I recently bought this phone on the O2 network & have been nothing but amazed at it. I was contemplating getting the infamous iPhone, leant it off my friend & let me tell you this, the BlackBerry is 100 times better.
Fair enough no 3G, but what do you need that for, the speed of connection to the net is as quick as you would want it, the 9700 is exactly the same only with 3G.
The way this phone feels, looks & gives off a certain presence in the room is great. I have loads of friends on the iPhone at work & this phone stands out from them all, getting emails from numerous accounts is a great thing, all the apps are good, some could be better, but that's why we have laptops at home also.
My advice is to buy this phone, you will not be disappointed, I will, from now on, stick with BlackBerry especially with the contract I got from O2, phone your network & ask for it all, they will give in!
Buy Buy Buy.

Well I got my Blackberry because it is Canadian & so am I. I will never give anything a 100% rating because there is nothing that man can make that will be 100%, If you know what I mean. Now so far I have not had any of the problems that I have read & I have had my Curve since Sept 2009.
I was feeling that the battery was getting low rather quick, so what I decided to do was to turn off my Connections at night. So far that has allowed my Battery a bit of a longer life. You just have to remind yourself to turn it back on in the morning. The fit in my hand is very comfortable & the weight is just right. Both cameras are good although I find the streaming on YouTube not good at all.
I will end my contract in 2011 & I will then decide if I will continue with the Blackberry or not. My provider just came in with a New Phone 3Gs & that sits in the corner of my eye. I like the apps of the BBYC but there is not enough of them.
So when my contract is finished in 2011, the amount of New Mobile Technology should be really good. I just hope the BBYC keeps up with it.

I have had an 8310 for a year or so, upgraded to the 8900, what a disaster, couldn't get on with it at all, the today theme on the 8310 isn't available on the 8900 & whilst the screen, camera & better, lighter & slimmer shape is a total winner, the day to day use is not good. It broke down after 2 weeks & I had to go back to my 8310 until a replacement arrives, I told our phone guys I don't want another one! The 8310 was like slipping on comfortable shoes, it is much better to use, but fatter, heavier & not as sleek. I am now looking at a pearl to compliment the 8310, use one at weekends.
If you have never had a blackberry the 8900 is great, but to you out there, I couldn't get on with this one at all.

I have had the phone four months in that time I have had it replaced twice & repaired twice, all have had the same problem which is going to sleep & waking up when it feels like. My opinion is that these phones only work properly in America.

This is my first Blackberry & I love it.
Very easy to use. Emails are sent straight to the phone, texting is easy with full QWERTY keyboard.
Good camera. Nice size screen. Good battery life.
You may think it is a little big (wide) at first & it takes some getting used to but once you do you'll love it.

I love this phone!
It's my first Blackberry, which I have wanted for ages. I've had it just under a week now & am so glad I got it.
I used to have the Tocco, & actually prefer this QWERTY keyboard to touch screen.
The screen colour is brilliant & it takes decent photos. It also receives emails instantly with no delays.
I would definitely recommend this phone.

This is my first BlackBerry. I have wanted one for ages but didn't like the design of the older models so when the curve 8900 came out & I seen they had gone with a new design I had to get one, & I am so glad I did!
It looks great & I love using the qwerty key pad. It's so simple, screen is very bright & it takes photos well.
Wi-Fi is great bonus. Very handy, some good apps for the phone too.
Battery life isn't too bad. Lasts about 2 to 3 days with quite a bit of usage.
I would recommend this phone to anyone.

What can I say, I can't find any templates! After years of using normal phones a friend got one & after 5 minutes I was hooked, had it 4 weeks now & had no freezing, take note Sony Ericsson, get emails straight away & takes great photos as well. Get one & you won't be disappointed.

Where do you start. My personal experiences with my first Blackberry device. I would have gladly given it away for 10pence to use in a public call box, but I persevered with it. The phone was very nice to look at well designed with nice chrome edged housing & Blackberry's own leather type protective case, nothing tacky or cheap about the finish. QUERTY key pad works great for texting & emailing even if you have large fingers.
Blackberry's are renowned for their use in business circles so I decided this is the device for me. I hate tecky stuff that is released full of bugs & glitches an requires the user to constantly download update to sort out issues that should have been sorted before release after all you wouldn't buy a car with only three out of its four wheels on it.
Blackberry have been around for years now so you would think they would be well sorted. My Berry went fault after about 14 days turning on & off randomly in middle of emails, texting, browsing menus & general became a real pain & unreliable. However I still kept it because it was a Berry.
My wife's got one now & her does all that a Blackberry is renowned for email, business applications, photos are great, & calling quality & clarity is superb. The battery life is variable depending on Bluetooth & Wi-Fi usage in phone mode & average use will last up to 4 days constantly on. Just received replacement Blackberry hope my Berry performs as well as my wife's. Warranty service is good.

Battery was depleted fully on first day on advice of sales assistant. Then was charged for 13 hrs & lasted 3 & a half days with heavy use as is normal with me getting a new toy. The first charge is very very important with lithium batteries!
I change my mobile every year at least once! I have been round them all. Gimmicks here & there. Last phone was LG Viewty. Best phone so far was N96 8GB let down by poor battery. BUT THIS IS A CLASSY NO NONENSE PHONE. I can't recommend this phone enough. My first blackberry & its brilliant. Screen superb. Making a call simple & texting is a cinch. What more can I say. Buy it & love it.

Good phone let down by poor battery life (2 days, light usage, turned off overnight), & it broke after a week! It wouldn't turn on. Then O2 let me down twice exchanging it so I am going to get a different phone from a different supplier.
In summary, good phone for a week while it worked.

What can I say, this phone is simply the best phone I've ever had. Beautiful to look at, great features & easy to use. The only minor thing is lack of 3G but EDGE is just as fast. If your a business user or just want a phone for everyday use, you can't fault it.

This is the best BlackBerry yet.
The best feature is the UMA network, which when connected, increases call quality & drops the call cost to zero!
This device can help people & companies who travel all over the world save thousands of pounds!
