BenQ-Siemens E81 3G Phone Review

The BenQ-Siemens E81 is an attractive candy bar styled 3G mobile phone which comes in a slim & light casing. The handset is black in colour & is easy to hold in the users hand. The handset weighs 90 grams in total & measures 99.8 x 46.7 x 16.7 mm which provides a slim & manageable phone to carry around at all times. The E81 comes with 5 Mbytes of internal memory but the user can access the memory slot on the back of the handset & add a MicroSD™ memory card easily. The MicroSD™ memory cards come as an additional extra. The phone comes with up to 5 hours talk time & 300 hours worth of standby time on the battery. The E81 is a small & powerful 3G mobile phone which comes with good quality multimedia features. The BenQ-Siemens E81 looks similar in design to the BenQ-Siemens E71 but the E71 comes with a unique coated casing & differing features.

The E81 comes with a video calling feature & the user can use the camera on the back of the handset to take part in a video call. The user can play & record video footage which can be sent to other contacts or stored on the phones expandable memory feature. The built in 3G technology allows the user to enjoy live streams of video & audio. The phone comes with a colourful & large TFT screen which provides a screen resolution of 176 x 220 pixels. The built in camera feature is easy to use & allows the user to capture still photos which can be sent to others or saved easily. The camera is a 1.3 megapixel camera & the camera lens can be found on the back of the handset. The camera comes with a zoom & built in flash feature to make sure that photos are clear even in duller environments.

The phone comes with a email service which allows the user to send & receive emails when they are out & about. The user can send photos & video clips to others via the multimedia messaging service (MMS) which is provided on the BenQ-Siemens E81. The user can send & receive MMS messages which include text & sound with either a photo or video clip. The user can send a MMS message to any MMS compatible mobile phone user. The BenQ-Siemens E81 comes with a text message service (SMS) which allows the user to send a text only message to any SMS compatible mobile phone. The E81 comes with embedded Java™ games & the user can download more games if desired.

The BenQ-Siemens E81 is a fully UMTS capable mobile phone which comes with tri band technology & will switch between bands. The user can connect to compatible devises by either using Bluetooth® wireless technology or a USB connection between devises. The user can connect to the Web via the WAP XHTML browser & surf the Web for information when the user is out & about.

The integrated media player allows the user play music in all common audio formats & play video footage too. The media player comes with good sound quality & allows the user to enjoy the multimedia features on the E81. The user can choice ringtones in either MP3 or polyphonic sound.

MY BROTHER GAVE the PHONE TO ME FROM LONDON I DIDNT LIKE IT AT FIRST AS I WAS USING MY SHARP GX 25, & ONE DAY I DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TEST DRIVE, AFTER THAT DAY I NEVER SAW MY GX25, I NEVER BOTHERED ASKING IF ANY ONE SAW IT, the GOOD THING IS MY FRIEND KEEP COMPETING BUT ONCE I TAKE MY EF OUT THEY JUST SHUT DOWN. I LOVE THIS phone.

I have not had a BenQ-Siemens phone before & always stayed with Nokia & they have been totally reliable but I have been drawn to the BenQ-Siemens range on design & looks. My friend Sarah has a new BenQ-Siemens phone & she is really happy with it, so I may follow in her footsteps & try either the E81 or the E71 model. I like compact phones & I am dead against any opening systems. I want a good camera, long video recording, video streaming, MMS (goes without saying), bluetooth & high speed transfer. Reliability & battery life is most important of all to me.

E81 may be small but small means that the screen is smaller & I like a large screen to enjoy the multimedia on a phone with a specification like the BQS E81. Good features but too small for me.
