Had BlackBerry Storm loved it, had to take it back though, so I got an iPhone 3G instead, it is insane, 100 times better than BlackBerry Storm.

Best phone ever, not worth the extra money for 3GS though.

I can't believe anyone can be anything other than 100% positive about this phone. It's the world's best gadget ever.

So there are one or two features that this phone doesn't have that other phones do, did you just go out & spend your money without knowing what the specifications were? If you did, then you're a fool & it's not helpful to potential buyers if you mark it down because YOU didn't know what YOU were buying.

Had mine for over 12 months now, no problems at all, I could list all the good things about it but that would be pointless, it's all good, there is nothing bad. Apps are brilliant, style is the best & it ALWAYS, ALWAYS works. To those who've marked it down, please stop whinging & research your products first.

I thought the Apple was overrated & regretted buying it on pay as you go, however, now that its jailbroken & unlocked, it's the best gadget I've ever owned. Latest games, sat nav, applications, able to modify most of the interface. I.e. Display the real temp instead of just an icon, the clock icon displays proper time, carrier logo is no longer O2 but my name! , silly tweaks to really cool ones. All for free by the way.

If one does not fall hopelessly in love with this. Go to a doctor. This is a lovely phone. I have got nearly 35 apps from the app store. Games. Utilities. Information etc. A pleasure to use. The only gripes are as follows.

- Fingerprints & scratches galore!
- Can work only with iTunes.
- Bluetooth does not connect with anything, so useless.

Well that's it. It is a very nice phone. People write things about it because there is excessive attention that this mobile gets. & also some chaps out there are jealous (sour grapes).

Shirley! Do a Google search on how to download your ringtones to the iPhone & it will come up with a YouTtube link to a guy who has done it successfully! It works a dream but only will let you save 30 seconds of a song. I am sorry I can't remember the guys link.

The iPhone is absolutely Brilliant! I have had mine since February & have just downloaded the 3.0 software & it works a treat! Go Apple!

Very good phone with a sleek design, reminds me of the PS3 a bit, has loads of downloadable content off the apps store anything from games to restaurant advice, you can also download your favourite songs off iTunes while on the move, very easy to use but you can't delete music straight from the phone you must plug it in to a computer or Mac first, the speaker quality is also very poor. But overall a great phone.

Quite simply the best phone on the market now 3.0 is here. The camera is only 2MP's but I've got some quality shots from it even in low light. The battery life isn't great but there are ways & means of saving this, plus you can charge from a USB, which I, personally am never far from! The app store is second to none & the design is timeless! I was an apple hater once, & I challenge you, the haters to give it a shot, you won't go back to an 'imitation' (irritation?) smart phone!

I am a long time Mac user & I like this product for many reasons. Many of the missing elements in this phone, MMS, cut & paste etc will be addressed in the forth come ver 3 upgrade. However I would advice caution before buying the phone until you test the reception in your area. The coverage by O2, at least in the part of Somerset, Devon, Dorset I live & work in, it is very, very poor in comparison with say Vodafone. This severely limits how useful the phone is!

iPhone is not what I expected it to be, I believe it's over hyped very limited web browsing experience no flash no java.

No Bluetooth I hate the way files are saved you can't organise them into different folders.

All music videos etc have to go via iTunes which is not good. I prefer my Nokia N96 can't wait till the Nokia N96 comes.

If you want to just use this as a phone then turn off some of the gizmos & battery life will be the same as many other phones. The problem with the battery life is the fact there is so many uses for the iphone, this phone is impossible to put down, there is just so much you can do with it that it's in use far more than other phones.

If the iphone had been marketed as a pocket web browser, portable GPS, ipod & video viewer, oh & by the way, it's also a phone. People wouldn't be complaining.

T9 better than QWERTY? Absolute RUBBISH! I have always been a fan of T9 predictive text & now, Honestly, after using the qwerty key board on the iPhone, it's a breeze! I can abbreviate however I want & a hell of a lot faster than with T9! Look guys the iPhone is truly a Magic Phone! Don't bag this Amazing phone till you TRULY have given it a decent go. You will never go back! 2MP against 8MP? Who cares! The iPhone takes great photos! Want something better, then get a bloody digital camera! Twats! There are Heaps of ways to prolong the battery life of this phone if you bother to take the time to look into it. The Apps for this phone are Brilliant & a lot cheaper than other phone companies charge! All round a great phone. You won't be disappointed!

This phone is over rated 2MP camera is awful by today's 8MP cameras (& I know it's the quality of lens that counts not mp count) no Bluetooth sorry very limited Bluetooth only can be used for an earpiece not transferring files, Apple wants everyone to pay for everything not give things away free. Oh wallpapers can't be used as a background which it has some lovely pictures built into it but you can only use a boring black wallpaper with the menu on top. Texting is done by QWERTY so no normal phone pad which means you have to type every word in full not like a phone with T9.

It's disappointing to see so many people bag this phone. I have the iPhone & to be honest, the camera is as good as my LG Viewty 5MP. No, it doesn't have a flash but big deal! If you want camera quality photos, buy a digital camera! The battery life will increase substantially if you turn off 3G & all the other little battery sucker devices that's built into this great phone. Go to the apple website for more tips. If you're unsure about buying this phone I say go for it! It took me 4 months to decide & I am so pleased I got it, just this week! I was looking at getting the LG Renoir but after having played with an iPhone, I just had to get this phone! You won't regret it & don't listen to what others say!

I bought an iPod touch last Xmas. I had it for a while & decided to combine my phone with an iPod, so the iPhone 3G. It looks great, easy to use. But Apple could have made it So much better.

Negatives.
- Poor battery life.
- Can't transfer files via Bluetooth.
- Bad camera.
- Poor signal in places
- & the price. I mean it's pretty much the same as a iTouch.

Positives.
- Internet in your pocket.
- A superb iPod at the same time.
- YouTube link.
- The app store is pretty cool as well, basically the iTouch again.

If you are looking for a phone, look elsewhere. But for an entertainment device look no further.

WOW! I've had this phone a month & put off writing my review because I thought that maybe the novelty of the phone would wear off & I would discover some problems. I Can honestly say that this is by far the best phone that I have ever had. Oh, it's also the best personal organiser & mobile web browser I've ever had, apart from being the coolest looking, best designed phone out there.

To balance this, it did take me a couple of weeks to get used to the QWERTY text keyboard with Apple's own predictive text but I can now text much faster that with a traditional phone & T9 predictive text. Also, the camera is quite good, but not as laden with features as some other phones, but I don't use my phone as a camera anyway so that doesn't bother me.

I would definitely definitely recommend the iPhone 3G & am absolutely delighted with it.

Hope this helps.

To people saying this is a superb phone or a five star phone. You'd better say this is a superb console with a phone because this is what it is.

Very good if what you want is entertainment & one fast organiser. Apple made it with this brand new software.

Very bad if you think this is a proper phone. Because, No MMS, No SMS resend, No flash, No WIFI, No compatible Bluetooth with most phones, No video call, non pockety.

Let's call a spade a spade. This phone is outstanding as a console phone but is far away to be the ultimate something as they have been constantly advertising.

This is a good phone but think Apple need to do some fine tuning to make it a great phone. Battery doesn't last long enough (charged twice a day sometimes), Bluetooth doesn't pair with other phones so it is impossible to send & receive items & no MMS capability. Bluetooth & MMS is available on the most basic of phones so Apple have dropped the ball here.

I've always had Nokia but as the N96 had such bad reviews I tried the iPhone, the lack of these features is very disappointing!

Well after a year of owning a Nokia N95 & LG Viewty I decided to get a 3G iPhone as I was going to get an iPod for Xmas anyway.

After two weeks I have fallen in love with this phone & given my mum my old N95 (she is happy! ).

The phone is sleek, compact & the screen is superb. Also the available Apps are affordable, & the free ones are also great.

It also doubles up superbly as an iPod.

The only negatives I can say are.

- No MMS support
- Can only connect via Bluetooth to headsets. Cannot connect to other Bluetooth enabled phones.
- Battery life is a bit poor.

But 5 stars from me!

I have actually not been able to stop laughing at peoples usability scores. The interface is spot on. Everything moves with easy & not at ANY point have I come across an issue with the way you interface with the phone.

I am on 02 which works everywhere, the Internet speed is fast but I don't think it's the fastest out there (Not that I have experienced better).

No one can argue that it's the best looking NO ONE! I actually love the look of the xperia but this phone is gorgeous to look at. In fact when your down the pub & you pull it out you can't help but notice envious stares for your mates that went out & got the n96 & the Samsung innov8. Not even the c905 has the same class.

OK the only problem this phone has is APPLICATIONS. Yeah there is a wide choice but nothing like office that most are used to & your not given as much freedom.

I read someone complained about sorting the bookmarks HA HA HA.

I also read something about predictive text HA HA HA. It has a qwerty keyboard to no need for predictive, & any mistakes you make it corrects them, allowing you to type faster than you could with a number pad style input.

The camera takes nice pictures. I uploaded some of the picture to facebook & they still look great. The only thing maybe is the flash but the only time Id need that is at night on the weekends & by that point I am to worse for wear to operate a camera any way!

A very, VERY good phone. In fact, it is not a phone but a scaled down Mac book. The applications are great & the build quality the usual quality you can expect from Apple.

There are some minor bugs e.g. the web browser sometimes crashes when trying to view videos on the web & BBC iPlayer does not work so listening to the radio is a no go.

My other disappointment is the camera. My previous phone was a Nokia N95 where the camera was awesome! The iPhone 3G has a very very poor camera. Until they get a good camera, Apple should leave this feature out.

This phone I highly recommend, by the far the best phone I have had :o).

A really great phone, just a shame it is so bulky. Yeah it may crash every once in while but come on guys you are expecting it to do what your laptop does & is less than one tenth of the size!

I would highly recommend this one as it is far superior to the first one. Great downloadable applications & fully customizable. Camera is not fantastic but at the end of the day thats not what this mini computer is for. I will certainly be looking forward to the next generation addition.

Had my iPhone 3G for a couple of days now. So glad I got this over rival phones from Nokia, Sony & blackberry. The best features for me are the ease of use, superb touch screen interface & the web browsing experience. Nothing can touch the iPhone for web browsing in my opinion. By far the best phone I have owned. Would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting one.

First the good bit, the user interface is unsurpassed, in my opinion. Without exception the other touch screens on the market are pale imitations, just watch the demos on YouTube & see how often they do not respond to the first touch. Apple's UI is the best, period.

But that's about it!

I have downloaded many programmes &, at least, they are cheap. Some are brilliant, such as the games which look stunning, but a lot of the productivity stuff is hit or miss. Some GPS based applications are really unreliable but, hardly surprising, because the iPhone's GPS is complete pants! No wonder the turn by turn navigation software providers have gone all quiet because iPhone's GPS is just too poor to work consistently.

It also frustrates me that, when you do find an application that doesn't work, you can't get a refund for love or money!

All of the other software limitations mentioned are liveable, in my opinion, except the Bluetooth one. Trying to go hands-free with the iPhone is a nightmare. I have two cars with built in hands-free &, although iPhone would pair OK, the call quality was unusable. Soon as I paired my old phone all was fine.

My iPhone has just been sold on eBay. The interface is so good I almost relented but I am a business user & this phone needs more substance to back the style.

I love my iPhone, it's the best phone I've ever had & I've had a lot of mobiles. I love my computer so this phone is perfect for me. The Safari browser is excellent & when there's no Wi-Fi signal the 3G kicks in. The only down side is, if you like to text then this phone may not be for you. Texting has been made easy by way of touch screen, qwerty key board, however it lacks the ability to allow you to forward your text messages, because you can't go back in to a message to resend it. If you want to forward your text, then you have to retype the whole thing again. The iPhone also lacks the ability to send SMS to groups, clients, family etc. You can send the same message to more than I person at the same time, however it's a bit tedious. Enough of the bad points I love everything else, Internet ability is great, email, organiser & calendar is fabulous, 2MP camera isn't bad, iPod function exactly like the iPod, however if you think it will be compatible with you iPod dock etc, forget it! , iPhone 3G doesn't support charging via Firewire, so you'll probably need a new one, there are a couple on the market now for iPhone 3G. There a lot of useful & fun Applications to download via iTunes some free, some not, but they're very reasonable & you get lots of free updates.

I have had one of these for two week & it just gets better & better as for the camera only being 2MP most people can't take photos anyway! & really taking pictures of your drunken mates after a mad night out usually get you in trouble with them.

If you want to take pictures buy an SLR!

This phone is about organising your life, something apple apps are great at, why send things by Bluetooth when you can use email being able to view a PDF file on the screen of your mobile is first rate.

A lot of the people I know just seem to send each other jokes & ringtones etc via Bluetooth, but hey if you want to amuse your mates tell them the joke, half the fun is laughing at you when you get the punch line wrong.

The only thing wrong with this phone is its always covered in finger marks!

This is by far the greatest device ever created. It is a good phone too.

Depends what you use your phone for really if you'll like it. I use this for my email, reading latest news on the go, checking stocks, surfing the web, finding direction & listen to music. Plus I make calls from time to time.

The camera is not great, but I have a compact & a DSLR for taking photos so don't every expect a camera with a fixed lens (99% of camera phones) to take good photos.

The added GPS in the 3G model is an extremely useful feature & something I find myself using often. It is used with Google Maps which offers both satellite photo or map view it's great.

The video is good, but I don't really use this as I don't use YouTube much & although I've uploaded a few tv shows onto it plus a movie trying to watch on the screen for more than 15 minutes gets tiring. If you want to watch TV, well use a TV. As for the iPod, best edition yet, interface is very good & great for listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks.

The new application store from Apple bring this phone to a whole new level. From games to business applications this makes the phone the best available, I have Bloomberg, NY Times, Facebook, LinkedIn & many more apps that I use including some games too to pass time quickly.

I don't understand the people who give this phone poor ratings, I have never used a device this much & would now be lost without it. The interface is extremely smart & makes other phones look dated, it just works. Some may not like the touch keyboard but I found it good & I've big hands (am 6ft 3 Inches with size 13 UK (14 USA) feet) does take a about a week to get the speed up with typing.

I have synced this with both a PC & Mac & although it works great with PC I now have it synced to my Mac only as I prefer the better integration it offers with iCal, Address Book & Safari.

Also I downloaded an Internet radio application for this (allRadio) so now use it as my Internet radio at night time docked with my iPod speaker system, another great advantage.

Absolutely first class looks & design, as a mobile Internet gadget it really is the business with proper Internet available & push emails sent to your iPhone when they are received is great.

iPhone is the same as an iPhone touch which is class leading, videos are spot on when compared to other mobile video ability.

Camera isn't great without flash but in daylight the picture looks great on its large 16m colour display, (How many phone pictures do you actually upload & print. Really) I have a Sony C902 too but as a multimedia gadget there is no comparison. ALL others are phones that can dabble in multimedia. The iPhone is a multimedia machine with a phone.

With its many applications available now there is almost nothing it can't do (iFooty rocks as a useful app, a must for all football fans).

Having put my sim card back in my N95 & given up with the iphone because it's so horrible to use, I realise one of the most annoying things about the iphone is points below.

- iphone Bluetooth is incompatible with most other devices. It won't pair with my PC, my laptop my son's phone, my printer, my wife's laptop, phone etc. I believe this was done deliberately by Apple so you have to use itunes or some such reason. That makes me very angry. Bluetooth is supposed to be a universal standard like USB. In making the iphone incompatible with most other Bluetooth devices they have in effect consciously made it a defective product. I've never heard of such a thing. It's a completely crass thing of them to have done.

- Can't switch off predictive text. To add to this, the predictive text you're stuck with doesn't seem to learn!

- Can't enlarge font size in text entry box. Why have a relatively large phone screen then leave the customer with tiny fonts!

- Can't forward SMS's or phone numbers.

- Can't sort order of Internet bookmarks.

- Last Incoming & last outgoing calls mixed up in one call log so difficult to distinguish outgoing from incoming calls.

- Myspace music doesn't play. Same with other sites where programmes such as flashplayer etc are needed because those programmes don't work on the Apple platform.

- Here's one of the most irritating niggles with the iphone. Can't use the iphone with one hand unlike most phones where a little group of selection keys gives access to most functions with a single thumb stroke. The iphone touch screen is too sensitive to the duration of finger stroke. Has to be quick stabs with index finger so thumb doesn't work well. The iphone is a big slippery lump you need two hands to operate where icons are dotted all over the place rather than all within easy reach of your thumb.

- Any phone screen, including the iphone screen, is too small to use the Internet conveniently. I've got a PC at work & two at home. Do I really need the Internet in my pocket? No not with a silly little phone screen. So the main reason to justify having an iphone, namely 3G, isn't a valid enough reason for putting up with the poor ergonomics & camera.

- the camera is of course not as good as for example the N95 which has 5M pixel & a Carl Zeiss lens.

- When you've finished with the phone then press home key the next time you use it, the previous application you've finished with opens up! When I go to use my phone I expect the home key to give me the desktop for me to select the application I want to use. Not the application I finished with hours ago!

- the Qwerty keypad is so small you keep hitting the adjacent key by mistake. I'm so used to multiple key strokes via the telephone keypad on my N95 to enter text that it's quicker & more reliable & less fiddly than the tiny Qwerty keypad on the iphone.

Summary. The iphone is very slick & impressive, but alas ergonomically poor. The wow factor is there initially, but then you find it's not so nice to use. In fact it's a bit gimmicky & I can't forgive Apple for the Bluetooth issue. I found the 12 irritating problems listed above within a week of owning my iphone. No doubt there are many more problems one would find over a longer period of time.

I am happy to be taking my iphone back to the shop & switching back to my Nokia N95. I'm very very disappointed with the iphone.

I was waiting for the Omnia to come out until my phone broke & I needed to have a phone immediately (& not have one of the terrible simple phones till the Omnia comes out) & I thought I should give the apple iPhone 3G a chance ( a long term 18 months, chance). I knew what it lacked, I just didst think it was as crucial as it could be.

Using the iPhone I have to say it is pretty amusing with the interface, the graphics, the sleekness of its design & the curved glossy back, as well as the speed of the Internet connection. Apart from that, it is a pretty much limited phone with crippling communication options.

A MAJOR defect is that it doesn't have a copy & paste option, i.e. You can't use a number sent to you in an email or a text message to send in another email or text. Or even any other sort of information.

Another, you can't actually forward a text message, you can't send to multiple recipients. & yet more of a MAJOR SET BACK. Is that the text prediction works COMPLETELY the opposite of the way windows mobile does. In a pretty much dumb way. It's like Steve is just doing it to have a laugh. As you are typing on the on screen keyboard.

The text prediction does as follows,
- Offer you only ONE option.
- If you don't want to use the text it has predicted for you, you actually have to STOP typing & touch the word. Meaning if you continue typing & press the space button, it will select the offered suggestion even if you don't want it.

Also the battery life is good if you are not really using the phone or the Internet, because if you do. Your battery dies almost IMMEDIATELY.

The voice coming out of its built in speakers is pretty low. Hence a very low ringing volume as well as the vibration doesn't really alert you that much if the phone is in your pocket. Which also takes us to wonder why the HECK isn't it possible to use the same phone ring tone to be a message ring tone & vice versa?

Internet browsing, hmmm. A bit controversial, safari is a nice app & it is very useful on mobile, the zooming option is amazing & the landscape view is nice as well. The fact that you could open & select multiple browsing pages is very handy. BUT NO FLASH PLAYER OR JAVA? what are you think STEVE?

If we assume we don't need a memory card slot & will use the intentional memory to store stuff ( eliminating the option of file exchange on the go, by even making it worse by not having a Bluetooth transfer option) the internal memory of a maximum of a 16GB, is terribly frustration. I mean, if you have a big screen you would probably want to watch movies & TV shows on it, & assuming it is also your iPod you will need to put your music library on it too. You really think the 16 GB are enough for all that? (that's if you don't already have the 8GB, may the force be with you).

I will not even talk much about the camera, but as if the choice of only having a 2 MP camera wasn't terrible enough, the camera software has go no options WHAT SO EVER. It only has ONE button, which is to take a picture (& no hardware snap button, meaning it is really difficult to take a picture of yourself without you looking at the screen to press the snap on screen touch button).

Well to sum up, I am severely disappointed in what apple had to offer in this product (being a huge apple fan) confirming that this phone is nothing but a blood sucking scam from the manufacturers of the best computes ever. If I ever get a chance of having my money back I would. This is definitely not a money well spent deal. I still think the SAMSUNG Omnia respects its user far more than the iPhone 3G does treating the users as they are as beginners as apple are in the mobile phone industry.

- A bit on the heavy side.
- Sometimes you will just crave buttons as there is only a menu button.
- Some features on the phone aren't very useful to some people so they have wasted their money in something they didn't even want.
- For a very upmarket phone a 2.0 megapixel camera isn't very good really & no flash either.

I have tried loads of phones the past few weeks, such as the Motorola Rokr E8, HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N95 & LG Viewty to name a few. & all of them I took back within a week, the iPhone however I am loving it.

People say, it's got a rubbish camera, well its better than the LG Viewty which was a blurred mess even after 30 or so shots & different settings. It's a quick point & shoot affair on the iPhone which is all most people need.

You can't Bluetooth pictures etc or send them in MMS, well I sent in the last 12 months about 8 pictures via Bluetooth & MMS, so that don't bother me.

What I love is the unlimited Internet surfing where ever I am with the O2 contract, & the very accurate GPS which is miles better than the HTC Touch Diamonds & Nokia N95. It's amazing to be able to zoom right in on Google earth & watch the blue GPS dot move as you walk around your garden, it is that precise.

The Apple store is a great way of getting all the latest & best software apps for it, the iPod music player the ease at which it was able to fully pair up with my JVC EXAD KD AVX33 Bluetooth head unit displaying all contacts etc.

I never wanted an iPhone, being one of the people saying its rubbish & overhyped etc, well I am eating those words now & even my wife who hates gadgets is very impressed with it.

I suspect that the people who are slating it are the people who don't own one, yet!

The camera is only 2 megapixel yet the picture quality is by far better than my 5 megapixel Nokia or Samsung. The seamless touch integration when doing daily tasks is an absolute joy. & now with the introduction of the App store I have more apps than you could shake an N95 at!

Brain training is one such addictive app that puts the DS version in the shade! I've also got lots of cool apps from 3D games that will rival a PSP, to video & voice recorders.

My only problem with this phone is the battery life but even that, as poor as it is, is better than my N-Series!

For you people out there that don't have this phone then I suggest you go buy, or at least try it properly before slating it. The iPhone 3G is a piece of art, yes most of the functionality is available on a lot of other phones, but none operate in any way near the same way. The key with this phone is the way it works. The whole user experience is superb - intuitive, seamless & a pleasure to use which a very high quality screen which has a brilliant touch interface. The web surfing is practically as good as on a PC, which I've never come across on a mobile phone so far, not on a Sony Ericsson or a Nokia & I've had both. The text facility is unique & the email is near Outlook quality. The iPod speaks for itself, better even than the Walkman phones for sound clarity & the way music is organised & presented, the camera although only 2MP is of a higher grade lens so its 2MP is a good as many on a higher res but with lower quality lens & the range of applications from buying music via iTunes on the fly, checking your FaceBook profile, to doing a Sudoku or finding your way around with the brilliant GPS maps facility, this phone has so much to offer & does it all so beautifully.

I've been a died in the wool Nokia & Sony Ericsson fan for over 10 years & like many when I first heard the hype about the Apple phone I was like yeah, whatever, & certainly the absence of 3G on the first model did not even tempt me. My last phone was the Sony Ericsson W960i, a lovely Smartphone, 8GB, Walkman player, email, calendar etc which I loved, but even this just does not compare to my iPhone which I was determined not to like but has just completely won me over & I can't see myself going back to another model until they catch up.

Of course it's not perfect, being tied to O2 excluded many potential users (although you can buy an unlock code very easily now) & the battery life is a pain if you play video or constantly surf or use GPS, plus the text input does take getting use to, & you need a third party software to customise ringtones, but I am happy to live with that for the time being & I am sure Apple will address this in future models.

The iPhone is in my opinion as near to perfection as a mobile PDA, phone can get at the moment & Apple have managed to create a step change in consumer expectations that other manufacturers are going to have to work hard to compete with. Try it.

I am a Mac & a PC user since more than 20 years & quite fed up of seeing Apple manufactured equipment discussed in emotional rather than in rational terms.

I used up to a few days ago an old Palm Treo 650 device, which I synchronized with Palm Desktop for Task & agenda management, & used as my personal mobile phone. I use a Nokia E65 & tested a Blackberry 8300 as professional phones. The Blackberry is so complicated to use that I had to buy & partially read a 600 plus pages book in order to configure it to retrieve my email & sync the phone with my computer. I was not really successful synchronizing the Blackberry with the Macs so I decided to continue using my old & faithful Palm & gave up of the Blackberry. I keep it to offer to an acquaintance that I moderately dislike. The Nokia is small, & light, & functional but the instruction that you need at that exact moment is always 4 layers deep in the menu hierarchy & you must remember that to get there you have to push the read bottom, them the blue one, to slide the grey arrow to the right & turn the phone upside down. Very intuitive. The iPhone is a much more complicated device than the Nokia, with functionalities equivalent to the Blackberry, so I was expecting to spend a few hours learning how to use it. I got mine from the shop at 7 p.m, went home, 30 minutes to get there & start configuring it. By 8 p.m. I had activated the phone & learned to use all its basic features including retrieving the email without reading any manual, unfortunately one.

As it has been happing with computer & their operative systems sine some time, probably in one year most mobiles will be imitations of the iPhone. Some better, worse than the original. & we may have a terrible new Apple something that most other companies will imitate in 2010.

In India iphone 3G is coming in September 2008. But I want to know something about iphone.

- What do I do if the iphone hangs, because its battery is built in.
- If a virus affects the iphone when its connected to the Internet, how can it would be removed, because the iphone has no antivirus, like Nokia (N95 has F secure).

No doubt Apple will keep making tiny changes to keep it's fans spending more money, not good enough, this is still missing many features of it's rivals costing much less, I have changed to a chinese copy at £70.

The iphone is actually rubbish people only like it because you can touch it in ways & it got a iPod on that's why you get MP3 on mobiles. & all the other stuff on it you probably need the Internet. The cameras rubbish just a 2MP & doesn't have a flash & not even a light so you can't see pictures in the dark.

& it is very rubbish the LG Viewty is better if you want a touch phone & the Nokia N95 8GB is a lot better in every way!

Hi everyone, just writing in to say that this device is too good. We somehow always find faults with everything, often ignoring the good. As they say we never remember the grains of rice but do remember the little stones that may come into our mouths.

All you out there. Just go & buy the iPhone. It is fantastic. Awesome touch UI, good battery, super chic & very stylish. Connectivity ease of use is commendable. :-).

Does anyone actually own one of these? Please help me decide whether to buy the iPhone or wait for Omnia.

With iPhone.
- Can you put it on silent?
- Can you download & watch films?
- Does it support various video formats (other than MPEG)?
- What is the calendar & organizer like?
- Can you go to every single one of the websites or is there a restriction?
- Would it work in Asia, Middle East, Far East & Russia etc if I am on holiday?

I don't use Bluetooth anyway so I am not bothered about it not working extensively. & I am not too bothered about the camera either, I need it to have a reliable fully working Internet & GoogleMail & maps. Your opinion would be appreciated, thanks all.

This phone is really over hyped, went into O2 store to get it & realised how many features it is missing.

The size of the handset is way too big in my opinion not pocket friendly.

The big no no for me was the fact that even though I was willing to put up with missing features that phones from 10 years ago had, the ringtone volume was appalling.

I asked for a demo & I could hardly hear it. I mean that was supposed to be one of the improvements over the old phone.

Overhyped, overpriced.

Apple have once again managed to create a huge hype over this phone, probably due to their huge marketing campaign but the only thing special about this phone is the good web browser & video playback. 3G has been on phones for years & apple should have put it in their first phone & only having a 2 Mp camera is horrendous, this just shows how bad the iPhone is. Apple brag on about how easy the phone is to use, well what do you expect in a phone that can barely do anything e.g. It has Bluetooth but you can't send anything with it or receive data because it's for headset use only, it comes with N Series devices.

This is a great phone, just see it as an awesome iTouch that you can send texts & call people, giving it 5% shows you do not have one or can't afford one. Sorry :).

This is a terrible phone. I can't believe everyone is gossiping about how brilliant this is, but on my opinion, it's TRASH! There, but remember this is just my opinion. Others do think this is fantastic, but I don't. Sorry.
