I've had my BB pearl for nearly 6 months. It is a great phone when it works. However it freezes every few days & consequently I have to do a soft reboot almost every day. When I can afford to, I will change to a better more reliable model. My local T Mobile shop (where I purchased it from) only advise me to reboot it, but it is becoming more & more frustrating. It's a great shame as otherwise the phone is perfect.

I got this phone a couple of months ago practically new for less than £60 from a certain auction site & I have to say I absolutely love it. The colour is great & it's small & compact. At first it was a bit hard to use but after a day I was totally used to it. The only problems I had were that it has frozen a couple of times & the zoom on the camera stopped working, but I sorted it out by taking the battery out & then putting it back in.

All in all I think it's a great phone & I would definitely recommend it.

I've had this phone for about 4 months now, I read the reviews before I bought it & still decided to get it even though most of them said it was unreliable etc. I have to honestly say it's one of the best phones I've ever had. It's easy to use, you only need to show the icons you want on your menu, so if you don't want use half of the features, you can hide them, to clean up your menu & make it less confusing & having windows live messenger & Facebook already preloaded is great.

Nothing has gone wrong with the handset so far, it hasn't crashed, the ball hasn't stopped working it hasn't been sending random messages like some of the other reviews have said, maybe I've just been lucky or maybe Blackberry have made some changes but either way I love this phone, & when I am fed up of it I will definitely get another Blackberry.

All in all a fab phone!

Great phone great price. Does everything I need & more. Love the BB T mobile phone link on PAYG with free unlimited Internet & email when you top up just once.

Me & my girlfriend both got one. It means I don't have to talk to her all the time but can simply send a free instant message & keep her sweet.

I think we should start off a worldwide revolution & get everyone on a BB so we can all talk for free!

(P.S Someone told me Barack Obama has got one of these. Imagine finding out his PIN & talking to him? LOL. & Alan Sugar! You're fired Ha ha!).

I loved this phone first off. Once you get used to the keyboard it's fab. I couldn't fault it! Then things started to go wrong. Very similar to other peoples problems. Ball stopped working, speaker went, & then kept deleting emails & texts when they were opened. The phone was only 5 months old. Sent a new handset. 4 months on, it started sending reply's to emails & texts, randomly through the night it sent 35 messages to Asda's! Sent it off again. New handset returned. 1 day later it did it again! Sending random messages, ball not working etc. I have asked for different handset to see if it's any better.

The reason I chose blackberry is because the iPhone had too many problems. Blackberry sort these problems out. I love the phone when it's working. But I wouldn't recommend it now. It's not realiable enough. Especially for business users!

I have this phone in pink. A great little phone so useful then all of a sudden, no warning it has switched off & will not charge back up. I have removed the battery & left it overnight & reconnected it & nothing. My daughter also had the same phone & it did the same thing. It seems this little phone only has a working life of approximately 10 to 11 months & then it dies. RIP.

The BlackBerry Pearl is a amazing handset, just as brilliant as having your laptop with you. The handset has many applications to suit each user, messenger, facebook, etc At first you will not know how to work many of the features on the handset, but after two days I picked it up & learned everything I needed know & was on the go. Its stylish & lightweight, the roller ball in the middle is awesome & many of my friends are amazed by it. I hate having the predictive text on so to turn it off you should have a key with the blackberry logo on it aka blackberry key its knowing as, go into text icon on your menu & click your blackberry key then create new SMS on your message area & press the blackberry key & there should be a option called enable multi tap. select it. There you go all done, you can type really fast with the blackberry keyboard. But this is a downfall the roller ball on my handset has stopped selecting items & when you press it in too much loads of z's or x's come on the screen then it totally freezes & goes off for ages, then comes back on for a while! & other flaws are when the handset freezes the keys totally go & not one will let you go on anything or turn the handset off at all, so you have to take the battery out & this dose a software reset. Instead of using the roller ball for use of selecting items you can use the enter key but it gets annoying & your hand everyone once in a while goes & presses in the roller ball grrr its getting repaired now so let's hope I get the same handset do you think it can be repaired? Or will I get a new handset? another note buy a memory card when getting a BlackBerry pearl they haven't got great memory if you want to store music & applications etc & buy a cover they scratch so easily I have had mine 2 months & the battery door has scratched so yeah.

Overall a brilliant handset which will get you addicted by the first touch, but could be better if the faults could be sorted & the roller ball could be fixed to stop loads of dirt affecting it! I would advise you to get it these problems might not happen to you, but happens to some people which have the phone & there available on pay as you go for £150 with £0 pounds top required so you can now enjoy a great phone which price isn't over the odds.

I have used this phone now for about 2 months. It took a bit of getting used to but now I couldn't use a normal phone. It has a few quirks but one problem people seem to have is turning off predictive text. To do this when you are for example in the text mode, or adding a calendar option etc, press the BlackBerry button to the left of the wheel & scroll down & press multi tap. If you want to switch back to predictive follow same procedure are select sure type. I don't think that changing it in one application changes multi tap & sure type in all applications. You will probably have to do it for each. Hope that helps.

This is a neat little device, just like having all your gadgets in one place. I had the Sony Ericsson K800i which served me well. Upgraded for the heck of it.

I liked being able to plug in my K800i into PC & being able to organise & amend contacts on screen & synching with phone using myphone explorer. I have not found out how to do this yet with me Blackberry! If you know, let me know. On transferring my SIM contacts they are now displayed last name then first name with the loss of other details related to that contact I.e. Email, post address etc. Bit stressed out with it. In the address book options I have chosen the name display to be first then last but no change.

I don't think the internal speaker quality on the handset is great, better sound from K800i when making calls. Miss the bulky feel of the K800i & blackberry feels a wee bit plasticy to hand. But then again, you don't want a ton weight in your hand either.

Blackberry is the ultimate communication device I will ever need, emails, text, MMS, calls, cam, video, gps. Just takes a bit of getting used to the options available!

Hello, I haven't got this phone yet but I have read several review sites & all has been good. I used to want a Sony Ericsson W960i, but after reading about it I changed my mind, seeing as it is slow & generally annoying. I really would like to get the BlackBerry 8110 pink, & would just like to know if anybody who owns this phone has found any serious flaws? E.G, it freezes or turns off?

Any comments, even good, would be appreciated. Thank you!

It's especially nice pulling it out on the train & have loads of girls looking at me thinking its great, so girlies if you want to get noticed the Pink Blackberry pearl 8110 is the way to go!

Finally manufacturers realise the girls like gadgets too & the colour is not hot pink but like in the name gorgeous pearl pink!

I absolutely love my pink BB 8110 & it does everything I would expect from a phone.

You can turn of the SureType option if you are struggling with this & use multi tap only, so that you only have to type a letter no more than twice.

You can also set SMS tones & ringtones for each profile, or for each individual. You can buy an application called Ringo to make this an easier task. You can buy new themes for your phone or buy software to create your own.

The SanDisk Micro SDHC 8GB card is supported, as I have purchased this for my phone & have no issues to report.

This phones looks absolutely fabulous & fashionable & a must for the girls.

I am surprisingly impressed with this phone! As a big Nokia fan, & someone who's never got on with any other brand phone, this is one of the best phones I have ever come across.

The phone is small, light & user friendly (once you initially get used to it). The keyboard is simple when you can visualise it as your computer keyboard rather than the usual mobile one.

The features are spot on, with a handy password keeper which is great for all those website, email, Internet banking passwords you can never remember!

I would prefer the backlight to be slightly brighter but that's a small imperfection on an otherwise great phone.

I have Carphone Warehouse sat nav software on their which is blinding. For £40 a year I have sat nav wherever I am, who's ever car I am in.

You can also access Facebook very easily & use all the functions like you would on a PC.

Battery life quite good but can be charged via USB which is a bonus as you can carry it with you as the chances of someone else having a charger you can borrow are quite slim.

Overall, a brilliant phone, highly recommended!

I love this phone, it is just awesome. It's pretty much got everything I want, normal email', the web, live calendar & address book management, video, camera, decent additional storage capacity & easy access to change the card. I think the only thing which would be good would be Wi-Fi & that's now on the 8120, I just didn't want to wait for it to come out on my network.

Awesome phone.
