The BlackBerry Tour 9630 is a solid yet compact 3G Smartphone which comes with easy to access features & function to suit all business & personal Smartphone user's needs. This handset has an elegant & classy black coloured casing. The user will find a well sized TFT screen complete with a 65k colour display & a beautifully clear screen resolution of 480 pixels by 360 pixels. Below the TFT screen the user will find a backlit full QWERTY keyboard which offers a user friendly input method. The Your 9630 comes with 256 megabytes of internal memory & this Smartphone has an expandable memory card slot which allows the user to insert a compatible memory card up to 8 gigabytes in size. It weighs one hundred & thirty grams including the battery & measures 11.2cm tall by 6.2cm wide by 1.42cm deep.

This handset has a security feature which allows the user to password protect their BlackBerry Tour 9630. The user can also lock their screen & use a sleep mode feature when the phone is not in use. The Tour 9630 supports a selection of messaging features which allows the user to communicate with others using text, symbols, sound, photos & even video clips to communicate. A MMS service allows the user to share a message containing text with sound & a photo or video clip can be added to this message which provides a quick photo sharing method. The user can create & share a message containing text which is known as a SMS message & is a quick & easy way to communicate with others without making a call. This instant messaging service is similar to an instant messaging service on the user's computer by this service is fully mobile & allows the user to enjoy chatting to compatible contacts via an online text chat. A built in Internet browser allows the user to experience a HTML Internet browsing experience on the BlackBerry Tour 9630.

An integrated 3.2 megapixel camera has a lens located on the back of the handset & this camera feature has a LED flash, an automatic focus feature & a two times digital zoom feature. The user can capture a clear & precise photo or record a video recording using this integrated camera feature. A built in image stabiliser will counter act any small movements made by the user when the user is taking a shot or recording a video. A built in music player allows the user to enjoy a music playing experience on their handset in many formats. The user can enjoy hearing their music out loud via the built in speakers. This handset supports a music playlist feature allowing the user to view their music selection on their TFT screen. The Tour 9630 supports iTunes synchronisation & the user can enjoy hearing their ringtones in a variety of formats including polyphonic sound, Midi & MP3 sound. A speaker phone feature allows the user to hear their caller over the phones built in speakers.

This Smartphone supports 3G HSDPA technology which provides the user with high speed connectivity & the user can enjoy a GPS navigation feature which supports BlackBerry Maps™. The user can find out nearby places of interest & find out directions to new destinations using this GPS navigation feature. It supports EDGE technology & GPRS which allows the user to transfer data files at high speeds between the Tour 9630 & other compatible devices. This Smartphone covers a quad band GSM network which covers GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 & the phone will switch between network bands automatically. It also works on a UMTS 2100 network which is a 3G network. This 3G Smartphone supports Bluetooth® wireless technology & USB connectivity which allows the user to connect to other devices using these connectivity options. A fitted battery is a rechargeable type battery which provides up to three hundred & thirty six hours of battery standby time or up to five hours of talk time for the user to enjoy.

This is a magnificent. I am upgrading from the 8800 & this seems to be the best option. I'd have bought the 8900 however, everyone has it & where I live, I really don't need Wi-Fi especially with the mobile providers here.

I cannot get the GPS to work with any of my programs on the 9630. Is there any software I can download to fix this. Please let me know.
