From a Nokia user, I've got more than a few of them :).

A mate bought a Skypephone S2 & banged on about it, I took a look at it & bought one.

I've had my Skypephone S2 for a couple of weeks now & for the money, mine was £39.99, it's not bad.

OK, the camera, for a 3.2MP isn't as good as it sounds but what the heck, if I want to take pictures I use a 10MP digital camera. I reckon we've all come to expect a lot from what are basically mobile phones. Does it make & receive phone calls? Yep. Can you text with it? Yep. It's ticked all the boxes for a phone so far, all the rest is gravy :).

I agree with some of the posts on here that say this feature is not so good & that feature could be better but for under 40 quid? Come on, all you get at that kind of money is an el-cheapo budget PAYG, but it'll have a dumb dumb keypad & next to no features.

The S2 is better than that.

For sure it's got it's issues but what piece of complicated kit doesn't? I'd also agree with a previous poster on the Sony Ericsson thing, that's what I thought the first time I used it.

Where this bit of kit scores is for £10 every three months you can call anyone on 3 for free. You can call anyone on Skype for free (well, almost free, you get 4, 000 minutes per month) & as a Mobile Internet Modem, those features alone make it worth the price.

I like mine & am well happy with it, nuff said.

Pile of rubbish to be honest. One good feature is the modem function, just plug it in USB & it will upload. Camera is not to bad Skype is basic. Better on S1 has there is an upgrade on that model. Sound is shockingly low. They freeze. Turn themselves off. But I love mine just because it's a modem LOL. I would recommend them for cheap access to net via modem function though. I would love a firmware upgrade to give same kind of functionality as INQ1. Only buy if wanting Skype or modem.

I got this phone 6 months ago on a 36 month deal.

It's an alright phone & has all the features such as Skype, Facebook & Google to hand on the front switcher.

Only a number of problems.

Number buttons & size, the buttons are too small & horrible to use. They feel like really cheap plastic sitting on top of the phone, should have been more flush to the phone than stuck out.

The '3 buttons' around Menu & Cancel there is too many buttons here in one area & it is really hard to get the one you require.

3.2 megapixel camera, hmmm. I am doubting very much whether this phone really does have a 3.2MP camera in. My digital camera which also is 3.2 mp (Canon A75) produces far higher picture quality than the phone, even with the flash off. Could possibly be only a cheap lens. Also found out the lens smudges too easily.

It's alright for a basic phone with lots of features on it, however don't get done with 3 existing customers if you really want this phone your far better cancelling your contract (NB. Remember the 30 day cancellation period! ) & taking out a new 6 month one as 3 will only let existing customers have this phone on an 18 month contract & it's really not worth it.

I've been using this phone & although I like the overall design & feel of the phone, it does not work very well where I am using it as the 3G coverage which you need for Skype is very poor. Check this before you buy.

I have just bought this phone today already I love it to bits figured out how to work it very easily the interface is very good & so is the features but not as much compared to a Sony Ericsson, a brilliant music player with all the features you would expect from a phone MP3 player. Brilliant full screen video view & good 2.2 Inch screen for all the Internet features, also the look of the phone is very sophisticated design which looks very nice.

There are a few of bad points, the camera does not live up to its name of 3.2 megapixel camera & the sound is not very loud & bad quality as there is no separate speaker (it uses the same speaker that you use to listen to phone calls) also the phone is a fingerprint magnet.

But on the whole I think for the price of £69.99 on 3 pay as you go, it is a brilliant phone for the money.

I have this phone for about 4 weeks I want to write a review about it & hope it gives you an idea of how it is. It is a good looking handset, light & tiny & feels good in hand & in pocket & has a shiny stainless steel battery cover. Big screen with good resolution gives you nice & tidy picture. Actually for me more feels like Sony Ericsson handsets. If you are a texter it's your phone, very nice buttons for texting. Sound quality for phone calls is clear. Software is based on Java & it's easy to use as I said feels like Sony Ericsson handsets. Skype is working well on it for anybody who wants make skype calls to countries with slow Internet speed actually I tested to call to Iran & it was much better than I expected & it puts a big smile on my face every time I use it. Battery life is good & it's not getting hot when you are using the handset. Internet speed is not bad but It's not able to open Arabic & many none English websites software is not encoding them. It can be used as Internet modem which I be honest with you I didn't try it. Music player is alright you need memory for it otherwise its easy & hands free head set is not bad.

& the down sides, camera is 3.2 mp which is not bad but it hasn't got Flash & zoom & Auto or manual focus. It has no separate speaker & for listening to music on speaker is not good. Other phones usually have separate speaker on back of phone but this one not. As result ringtone has not good quality. No games only has links to buy games. Phone speed not so great specially when you watching your photos. You can't remove or change many of setting because 3 Network has done it with their own thing & if you have used 3 phones you know some of them are really annoying.

In my opinion this is a good phone, fantastic value & great fun.
