The BlackBerry 8820 is a slim Smartphone which comes with extremely powerful capabilities. The Smartphone comes with a built in GPS navigation system & Wi-Fi technology. The handset is slim for a Smartphone which only measures 14mm in depth, 114mm in length & 66mm in width. The user will find the 8820 compact for a Wi-Fi capable Smartphone with many business features. The BlackBerry 8820 looks similar & has similar technologies as the BlackBerry 8800 but the 8820 has the added feature of Wi-Fi. The 8820 weighs 123 gram including the battery which provides a solid handset without feeling over heavy for carrying purposes. The phone comes with a large colour screen which has a screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The screen provides the user with a high colour & light sensing display. The screen automatically adjusts its lighting levels to suit the handsets environment whether it is indoors or outdoors. This handset is a truly brilliant piece of kit & its usability is brilliant. The only thing I don't like about it is its lack of a camera but overall I give it a 9.99 out of 10.

I only use some of the features of the phone mainly for email & phone calls. I am not a heavy user but the keyboard is starting to fade. I have problem with the handset at the moment in which I am unable to un log but Orange staff are not able to help. I can't even find Blackberry's helpdesk number to call them in their website & the user guides are not useful at all!

Is it possible to use on Skype via Wi-Fi. Also how can I get Tom Tom. I am not very computer literate as maybe you can tell but I am very pleased with the 8820 Blackberry are there any books about it.

First impressions are that I am very impressed with this. I have just been given the 8820 for my work & it certainly looks the part. The roller ball is very easy to use & the battery life is excellent. It is also very easy to set up to a Wi-Fi network & has some other really good functions on it too like when you put the 8820 in the pouch, it automatically locks the device. Cool! It's a shame it doesn't come with a camera (hence the 95% features)as I think this would make it king of the phones & I also have some trouble with the keys (90% usability) as I don't have the smallest thumbs in the world, but this is something you get used to & am happy to work on. Overall - Excellent, I love it.

All I can say is WHAT A PHONE, it does everything but pay the wages. A must have phone & very well put together. I have had it for 3 days now, no bugs, no down time. All A OK. Buy it now.
