically user friendly & logically layed out. The camera while not being perfect really impressed & the audio quality is crystal clear.

The cherry on the cake is the touch screen which is so responsive & allows dual touch, pinch zoom among other features which really opens up the usability in applications which are not in short supply.

I had previously ordered the Sony E. Vivaz which turned out to be a nightmare in every sense but I am so relieved to have found a quality phone before the trial time ran out.

If you're thinking of getting a smart phone but want something neat & compact (still with a good size screen) then this is the phone for you. It does eveything you can ask for.
Hats off to HTC.

Great little phone.

This phone just works without any problems. No freezing, calls are clear, sharp & no dropouts. All of the apps I have picked up from Windows Marketplace work great as do many others from free & paid windows mobile sites.

The phone is so light & slim that you often forget that it is in your pocket. Despite this it is no slouch. It is quick & responsive, easy to navigate, contacts are quick to find, texting is a doddle, especially with the larger keyboard if you turn the phone on its side.

The music player is poor so just download iMulator from the Internet, it is free & a great media player.

The GPS is excellent & integrates well with Google Maps which is already on the phone as well as with CoPilot satnav software.

It uses a standard 3.5mm headphone jack & the sound quality is top notch with good headphones & the bundled audio booster app gives excellent tonal control.

Power & data are connected with a micro USB cable which is no problem & syncs well with Outlook on the PC.

A great feature is the inbuilt Wi-Fi router option which connects a wireless laptop through the phone via the 3G network in a flash, no difficult setup & no dropouts. This is great if you are on the road with your laptop & need to do a bit of full screen work or send longer emails etc.

Built in apps for YouTube, Facebook & Twitter are great also.

All in all a brilliant phone which does all you need in a tiny but very usable package. Battery life is OK too, a good 6 hours on constant usage or once you get used to it & use it less, 2 to 3 days. Stable too, the only Smartphone I have had which doesn't freeze or dropout. HTC have cracked it with their Windows phones.

Freezes up all the time. Texting is slow. Calls cut out. Apps don't work & don't download. Music player could be better laid out & designed. & accessing contacts could be made easier.

However, email is good as is the browsing. & its size is good as it fits nicely into your palm.
